Well, I had my Equium Toshiba Laptop since te 18th March 2008. Since then it's been back to PC World Twice, the first they couldn't find anything wrong, the second time they forgot to fix something. The problems it's faced are: Blue Screen of Death Faulty DVD/CD Drive Overheating and Turning Off Unable to read discs 3 Trojan Horses (still currently on disc) The fan was supposed to be replaced back in February 2009, but PC World failed to replace it or fix it, and since then it reheats and shuts down. Recently today, it had shut off over twenty times in the spaces of 5-15 minutes. I tried product recovery in case Trojan Horses were making it worse, as the Trojans have eaten away at my 80GB hard drive, and its no 73GB. However, my computer is failing to start up Product Recovery, and my anti-viral systems are shut off, and can't be turned back on. The problem of overheating has been resolved, however, I still need to restore my laptop completely and fully (wiping everything off) so the trojans are killed and any other faults are cured. What I do: 1) Put the disc in and shut it off. 2) Turn laptop on and hold F12 3) Menu comes up with HHD, FFD, CD/DVD, LAN and USB 4) I was told to click on HHD, the hard drive 5) It restarts the computer normally and doesn't do what it's supposed to Am I doing something wrong? For the 7th time in less than 2 years, this HP printer has been delivering unto my computer viruses and causing a mayhem of disturbances, which have been diagnosed by my computer company in being an inferior HP driver problem. The HP company has ignored all communication from me on the phone, and emails were not answered, or very vague in the problem. Now it seems that this HP printer has an issue of causing viruses to be entered into your system; blocking out your viral protection and all Microsoft updates. NOT GOOD! And this information is coming from professionals who focus and are experienced in this. Their recommendations were to contact HP (which I've tried from day one to resolve this issue upon their product, and have been denied communication unless I pay into a protection program of $59). Good grief! I contacted Best Buy from day one to report this, and was told that they can't accept this return and that I needed to contact HP on this. Way to Go Best Buy! No help anywhere. Is there not a real-life concerning person out there that knows what the heck is going on here? I'm paying out repeatedly money to have my computer freed from viruses, as this printer's driver is inferior and is allowing all to enter. Take heed you all and be cautious! Even though some have HP and like it, and that is grand and swell and wonderful, but some like me are constantly having repairs and things happening. This "Service Hang Report" that is received, is all about the HP printer, causing a hang up in starting up and it can't be repaired. So what is next? This is what you will find. Latex Condoms, when used properly, are highly effective against pregnancy – although no contraceptive can guarantee 100% effectiveness. Any use of Latex Condoms, when used properly, may help reduce the risk of catching or spreading many Sexually Transmitted Diseases (“STDs”) such as syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia infections, genital herpes, and AIDS; however, they cannot eliminate the risk. For maximum benefits, it is important to follow the instructions for use printed on the inner side of the package. Failure to do so may result in the loss of the benefits of a condom. During intimate contact, lesions and various body fluids can transmit STDs. Therefore, a new condom should be applied each and every time before any such contact occurs. Another label actually says: See warnings and carefully follow instructions for use printed on inner side of carton. This product is intended to help prevent pregnancy. It does not protect against HIV infection (AIDS) and other Sexually Transmitted Diseases (“STDs”). Holes in Condoms... STDs are very tiny organisms, minuscule in size compared to sperm. These supersmall viruses can get through a hole in a condom much more easily than sperm can. For example, HIV (the AIDS-causing virus) is so small that two million of the disease-causing agents could crowd on the period at the end of a sentence. In 1993 the University of Texas analyzed the results of 11 different studies that had tracked the effectiveness of condoms to prevent transmission of the AIDS virus. The average condom failure rate in the 11 studies for preventing transmission of the AIDS virus was 31%. One reason condoms fail in preventing the transfer of AIDS is that latex condoms have tiny intrinsic holes called “voids.” Sperm is larger than the holes, but the AIDS virus is 50 times smaller than these tiny holes which makes it easy for the virus to pass through [Source: Dr. C. M. Roland, editor of Rubber Chemistry and Technology]. To give you an idea of how easy it would be for the virus to pass through these holes, just imagine a ping pong ball going through a basketball hoop. prolife.com Condom Warnings — Beware!!! Doctors speak out about condom failures! Many leading health experts have warned against depending on condoms for protection against AIDS and other STDs. Here’s a sampling of their comments: “You just can’t tell people it’s all right to do whatever you want as long as you wear a condom. It (AIDS) is just too dangerous a disease to say that.” Quote from: Dr. Harold Jaffee, chief of epidemiology, National Centers for Disease Control “Simply put, condoms fail. And condoms fail at a rate unacceptable for me as a physician to endorse them as a strategy to be promoted as meaningful AIDS protection.” Quote from: Dr. Robert Renfield, chief of retro-viral research, Walter Reed Army Institute “Relying on condoms for ‘protection’ can mean lifelong disease, suffering, and even death for you or for someone you love.” Quote from: Dr. Andre Lafrance, Canadian physician and researcher “Saying that the use of condoms is ‘safe sex’ is in fact playing Russian roulette. A lot of people will die in this dangerous game.” Quote from: Dr. Teresa Crenshaw, member of the U.S. Presidential AIDS Commission and past president of the American Association of Sex Educators prolife.comThe best protection is not to do it. I understand that we as a nation are having a huge problem with health care and the debate is really only started. But honestly when you look at it, the real problem is the cost these doctors, hospitals and drug companies are charging for their services and products. how can one justify a $600.00 bill for 3 blood tests? or a $12,000.00 bill for a small kidney removal with one night stay? or a $60.00 bill for 10 anti viral pills? This is out of control. I would understand if the people working the labs made $200.00/hour or if the hospital room was on the last floor of the Excelsior Hotel or if the pills were made from rare white rhino tusk. But that is not the case. We are getting ripped off everyday, your insurance will only pay a fraction of it and if you have no insurance you HAVE to pay the full bill. If people cannot afford the lowest most simple plan out there what makes Obama think they can afford his? and to top it all he wants to "force" us to take it or he will fine us? What is this? Super Bacteria I am a little bit concern about antibiotic resistant bacteria for me and my family. It could very well wipe out the human race if we ever create a super bug that can adapt to our medicines. But at the same time if we don’t treat the farm animals, what would become of them? Do we have other solutions as far as treating the animals? After reading the article I felt like if we don’t treat the animals, we have a higher chance of getting sick ourselves. But if we do treat the animals, eventually antibiotic resistant bacteria will get us. It feels like a lose lose situation. “While the drug may cure the E. coli bacteria in the poultry, another kind of bacteria—Campylobacter—may build up resistance to these drugs.”(Bren, Feb. 2001) There are a number of ways we can help slow down the process of antibiotic resistant bacteria. We have contributed to the growing crisis by not taking antibiotics properly and, in many cases, insisting that our doctors prescribe antibiotics for viral infections, such as the flu, ear infections, and the common cold, even though antibiotics work only against bacterial infections. We use antibacterial product daily such as soap, wipes, disinfectants, and other cleaners which does not help the cause. The combination of drug misuse and poor hygiene has brought the problem of antibiotic resistance to a crisis. “Why are our miracle drugs failing us? One reason -- well documented -- is that we have used them too often, to treat infections and conditions that more often than not could be defeated by the body's immune system without medical intervention.” (Laxminarayan & Plotkin, 2003)how about Generation X&Y Microorganisms? moreVoting Question: Computer Virus, please help.?

I'm a little lost about Purell hand sanitizer. It says that it "kills 99.99% of germs that make you sick" but then when I read the section about whether or not it kills viruses, it says this: "We appreciate your concern. The FDA does not allow anti-viral claims on these types of products therefore, we cannot make any claims as to PURELL's effectiveness against viruses, such as colds, flu, SARS, HIV or Hepatitis." So if they can't make any claims to it killing any of those things, then what DOES it kill? That's like everything I would use a hand sanitizer to kill anyway lol. And yes, I do understand that you can't really "kill" a virus because it's not alive in the first place. A virus can, however, be disabled or destroyed. Hello, A zillion points for best answer. Well, ok...as many as Yahoo will allow, then. I need to choose between releasing a paperback self-help book or the same on a CD Audio Book. I cannot do both at this time, and I do not need it to be reviewed in the papers, etc. Having said that, since I must self-publish which format shall I use? The arguments FOR audio book are as follows: *Professionalism: I am able to afford professionally-produced audio CD's in shrink wrap. *Free publicity via pirates: When people pirate the audiobook it is FREE viral publicity. I actually WANT that, at first. *Marketing knowledge: Self-help users by and large appreciate ease of an audiobook as it integrates easily into their perceived lifestyle. *Affordability: I can purchase 5 retail-ready audio books for every one print book. *Convenience: Nothing is easier for busy adults than popping in a CD. *Promotion:I can afford to give away more audio books than I could print books. *Return on Investment: We can keep the price point LOW while gaining a strong ROI. *Rapid Expansion: Faster to create new CD products than to write new books. *Utility of Product: Easier in narrative format to use the visualization exercises. Basically I went to bed one night, a couple of weeks ago and woke up with my right eye quite sore, red and with a slight amount of discharge. I let it go for the day and It only got worse. Approx 4 days passed before I actually went to see an optometrist. She sent me to an eye specialist. He simply said it was a viral infection and sent me home with some drops which he assured me would clear the problem. T he drops which were FML drops have seemed to make it worse and the condition is now in both eyes. I have since been back to the eye specialists who thinks the condition has improved in the right eye but has progressed in the left eye. He said the condition in the left eye will get worse before it gets better. It feels like there is something "gritty" in the eye. Eyes constantly watering, vision has depreciated, constant cloudiness or blur in eye, very sensitive to light. It cant be an allergy because there has been no recent change in weather, no change to my shampoo, condition, moisturiser or other products. I have never had problems with my eyes at all. Swine Flu) virus?
May 1, 2009 In a press release yesterday, a cure for Swine Flu virus was announced, manufactured by a small, privately-held company in Arizona called GlycoMeds. The cure, marketed under the name "Cold Booster Plus" is a Glucosamine-based supplement, not a drug, and does not require a prescription, but is claimed to be more effective at treating Type A influenza than any of the other 4 licensed influenza drugs on the market: Amantadine ("Symmantrel"), Rimantadine ("Flumadine"), Oseltamivir ("Tamiflu"), and Zanamivir ("Relenza") See the press release here: http://www.emediawire.com/releases/2009/4/prweb2374054.htm In that this release was just yesterday, there may not have been sufficient time for the media to truly cover it such that we may be hearing more about it very quickly. But my question is whether this is really a "cure" or something less dramatic-sounding. The supplement "Cold Booster Plus" supposedly kills the Type A influenza virus in 12 hours or less, but does not directly treat the symptoms the way other traditional over-the-counter medications do (i.e. relieve your aching head, control your cough, etc.). But if it kills the virus, that's the main concern such that the body can automatically work on healing itself of the symptoms that originated from the viral infection. In light of how the media is all abuzz right now over the pontential "Swine Flu Pandemic", it would seem that a cure recently found would be getting major coverage. So is it just too soon right now? Or is this new treatment not the real "cure" that scientists are looking for? moreResolved Question: Did you hear that Swine flu has inspired a song....?
How creative is this?! i wonder if was done truly to make sense of the unknown...or merely for the marketing value...either ways, its interesting & nice to hear... Swine flu may be inspiring fear worldwide, but for Stephan Zielinski of San Francisco, California, it inspired a song. The virus has the classification H1N1 because it includes two key viral proteins, hemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N). Zielinski took the genetic sequence of a variant of hemagglutinin and created a computer algorithm to turn it into music. Zielinski, 41, is not a biochemist or a professional musician -- he's a writer, photographer, computer programmer, and blogger who creates music in his spare time. But he's fascinated that, even though biologists can map the genome of the virus and predict what the hemagglutinin protein looks like, the human body still cannot distinguish it as the "bad guy" -- at least, not until there's a vaccine. "Although the map is there and you can even make a song out of it, we can't explain it to these itty bitty little cells in body," he said. Using computer programs he created himself, as well as a commercial product, Zielinski composed his song by assigning instruments and musical notes to various properties of the protein. Zielinski took the various categories of amino acids, the building blocks of the protein, and assigned each a different instrument -- piano, organ, low synthesizer, percussion. The melody was created by assigning notes to specific amino acids. Each beat of the song also corresponds to one of numerous amino acids. The work was done entirely with a computer and took about six hours Tuesday, he said. He first learned of the sequence through an immunologist friend at the Mayo Clinic, he said. Zielinski saw it as a form of highly organized information that a human did not design. "The only way I could look at that and make sense of it, since I'm not a biochemist, was, well, I could try translating it into another very organized form of information that people do, and then see if I could hear anything. And the answer, of course, turned out to be no." But even if the mystery of the virus did not reveal itself in musical form, the result is a curiously melodic, innovative, somewhat soothing work. Dr. Jay Steinberg, infectious disease specialist at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia, called it "nice ambient music" that's reminiscent of Brian Eno. moreResolved Question: Another serious health warning, or another scare tactic aimed at parents...?
A health watchdog has warned that children under 16 should not be given a popular brand of mouth pain treatment. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) issued an alert on oral pain relief gels which contain salicylate salts, including Bonjela and Bonjela Cool mint gel. The salts have the same effect on the body as aspirin, which is not recommended for those under the age of 16. There are concerns that young children could develop Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious condition which leads to serious liver and brain damage. It is thought a previous viral infection, such as flu or chickenpox, and exposure to aspirin could trigger the illness. However. no cases have yet been reported in connection with Bonjela. Bonjela Teething Gel for young children contains a different formula to the adult varieties and is unaffected. Bonjela is designed to relieve the pain and swelling caused by mouth ulcers, denture sores and brace sores. A statement from the MHRA said: "This is a precautionary measure only and there are no new safety concerns." As of April 16 this year, three suspected serious adverse drug reaction reports were received by the MHRA in association with the use of oral gels containing choline salicylate, including Bonjela. All three cases were in children and all ended up in hospital. However, Reye's syndrome was not confirmed in any child. The MHRA also received another four reports of vomiting or diarrhoea in children following the use of Bonjela, three of which related to the child being given the gel for teething pain. All the children made a full recovery. A statement from manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser said Bonjela and Bonjela Cool would now be clearly labelled Adults and Children over 16 and that the packaging for Bonjela Teething Gel has also been changed. The statement added: "There have been no confirmed cases of Reye's Syndrome associated with Bonjela or Bonjela Cool, which remain safe and effective treatments for adults and children 16 years and over. "Reckitt Benckiser's Bonjela brand... is the UK's number-one-selling pain-relieving gel for mouth sores and has sold over 62 million packs in the last 40 years in the UK." http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Bonjela-Warning-Watchdog-Says-Under-16s-Should-Not-Use-Mouth-Pain-Treatment/Article/200904415267495?lpos=UK_News_Top_Stories_Header_2&lid=ARTICLE_15267495_Bonjela_Warning%3A_Watchdog_Says_Under-16s_Should_Not_Use_Mouth_Pain_Treatment Your views please! moreResolved Question: THE VIRUS IS GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!!!?

HERES WAT THE VIRUS DOES.. to overwhelm and shut down Web sites or monitor a person's keyboard strokes to collect private information like passwords or bank account information, experts said. More likely, though, said DeBolt, the virus may try to get computer users to buy fake software or spend money on other phony products. Experts said computer hackers largely have moved away from showboating and causing random trouble. They now usually try to make money off their viral programs. DeBolt said Conficker C imbeds itself deep in the computer where it is difficult to track. For those of you who don't know, phlegm is nasty gunky stuff between your throat and your chest and it makes you sick a lot. It also is part of a viral infection that could give you a headache, stomachache and make you very ill. I've had this infection since last summer and it STILL hasn't gone away. It's taking ages and I don't know what else to cure it. I can't sing very well because my throat feels clogged up and if I try to sing high I splutter and cough and that does no good. I've been to the doctor's and got a breathe meter, nasal spray, medicine tablets and they haven't helped all that much. The tables helped a bit. Herpes treatment with peroxide is also known as herpes oxygenation that if applied to the surface of the skin it is believed to kill the virus. Once the herpes virus is exposed to increased oxygenation, the virus dies. To achieve this, you have to sufficiently oxygenize the body. There are many ways to do herpes treatments with peroxide such as topical applications of H2O2 with DMSO which is good enough completely kill the virus, oral H2O2 and DMSO; (IV) intravenous H2O2, ozone and DMSO; ozone insufflations; hyperbaric oxygen, and combinations thereof. It is believed that a cure for herpes and other viral infections lies in oxygenation of the body. Hydrogen peroxide must be present for our immune systems to fight infection because hydrogen peroxide acts as a first line of defense against harmful radicals, bacteria and particularly viruses. The Many Benefits of Hydrogen Peroxide By Dr. David G. Williams http://educate-yourself.org/cancer/benefitsofhydrogenperozide17jul03.shtml Posted July 17, 2003 (Original title: Hydrogen Peroxide - Curse or Cure?) When it comes to hydrogen peroxide therapy there seems to be only two points of view. Supporters consider it one of the greatest healing miracles of all time. Those opposed feel its ingestion is exceptionally dangerous, and only the foolhardy could think of engaging in such behavior. Before either condemning or endorsing hydrogen peroxide, let's take a real close look at what we're dealing with. If any substance is interesting, it's hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide should really be called hydrogen dioxide. Its chemical formula is H2O2. It contains one more atom of oxygen that does water (H20). By now everyone's aware of the ozone layer that surrounds the earth. Ozone consists of three atoms of oxygen (03). This protective layer of ozone is created when ultraviolet light from the sun splits an atmospheric oxygen molecule (02) into two single, unstable oxygen atoms. These single molecules combine with others to form ozone (03). Ozone isn't very stable. In fact, it will quickly give up that extra atom of oxygen to falling rainwater to form hydrogen peroxide (H202). (Bear with me: all this chemistry mumbo jumbo I'm going through actually will help you understand the importance of hydrogen peroxide.) Helps Plants It is this hydrogen peroxide in rainwater that makes it so much more effective than tap water when given to plants. With the increased levels of atmospheric pollution, however, greater amounts of H202 react with air-borne toxins and never reach the ground. To compensate for this, many farmers have been increasing crop yields by spraying them with diluted hydrogen peroxide (5 to 16 ounces of 35% mixed with 20 gallons of water per acre). You can achieve the same beneficial effect with your house plants by adding 1 ounce of 3% hydrogen peroxide (or 16 drops of 35% solution) to every quart of water you give your plants. (It can also be made into an excellent safe insecticide. Simply spray your plants with 8 ounces of 3% peroxide mixed with 8 ounces of white sugar and one gallon of water.) Hydrogen peroxide is odorless and colorless, but not tasteless. When stored under the proper conditions, it is a very stable compound. When kept in the absence of light and contaminants, it dismutates (breaks down) very slowly at the rate of about 10% a year. (This can be slowed even further by storing the liquid in the freezer.) It boils at 152 degrees C and freezes at minus 2 degrees C. When exposed to other compounds hydrogen peroxide dismutates readily. The extra oxygen atom is released leaving H20 (water). In nature oxygen (02) consists of two atoms--a very stable combination. A single atom of oxygen, however, is very reactive and is referred to as a free radical. Over the past several years, we've continually read that these free radicals are responsible for all types of ailments and even premature aging. What many writers seem to forget, however, is that our bodies create and use free radicals to destroy harmful bacteria, viruses, and fungi. In fact, the cells responsible for fighting infection and foreign invaders in the body (your white blood cells) make hydrogen peroxide and use it to oxidize any offending culprits. The intense bubbling you see when hydrogen peroxide comes in contact with a bacteria-laden cut or wound is the oxygen being released and bacteria being destroyed. The ability of our cells to produce hydrogen peroxide is essential for life. H202 is not some undesirable by-product or toxin, but instead a basic requirement for good health. Newer research indicates we need hydrogen peroxide for a multitude of other chemical reactions that take place throughout the body. For example, we now know that vitamin C helps fight infections by producing hydrogen peroxide, which in turn stimulates the production of prostaglandins. Also lactobacillus found in the colon and vagina produce hydrogen peroxide. This destroys harmful moreResolved Question: How do you get into viral marketing for products?

Its a device that produces ozone O3, and you can drink it, clean your house with it, eliminate every smell on the fridge, and clean also vegetables , meat and fish. But for the human body i heard it is very good and keeps you healthy. I just got my device today and i start drinking it, and i like the taste. I was google searching about ozone for even more info and treatments for diseases, and i found this: " Ozone is a medical treatment Ozone within the body has powerful antibacterial, anti-viral, and anti-tumor benefits with very few side effects. Ozone adds oxygen to the body Ozone has been used successfully in medicine since the 1800’s Precisely made medical grade ozone is used therapeutically How does ozone work in the body? Ozone acts in the body in two ways: by oxidation and oxygenation. When ozone (O3) is administered to the body, its third unstable oxygen atom readily attaches itself to bacteria, fungi, mold, parasites, and tumors, and in the process of doing this, it oxidizes or destroys them. This is oxidation. It then reverts to O2, which adds much needed oxygen to the body. This is oxygenation. This oxygen has a high PH of between 7 and 9 needed to balance an unhealthy body. These pathogens are lower life organisms and are mostly anaerobic; that is, they cannot survive in an oxygen/ozone rich environment. Ozone within the body has powerful antibacterial, anti-viral, and anti-tumor benefits with very few side effects. History of medical ozone. 1840 (Germany): Ozone was first discovered by Christian Friedrich Schonbein. 1857 (Germany): First ozone generator constructed by Werner von Siemens and successfully used against pathogenic germs in animals and humans. 1900 (Germany): First ozone treatment plant was constructed after a severe cholera epidemic in Hamburg killed thirty thousand people. 1915 (Germany): Ozone used extensively during WWI for battle wounds 1943 (U.S.A.): Medical-grade ozone was learned about from a German POW scientist during WWII by pediatrician, Dr. Robert Mayer. He used ozone safely and effectively on over 12,000 people throughout his 45 year medical career. 1979 (U.S.A.): Medical-grade ozone first used on AIDS by Dr. George Freibott. 1983 (U.S.A.): Medical-grade ozone being used successfully to treat over 33 major diseases including AIDS, cancer, herpes, hepatitis, and mononucleosis as reported in the 6th World Ozone Congress proceedings in Washing-ton, DC. 1986 (U.S.A.): "Ozone Decontamination of Blood and Blood Products", Patent No. 4,632,980 granted to Medizone. Medizone states that HIV and other diseases can be eliminated in stored blood by their application of ozone and even though it has been used medically on humans for over 100 years in the U.S. and in Germany, FDA did not approve human testing. 1987 (Germany): Medical-grade ozone used successfully on 3 AIDS patients (Stage 8 to Stage 1) by Dr. Horst Kief, using major autohemotherapy treatments with virtually no side effects. 1987 (Germany): "The Use of Ozone in Medicine", a book published by Karl F. Haug lists 225 ozone medical references and over 48 diseases commonly treated with ozone Today some 10,000 physicians routinely use ozone therapy in their practices with the majority practicing in Germany. Germany is one country that teaches ozone therapy in their medical schools. Some of the most exciting research in ozone therapy is taking place in two unlikely countries: Russia and Cuba. As citizens of both countries have had socialized medicine for decades, private drug manufacturers have traditionally played a small or nonexistent role in determining the direction of the health care system. In countries like the United States where large drug companies are directly involved in all medical research and lobby to influence government policy, there is no interest in researching the possibilities of ozone therapy. Medical-grade ozone. Medical-grade ozone is produced by passing 100 percent pure oxygen across either an ultraviolet light source or an electrical arc. In these reactions, only a small percentage of oxygen (from 1 to 5 percent) is converted to ozone for medical use. Oxygen is then passed through a tube to the ozone generator where exactly defined percentages of ozone and oxygen are mixed. It then passes through a second tube to the user. Ozone is administered by intravenous drip, injections, rectal and vaginal applications, and topical applications. " now, my personal opinion, is that chemicals and naturals should be used by the humans in a balanced way to treat diseases. I mean, to use drugs to cure or treat a health problem it is ok, but today we use antibiotics to treat a common cold! I only used once antibiotics in my life for my throat and did nothing, for common cold or a virus, i was always drink a lot of tea and eating many fruits, and i was healthy again in no time. Do you think that the today's system want us to be grug addicts? ple more
