Open Question: Agree or Disagree: Obama's election was the result of false advertising?
Meaning do you think the Obama that was marketed to the American public in 2008 is the same Obama pursuing all his current policies. Here's a short list of flip flops: 1. Obama promised to have healthcare negotiations on C-SPAN......(obviously these negotiations are taking place behind closed doors.........hence the vote buying etc.) To be fair: cameras were allowed to film for a whopping ONE HOUR. http://www.breitbart.tv/c-span-ceo-white-house-has-allowed-only-one-hour-of-health-care-coverage/ 2. Obama campaigned AGAINST a federal mandate for individuals to buy private insurance.........(he now supports it........hmmmm) "I mean, if a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house. The reason they don’t buy a house is they don’t have the money. " -Candidate Barack Obama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoSnqofelsQ 3. Obama campaigned AGAINST taxing "cadillac plans"...........(he now supports it) "John McCain calls these plans “Cadillac plans.” Now in some cases, it may be that a corporate CEO is getting too good a deal. But what if you’re a line worker making a good American car like the Cadillac? What if you’re one of the steelworkers who are working right here in Newport News, and you’ve given up wage increases in exchange for a better health care" -Candidate Barack Obama http://firedoglake.com/2010/01/07/cadillac-flip-flop-obama-was-against-health-plan-tax-before-he-was-for-it/ moreOpen Question: Will republicans be pissed when democrat corporate advertisement completely drowns the republicans sponsors?

Thursday's decision to strike down restrictions on corporate campaign spending is actually good news for Democrats and bad News for Republicans. The Supreme Court has handed a new weapon to lobbyists. If you vote wrong, a lobbyist can now tell any elected official that my company, labor union or interest group will spend unlimited sums explicitly advertising against your re-election. “We have got a million we can spend advertising for you or against you — whichever one you want,’ ” a lobbyist can tell lawmakers, said Lawrence M. Noble, a lawyer at Skadden Arps in Washington and former general counsel of the Federal Election Commission. "Remember their names: Alito, Kennedy, Roberts, Scalia, and Thomas. Yesterday, from within the dark isolation of the Supreme Court, these five men pulled off a black-robed coup against the American people's democratic authority. In an unprecedented perversion of judicial power, this court cabal has decreed that corporations have a free-speech "right" to dip into their corporate coffers and spend unlimited sums of money to elect or defeat candidates of their choosing. Corporate interests already had too much money power over our political system. No other group in America comes anywhere near the spending clout that this relatively small clutch of wealthy special interests wields over our elections and government. So it's ludicrous for anyone – much less Supreme Court judges – to argue that the corporate voice is a victim of political "censorship." This is not merely judicial activism, it is judicial radicalism. Thomas Jefferson warned about the dangerous rise of corporate power, declaring that must "crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations." Today, I'm sure that founding patriots like Jefferson are not simply spinning in their graves at the Supreme Court's surrender to this aristocracy – they're trying to claw their way out of their graves to throttle all five of the traitors." I've dreamt about this just about every day for 6 years--that's about 25% of my life already. I want to be the first founder of a performing arts high school in my country. I actually write down details about what the school would look like, what the school's philosophy would be like, the school's corporate identity and culture, what kind of teachers will be teaching there, what kind of students will it attract, what alumni and ex students will grow to become, what facilities will be available, side enterprises it will give students and teachers the opportunity to participate in, and other businesses (the media, scholarship bodies, tertiary education institutes, theatre and dance companies, record labels, production houses, NGOs, the government...) Now, the past 6 years of my life had also been a tough one... unwise choices concerning my study (mostly due to ignorance and lack of guidance), disappointment, studies fell apart, separated from parents by the continent since my mid teens only to return home in my early twenties totally failing my plans, and nervous breakdown. However, since my decision to restart college at 22, my studies have seen success, and so have my emotional health and stability. I'm now a junior (third year) student of a bachelor's degree in Performing Arts Communication--not at a Conservatoire but at a Public Relations school. It's a new program so we get to be the guinea pigs for raw communication management classes copied from its PR and Mass Communication majors, supplemented by singing, acting, directing, and production classes. However, this campus has not adequately taught us the value of the longsuffering, painstaking mentality that's required of professional performers, nor has it equipped us with the proper theory and techniques. So yes, I can sing a bit, act a bit, direct a bit, and all that, but am by no means qualified to practice performing arts professionally. The reason why I chose this college was because it was close to home, promised to dig deeper into disciplines I learnt from my previous majors (business, advertising, politics & culture, philosophy) from a performing arts perspective, seemed gave me a second chance to try my potential in a field I had to give up in high school due to circumstances, and was the perfect opportunity to heal myself from the nervous breakdown by proving that I can study something for four years successfully. But obviously my second and third expectations from the list above has been somewhat disappointed. I didn't study Education per se, because being the teacher is not my goal. However, now that this dream is maturing, I'm more open to the possibility of going into it. But with so many specialisations in the Education field, which one should I take? My goal is to raise the capital, design the curriculum, define the corporate identity and culture, devise the business plan, and train qualified performing arts (and other) teachers to educate adolescents in our values. That's why I studied all the other things before (although they were arguably ill-advised choices that didn't lead me any closer to this dream). And of course, once I graduate from here, I plan to practice performing arts (singing and acting) by joining a good quality theatre company (truly professional ones don't exist in my country as none have been successful in raising profits on their own, so that means I'll still need a day job in addition to this). I currently work translating mining feasibility studies into English--which I like, do well in, and earn good money from--but that's because I have bills to pay now... not that I intend to spend all my life making this into my career. Alright, so that's my situation. Any advice from people who have been involved in the founding and running of a successful school? If I should study again after getting my bachelor's degree in "Performing Arts Communication", what should I study, and where? What jobs should I look into, which I might qualify for and will be useful in preparing me to eventually action the establishment of the school? What kind of friends should I have around me, and what kind of mentors should I seek? (I live in the industrialised capital of a developing Southeast Asian country. In the past I have aimed at TV broadcasting and copywriting for brand development/advertising as fields to start working in.) Thank you! moreVoting Question: Scientific Experimentation and Audio Architecture?
DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT ANY ONE OF THE PARTIES INVOLVED, NOR DO I REPRESENT EITHER OF THEM. I HAVE NO FINANCIAL OR LEGAL STAKE IN THIS MATTER. THIS IS SIMPLY A QUESTION, AND ONLY A QUESTION. NO OTHER INFORMATION SHOULD BE INFERRED. As you may know, Muzak, based in South Carolina, employs audio engineers which Muzak calls "Audio Architects". To my understanding, the Audio Architect (other companies have them, too) designs the music parameters for the store. In other words, the Audio Architect meets with the owner or store manager to consult with them on how the store can best use music to optimize the store's branding and themes, to increase sales and ultimately increase the store's profits. So, the Audio Architect determines the type of music (let's say, 90's pop-rock), the volume (let's say, 70 decibels), the musical parameters (let's say, high bass and low treble, low reverb, and many sound speaker locations, etc, etc, etc). Maybe he might even recommend adding a TV screen showing rock videos in the middle section of the store. OK. So here's my thought. Let's say a clothing store hires a Muzak Audio Architect to determine how they can maximize their revenue. The Audio Architect picks a bunch of parameters, and suggests ways to achieve better branding and make customers want to buy more, to increase the store's revenue. And let's say the Audio Architect doesn't make any guarantees. Result: The store gains 1.55 per cent in sales for the year, over the previous year. This is a 1.55 percent gain in a rough economy. But the store owner decides, "Looking at everything as a whole, and seeing the whole picture, this was probably a bad idea." So he gives the Muzak Audio Architect a call. They meet, and the Audio Architect replies, "You're wrong. Our company has proven results, and I have an excellent track record of proven sales increases and boosting profits." The clothing store owner relents, and they decide on slighty different parameters for all the music, speaker locations, reverb, loudness, etc, etc. The following year, the store only makes an 0.42 per cent gain in sales. So the clothing store owner decides, "Each year, my decision was a bad idea. With the market parameters, and our improved clothing quality, and our better shipping company, and our better and more professional clothing salespeople, we should have made at least 5 or 6 per cent profit each of those years." The Muzak Audio Architect replies, "You're wrong. We wrote the book on music-branding and audio architecture. Our system is failsafe." The clothing store owner says, "Yeah? Then why didn't our sales increase to 5 or 6 per cent?" Muzak Audio Architect replies, "I don't know, but our company statistics don't lie. Ours is a proven formula. And, we didn't guarantee you 5 percent anyway. In fact, we didn't guarantee 0.1 per cent. Maybe you made bad decisions on your shipping company, or your maintenance crew, or your returns policy. Say what you want, but you can never prove us wrong." So here's my question: is the Muzak Audio Architect correct? Is Muzak Audio Architecture a failsafe system? Can the Muzak Company back up their results with sophisticated scientific statistical-based studies? Please don't give an answer such as, "You've got to be kidding, man. Muzak has proven results, or companies all over the world wouldn't hire them. Muzak has testimonials from customers all over the world." OK, I agree that they have positive testimonials. But what do we say about negative testimonials? Is Muzak a failsafe system? How can we know that their statisticians are correct? Thank you for your answers = ) Perhaps you are an advertising professional? a statistician? a corporate branding firm? an expert in musicology? What say you? Thank you =)My purpose is to determine whether Muzak's verifiability is unfalsifiable. This case study, as I understand it, indeed provides experimental evidence. It was (is) an experiment in itself. In other words, the store owner experimented with Muzak's "formula", so to speak, and ultimately became skeptical. Consider the following truth. I asked a famous consultant to the entertainment industry, "There are retail stores that have a strict silence policy at all times. No Muzak, no Sirius Satellite, no TruSonic, no DMX, and no boom-boxes. And if you look at their in-store sales and revenue, they have done outstanding and are incredibly successful." He replied, "But you can't prove that they wouldn't have performed *even better* if they piped loud music into their stores." So I'm thinking, "Two can play that game! You can't prove that they *would* have done better with any broadcast piped-in music!" So we have an impasse here. What are your thoughts? Can either view be proven??? moreResolved Question: Anybody else having any trouble with the recent supreme court ruling?
Without any financial restrictions, it would appear that a corporation (or any other well funded agency) could now conceivably buy up all or most of the air space available to advertise their political candidate. Just a few such examples of monumental funding would seem to send a rather ominous message to other candidates not in line with corporate interests. This seems like a convoluted waste of money. Perhaps we should just knock out the middle man, and have corporation do the voting during an election.Kyle- I do not hate corporations. They are essential, but they are not guided by a desire to do the "right thing". There goal (as it is should be) is simply to make a profit. I would have the same objection to a billionaire who would have to power to drown out everybody elses "free speech".Splitter- I disagree, I don't believe corporations are made up of people. Why are conservatives claiming the decision somehow "levels the playing field" for corporations? As though corporations weren't already inordinately and massively influencing the political process. And because, you know, before this decision, corporations were just being totally oppressed by all the rest of us $30,000-a-year individuals, while we're being constantly, inescapably inundated with corporate "free speech" (i.e., advertising) from all sides on a daily basis. I can't even take a p*ss in a bar bathroom without staring at corporate "free speech." How are conservatives making the corporations out to be the little guy here? Are people orbiting Mars? Not even unions have the kind of cash and assets that corporations have to dump on campaign propaganda. They're in different worlds. moreVoting Question: Are conservative Supreme Court justices now "activist judges" by overruling 100 years of precedent?
I thought this summed it up pretty well... What do you think.....are the conservative justices guilty of being "activist" judges in this case?? http://www.politico.com/arena/bio/david_mark.html J. Gerald Hebert, Campaign Legal Center Executive Director Today's decision from the Supreme Court is an extreme example of judicial overreach that arbitrarily overturns decades of precedent and undercuts the powers of the legislative branch. What the Supreme Court majority did today was empower corporations to use their enormous wealth and urge the election or defeat of federal candidates, and in doing so, buy even more power over the legislative process and government decision making. As a result of this decision, for profit corporations and industries will be able to threaten members of Congress with negative ads if they vote against corporate interests, and to spend tens of millions on campaign ads to "punish" those who do not knuckle under to their lobbying threats. More than a century's worth of federal and state policy restricting corporate campaign activity in federal elections has been undermined by the Court today, to say nothing of the longstanding precedent upholding those laws against myriad challenges. Most irresponsibly, the narrow Court majority chose to take this radical step without even the benefit of a record from the lower courts, and in a case where there were several opportunities to decide the issues without over-turning Acts of Congress. This case has all the hallmarks of the very judicial activism that conservatives usually criticize. Lacking an even vaguely authoritative set of facts in the case, the Court chose to act not upon relevant facts in a fully developed record, but rather based on its gut instinct in a gesture of disturbing condescension toward Congress and the American people. In this case five Justices have decided to assume the role of legislators, and to actively reach out to decide matters better left to the expertise of Congress. http://www.campaignlegalcenter.org/about.html The Campaign Legal Center is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization which works in the areas of campaign finance and elections, political communication and government ethics. For years corporations have sponsored high school sports. Their ads are found on the outfield fence at baseball parks or on the walls of the gymnasium, the football stadium, or even the locker room. Corporate logos are even found on players’ uniforms. But some schools have moved beyond corporate sponsorship of sports to allowing “corporate partners” to place their names and ads on all kinds of school facilities—libraries, music rooms, cafeterias. Some schools accept money to require students to watch Channel One, a news program that includes advertising. And schools often negotiate exclusive contracts with soft drink or clothing companies. Some people argue that corporate partnerships are a necessity for cash-strapped schools. Others argue that schools should provide an environment free from ads and corporate influence. The office train store did this to me and I think corporate intentionally sends just 2 or 3 of the items so they can avoid it being literal false advertising but they are certainly playing a game to get people into the store. There must be a name for this practice. moreResolved Question: Which job offer should I take?
I have two job offers to choose from currently and am having problems choosing. Here are the details of the two: Job "A" - Working for a well established non-profit sports organization where I will be responsible for digital designing; Small department of 5 people; starting salary $70k+/year paid bi-weekly; career advancement within is minimal; Travel required roughly twice a year; decent medical benefits; 45 minute driving commute; job tasks encompass something that I have been doing for close to 15 years but have not done primarily for close to 2 years. Job "B" - Working for a start-up corporate company where I will be responsible for implementation of digital product; Will be 3rd person in this department; Starting salary $55k+/year paid monthly; career advancement potential internally is immense; No travel required; unknown medical benefits; 45 minute commute to work using mass transit; job tasks encompass something similar to what I did at last job and overall I have roughly 2 1/2 years total professional experience; Immediate peer and manager are good friends and are the ones who got me the job; Opportunity to manage entire department possible within 12 - 18 months. I would be interested in hearing peoples thoughts on which one I should accept. I know one pays more than the other immediately, but the potential to earn much more income in the future is great with the lower paying job. I have been doing web/graphic design and development for close to 15 years and have had many jobs in this area and relates to Job "A". My last job was in the digital advertising sector and is the same sector as Job "B". I guess the bottom line is do I go for more money immediately but unknown compensation growth rate in the future or do I go with less money immediately but the possibility to increase my salary greatly is likely within 18 months. moreResolved Question: how do i build up to the executive level?

When you take the praxis ll english: Content knowledge, you'll realize that the test has been advertised as $80 but includes a $50 registration fee as well making it $135 dollars. I'm so sick of ETS, I also took the GRE using study guides from kaplan and princeton review which are misleading and uneffective. The praxis ll study guides for english are worthless because the actual test is based on reading comprehension. ETS is a scam but what can we as students and prospective teachers do about it? moreResolved Question: Should all Politicians have to wear patches of corporate logo's identifying their campaign donors/contributors?
Kind of like Nascar... The more money donated to a Senator, Representative, President, etc.. then the bigger the patch... but it wouldn't just be advertising, it would also be for clarification, and better understanding of what they support, oppose and promote. moreResolved Question: Democrats/liberals why don't you want free market capitalism and what do you want instead?
Heavily regulated capitalism as we have now is easy for corporations to manipulate by bribing politicians to make regulations that favor their corporation and keep competition away. It's called corporate welfare, in my opinion without government involved it would disappear, allow more choice, cheaper prices, and promote innovation. Obviously enforcing contracts and rules against false advertising are needed still but I wouldn't call what we have today a free market. As further proof that corporations and bankers don't want free markets they didn't give a penny to the only free market candidate in the last election, Ron Paul. So to those free market bashers out there why do you want more rules that the corporations will benefit from? I don't like monopolies. moreVoting Question: Advertising on Campus??
Why should corporate companies not be allowed to advertise on university campuses? I need to write a paper...so ideas? moreResolved Question: Are you offended when someone says Merry Christmas, as opposed to Happy Holidays?
In recent decades, it has been noticed that public, corporate, and government mention of the term "Christmas" has declined and been replaced with a generic term— usually "holiday" or "winter"— and that popular non-religious aspects of Christmas. Evidently the American Family Association is calling for a boycott on Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic stores because they have chosen to use "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" on some of their advertising. I celebrate Christmas and will say "Merry Christmas" to people...but what is so horribly wrong about "Happy Holidays" that people would choose to boycott companies using it? Do you say "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" and what reasoning do you use? Or do you think the entire debate about it is ridiculous? moreResolved Question: Why do salespeople of retailers LIE to you about their black friday deals not in stock?
Best Buy advertised a gateway laptop for $429, which had 17 inch screen, 6 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive along with 2,8 Ghz processor. The package also included a laptop bag along with wireless mouse. It included 6 month free Kaspersky antivirus too. So I went to the best buy near my house asking a salesperson that I would like to buy that deal. He said, let me check it. Few minutes later he said, it is out of stock and that no raincheck. He then said he would recommend a better laptop for $950 which is in stock. I asked him that how the laptop can be out of stock when the deal just started today and I entered the store just when it opened. He said, "there was only 3 in store" and they get sold. I got bit angry and demanded to speak with manager. He said manager is at break, but i said i won't leave till manager is back. Then the manager tell me too, "its out of stock". I told them to give me their full name so i will follow up with best buy corporate office later and that they give it to me in writing with signature that as of 9:15 am they were out of stock. Then the salesperson said, "actually we do have it in stock. it was just some confusion". And i got the package deal which was advertised. My question is why do they lie it is not in stock, when actually it is? Do they hold it for their friends or themselves? I'm very disgusted at this experience. moreResolved Question: As an ENTJ personality type, would I be unsuitable in an art based career?
I'm completely an ENTJ person, pretty much every assumption fits me, although I do think I'm in touch with other people's feelings. Anyways, I think I want to go into commercial/advertising art, but ENTJ's aren't usually the "creative type" although I am a bit. The careers suggested are things like CEOs, managers, lawyers etc. Of course, I'd like to move my way up the corporate ladder into a position like creative director, but does this seem like the wrong path for my personality? Thanks! I appreciate any insight or opinions :) moreResolved Question: two questions about Mcdonalds & poor food choises! please help and tell me what you think!?
Are kids ''setup'' to make poor food choises? Explain. Who is to blame for americas obesity epidemic? Is it bad parenting.? Poor education? Corporate Advertising? Explain. moreResolved Question: migrating after marriage... what are our options?
My boyfriend and I in our midtwenties and planning to marry in about 2 years time. We live in Jakarta, Indonesia. Because of the pollution here, I've been having health problems. I've lived in medium-sized major cities in the US, Australia, and Europe, and have always been a healthy girl. But since living in Jakarta I've been suffering frequent colds, perpetual headaches, and very low stamina, especially on and around my period. It may be anemia but I haven't checked because I don't really trust the doctors here. My boyfriend--a young lawyer by profession--has been a globetrotter like me, and has expressed interest in living elsewhere, although we haven't really started any serious planning. He was born in Switzerland, but as the son of an Indonesian embassy employee dual citizenship was prohibited so his ID card states Jakarta as his birthplace instead of Geneva. He graduated both his bachelors and masters in law from The Netherlands, whose laws are the basis of Indonesian law. Likewise, Dutch law is concordant with French law and the law of other countries based on Ancient Roman law. He specialises in corporate and business law, and has worked in Holland as well as Indonesia. I have a Canadian permanent residence, which my family and I have earned through legal procedures that started when I was still a minor. I have never lived there. My parents and I visited Canada in 2007 to activate the permit (I was 22), but we are required to reenter in 5 years time ie 2012 (I will be 27). In 2011 I expect to graduate with a bachelors in performing arts communication and in 2012 a masters in journalism or broadcasting. Over the past 3 years I have worked on and off as translator/interpreter, master of ceremony (hosting small concerts and seminars), and hosting a radio talk show. Recently I've decided to cross over to brand management/advertising as a copywriter, hoping that it would land me a fun but challenging job supporting quirky creative professionals like graphic designers, professional photographers, product developers, and others in charge of advertising/brand development campaigns. I plan to join campus clubs to start my portfolio and hope that it would land me with internships or projects elsewhere so I would at least have some experience by the time I migrate. In the future I'd prefer to work on a freelance basis, in case my would-be-husband might get transferred frequently, plus I would like my time to be relatively flexible so we can raise a family. OK, so in short my boyfriend has ties with Europe and I have ties with Canada. Once married, we want to migrate together somewhere (not necessarily Canada or Switzerland although those are the more obvious options for now). I do NOT prefer EU countries, although I'm not totally against it either. We need to prepare how we're going to live overseas and still be able to thrive in our professions. The way I have seen others do this is by joining a multinational company that happens to have an office in Jakarta, then climb the corporate ladder to get transferred elsewhere... how would this work out for a lawyer? (I'm more concerned about him having the fixed job, as I expect to work more as an independent professional in the future) Where can we find more information to explore our options so we can start preparing ahead of time? Companies to work for? International professional associations to join? Policies concerning spouses of Canadian permanent residents or the possibility of an adult born in Switzerland to request citizenship/permanent residency? Policies of other countries? Cities with significantly better air quality than Jakarta? Thanks :) moreResolved Question: Shouldn't I have heard an advertisement by now?
Before my ex broke up with me, his father was to open a franchise about now. He was putting his son in charge of advertising and marketing. (In my opinion a poor choice considering the guy doesn't have a degree, can't keep his car clean and went without toilet paper for a week - but I digress) They were slated to open about now. I checked the corporate website and their location is listed. However, I am from the same area and have not heard any advertisements or simple business announcements (free) in the local paper. Anyone have any ideas as to the reasons? Thanks moreResolved Question: What am I feeling? What do I do?
I'm a girl who really thinks I have it all. I'm pretty and cute and well loved. I have a wonderful, loving, smart and sexy husband who's also my best friend, the only one I need in the world! A great family. A flexible and fun job and I make enough money. And I'm 26, enjoying womanhood. A few months back I entered into a contract with a corporate to provide advertising consultancy services. The top boss there was a great guy ( about 42) and within a month of realizing that I was overperforming, doubled my fee and took a special interest in working with me to meet the company's goals. I have a huge amount of respect for him and am very fond of him and quite fiercely loyal to him. However, recently, I've started fantasising about him sometimes...from just being great friends, to mildly sexual. When we interact, our conversations are very profound and though he's naturally fatherly, we have a mild chemistry, though with lines firmly drawn and restated at appropriate times. I've had crushes on men in positions of power before and it has fizzled out and I'm sure this will too. But I really think I want to be friends with this guy, especially once my contract with the company is over. How do I let him know. He gives me the same signals, very subtly. But at that senior level, can you trust anyone? I recently discovered on facebook that he is single...and sometimes I do feel that he tries hard to impress me. moreResolved Question: OK, This is complicated!?

lets take a look at this objectively, and from a probability standpoint. There are 5 major parties that are in the US: democrat republican constitution green libertarian There are in fact many more, smaller parties than these, but that is the main 5. Now, from a stance of probability, how likely do you think it is that almost 99% of Americans best associate with two of them? According to the 2008 presidential election, this is the case. In a case with no other variables, you would expect it to be around 20% for all the parties. So the question is, why are the other parties shunned? The answer, of course, is money. Two parties get more money than the others, which allows them to extensively campaign, advertise, etc which the other parties cannot. So, who do they get this money from? special interest groups. not exactly a secret here. Which raises another question- why would these groups give a candidate money? well, simply enough, these groups want to have sway in the candidate's policies. which means that the candidate cannot fulfill their campaign promises, which were based on their personal values, not the special interest groups' interests. we all know this, we all see this. Obama as well as McCain had more than their share of corporate money. Which influences policy. So my question is, with corruption apparent, why would we still vote for the two most corrupt parties in our system?that argument has a couple fatal flaws: first off, unlike the democrats and republicans, the other parties have not had the CHANCE to deliver, so by default, they do not. Even for someone in a labor union, what would be better for the country- a president who does what he thinks is best for the country or a president who does what special interests groups think is best for them?so you are telling me that this "coalition" has all of the views combined into one? this seems a bit nonsensical to me, based on the fact that there is a reason there are denominations in the first place. denominations imply that they do not agree with everything, thus making it very possible that the coalition does not serve one or more denominations' best interests, therefore making it possible for them to align with third parties. even if this is a rare occurrence, i should think that it would happen enough between democrats and republicans to give more than a 1% popular vote to all of the third parties combined. not to mention the people who are not part of those denominations that support the third parties. seems a bit unlikely to me that it is just because of a coalition. moreResolved Question: Is janice dickinson modeling agency legit?
i got a job offer from this place and trying to make sure its not a scam. heres the email i got.. Hello am SCOTT WILLIAMS. I am emailing you regarding the latest season of JDMA, Janice really gets down to business. In an effort to develop her models and prepare them for this next level Janice insists that the models live together in a "model house"- just like she had to do back-in-the-day. Much to the model's surprise, Janice announces that she will live in the house with them---policing what they eat, inspecting them before big photo shoots, monitoring their partying ways, and using any means necessary to mold them into fierce supermodels who can bring in big money for the agency. CONTRACT The company would sign a contract with you as soon as you are ready to work with the agency, any model that turns out first in the show would also be signed into the agency for the sum of $40,000 and the salary of $3,000 every month.I think this the dream of any model in the industry. You would also have a chance to be some hip hop video i.e if you would like and you would also be featured in some famous magazines like complex magazine, FHM, ETC. The chairman C.E.O OF Def Jam Mr Sean Carter would also want you to model for him, i mean helping him advertise his designs made from Roca wears in some magazines. Is there a group or any articles that show job seekers how to modify their resumes when they're seeking work in a new field when they have transferrable skills? So many of them, for example fast food, military, oil, marketing, and advertising industries, bureaucracies, and corporate corruption, etc., hurts more than it helps. Or at least that if there is a "liberal media" - MSNBC and CNN are not really a part of it...? The Obama WH's criticism of Fox News boils down to the fact that fox "isn't really news" because it pushes a "point of view". This basically implies it's propaganda with calling it "propaganda". Do they realize political parties also push one "point of view" and that a $150 million advertising campaign bankrolled by BIG PHRMA to push Democratic healthcare "reform" could be called propaganda as well?? That's because the Baucus bill matches up, nearly to the letter, with the secret deal that he, the White House and Big Pharma struck over the summer -- a deal the various parties roundly denied had been struck when it went public. In August, the Huffington Post published a memo that outlined exactly what each side was going to do for the other. And Big Pharma was getting a lot more than they were giving up. Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America senior vice president Ken Johnson said that the outline "is simply not accurate."
