hi, 2010 has been the worst year of mylife. It started out well. I had a bf i thought loved me. then he broke up with me through text message the day before winter break. When we got back to school he was going after my best friend, who repeatedly said that i was crazy and that he really didn't mean it. A few weeks later i fell in love again, with a guy who would tell me everyday that he loved me. Over and over again. he broke up with me through the phone while talking to his friend, WHILE telling me that he still loved me. then a week or so later he was found making out with a guy. Then my friends began to leave me out of stuff. They would only invite me if they wanted some other guy around. but i ignored it. then my birthday came around, and none of my friends were available. None of them would listen to my calls. or messages. and some would just yell at me for telling them that i got scared at night sometimes. Everysingle day i would have to go to school and watch my ex hit on everysingle one of my friends, when before we were together they hated him. Then for the most stupid reason they decided not to invite me to this party that we had been planning as a group for months. the reason being that i didn't give hugs when i felt like crap. I asked my friend what was going on, and she told me i'm not going to apologize for something i didn't do. So i spent my 3rd period crying. and later at home crying. On the last day, the day where i was never going to see any of them ever again, they told me that they were through with my crap. Even though whenever they asked i never said anything. and when i did, they would just call me an attention seeker. I didn't have the chance to tell any of them i was moving and so forth. Even when i wrote a letter to them telling them what was wrong they told me i was just being over reactive and stupid and an attention seeker. Even when i told them i was going to kill myself for real. When the summer started, we moved to california to stay with a few relatives, and i would spend a month or so trying to help my dad find a job. But everytime it would be, I swore never to go back there, I hate being a minority, it needs to pay more than my other job. when his old job paid the highest of everything. Then i decided to audition for a part in After School the kpop girl group. I had everything set up. i had been planning for weeks. etc. Then when i checked at the time they said to check it said i passed. I checked the next day, i wasn't even there. I had picture proof and everything. Then my brother bought me a WoW account using his own money. i had it for 4 days got to level 28 and had it canceled because apparently i was advertising when i didn't even know how to use the chat system. i got it back a week later. Then yesterday, it told me again that my account was cancelled for the same reason. when I still didn't do anything. but quest. When i took all the measures and thought that someone was hacking me. And now, as my last thing, i tried to sign up for a site so that i can audition to be in a musical/drama. i signed up twice. It didn't work. i tried using the forgot password method. it didn't work. I tried using the forgot username thing and it still didn't work. Then i spent the next hour searching for an email so i can email them so they can fix the problem or to send my audition clip to. I've been having really bad luck this year as you can see. And i would like to turn that around for good. So are there any methods i could use to make this better? I prayed to God everyday. i went to a Buddhist temple and bought 2 good luck charms. and through every period between each bad event i have an optimistic attitude. Is there anything i can do? at all? more

So for the last couple days I've been feeling really depressed and sad (idk why, maybe it's because I was watching youtube clips of Britney in 1999, and Britney and Justin..and I miss it :/ aaand I kinda want them to get back together! lol) Anywho, right now I feel really down because I'm dying to be surrounded by people in the entertainment industry...teh creativity, everything, especially music. I dont know if this is temporary, but i do like performing and music, but i cant read music and I dont like teh business side of it. I just feel like, once you're in, you can do ANYTHING! Like be a director for a concert, movie awards, work in advertising, movies, records, etc..but idk how to though. Like does it matter what major?? Could a theatre major help? I'm currently at U of Miami, and they do have a Music Bus./Ent. Industry major, but with an automatic Business minor as it's geared towards that...and I'm the opposite of being entrepeneurial! Voting Question: Windows Moviemaker + Youtube questions?

Ok... so recently ive decided that I want to make some videos to put on youtube and the only thing availible to me to help me make a video is Windows Moviemaker, and I have some questions. Keep in mind I have never used this before, never even looked at it (until now). For my first video I thought it would be cool to make some sort of montage of my favorite games (im a videogamer). Some questions I have though are: 1. Is there anyway to turn on and off the in game music because I was planning to play a song in the background but at times would like to be able to hear portions of the ingame footage. 2. What are the chances youtube will delete my video due to "copyright infringement" and how do I avoid it. I dont know why they would delete a video if im basicly advertising everything in it, but ive heard of people getting their videos deleted for no apparent reason other than that they had a song in it, etc. 3. Is there anyway to make my video look more proffesional? I noticed when entering the credits its just a blue screen and standard white font, is there anyone to customize it a little more? 4. Is there anyway to split multiple parts of a video fast instead of click > split > click > split. I guess I would just like to hold shift and click everywhere I want it to break, but it didnt work. 5. What types of files can I import into moviemaker (most clips I will have to get off the internet...). I have a program that downloads youtube videos into flv format, does this program support that or will I have to convert them to an mp4 or something? ok guys i work at a rescue and i usually clip the dogs nails in the centre as it cuts back on vet costs i have also been clipping my dogs nails for years , the last few months while out on walks i have been speaking to other dogs owners and the price of nail clipping has came up alot as it is £30 just to see the vets in our area and then further priced for simple things like nail clipping, and it seems as tho a lot of people are just leaving there dgs nails to get unbearably long because of the price. so my question is should i advertise locally to clip dogs nails for free and to show owners how to do it correctly, i know im not doing a lot really and people should pay for the care of there dog if they choose to have one but its the dogs that are suffering unnecessarily for the owners to save a few pennies.. do you think me doing this would be a good thing or just causing people to take there dogs to the vet less , im trying to weigh out the pros and cons as i have always liked to help animals as much as possible so what is your opinion ?yeah i understand about the legal points, me and two friends i volunteer at the shelter with 1 a groomer, one a vetinary assistant are thinking of doing a charity fun day where they can come and have there nails clipped by donation and educate owners how to do it at home, and do a dog show etc and try and get people to participate in dog rescue etc it is still very early planning but if we get permission this maybe our best bet :) more

My church is creating a one page (front and back) small business owner guide where we will allow small business owners of the church to advertise their business for only $5 a month to help promote their businesses in this economy! It's a great idea and I am excited to be part of it. Basically my idea is a two sided 8x11 ish page with small business card sized ads which I want to all have borders seperating each add and I want to have the ability to put in some graphics like clip art and what not. Voting Question: Why is Windows Movie Maker not letting me import video clips?

It worked fine before... I'm also seeing that video files I'm saving to my computer with my flip cam are not showing up in the saved folder as thumbnails any more, but some kind of standard icon instead. I tried to download some freeware to burn DVD's of my videos that could play in a DVD player, and nothing worked as advertised and what's worse I fear I accidentally deleted something important when I deleted the freeware. There may have been some kind of anti-competitor gremlin in all that somewhere, who knows? more

Resolved Question: Does a freeware .mpg to .wmv converter exist that is reliable?

I've tried "Any Video Converter" that at first seemed to do an awesome job with taking 1GB+ video clips and turning them into 100MB and under clips with excellent quality. But I started seeing that after over an hour of encoding a file, the audio wasn't syncing up with the video and was waaay off. I tried Windows Media Encoder. It seemed to do a good job with the video - but there's no freaking audio to go with the video that it converted. It stripped the audio for some unknown reason, and just made a video only with no sound. Does a freeware program exist that will do this simple conversion without all the b.s. false advertising? more

Basically I'm getting a laptop and mobile broadband for my Birthday, but I'm a bit confused, so it'd be much appreciated if anyone could help! I'm dead-set on going with Vodafone, as they're my mobile provider and I never seem to have any problems with them. It advertises as their Standard option being - 3GB. You could surf for 100 hours, send 2000 e-mails, download 200 music tracks and 100 short video clips. However, their premium version is only 5GB and advertises it as 100 hours, too. I would only be using my laptop for going on the internet and stuff, not downloading anything. Does this mean you only get 100 hours per month of internet? Resolved Question: Help deciding what to take in UNIVERSITY or COLLEGE!?! (maybe something techy?) - share experience !! :D?

so im going to apply tomorrow to university and college, both... but the thing is i dont know what to apply into and i'd love some help choosing.. right now i am taking/took... religion, advanced functions, calculous and vectors, international business, english, and im debating on either biology or bussiness management.... so ya, ive been looking into it, and i want to go to either University of Toronto Mississauga, or Sheridan College... im getting a 90 in business and got a 83 in math, but truthfully i dont like them, and i dispise english, probably going to get a 70 in that... i asked guidance and they said since u dont know what u want to do then how about you take Humanities and pick a major, or take sociology and pick a major, and then do that for a year and see if what you like in university.... after looking at the majors it looks kind of depressing, like history, english, anthro... i duno its just weird and then looking into college i find it being sooo much more... interesting, but thers too much to take :P i dont know what i should apply for!!! like i was finding these to be more interesting headings... Animation Graphic Design Advertising International Business(not so much anymore) Marketing(not so much anymore :P) computer gaming computer hardware/networking/systems Computer information management/. informatics computer programming basically i want to get into something using alot of new technology, because i find that sooo much more interesting... something like sitting and maybe playing with photoshop, and editing movies that kind of thing! ... i was watching breakfast television the other day at like 7 am and they show these guys sitting in a darkened room, with like 4 computer screens infront of them, and like combining clips and stuff,,, and i just see that im like wow thats wikked, i woudlnt mind duin that, just chilin and making random stuff :P i also was hanging out at utm and saw how they have these new computers there and like stocks running accross the tv's in there, and i was thinking maybe something like that? i remebr seeing a pic of some guys sitting in a room filled with iMacs, and im just thinking thats pritty koo, i woudlnt mind play with that kinda stuff so ya i kindof explained to the best of my ability what im into i guess... so im hoping someone can tell me what they got into? and what they took, what job they are doing now? like more information the better!! more

I just got done watching the latest "episode" of The Office. There is nothing I hate more than a clip show. You get lured in by the network under the false pretenses of a new episode, only to find out that they've just strung together a series of old clips and called it a new episode. It's like going to a junkyard, putting a bunch of old parts together and calling it a new car. It's false advertising. It's immoral. It's the reason all network executives go to hell.Congress needs to take action now to prevent further injustice. more

I'm very interested in pursuing fashion marketing as a career (I love ideas for shoots and advertising) but I don't devote nearly as much of my personal life to fashion. Sure if my nails are too long I'll somwhat botchedly clip them or if my skin get's too dry I'll buy some vaseline but in general I don't really care too much about devoting tons of money and time to getting the perfect look or whatever. I'd rather spend money on video games. comics and a new electric keyboard than making myself look plastic. Does this make me ill-fitted for such a superficial world or does it not really matter? more

Resolved Question: Why can't I use MSN and watch youtube clips on my Samsung Delphi?

I just bought a Samsung Delphi primarily because It was advertised on a phone that was good for IMing, facebook and watching youtube however I can only get facebook to work. When I try to watch youtube it says that it is not supported, the carphone warehouse site claims otherwise. The palringo IM app is also a complete joke it is supposed to offer most major IM services however all I have the option to use is AIM, ICq and google talk. It's getting to the point where I'm considering just returning this phone but before I did I figured I would see if anyone knew how I could go about fixing these issues? more

Right, so today I got an email saying that one of my popular videos is eligible for a advertising revenue scheme, where YouTube put those annoying ads (Make your self into a cartoon, I got ripped in 2 days, single mom.. blah blah blah) Onto my video and I get a steak in the profits (this email is from YouTube, its not a phishing scam) BUT In this video their is a clip from an introduction to Combat FLight Simulator (Owned by Microsoft) And it says if you apply for the program with copyright content in your videos, you're in big trouble! What do I do? Contact Microsoft? How much money is their to be made? Im guessing pence.. Thanks! more

there's a commercial running on syfy that shows clips from almost every show that they air. it featurs upcomming shots of the 2010 season, and it says imagine greater, and lists all the show's names. i saw the commercial during the premiere of alice, and i'm sure they run it at other times. there's a song that plays in the background and i can't really hear the lyrics that well because the actors in the clips are talking over it, but it sounds like they repeat, "feel all alone" a few times. does anyone know this song? i love it but i'm clueless. Resolved Question: I'm designing video game, who has some ideas and suggestions?

As just said, I am currently programming a video game of my own. As a story, you have entered a dance contest and lost badly. You do not know why but you suspect that you lost your groove. Now, to find out what your groove is, you will have to travel from town to town to see what's best for you. Each town has it's own music genre and theme. Here's what I have so far: Classical, Blues, Country, Oldies, Rock, Rap/HipHop, Metal, Techno, Pop, Disco, 80s I need to know if I should group any of these together? Should I split Rap and Hip Hop as to seperate genres? Should I remove the 80s "genre" because it realy isn't a genre... but I'm making the game for my sister... and she loves 80s music. And are there any genres I'm leaving out (that are actualy worth putting in the game)? Oh, and I forgot to say, it's a platform game. I am using XPivot program to make story clips (by importing sprites, I am not using stick people, for those who are familiar with pivot). I am including cheats in the game. Maybe I will have hidden worlds that can be unlocked by a code.. or something. So if anyone wants to help out, I can (if you want) put you in the credits of my game when it's finished. Please list anything that could help me. Maybe give me some cheat ideas or different genres and basicaly anything that could make this game easier to make. When the game is finished, I will probably advertise it on youtube or something. I am almost positive that I will make it freeware.
