Online insists, "we can assure you she did not give up any of her swag." They quote an unnamed vendor who claims that upwards of 20 people from the Palin camp swarmed the event. "They were like locusts," he told the entertainment news outlet. According to AOL's Pop Eater, publicist Ben Russo of EMC/Bowery said, "she kind of cleaned the place out." They list out a number of her swag-grabs, including United Hair Care products, jewels from Pascal Mouawad, Skagen watches and a whopping 40 pairs or AIAIAI earphones. It didn't stop there. HollywoodLife.com reports that she also picked up a blue Kenya robe from designer Jenna Leigh, facewash and a pair of foam Bandal sandals. Or, in common-sense language, Palin and her handlers, "practically cleaned out the suite." Another unnamed source, from HollywoodLife.com, says that the former Vice Presidential candidate was intent on spreading all that wealth around her own circle. "She insisted every person in her huge entourage get something, and there were assistants, nannies, security - insanity!" The same source also said that security swept the venue and would not allow photos, which are often expected by companies to use as promotion in exchange for the free products.One Palin question is now virtually stalking. Open Question: Austin, TX Home Depot Window Installation!?

On February 20th my husband and I signed up for window installation through the Home Depot. Since then we have not heard from the representative we signed the contract with, nor from the 'Houston Office' that was supposed to schedule the installation once week from the contract signing. We emailed the rep on Monday for scheduling and haven't heard anything back. We found out yesterday that the credit card promotion we signed up for (and is written in on our contract) wasn't entered by the representative and rather than having 12 months no interests/no payments, we will have a payment due on March 20th. The credit card department said they can change it to no interest/no payments for 12 months if the rep faxes the contract by tomorrow afternoon (we'd still have to make the first payment which is okay, but not what is written in our contract!), but we've been trying to reach the rep since Monday and haven't heard anything back. According to the credit card department the charge was put through, but not the work order. The manager at the local Home Depot has offered no help on this matter except providing the rep's phone number, and the rep is of course not answering the phone. IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR WINDOWS THROUGH THE RECENT HOME DEPOT PROMOTION - IN TEXAS OR ANY WHERE - CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND YOUR CONTRACT! Does anyone have contact information for higher ups at Home Depot that can handle this type of issue? We now have no windows, no installation date, no contacts, and $3200 due. I created a promotion code for a calculator where someone can enter in a promotion code and the form will automatically calculate the discount from the code. so for a code from 401 to 600 then you will get a 20% off discount when purchasing 10 or more items. Voting Question: Saving money around the fucking house(:?

Alright, yes i know that swear word was highly unnecessary but who cares > . > I cuss a lot out of habit. Anyway, Im 14 years old and my family has been going through some money problems. It will get better because we payed off all of the credit card bills but i want to do more than just check out whats going on money-wise from my parents. I have a couple questions to ask♥ 1.) Does a ceiling light use more electricity than a lamp? 2.) Since im on the computer i know that it's using money, but does it cost more to have a webcam that im not using plugged in? ~ . ~ 3.) Are cold, 5 minute showers less money than hot showers? 4.) Resolved Question: Can the military be held accountable for breach of contract?

I'm a member of the U.S. Navy, and was guaranteed an enlistment bonus of $16,000, in addition to promotion to paygrade E-4 upon completion of my training. I completed my training 8 months ago, and have not received my bonus, nor have I received my E-4 pay. At the moment, factoring backpay, they owe me around $20,000 and I'm yet to see a dime of it. I've filed paperwork, various chits, to get this fixed, and have seen no result, and even if I had seen a result, the immense delay before I've been able to see money that has been owed to me for nearly a year is absolutely ludicrous. I could have used this money months ago, hell, I could use it now. As such, I'm wondering if the Navy can be held accountable in a breach of contract suit, for failing to live up to items that have been guaranteed to me in writing, or is there some agency one can contact outside of one's individual command to get such things straightened out? It seems like a major part of the issue is the chain of command where I'm stationed having a bad habit of sitting around on paperwork. more

Allright, I'm in a real political pickle lately and could use some advice. But first let me kind of explain the situation. For around a year now, a few co-workers and I have been handling the online presence of the university that I work at. We handle the main page and a few sub-pages that are extended out of that. We also handle a lot of the specific college sites, and just about any other web help that anyone at the university needs. We also gave the front page of the university website a much needed redesign and also created a lot of new infrastructure that allowed for easy and timely updates to a lot of our sites. Ever since we re-launched and have been handling all this stuff, we've gotten nothing but appreciation and praise. Granted, our job titles and descriptions never changed after we got all of this new responsibility, but in a time of state proration, I never really found a reason to complain about the job security that this kind of steady work allowed for. In that year, we've been helping make constant updates to all of these sites. The process is pretty straightforward, someone emails us about a news item or event and we post it to the web site. No big deal, or at least you'd think. Lately, some of the administrative offices have taken it upon themselves to step in and request that we ask for "approval" in order to post anything like this. This was initially understandable, as we had more announcements than we could fit at times and didn't want to make the call as to who was more important and more deserving. But after the rush, we're told that we still need to forward requests along for this approval. And in addition to that, we can't even tell the people making the requests why we can't handle the work as timely as we have in the past. So it makes us look pretty bad, as if we're suddenly slacking off. The lady who is supposedly our manager and contact point between us and others when we need it is especially unhelpful lately. The other guys and myself have constantly emailed and personally asked her how to proceed on things, and it often takes a week or more for her to get back in touch with us. She seems either unwilling or unable to make the decisions she needs, which further puts us back in being able to accomplish or work, which makes us look even worse. I'd really appreciate it if someone were to stick up for us and communicate to all parties that we're not just slacking off and are just doing what we're told. Or really, I'd very much appreciate it if someone were to grow a pair and tell someone to blow off because we've handled things just fine on our own for the past year. But neither of those seem likely to be happening anytime soon. Job security still isn't an issue, but advancement sure is. My hope was that at the end of state proration, our jobs would be made more or less official and we'd be given the promotion and raise we deserved once we started doing far more than what's in our existing description. Even if we're suddenly usurped for whatever political reason, we still have a very steady job in our existing title. So that's not a concern. But my question for you guys is what do I do in the meantime? The other guys I work with and myself have talked about this in the past week trying to figure out our options. But it seems as if we're going to piss off someone no matter what we do. We can continue to do as we're asked and essentially not do our work, but that will continue to make everyone think we're just sitting around here doing nothing. Or we can just continue working as we have in the past, but that would step on a few administrative toes. Communicating to everyone involved doesn't seem to be an option, as we've essentially been asked not to do that and those supposedly managing things won't do it either. Any ideas? I really have no clue at this point if there's even anything I can do. more

Working as a cashier, the store i'm at just started a new promotion where cashiers hand out tickets for items purchased there a you get like a ticket for each item you purchase. You get a chance to win at the end. It's gonna go on for about 3-5months The thing is we are responsible for the tickets, if someone comes in and buys 100 items we have to give them 100 tickets. But what mess things up is if your line is long your have to count the tickets for each customer. If you have long lines and people wanting to go, that's holding them up. And you have to be exact with them if your wrong you get in trouble, you then have to wait for the CSM customer serv mang to count if you did it correct. WTF can be done i mean it's gonna create more lines and longer wait times. I ticket short you have to account for it. I mean any other full time job I could understand it, but min wage partime job. I'm going crazy, both of the adult sims in one of my homes got major promotions, and I decided to demolish their old crappy house and build a new one. I have The sims "double deluxe" which includes the base game plus nightlife expansion, and I recently bought the apartment life expansion. I haven't had any problems with the new expansions (except for a little lag in game speed every once in a while) but im having a horrible glitch with my new indoor foundations. (I'm not sure if it's important but I have a base foundation on the house along with the indoor foundation in one room) I asked one of my sims to enter the second floor of the house and a bubble popped over her head saying she could not enter the room. I have stairs, I have room at the top of the stairs, and i don't see any obstruction. I went into build mode and decided to just get rid of the second foundation, but when I tried to delete it, it said that i several of the squares of foundation were not able to be deleted. every time I try to delete the squares, they glow red and a pop up says that I need to remove all items from the floor first! I have deleted everything in the room including the ceiling fan and the wall hangings, yet it still says that I cannot delete the squares! I spent more than 3 hours building the home and decorating it, and I really do want to avoid demolishing the home if I can save it somehow. I called Topps to see if I could get some of the minature cards and was sent one of these uncut sheets. I work at a store and we run promotions where some items are marked below cost. Since my commission works off of gross profit and the below cost items have no profit they actually count against my commission depending on how much below cost they are. Now if I sell one of these items and use Wells Fargo 12 months no interest my employer charges the finance charges to me and i end up going that much more in the hole. I actually paid them to sell the item. For example if the cost of a ring is 5,000 and the retail is 10,000 I would make 16.13% of the 5000 profit. With a sale item that is 5k cost and they are retailing it for 4k I have the 1k difference subtracted from my gross profit for the month. It is even worse when i have to finance it at 6% interest which also goes against my commission. Do I have any legal rights to stop them from doing this? more

A good retailer website all contains the effective elements on it such as organizing categories, the ability to read, the ability to search items, and ability to realize the item from the picture. The two retailer web sites I am going to evaluate are The Body Shop website (TBS) and The Bath and Body Work website (BBW). As a consumer, I realize TBS is more successful, because of its pleasing visual appeal, smooth easy access, and understandable information. TBS has better visual appeal than BBW web. Visual appeal is the setting of pictures, color tones and graphic presentations which always give us the first impression. A web design expert, Tom Dahm states, “Color is also important for emphasizing the most important parts of our page. Remember that the purpose of Web design is to draw the visitor's eye to key page elements.” (2001). TBS keep using green consistently to highlight its natural ingredients, so the basic colors of website are green, white and black. On the homepage, it presents the products in front of the leaves with the black background. The clear background colors are not only for emphasizing TBS’s natural idea but also for highlighting of the soft color of its skin product’s image. TBS impacts visitors to have a positive impression about its natural products by using leaves in the background to make a color contrast with its products’ surface tone. For all pictures, it shows the products on the left and descriptions on the right. Using this simple design can help the consumer to discover the products and the promotion at same time. Resolved Question: Air Force, general questions and worries of an enlisted airman?

I am a recent high school graduate and after spending a few weeks in college, I've come to the conclusion that it is not for me, not yet at least. I have always expressed interest in the military, specifically the Air Force. I'm looking for an enlisted airman to respond or someone better informed than myself. My questions 1. After I make the decision to see a recruiter, what goes on in that interview? Do I sign the papers and hop on a bus right there? 2. Are any personal items allowed to be brought to basic training or brought once stationed on a base? Ex; computer, cell phone, etc. 3. After basic training is complete and I'm assigned to a base, what are my expected living arrangements? As a new recruit am I to share a bunk bed with several dozen other recruits in a barracks or do we each have our own apartments, homes, dorms? 4. I've heard from friends that there is a written test, a "military S.A.T.", asfad or something is what I think it was called. From what I've been told, one is supposed to take this test asap after joining as this is some sort of intelligence test for the military to see how smart you are and that depending on your score you gain a bonus, higher scores granting higher bonuses and visa versa. Is this true and if so what is the recommended reading or fields of study I should be looking into for preparation of this test? 5. Pay. When do I recieve my first paycheck and how often am I paid a month? I've heard rumors that military salaries are tax free. Is this true? 6. Promotions. How long will it take for the average recruit to be promoted to the next rank, and the next rank? What are the factors that contribute to one being promoted? Time, performance, language skills, intelligence? ... ass kissing? 7. Career choosing. Once I join, am I allowed to choose my field of work or am I thrown into whatever job the air force needs at the moment? When should I start deciding on a career? Should I research the air force's website and choose then? Will my recruiter explain jobs to me? As a lost, worried average post high school grad with no idea what he really wants to do for a living, will I be given any guidance on my decision? Is there an aptitude test or skills test I can take that will better help narrow down which career is best for me? 8. After signing up for a four year service commitment, can I go to college while serving these four years and than once graduating with a bachelor's degree, can I apply to become an officer?
