Resolved Question: Shopify alternative, create your own website?

I am currently working on creating my own website via Shopify. It is very good but I may not be able to use Shopify as I sell personalised products. I am not a web builder but am happy with the cms system. When creating the product Shopify only lets you set up different size choices and colours etc not set variations of custom text fields for customers to fill in their details for personalisation. I need to be able to have variations of custom text field for each product and then to take the info through to the cart. Does any one know a company out there who offer free templates and a good cms system so I can make my on website. I am a small business so don't want one that goes on about tracking customers etc I want an attractive shop that I can sell my personalised gifts. I am competent with illustrator and photoshop so can do the designing myself, I can't do codes etc. more

Resolved Question: Windows 7 Theme Question - Themes not changing?

Before I go any further I do know how to change the desktop theme in Windows 7. I have Win 7 Ultimate at home. I have a custom theme setup on that computer. I am using Windows 7 Professional on a networked computer at work. I have researched this problem and have come across no workable solution. The themes are not grayed out and a custom theme is the default theme setup associated with the organization that I work for. This is a networked computer and I DO NOT have administrative sign on ability. I cannot sellect a different theme. So with all this being said does anyone know how to allow changing of the desktop theme? Please spare your time by telling me that I need to right click on the desktop (or get there some other way) and left click on "Personalize". And then click on the theme I want to use, it does not work, that is my problem!!! more

Resolved Question: How do I wire 2 sound sources to a single speaker without frying one of the sources?

I have a David Clark headset for when I fly that I've modded and personalized. I like listening to music in the background when I'm on the ground and whatnot and until now I've just used a set of iPod earbuds and put my headset over them. However that's annoying and hurts after awhile. I've since modded them with a "IN" jack in the side of the headset so I can plug my iPod into the headset itself through a custom cable I made. However I apparently so far have used the wrong diodes inline because first I didn't get anything but garbled sound, and then I used a lesser resistance one and it fried my iPod when I ran it and the ICS at the same time. I need help with how I should wire 2 unequal sound sources so that they use the same speaker. Thanks for the help. more

Resolved Question: What is soemthing good to put in custom shot glasses for wedding favors?

So everyone (well, the adults) are getting these shot glasses as wedding favors from us, custom imprinted with the mongram I created for us and our wedding date, etc. (only factory picture available as I havent received ours yet, so my monogram is not pictured): http://www.discountmugs.com/nc/personalized-glassware/137/2oz-custom-printed-square-shot-glasses.htm ours are purple by the way... Anyway, we were trying to decide how to present them on the table. Our tables are pretty elegant, dark purple table linens with tower vases full of purple roses, orange tiger lillies, and bursts of other flowers along with some vines hanging as well, and candles all around the base in different shades of purple and different sizes. Would putting one flower in each of them look good as a way to present them? And each stem would have a tag saying thank you, our wedding date, etc. Or should It have candy in each one of some type? I really like the one flower in each one, which would be a silk flower to also be kept as a keepsake although I see about half of them being left on the table. Any ideas of something else we could include? Also, what type of glass should I put our signature cocktail in for those entering the receptin? is it okay to use plastic champaigne glasses that are disposable? because we dont have a caterer to provide real glasses and I dont know what I would do with 200 wine glasses after it was all over! we only have this signature drink for our cocktail hour because a friend of ours created it for us and is our bartender for that night. Hello. I would like to know how much it would cost to have fender make a custom guitar for me. I have the details, but would like to get an estimate. A stratocaster body, not sure about the neck wood, either maple or rosewood, but an alder body. The fret board markers would be my signature. At the 21st fret my initials are inlayed. My own custom finish. I am sure i want a light blue color, sort of like lake placid blue. Either 3 texas special single coil pickups or 3 new noiseless n3 strat pickups. basic silver fender tuning pegs. nut width 1.6875. Scale length 25.5. synchronized tremelo. white 1 ply pickguard or 3 ply. Like i said the fretboard will have my signature. I can not explain that part, other than like stevie ray vaughan's guitar that has his signature on his fretboard. I would like a personalized neck plate too. And on the headstock my sigature as well. I attended a birthday party for my best friend Marty. Everyone seemed to have a good time. When it came time for Marty to open his gifts, I told him that I had a super-special present for him. I told him to come outside where I would reveal the gift, so naturally everyone followed me outside. I had Marty sit down in a lawn chair and I joined him in the center of the crowd and then I began whistling a custom rendition of "Kiss From a Rose" by Seal. I went on for about 2 minutes and as I slowly finished whistling the tune, I could tell Marty wasn't really happy. When it was over everyone kinda nervously clapped, but there was this awkward silence. When I explained that it was over, Marty sort of smirked and thanked me, and then we all went back into the house and he opened his other gifts. Everytime he would open someones gift he would jump around and laugh and smile and thank them so much, and I felt bad because he didn't even seem to be that excited when I had whistled the tune to him, as my gift. Ive always been told that its the thought that counts, but it certainly didn't feel that way. I thought giving Marty a unique gift, such as whistling a song, would have made him happy. But apparently he enjoyed the Walgreens gift cards, and tie-dye shoe laces that everyone else got him, more than my personalized whistling performance. Go figure... more

Voting Question: Windows 7 custom cursor problem?

I've had my new Acer laptop with Windows 7 for about two weeks now and about half a week ago I downloaded some cursors from legit sites. The cursors look and work fine but for some reason every time I restart my computer it goes back to default. I can change them by going to personalize and clicking Confirm (because its still my custom cursors it just displays as default) but is there any way I can fix this?Thanks for the response and would my Norton security have anything to do with that? more

My laptop started going funny last night and overheated . i left it , came back on , and it had lost like everything , i reinstalled it all and then it went funny again sayign my hard drive c is corrupted. In windows 7 home if I click personalize I can see my custom themes but if I click them the don't run. They just open a box about font settings. Also I cannot change my screensaver.
