Preferably somewhere in the UK.?
I am starting up a small business selling video games on all formats, retro games, gifts and gadgets online, but I am finding it hard to get a reliable wholesaler here in the UK. Is there anywhere online that anyone can suggest? How about those websites in China where if you buy say 20 items or more you get them at an ever cheaper rate. Are any of them actually any good? Have you bought from them? Did you receive good service? Many Thanks in advance. moreResolved Question: my cousin shoplifted a bracelet worth £1.50 from primark?
My cousin stole a bracelet worth £1.50 however, she even purchased a top and paid for it. but while she was leaving the showroon, she was stopped by two security men and asked to follow them to get investigated. first she said that bracelet was a gift, but later she admitted. she is not a U.K citizen and 22 years old. she was told to give the name and the address. and no other investigation was done. she even said that she could pay for that, but they refused. she was made to let go. does that mean no further action will be taken against her as the item was very cheap. or they can send the cops & all at the house address she gave?she started to cry, perhaps she was a girl that made them not call the cops. but can there be any way that they can trace her and put charges upon?why did they not do in the first place? moreResolved Question: Friend's 17th Birthday -- I need help on chooseing a gift !!!?

Am particularly looking for cheap items in bulk. Ornaments, keyrings, novelty jewellery, displays etc. Preferably an online shop and not Ebay. I'm looking for a reliable regular supplier. moreResolved Question: Husband passive-aggressive behaviour?
I know after 6 years of marriage that my husband is a passive-agressive. I just wondered if anyone out there has experience of this? whenever anything upsets me he refuses or is unable to physically comfort me - he belittles the incident by calling it ridiculous or if for example I am not feeling well and I get angry at his lack of sympathy he reverses it and says things like " well Im not feeling well either". I think it is because he was never shown much compassion as a child. He walks off and calls me a "winger" whenever I get upset. On my 40th birthday he knew that I wanted a specific necklace and my sister got him the details of where to get the item. My best friend also rang and wanted to organise something for me. On the morning of my birthday he gave me gift vouchers and a cheap necklace and mumbled about getting something else. Sounds ungrateful but I was upset but tried not to show it. I was in tears and he left for work. On his return I was quiet and withdrawn. He confronted me and I told him that I was upset he didnt get the necklace. He then went mad at me an called me a spoilt brat. My brother then arranged a lovely meal out for me in the evening and my family ensured that I had a wonderful evening. When we got home I put my arm around him and he pushed me away saying he felt like an outsider - I went to sleep in tears. Is this passive aggressive behaviour? what can I do and what do you think? moreVoting Question: How to export an item from America to UK?
I have bought some software & equipment from an American store. My question is 'What is the best way of sending it to me'? A few things about it: The equipment was made in Germany and China. It's purchase value is $250. I have a couple of options as well. 1) Send it to family in Canada, who can then fly it back in a few weeks. 2) Send it to a friend in America, get them to send it to family in Canada...to fly it back. 3) Send to friend in America, who then sends it to me. 4) Send it directly to me. I'm getting confused with how they calculate taxes and postage. Ideally, I need the cheapest option to get it over to me. It is actually a gift for someone. Thanks for the answers so far. I need to know what to expect myself. Its my responsibility to sort, not the senders. The last option is probably the most expensive. That's why I'm asking for advice. moreResolved Question: Politicians expence's row?
That is the point Politicians should not be above the law but seems they are. One rule for the vunerable honest public and another for the so called politicians. A shoplifter or a innocent man with a lot on his mind making a mistake with his tax's would not be given the chance to explain never mind say it was a mistake they would be charged and receive a criminal record but not for the politicians it seems they can and do want they want. Well i for one am really angry at this so called justice system because my sister made a mistake with a returned item in a gift store where she bought two similar items on different days and decided to to return the other but she used the wrong receipt, she returned the cheaper item with the more expensive receipt and the store right away called the police and now the case has gone to the public prosacution for fraud by false representation. And it was a genuine mistake as the items where simalar and the two receipts where the exact same only difference was the amount by 16 pounds. Now please tell me people how is this right and fair when the "so" called politicians are doing much the same thing and getting away with saying "oh" sorry it was a "MISTAKE" like Justice Secretary Jack Straw over-claimed for his council tax and mortgage bills before realising his mistake and paying the money back. If she did this and told the police "oh" sorry it was a mistake i'll pay back the money now do you think they would understand and say no problem? Not a chance in hell she would be charged as these "so called politicians" should be, if not then it is clear it is one rule for us and another for them and nothing will change!!! Gordon Brown should be sacked and all the other's that wrongfully claimed and fiddled or else why have police and goverment officials if there is "NO" real rules to abide by? moreResolved Question: Sex discrimination in providing of goods and services?
I am a man who shops online using a catalogue. They offer free gifts to their shoppers in the form of female clothing. I have explained that I am not a transvestite and that I want a male jacket of equal value. The last item they sent me free was a cheap nasty mini skirt that made me look like a right slut. Is this legal to offer gifts/perks in one gender only when you have both male and female shoppers? Thank you for replying. moreResolved Question: Why is pearls an inappropriate gift to give to my girlfriend for our 1 year anniversary?
I've asked my friends who are girls about giving this as my 1 year anniversary present for my girlfriend: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=14886435&mcat=148204&cid=287465&search_params=s+5-p+44-c+287465-r+101323338-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+ And almost all of them said that is totally inappropriate and that she won't like it because it's cheap-looking? I know that my girlfriend has wanted it pearls for awhile, so I was thinking of giving it to her for our anniversary or our birthday. But now I don't know what to do, because I'm guessing girls know best what girls want.. Also they've been saying that pearls are too old for a 16 year old girl, even if she does want it, she'll never use it. What do I do? moreResolved Question: Bought a gift before exmas...refund if the gift is now cheaper?

...I mean; since i acquire them for free from modelling, and they're too expensive to buy myself. So, aside from saving myself money, wouldn't they be better appreciated than 'brand-new' but cheaper items? Kindly share your thoughts.I only used them in photo-shoots... and yes, they're washed. LOLBecause they were new unreleased products when we wore them, Andrew sir... No similar-sized products are modelled twice. moreResolved Question: Duty And Tax Fees For Shipping Over To England?
You know when sometimes you buy goods ie CD's and Dvd's from America and get them shipped over the UK sometimes a unwanted tax bill arrives a few days later from fedex or whoever, I heard if they are declared a gift this doesnt happen now when I go to the checkout to buy my goods it says a gift wrap is avaialable for a very cheap price just a tiny fraction almost are they hinting I should perhaps choose this item and not be taxed and would subsequently spend more or am I reading too much into it? moreResolved Question: Beautifil Longines Watch for sale?

Ok :), I have been all over italy and also to it's islands of Sicily and sardinia, I had a lovely time in terms of its natural beauty, beaches and countryside, (Cities/towns v dirty though, too much dog Crap everywhere!!). The Problem is I felt a bit stung anytime I encountered the natives, particularly ones in the hospitality industry, ironically, like restaurants for one and also shop owners from retail to basic groceries, to icecream shops. I kept thinking, oh it's just that shop owner who's rude but it just kept happening 9 out of 10 times, I felt they almost went out of their way to be rude and make you feel unwelcome. This didn't happen in Sicily(different class of people:) ) but sardinia in particular I found very much lacking in social graces. Politeness costs nothing .......I doubt they have an equivalent saying in italiano......somehow. Salo is a town looking onto lake garda in the North of italy. I must mention it due to the Extreme rudeness in their shops, 2 in particular...one was a small gift shop looking on to the square, it sold cheap novelty goods, run by an old hag and her daughter, the old hag follows people who aren't italian round the shop, watching them like they're up to something when they're just trying to browse under her evil glares and bitter mutterings which translated into Horrible insults by those who could understand the mad hag's spittle, one presumes the hag thought tourists didn't understand italian, I'm sure her Thick, Bargy, Nasty, manner doesn't help her daughter's Brassy,Cheap, Little GewGaw business lol, so Just Desserts on that one ;). The other shop that was particularly Rude out of a whole spate, was also in salo, a minute's walk down the street from the other Dump. This shop dealt in skimpy garments and they have the most Bizarre way of behaving, if you go to pick up an item to look at it, as people do, lol, the shop owner would be over, Curtly telling you that you shouldn't put the clothes that you pick up back on the shelf and that you had to take it over to a table to look at it???? lol talk about OTT :), someone I was with observed that the shop owner didn't treat the italian browsers in the same Ignorant Abrupt fashion, when they picked up clothes and put them back on the shelves!!! Seems like they can show courtesy when it suits them i.e., to their own Rude country men/women, when they are in their Dumps and won't take their blunt and rude behaviour, Or, when they smell Money, then of course their Reptilian contenances can crack an insincere smile for the duration of the passing of tender then snap back to their molto bello Crocodilian demeanor LOL. Very Very Rude, UnHelpful, UnFriendly, Mean, Bad Natured Sort, are the italianos. If you are thinking of visiting....you wouldn't want to be sensitive or soft , be prepared, shout and gesture at them before they do at you, invest in an italiano insult book, (I'm very sure there's no shortage of these to be had LOL) and use it with gusto! They seem only to treat people with respect when they speak italiano or are shouted at and treated rudely from the onset!!!:) LOL.......... I find;) moreResolved Question: Has anyone gone abroad to do some Duty Free Shopping?

I know the couple very well, and I am at a loss. In near desperation I turn to you for ideas. The (European) couple both work and live in Cambodia. I fly out in about 2 weeks via Hong Kong. Any ideas for a wedding present? Please bear in mind - I fly, so if bought in UK must be light, robust, small. They can’t own property in Cambodia (law) so no "house" presents as such. Most things I could get would be cheaper in Cambodia anyway! Budget about £200 (pounds sterling) or so. I will be taking a few quintessentially British items with me as gifts anyway. I have asked the couple and received no useful answers. I guess I’ll pick something up in HK but inspiration letting me down. Any practical ideas greatly appreciated, I am at a loss. Thanks Couple are in late 30s. No Children. Not wealthy by western standards. Very wealthy by Cambodian standards. Some excellent answers. Thanks. Thanks Alda. I have come to expect sound answers from you. Whilst the ceremony will be Buddhist, it will not be the full three day affair thank goodness. So don’t know how practicle it will be. Think I may well buy the books as a standby gift. Otherwise an exceptional answer - thank you. moreResolved Question: Hi - I am travelling to India for a LONG holiday - and want to make some money while i am there...?
