Never buy anything from an unsolicited email. This is the reason spam exist. Everyone hates spam, but someone is buying or they would go away.

moreOpen Question: 3UK HTC Hero Major Issues?
I've been in contract with 3 Mobile since April 2010 and have had a terrible experience within the first 2 - 3 weeks, and is still continuing.
The HTC Hero is such an unreliable phone, it crashes, loses messages, freezes, sync issues and more.
Here is a list of the bug's I keep encountering:
>> Loss of text messages (Intermittent)
>> Freezing during phone calls
>> When making a phone call I get a random error, like "Your service does not allow calls to this number" yet I try again in 5 minutes and it works.
>> Touch screen becomes unresponsive, at random but buttons still work.
>> Mobile Network sharing doesn't work, it'll show on the PC but says cable not connected,
however the phone says "Mobile network is being shared".
>> Loss of audio
>> Bluetooth doesn't allow file transfer, or pair with headsets.
>> Calls go directly to voicemail with full signal (Intermittent)
>> Sometimes crashes during boot, requiring battery removal.
>> Applications, including SenseUI stutter (lag) during use
>> No firmware updates for a long time, making newer apps incompatible.
>> Android Market randomly say "You have no network connection, check your WiFi or Mobile Network settings." yet I've got full connection and if I try again immediately after it works fine.
>> Frequent processes crashing
>> Built in calender, shows reminders on the wrong date
>> Keeps saying "Your sim card does not allow connection to this network" (Intermittent, firmware / phone bug)
>> HTC Sync software cannot be found by the phone, I've tried several PC's / Laptops using the software that was on the SD Card, even downloaded the newer version from HTC Support.
And some more, but I can't remember all of them.
Facts about my phone:
[1] Sent phone into 3 UK Repair Centre
1st Time: They flashed the firmware, to Android 1.5.
2nd Time: They couldn't find a fault, but there was Err !!
3rd Time: They couldn't find a fault again !!! Got annoyed with them.
[NOTE BEFORE 4TH RETURN]
They offered an alternative, and agreed to give me a different model; but instead they returned me a new HTC Hero which I was promised, I wouldn't get the same phone.
[--------------------------------------------]
4th Time: They couldn't fix the issue, and sent me a new HTC Hero.
I want to leave my contract, I'm paying £25.00 a month for a phone which isn't working and is not reliable, the problem is I don't want to pay the cancellation fee's as I'm on a 24 month contract and this is doing my head in.
Also they've failed to credit me, my money back as well; they promised for the time it wasn't working they'd credit my account, they've failed to do this and still charge me each month.
Overall since the first 2 - 3 weeks, issues started become more apparent as I thought it was just me, however these issues are all over the Internet and it is a nightmare; I don't want to root my phone or anything encase I void my only hope of getting out of this contract.
Surely they must be breaking some law, allowing me to terminate my contract without paying; this sort of service is unacceptable, considering they're taking my money for a bodged up phone, and telling me they'll credit my account, and then never do.
I've been going through this now for 4 months and gotten nowhere with them.Forgot to mention, the new HTC Hero (Replacement) they sent, still has the same issues.

i and my family have signed up for sky broadband and it is incredibly slow from about 2-3pm up until about 9-10am in the morning when it runs at a moderate speed, this is really annoying as in play online games with my mates at 7 at night on the ps3 and because my internet is so slow i cant even sign in. has anyone else that is on sky had this problem and is their a way to speed up the connection without changing services, if not what would you reccomend is the best internet service on the market?
moreVoting Question: AT&T or Sprint, Smart Phone or Not?
It's time for us to upgrade and I can't decide if I should or not or should I just switch.
I hate that AT&T has the market but I've been with them forever and can't really complain of the service, just the price. I don't have internet on my phone, only family texting, I really need internet but I hate the cost. I'm afraid of going over their monthly data plan limits but I've heard that it's a lot of space and not easy to go over.
On the other hand, my nephew works for Sprint and offered to get us in on the family deal and Sprint has some nice phones too.
I'm really liking what the iPhone does but am trying to figure out what it has that a Sprint smart phone doesn't have.
So my questions are: What's your opinion on this new AT&T data plan for $25 a month, is it safe or is it easy to use it up and go over?
If you've switched from AT&T to Sprint, did you notice any difference in your reception with Sprint?

moreResolved Question: How google searches.................?
In the beginning the Internet was but a confusing mass of documents. Finding information, by searching the World Wide Web, was nearly impossible until the first search engines came along. Early search engines were like rudimentary life-forms (Remember Yahoo! Search and Alta Vista?).
They got the job done, but as more people gained access to the web, their limitations and dependence on the information that content creators put on so-called meta tags (strings of text that identified the content of the page in the source code) meant that such engines were liable to be abused.
Into this fast-expanding, yet messy space came Google. To cut a long story short, what Google did was organise information a lot better. Instead of depending on the text of a web page to determine the search results, it determined the page's influence using a variety of factors-including how many times a page had been viewed or linked to. From those early days, Google made searching the Internet reliable and over the past decade has grown into the behemoth it is today.
But there is more to the Internet than Google and more to search as well. Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer told BT five years ago that Google was just a flash in the pan, as Microsoft readied its (then) latest search engine. Microsoft did not get too far then, but laid the foundation for an effort that churned out Bing, its search engine launched last year. The engine uses a process similar to Google's 'PageRank' algorithm and gets a boost from technology tailored to throw up relevant results. The result: it has garnered one-fourth market share in the United States.
Google is not standing still. "In the early days, much of the Internet was static, your 'web crawlers' would go out every few days, sometimes even weeks to find information. Today, in the age of Twitter, the Internet happens in 'real time' and we have to reflect that," said Amit Singhal, a Google Fellow, present at the company's recent Science of Search conference in Tokyo.
The way it delivers this is complex: New search technologies look for statistical patterns while determining the importance of one particular tweet message over thousands of others as well as the number of followers the person who wrote that tweet has. Juxtapose the volume of tweets - 2.7 million every hour-and the brute force of the new technology and servers that power it become apparent. That and Google's focus on search helps it stay top dog despite challenges in China (Baidu is No. 1) and Japan (Yahoo! is ahead in popularity).
Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have spoken of their fears of being ousted by a newcomer. That challenge could come in the form of the likes of Wolfram Alpha, which queries a structured database for answers. So, ask it about the 16th President of the United States and it throws up not a link but a page of facts on Abraham Lincoln. The scope of the engine's results is limited given it is still a project in progress. Example: A search for "World Cup" assumes it is a gene and gives you a reference genetic sequence. Still, structured searches are being closely watched.
Elsewhere, to catch up with Google, Microsoft and Yahoo! are touting new contextual search services that give you search results based on the page you are on. For instance, if you are reading about Barack Obama's actions in the Gulf of Mexico BP oil spill, highlighting "Obama" will not do a generic search for Obama but for the US President and the oil spill. This is still a beta (test) service rolled out to a few users.
Google, meanwhile, is also taking search to mobile devices - a trend that its executives underscored at the Tokyo conference. Google's voice search is today enabled on most smartphones. Goggles allows users to take a picture from a mobile phone and gives you a result on the image. Google plans to make both mobile voice and image search faster and is throwing a lot of its engineering resources behind that.
And its needs to. Google's biggest rival here is not Microsoft but Apple whose iPhone is the dominant smartphone platform in terms of mindspace. Apple recently bought Siri, which makes a "mobile personal assistant" application that works through voice commands. Silicon Valley is betting that the "human-computer interface" will increasingly move away from text to voice and images.
The world's top search engine also has on hand projects that revel in the technology they use even if the revenue upsides are not evident. In Tokyo, Alan Eustace, Google's Head of Engineering, talked about a "Universal Communicator", an idea rip-off from the Star Trek series. Here, an application on a smartphone, with the help of machine translation, will be able to translate any language spoken into it and into any other selected. Singhal was even more bullish.
He spoke of a future where all Goo

Over the past decade, critics have claimed that Macrotough Corporation has violated or attempted to violate many antitrust laws. Examine the following five statements. For each statement, indicate (1) the antitrust violation or attempted antitrust violation and (2) what antitrust law was or would have been violated.
1.Macrotough attempted to purchase the stock of its internet services competitor, Yippee. The purchase would have caused the Herfindahl index for the internet services industry to jump over 2500.
2.Macrotough required a customer to purchase its web browser, Pioneer, when buying its Doors operating system. The requirement significantly lessened Macrotough’s competition.
3.Macrotough offered discounts to underpriviledged public schools for the purchase of its Cubicle software. The discounts increased Macrotough’s market share significantly.
4.Macrotough advertised if a company purchased its Cubicle software, annual profitability was guaranteed.
5.Macrotough created a barrier to entry by making it prohibitively expensive for competitors to develop an acceptable alternative to its Doors operating system.
moreVoting Question: Has anyone else heard of open range communications?
This company was given $374 million from the federal gov't to expand broadband coverage into
rural areas unserved by DSL or cable broadband. They started back in 3Q of '09 to start this project.
Trouble is, there website is a joke and there customer service consists of about 3 people who cannot
tell you where they service nor provide anything on their map of where they service. I also received an ad call from the retailer ad looking for sales reps for satellite TV sales i posted on craigslist from a
kid in arkansas who said they were only paying him $20 a sale. The girl in there customer service dept finally told me, after me grilling her for answers, that they service most of there home state of colorado, a small tricket of alabama and one tiny community in arkansas. There plan in there website calls for a 5 year plan to cover 573 communities and 6 million subs. It's been a year and they've acheived maybe 5% according to where the girl told me they covered. Also, the kid who called me upset about them told me that they were down to himself and one other sales rep because
the product was only available in a competitve ISP market where people have been able to get HSI
thru not only the cable company, but DSL thru the telco. So...........It seems now that a company can borrow 1/3 of a billion dollars of funds that our nation doesn't have to be just another ISP in a small town, totally negating the sole purpose of the stimulus funds to bring INTERNET TO UNSERVICED RURAL AREAS. Meanwhile we have a no named company, that you'd have to dig up to find anything about, operating on minuscule overhead creating barely any jobs and not providing
internet access to the proposed target holding 1/3 of a cool billion. BTW, this ingenious technology
is just 4G wimax that's set up on cell phone towers with a 2-3 mile radius. Sound familiar. Clear wimax. Accept they used private funds. Not tax dollars. I guess i don't really have a question folks.
Just wanted to share this info with my fellow taxpayers. Once again, the name of the company is
OPEN RANGE COMMUNICATIONS! in colorado. Please read the entire post and then check out
the company on a google search before commenting if you're going to give a serious response to
my post. Thanks for reading my justifiable rant folks.

moreResolved Question: Are there varying degrees of being "apolitical"? Individuals vs. Organizations?
I am interested in your perspective and for the record I thumb no person down as all have a right to free speech.
If an individual is "non-partison" and considers themselves "apolitical" then often that person can be perceived as being "apathetic" toward politics; but is it correct in assuming that a person who considers themselves as "apolitical" means that he/she doesn't get involved (politically) at some level?
Consider if you will:
Being "non-partisan" is different from being "apolitical" (most would agree); however, at times they can be linked by varying degrees and usually organizations (non-profit types) of various activity will provide this as a statement in some form of marketing (internet or otherwise) in promoting themselves as such (and in reality we know they too need to keep the "lights on" and by expressing this point they are able to gain donations and other involvement that inspires donations and services). An organizaton can be "non-partisan" but this does not mean they are "apolitical"; so to recap:
Can individuals not be considered in the same context but at a much more micro level (from organizations) in being "non-partisan" and also consider themselves "apolitical" without being "apathetic" politically?
Your thoughts and knowledge appreciated in advance.
No concrete right answers - I am looking for detail.Mee Too, thank you for answering. Can you expand upon the first 2/3 of the last paragraph you wrote...you were touching upon an important topic/realm in the regard to the question. I don't disagree with your other points. As an intelligent person that you are I understand your previous points and these are somewhat "in the box". The first 2/3 of the last paragraph you were stepping outside of the box and this is what I want to hear from others..."outside the box".
Will keep the question open for 24 hours (total).
Again, thank you for what you have provided thus far.
Gerry D.Me Too,
you're looking at "apolitical" as being a pure black and white statement here. There are varying shades of gray even within being "apolitical"; similar to Non-Profit and Non-Governmental Organizations (NPOs and NGOs). Again, last paragraph you began to touch upon the topic and "out of the box" I am searching for. Please continue if you can.

moreResolved Question: can you correct me this theme? I'm Italian?
Today new technologies represent the future and the progress of the world, but as all the things they have positive and negative sides and the opinions on this theme they are different.
You orchestrate as the television, internet and the jail cell they are at the base of all the human activities today, without these means today him you/he/she cannot live anymore.
They during the years have assumed fundamental roles and you/they have often replaced objects how first they were of common use.
Internet you/he/she has for example contributed to eliminate the distances, they allow to exchange information in real time, it makes circular opinions, ideas, culture, commodities, services etc, and it is also a mean of liberty and democracy to which all can participate inserting anything without the danger of censorship. Finally it is a mean of integration in which differences of language and culture don't exist.
Among the new technologies there is also the jail cell, that him change and he/she continually renews, arriving to be irreplaceable and more and more efficient today. also it is a mean of communication more and more adopted, above all from the young people that with the messages you/they have replaced the normal communication.
There is then the television that has had the role to entertain since his birth, to civilize, to do culture and to inform the most present citizen making and aware of the social life. in Italy the television has also contributed to the linguistic unity of the country winning the dialects, a wealth from the expressive point of view but few comprehensible out of his/her own confinements.
It develops only also an important social role towards the elderly ones and of the people making company and dissuading all from the common problems.
Certainly not always the programs are educational or intelligent but I are often really garbage.
Among these they are for example there the programs of diversion that often treat stupid and vulgar matters aiming only to the share and the profit. but they are also there interesting programs of culture as documentaries, scientific programs or at times debates are seen on you fear important.
What is important however, according to me, it is not to make any moralism, to have the pretension to establish what correct is for the others, it is to think about possessing the absolute truth, in how much each has the right to see what he/she wants or otherwise to extinguish the television; above all today with the advent of the digital one it is the upsetting increase of a lot of channels.
Besides as it regards television, internet and video games it is often said that they have above all a deleterious role for his/her children and the young people those more sensitive exalting with situated illegal or games or film you imagine of violence, blood and corruption.
Inevitably often so the teen-agers are suited to emulate what they see of negative. but what owes us to worry really it is the why for many young people these means become the only perspective, in how much in the real world they don't find alternatives. it needs to reason therefore on the why these productions cover a big part of the market and to work because there is not has him more, making to rediscover to the young people the taste of the socialization. it is therefore obligation of the families and the adults to educate his/her children to take the correct road and to teach him to judge what is seen without making to be overpowered.
Other fundamental problem of the new technological means is really the isolation of the contemporary man. in fact these technologies alienate us from the reality and they dissuade us from the true relationships that have to exist among the men that are made of dialogue and presence.
To such intention the philosopher Galimberti in an article on the republic says" there was desire of community and not those loneliness of mass, every with his ipod in the ears and with the video of the computer in front of the eyes to communicate, behind a mask with other masks that his/her own identities hide."
In fact these means often represent a mask to hide our true feelings and our true personality.
Therefore I believe that internet and a the other halves have a role by now predominant and useful in our more and more on its way society toward the novelties, but that they don't have to replace the real life and that doesn't have to change the existing values, therefore I believe that they are goes used but always with moderation and doesn't have to arrive instead as you/they are doing to replace feelings and emotions that are unique and precious. it is therefore obligation of the families and the adults to educate his/her children to take the correct road and to teach him to judge what is seen without making to be overpowered.

moreVoting Question: Please help me with my website ideas?
I'm 13. Over the summer, I want to start an online business. I have many ideas, but ive posted the two that struck me the most. I feel these are great ideas, but I'm not sure which one to choose. My goal would be to make six or more figures a year. I know that sounds crazy since I'm only 13, but it's my goal. I would love to become financially independent.
1. My first idea is my favorite. It is a website where users can submit original songs, and other users can listen, rate, comment, share, and chat. There would also be features where users could post info and where bands could find new band members. I would make money from selling ad space, and maybe creating a pro membership with extra features if the site becomes big enough. Some problems I ran into when I was thinking on this idea was not having enough money to create the site. I thought it could cost $100,000 to have a web design firm create the site. Then i realized my cousin has been at RIT majoring in web design and programming for 2 years. I asked him, and he said he would be happy to build the site. Althoguh he may not be a professional, this site that he builds could be a "beta" launch, and money I make from it, I would reinvest into the site. My grandparents also called me yesterday saying they would love to give me money for marketing.
Idea 1 Overview
Target Customer: musicians, artists, independent artists, songwriters, record producers.
Revenue: ad space, pro membership
Variable Costs: websit matinence, domain, hosting, marketing
Type of business: online business, online company, internet business, Internet company, small business, service business, social network site, online community.
2. My second idea is quite simple. I would create a basic website with storefront capability, and sell musical instruments such as guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, dj, mixers, lighting. I would buy the products from a wholesale/dropship company. Vthey would dropship the items when I give them the order details. I would price competitively but price to make a nice profit.
Target customer: musicians, bands, artists, guitarists, djs, keyboardists, record producers, drummers, bassists.
Revenue: ads on site, selling products
Costs: website, website matinence, domain, hosting, wholesale products, marketing
Type of business: online business, retail, ecommerce.
Idea 3. This would be a website where users can store photos and or data on a secure digital storage site. It would cost users 4.49 a month and they get a certain amount of storage. My cousin would program the site. I would also have great security features for customers. This is a new idea and I know I would be competing with brands such as mozy, photo bucket, etc, but I feel I can start small and build up a better brand name.

Overall, I love the first idea and the third.. Which idea should I do? Which idea is more profitable? Even if you don't like either, please choose the one of the above if you had to choose. I have been going to a Business Camp at my school and I enjoy it.

moreResolved Question: iPhone 4, T-Mobile, O2, Orange or Vodafone?
I've used a Nokia N96 for the duration of it's 18-month contract with T-Mobile. I want to get an iPhone 4 and intended to move to either O2, Vodafone or Orange for this, with my preference leaning towards O2 as i get the impression their mobile internet coverage. Firstly, is this true? I understand 02 offer use of BTOpenzone and 'The Cloud' WiFi, do other networks do this?
Secondly. I've heard that some networks are now capping the use of their mobile internet, despite it being marketed a 'unlimited'. Which are doing this and what are the conditions?
Lastly, i see T-Mobile are going to be offering the iPhone 4. My experience with T-Mobile has been relatively good, however the mobile internet service has been awful and i've stopped even trying to use it. I don't know if this is down to coverage or the Nokia N96 phone i use. Am i likely to see an equivalent service using the iPhone 4 on T-Mobile as on other networks?
Any help with these issues is appreciated.
Thanks.
moreResolved Question: How to promote training courses on survival in the Amazon, a river cruiser and a travel agency in Internet?
I need to promote four (4) specialized products and I require advice from people with experience in online marketing and those people that are responsible for the area of promotion, marketing or sales of travel agencies and tourism companies that offer survival courses and cruises. This company is located in Iquitos, an exotic city in the middle of the Peruvian Amazon, one of the least explored and most bio-diverse area in the world. The products I have to help to promote are:
1. Training courses on survival in the Amazon jungle, for companies or adventure travelers.
2. Visits to remote indigenous communities that preserve their customs, for anyone interested.
3. Research or study trips in the Peruvian Amazon, for researchers, students and anyone interested.
4. Travel by river cruises along the Amazon river and tributaries or cruises in Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve (the largest reserve in the floodable Amazon jungle in South America).
These are quality products. The company respect and teach the travelers to respect the nature. They take medical help or supplies to river communities and indigenous tribes they visit. Trips are designed to understand the nature and their ecosystems.
This company works with professional and specialized staff as naturalists and, in case of survival training courses, with instructors of the Air Force.
The company weakness is the international promotion and that is my challenge.
I have had successful experiences in promoting hotels. But I never promoted this type of product. Therefore, I have several questions:
A. Where or in what ways should I promote these four products?
B. What websites, especially free of charge, you known to promote these products? In hotels, for example, there are sites like Tripadvisor and others.
C. Do you know websites and forums that are focused on "selling" the four travel products I have?
D. What social networks focused on these products are available? I know that there are Facebook, Twiter, Flirck, but, do you know any social network for adventure travelers or interested in this kind of trips?
E. I was considering using the Lonely Planet, Viajeros and Losviajeros forums. Do you know others forums or specialized forums? Regardless of language.
F. Does anyone could help me with the contact details of publishers of travel guides (Lonely, Frommers, Footprints, etc.)?
G. I was thinking in contact with TV and film producers or film makers to promote the services of the company and be a strategic partners for films in the Amazon. Where and how I may contact with big producers companies as Discovery, NatGeo, BBC, etc., and with small producers?
Do you have any other recommendation?

Is the kettle calling the Pan over Monopolization
The worlds biggest computer operating systems software company that controls what operating system is installed on all consumer computers has reported Google to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) for it's Monopolization of the Internet, Though the reporter would have you believe that this company has 92% of the world market. Which is false, it has dropped dramatically over this last couple of years with Mac and Linux gaining users on a daily basses
Read the report. http://isedb.com/20100603-3677.php
My thoughts on this are. If Google have got the monopoly of the Internet, then that is by freedom of choice by the consumers of the Internet, No one is forcing them to use Google's Services, We don't have the same freedom of choice for Operating systems when we buy our computers do we,Lawn Gnome which goodwill store do you visit? the one I visit is selling old Dell's 386 AT's at $179 bucks
Now go in BB and find out if you can get one without windows 7

moreVoting Question: Recovering money from Comcast and small claims?
Ok, so basically Comcast cable internet is complete garbage and I am getting rid of them.
They have been charging me $5/mo for a modem the past 3 years that I told them I did not want and have never had; I bought my own modem. Not only that, but the customer service is so completely incompetent that it makes me wonder how they even stay afloat. Also, the internet doesn't work about 30% of the time (no joke). Yeah, I'm dumb I know for not noticing the charges and dealing with their lack of service for so long, but whatever. The bandwidth I get when it is working was too appealing.
I am obviously entitled to the money back for the modem I never had, but what about the money I've paid, 42.95 a month, when it only works about 25.77 of the time? Not to mention that I am also a day trader and have lost some money from not being able to get out of a stock because the internet is not working.
If I took them to small claims court would I be able to recover the amount of money the internet wasn't working (about 618.48) and maybe even the losses in the market they have caused me?

moreResolved Question: Do you think the internet is evolving to more openness/neutrality or less so?
I had a discussion today about this with some of my colleagues and some seem to think the internet is becoming more "controlled" or will be so in the future. This kind of made me a little worried. The internet and what governs it today is the best in my opinion. The internet certainly will evolve technologically but will that evolution bring more openness and connection like it has or more control.
For example, the internet at least in the US is controlled but a few large ISP's of ISP's ect. and a lot of those ISP's are pushing to control bandwidth, restrict services, give preferences to certain websites over others because they are richer and can pay more ect which would crush smaller businesses ect. and have customers pay by how much they download (like a utility) rather than a monthly cost (what it is today).
I'm not anti-capitalism and am actually for free market, but this would be capitalism at it's worse. I'm an advocate for open anything and think any real evolution and progress must be made in unity, not exclusivity and elitism ruled by how much money you can pay.
What are your thoughts?

moreResolved Question: Start-up non-profit seeks advice on what start up budget should be.?
Hello, I am in the process of writing a business plan for a Non-profit organization that is in its start up stages. We are still preparing to file our 1023, and this business plan has already helped us narrow down exactly what we are going to do. I averaged the average number of people that visited the park, per month, over the last three years. Our season will run from March till October, so those are the only months that I did the average number of attendance, per month, over a 3-year span. Once I got the average number for each month I multiplied that by .209, which is the percent of people who have a very strong interest in doing what we have to offer. Then, I took that number and multiplied it by .005. I figured that we would be able to capture (.005) half a percent of people who have a very strong interest in participating in our tours. Is that a safe enough number or should I go lower? Then, the next two years I added a (.0025) quarter of a percent more, each year, of additional guest we would attract in combination with a marketing plan to raise awareness. I can start operating on a small level for not a lot of capital; the amount that I forecasted for the 3 years of operation was right around $600,000. What would be a good percent to stay under for start cost? From an investment point what would be a good amount for start up cost? I know that there are a lot of different variables that come into play in a question like that, so I will provide some info that I think you might need.
Office space and storage for equipment will cost around $36,000 for the 3 years.
Utilities (phone, internet, power, and garbage) around $10,800 for 3 years
First year salaries $86,000
Second year salaries $118,500
Third year salaries $139,500
Total over 3 years $344,000
Marketing $20,288 for 3 years (rack card service and other marketing).
Other stuff like fuel, maintenance, insurance, and other misc. $102,500
Total $513,588
And the total amount I forecasted for those three years was $611,800.
Thank you so much for your time.
moreVoting Question: What MOS is best for the civilian world after the Army?
I am considering joining the Army but I am not completely sure what MOS I want to go into to. My main concern is what I will do after I get out of the service. I am currently looking at 91F (Small Arms/Artillery Repairer, I have a love for guns) and 15U since I have heard that the job market for a helicopter mechanic is pretty decent and I have an interest in choppers. Are there any other MOS I should look in to? I've been to the recruiter, but they weren't any help at all. They just wanted me to sign up for a combat MOS and didn't tell me much about my opportunities as a 91F or 15U so I have turned to the internet to help enlighten me.

moreResolved Question: Wireless router Upgrade Help?
Hi,
I am in the market for a new wireless router. If anyone could recommend me the best or one of the best wireless routers out there that would be appreciated. I have heard of brief things such as dual band and etc. I heard the AIRPORT express was good , but didn't offer enough Ports of some sort.
Currently i have a older Linksys Wireless G router. On my Network i have a desktop, 2 Laptops one a macbook, the other windows laptops both with wireless N cards built inside.
Along with the laptops i have a PS3 that connects wireless, and a wireless hardrive.
Whenever i try to stream music from the wireless hard-drive i can easily say that it takes a bit of time to access and play the music or files from my laptop.
Also in about a week or so i am getting cable. They advertise up to 15Mbps.
Currently i have up to 3Mbps with DSL. Do you think my current router will bottle neck the speed i receive on my wireless devices?
Also can anyone please explain to me how you can determine the speed you will download at based on the Internet service providers claim?
How many KB/SEC can i expect to download if advertised speed is 15Mbps.
Also how does the relation work with routers. As new ones i have noticed claim 300Mbps with wireless N technology, and wireless G is 54Mbps.
Thank you!Thank you. So each and every router should i always assume real throughput should be half of what they claim?
So 300Mbps router i should expect real throughput to be 150Mbps. Which would be a lot of extra room for the router to handle a faster connection.
Also how did you figure out the KB/SEC with a steady connection of 15Mbps. Do you divide anything.
Thank you and if anyone can recommend Excellent routers with Dual band.
moreResolved Question: why is it that certain internet service providers charge a ton of money for high speed internet? when will?
the prices go down assuming that they ever will? if the market is that competitive shouldnt isp's be offering more lower prices than high ones? earthlink is the only cable/dsl in my area because everyone else is satellite/wireless..... could it be because of this??? i can afford it but it still kind of pricy at 50 a month assuming that i would use it to work from home. can an internet guide tell me why they would charge a lot for their service???
moreVoting Question: Getting clients for a start-up....?
I have a few clients that I have been helping on the side with internet marketing, seo, etc. One client is an attorney and the other is a direct mail company, neither of them are local to my home office. My hope is to go full time with this type of consulting but am unsure what type of clients to pursue (dentists, doctors, attorneys, mortgage brokers?)? How to pursue them (cold calls, email, etc.)? Any advice? Who needs this type of service?
moreResolved Question: Anyone realise how much we're being monitored?
Commercially speaking, Facebook, Twitter and even Yahoo Answers are being monitored by consumer brands. Facebook has the new 'Like' button which allows companies like Coca-Cola, Kit-Kat and Adidas to see what's popular amongst certain demographic. I woke up this morning to see Yahoo Answers having sealed a partnership with Purina, the pet food franchise, and all I can think to myself is that Purina are using this service as cheap market research. Our ISP can see everything we search over the internet, our workplace has every website visited, and if connected to a local network can actually take control of our computers. CCTV denies us any privacy, there are 150 CCTV cameras from where I live to my main shopping complex and it's impossible to leave your house without appearing on it.
Do you think we're being monitored too closely? Do you think that we are being observed for our own safety?
moreResolved Question: Which prepaid plan makes the most sense?
Okay I am in the market for a new phone and a 3G broadband connection. I am not interested in phones with 2 year contracts so I decided that I would go with either Boost Mobile or Cricket. I want the Boost Mobile Blackberry 8330, and it is $250 to purchase, and $60 a month for unlimited everything ( I also need a broadband connection to share the internet with my laptop and i'm not sure if the phone can do so).
My second choice is the combination of the Cricket Messenger II ( $129 to get, $40 a month for unlimited talk and text plus long distance) and the Cricket Broadband modem ( $75 to get, $40 a month for *unlimited* (5GB) 3G broadband internet. Totals $204, as the first month of service per device is free.
Could someone who knows about cell phone plans please point me in the right and most useful direction so I can decide which is best for me? Thanks to all who help me!!!
