Resolved Question: New car buying question?
When buying a new car is there a difference between the internet price they advertise online and the sticker price when you get to the dealership? The internet price also shows an MSRP. Is the MSRP going to be the sticker price when I get to the dealership? And if so why do dealers give two different prices? moreResolved Question: Is this a puppy scam?
I found a post advertising a 11 month old maltese on pennysaverusa.com and while on the post it said they were in my hometown but when i emailed them, i found out they were in Africa. Her name is Carole Bright. She had many questions in how my house is like, how i would treat the puppy and if i would be a good owner. She says the maltese is 11 months old and weighs 1.6 lbs. She wants weekly pictures and she says she's giving it away because her daughter's moving. She says she lives at commercial 034 Yaounde Cameroon. The dog is for sale for $150 for everything, including her bed, toys and accessories. She'll pay for the shipping because she says she wants to get the dog to me as soon as possible. Also, when i went back to the site, her ad was gone even though she had about 5 more dogs to sell. She had pictures as well but she could have took them off the internet. She seems to be trustworthy but what's throwing me off is the price and the place. I'm a first time dog owner so i'm not sure. Is this a scam? moreVoting Question: How much should I charge?
I do under the table work consulting a small spa business. I do up ads, flyers, brochures, give her marketing advice, and advertise on the internet. I never know what to charge her, and usually end up getting $20 per job. Is this adequate? She tells me to set a price, but I just don't know what to charge. I don't really have any overhead costs, or travel time to get there because I work in the same building as her Spa, and usually end up doing stuff for her there. Any thoughts? Thanks. moreResolved Question: Why so much disdain for the American Bully?
Today I was browsing internet material on American Bullies and I was shocked to find so much negativity on the breed. At first it was hard not to take offense, as i've been breeding American Bullies for almost 7 years now. Some of the things that were said about the breed I felt were downright cruel, and I thought that the overall conception of the breed had been lost somewhere along the way. As I read more, and also talked to a few of my long-time frieds/partners in bully breeding, we realized that its really the people (once again) making the breed look bad. It truly did not take long for this to happen as the breed (if you so choose to consider it as a recogized breed as many readers will already disagree) is only 20 years old approx. I think that the root of the evil here is greed. As with many "new" things, there will always be the Jones' that have to have what's hot, what everyone is talking about. Whether you appreciate the image of the American Bully or not, its undeniably an eye-catching animal and no doubt a conversation starter. When I walk my dogs I never make it back home without at least a couple compliments or questions, usually what i feed him/her to get them that bulky. With this surge of popuarity came outrageously inflated prices of puppies, which in turn put dollar-signs in the eyes of many get-rich-quick'ers. It seems like everyone who buys a Bully is a "Kennel" now, and there's the problem. Bullies, and bare with me here so i can get back to my point, are not "mutts" as i've read time and time again today. Bullies were created by selective breedings of APBT's and AmStaff's. Has there been "breeders" who mixed in Mastiff? Yes, there has. Have "breeders" mixed in Bulldog? Yes, some have. But I would have to call those particular "breeders" the problem, and those particular "bullies" the mutts. They are mixed breed, if you will; bully/mastiff mix, bully/bulldog mix. The thing that really cut deep for me today was that Pit Bull enthusiasts were the ones badgering the bully. Pit Bull lovers know more than any other dog lover what it is like to be on the sharp end of the bad-wrap stick when people are poking it at thier beloved pets. Please understand, real bully breeders are breeding bullies not deformed pit bulls. I love the APBT they are a beautiful and noble breed. Bullies are different, and were created to be different. Going back to the people who are making us Bully breeders look bad, i read a comment about a guy walking his APBT and being told by a bully owner that his dog would easily kill that guy's pit. Ridiculous. That guy, and others like him, deserve all the bashing you can throw their way, but don't slander the poor dog he was walking. Bullies are far from agressive and you'd be hard pressed to get one to engauge if you wanted to. As for their physical health and "poor development" as i've read, my dogs and those bred by my counterparts are in remarkable condition internally as well as externally and are held in very high regard by veternarians in my area. I take all my dogs for regular check-ups and they always come back fantastic, even with their short muzzles, stalky legs, and deep chests. If I were ever to have a pup with a deformality, which all breeds (and species, even human) have on occasion, i surely would not consider that dog a candidate for future breeding, as no responsible breeder should. We carefully examine our dogs for bites, easty-westy fronts, high rears, even kink-tails. By the way, i'm not going to reveal my Kennel or advertise any dogs for sale, please don't take this as a sales pitch by any means. I am truly here to promote the positive side of my breed and I hope that my efforts here are at least appreciated by those who have been doing it for the APBT for decades upon decades. One other thing that bothered me quite a bit was people saying that the bully "serves no purpose". what do you mean? Someone mentioned that they are bred as pets but serve no real purpose. The Bully, cooincidently, was bred to be the ultimate family companion dog. I won't get far into that as it can be read in the first few results you get from google'ing american bully. I understand there are working dogs, but not all dogs are working dogs. A St. Bernard is an incredibly capable creature and a tremendous working dog, but not if it's owned by someone in southern california, correct? That's not a bash on any St. Bernard owners in San Diego, I'm merely saying dogs that are domesticated, are domesticated...they're pets. The APBT and AmStaff mix was carefully chosen to bring together all of the wonderful characteristics of these two great breeds. The result was a remarkable companion dog, and there is your purpose in hand. If you have a working dog and you use it for moreResolved Question: Can u tell me are there mistakes in this letter? If so, can u correct them for me? Thank u: "Dear Mr.Cumino,?
Dear Mr.Cumino, I participated in the meeting last week. At the meeting, there are some solving Caferoma's problems. I agree with two methods to solve problem. Firstly., I think you should focus to develop a new advertising campain to relaunch the brand. Because we need that everyone should know about our product. More cheaper almost every other ground coffee products on the market. In addition, we can advertise on newspapers, TV, Internet........ Finally, we need decrease the price from 20% to 25% with conformable prices for everyone because the product price is too high recently as compared with similar product coffee on the market. I think after we make the price lower, our selling number will increase highly. Best Regards. Jolie Belle moreResolved Question: Best laptop for simple work, Internet use and fast processor?

does the company have to honor it? moreVoting Question: Seen UK top 5 broadband rip-offs? & how best to deal with 'em? What do you think is the best deal? How 2 beat?
I put this in Politics as Govt promise to roll out superfast broadband Is there a corrupt angle? UK's top broadband rip-offs, together with a few ideas on how you can combat them. 1) Super-fast broadband You might think super-fast broadband sounds amazing. Lightning-fast deals via next-generation fibre technology allow you to surf the net at more than 5 times the usual speed (50Mb). Unfortunately, however, super-fast broadband generally comes with a much higher price tag than packages with standard connection speeds. And I think, at £40 a month, providers are ripping us off - especially when you take into account a 8Mb package with a 10GB usage limit can cost less than £6 a month. The fact is, unless you need faster speeds for things like watching internet TV or downloading HD movies regularly, these packages probably have far greater capability than you really need. If you're not a heavy user, paying the higher monthly cost is a waste of money, frankly. 2) Restrictions on download limits Many broadband providers boast of unlimited download limits, only to accompany these bold statements with a little asterisk which, on closer inspection directs you to a fair use policy that restricts the amount you can actually download. Fair use policies are often a get out of jail free card for providers which advertise unlimited download limits, only to impose penalties or other restrictions if you exceed a certain threshold. And, to make things even more complicated, finding out about your own download habits can sometimes feel like trying to break into Fort Knox. For example, when I called my own provider to ask them about my usage, I was only told that I ‘need not worry'. This ambiguous phrasing may make little difference in my case, but in some circumstances you'll only realise you've exceeded your fair usage limit when you get a warning from your provider – or worse, when a hefty bill lands on your doormat. If you want to gauge your surfing habits, this data usage calculator from Virgin is a nifty tool which will give you an idea of your own monthly usage, which you can then use to get the best plan for you. Alternatively, providers Be and O2 offer super-fast broadband with truly unlimited download limits. 3) Broadband without a landline. If you move into a property without a BT landline in place, it will cost you £124.99 to connect yourself to the outside world, plus £10.50 a month in line rental, unless you commit to an 18-month contract. If you don't fancy forking out all this just to get connected, one alternative is Virgin media which, providing you live in a cabled area, will connect you without the need for a BT line (£30 connection fee applies). In addition, some providers such as Tiscali make use of local loop unbundling (LLU) to bypass BT and offer inclusive line rental. LLU enables ‘local loops' (or put simply, the cable through which you receive your broadband) to be freed up so other providers can design their own broadband packages to provide alternative, and often cheaper services. The third way you can get connected to the internet without the need for a BT landline is via a dongle . Dongles provide a convenient way of getting online, though from experience provide much slower download speeds than conventional broadband. Check out my latest article on dongles . 4) Tag on the line This is one of the sneakiest ways broadband providers can stop you from switching easily. They put what's known as a 'tag' on your line, which is difficult to remove. When you run into trouble, they often point the finger at your landline provider, who then points the finger back at the broadband provider, and so on. What many people don't realise is that you have to talk to the provider you want to switch to and ask them to remove it. Luckily, Broadband Choices offers a handy list of numbers on its website to contact with regards to having a tag on your line. 5) Long contract terms Last but not least, contract lengths for broadband, and indeed your mobile phone are slowly creeping up, and these days you'll often have to sign an 18 and sometimes a 24 month contract in order to secure the best deals. However, there is light at the end of the broadband tunnel, and if you don't want to be tied into a lengthy contract, you could always opt for a provider which doesn't impose one. For example, you can now get one-month only contracts from providers like Plusnet and Zen, which enable you to switch at any time. Obviously, your broadband service is unlikely to be 100% perfect, 100% of the time, but hopefully these small tips will help you on your way to a smoother surfing experience. My fiance ordered a copy of p90x for considerably lower than the Beach Body advertised price while I was away on a business trip recently. She's not really internet savvy, and things have been suspicious with the confirmation emails and order tracking, so I'm starting to believe that she got scammed. Has anyone used www.p90xusaretails.net to order beach body products? The site looks like it's a cut and paste job of the beach body site, our confirmation emails were addressed to a totally different person and address, the response emails were closed "thanks, Traci", and their FAQ's section claims "track your order at any time with our purchase tracking page", which doesn't exist. Has anyone used this site? I'm considering calling the card company in the morning to cancel payment and freeze the card.Oh, and that first response reminds me... Their "Contact us" and "About us" pages on their website both lead to the same page saying "if you have any questions contact us at p90xofficial@gmail.com if you need any help." So it sounds pretty hokey. No phone number, plus a gmail email addy, and using "any" twice in a sentence. At this point I'm praying it's someone working out of their garage buying copies off ebay and reselling at slightly off retail price, but I'm still planning to contact our credit card company. moreResolved Question: suggestions for a good camera mobile( preferably nokia/samsung)phone priced around Rs 5000/-?

My partner and I came across this guy selling his company (he was advertising on the internet). We were interested in buying so we contacted him to inquire about the sale. He gave us the price he wanted and some general info, but wouldn't disclose much about the financials. So we said we wanted to come by and personally check out the business and asked for his contact number to discuss further details... to which he never responded. It's now been 3 days with no response from this guy, and we're starting to wonder if something was up with this sale to begin with cause things just aren't adding up. Part II You are going to buy a car that will need to be financed. You will need to look at different options and decide which will be the best choice for your situation. You will need to find a car on the internet that you want to purchase. •Find an advertisement for a car that you would like to purchase. •You can look at any internet site, but you might consider: http://www.edmunds.com to learn how the advertised prices compare with market prices generally for cars of the same make, model and year. •Once you have found the automobile you want to purchase and determined how much you will be spending on the car, you need to calculate the monthly payments. Use the amortization calculator at http://www.bretwhissel.net/cgi-bin/amortize to calculate the monthly payments. •Calculate the monthly payment for your car for each option given below and complete the table. Loan |Interest Rate|Length in Years 1---------5%--------------------5 2--------7.5%-----------------3 3--------9.99%--------------4.5 4--------11.5%--------------2.5 5--------18%------------------4 So first I went to edmunds and found the car i wanted which cost $36, 050 then i went to her amortization calculator link, to find the monthly payments for my car using her information from the chart she provided. the calculator gave me the following which i added to the chart to complete it. Monthly Payment | Amortization Interest $ 1,359.22--------------------$ 416.68 $ 2,220.12--------------------$ 625.01 $ 1,779.69--------------------$ 832.51 $ 2,818.26--------------------$ 958.34 $ 2,426.94--------------------$ 1,500.01 then it asks: 1. Make a decision as to which Loan # is the best option. Explain your reasoning. 2. Think about what situations would make you decide NOT to take the Loan with the following criteria: •Lowest interest rate •Smallest monthly payment •Shortest time and this is EXACTLY what she asked and how i came about my previous question. please help i am SO frustrated and confused. moreResolved Question: Questions about the Motorola Droid - Verizon?

I read the contract before signing which put the purchase price for $9175. They then tell me that the internet price was actually the price minus the down payment ie the amount financed. The actual price was over $9000. The said there was a disclaimer on the page. The disclaimer read something like the "internet price" represents the price when paid in cash in full. It's supposed to be a feature article.. i think it sucks ...and i think my english teacher is going to despise it too. here it is:Stop Commercialism now How many times have you surfed on the internet and not found yourself to come across many ads that have popped up on the page you were on or are on? Many advertisers are profiting from what reels us in, which are these many ads you hear or see on the TV, radio, internet, etc. All in all, it’s a two-sided affair. Say you are just checking your email and you see a thousand emails. Possibly, half of those are spam from those penny-pinchers out to get you and your money. So what should you do about this? Well, you have one of two options being the check all and delete button or moving all that unnecessary junk to the spam folder where it belongs and needs to stay. Commercialism is vastly becoming a problem not a success as many assume it to be. Studies show that 67% of teens buy items online and 37% of children do. Commercialism attacks the adolescent ages because they figure we are susceptible to any commerce that they are willing to throw at us. Also, many individuals assume this to be a more convenient way of purchasing anything and it being a faster way. That may be, but how do you know you are actually getting what you paid for? You’re wasting your precious time behind a glass screen. Purchase the more effective way, by going out into stores and getting what you need. Many politicians use commerce for their campaigns. You know those TV ads that always contradict that you need to vote for so and so for president instead of the other guy because he did whatever? This is a way of a scam to get money out of your pockets and into their hands. These ads are the ones that are appealing to hear or see, just an easier way to pull you in. Commercialism also costs too much money. Most of which is probably our tax dollars. The price goes up for a product if realized that it makes a certain individual sustain a cool image by using it or buying it. Many of these can be misleading, so any time you are gullible to believe one you are giving away money that could be used for something more important. Advertising takes up a lot of one’s time. We only have one life to live right? The average American spends at least 60 minutes reading, hearing or even watching ads on the television, radio, in magazines, etc. By the time that person comes of old age, 4 years of their life will be basically deducted away from under their feet. Some say that we are immune, too smart, and too savvy to fall for such. If so were true, we wouldn’t know so much of certain brand names, dress a certain way, buy the foods we eat, and our lives wouldn’t mirror the ads around us. In addition to that, we wouldn’t need pop-up blockers, virus protection programs, and firewalls to save us from all this commerce. So ask yourself this, are we really immune to what we see on the TV, hear on the radio, etc? If we really were, we wouldn’t feel the vanity of using these things to get a better self-image to fit in with the way society portrays us to be, which is all the same. It’s kind of a win-win situation at its best, honestly and ironically enough. On the contrary, you are helping yourself out somewhat the same way you are helping out these phony ads. Sure ads can help us out by providing vital information to us consumers, but there is way too much that we are exposed to. Ads can hide the fact of caring for each other, the environment, and the community. Many ads give off a bad message to viewers. Such as smoking meaning you are different in a good way than everyone else, you’re only cool if you drive a pricey car, and also making us think that you have to be mature to drink. These messages can cause conflict in families because they could or can influence the way a person in that family thinks. This could cause friction because of the choices that family member made due to the advertisement. In that case, who’s to blame here? It all depends on the situation. To blame for 90% of it would be the advertisement because it provoked them to make such a decision and the other 10% being lack of poor judgment and self-esteem that was made better by the advertisement. So for all this in mind, why do we really need commercialism anywhere? To pay the bills, to help finances, to help make it an easier, better, more convenient way to make purchases? All it does is cause problems. What does it really help? You’re not really earning anything but helping the advertiser earn your trust and money. So next time you fall for one of these, think of all the consequences that won’t cushion your fall. Whenever you see a pop-up that pops up on your screen, click the x button at the top right, whenever you see any junk email click the delete all button, whenever you hear an ad on the TV, radio, or any electronic device turn it off and read a book not a magazine, instead. You can do many things to avo moreResolved Question: "Dollie Walsh". Who's "connected" with her on Yahoo?
Out of the blue, I received an email, apparently from a startlingly attractive woman, who I'd never met before even through others, who wanted to Connect with me on Yahoo. The email was from somebody called "Dollie Walsh" who completely out of the blue wanted to Connect and be my friend, The picture with the email showed an impossibly attractive woman, like Katie Price with more style and a sense of restraint, and I suppose the sensible thing to do would have been to delete the wretched thing without comment or reply. But no, I had to be clever, so I replied with "OK, excuse my cynicism here, but people who look like that generally don't need to make friends via the Internet. My AV is the best I can get and I have no fears of being hyped or scammed, so I look forward to the next move - who knows, Dollie might turn out to be a living breathing human (but one who has adopted a very flattering avatar, as I'm sure we all have done in one sense or another? ) in which case I welcome sombody who appears to appreciate my poor efforts on YahooAnswers!" Silly, as I'd just advertised the fact I had a live email address. So far nothing horrible's happened - I half-expect my email address to be bunged up with all sorts of $hit - but "Dollie" has replied to tell me how much she likes my avatar, my profile, my sense of humour, et c, and just coincidentally she'll be in "Manchester, England" this weekend if we want to meet... I sense one enormous scam here, esp. as her email contained links to a sex-dating site which I suspect might be a front for prostitution. So Muggins here turns up at the date, discovers the lady's clock has been running since six and I already owe her several hundred, I protest that was not part of the deal, then two large blokes loom up behind me to say "Oh yes it is!" ,and enforce payment... I also note "Dolly" has made 106 online friends, mainly male, so I wonder if anyone else's experience is the same as mine? Anyone willing to come out? BTW, I have Googled on the name "Dollie Walsh" and it appears, without exception, to belong to several ordinary ladies in their fifties and sixties living on the east coast USA, who live blameless, even exemplary, lives - as teachers, elderly care workers, social workers, et c - and I suspect it has been chosen/stolen because it projects that sort of "trust me" solidity and reliability. Nobody under seventy in Britain calls herself "Dolly", anyway. And both the genuine Dollty Walshes and the women on the prostitution site appear to be clustered in the North-Eastern USA, around Pensylvania and New England. How do I report this to Yahoo, as it stinks a mile high - something not right or proper is happening here. moreResolved Question: my charter bundle special contract is ending. The arcade 1 they are advertising is 199 but has a smaller hard drive. I will probably play a max of 3 games on it since i have a busy life, that is my reason for waiting til the price dropped. The other option was the elite that is 299 comes with 2 sorry games so that is NOT a plus for me. It does however come with some sort of internet connection that is required. Does the xbox connect to my wireless internet automatically or how will it connect. or do i need to connect direct? I am pretty new to this as you can see. Give me your opinion. I started an online consignment business about 8 months ago. I have a pretty large inventory with new additions daily. Everything is priced well and shipping is cheap. I have been getting roughly 150 new visitors a week based on my counters. I am currently making the site go directly into the store instead of a homepage to make it more "store" based. I was wanting to shop online and then I found these websites: http://www.oemluck.com/ http://www.myuzy.com/ and http://www.mkucool.com http://www.szpopbuy.com I don't know if it is, since I received an e-mail from my friend's email a couple of days ago -- but in the e-mail it was advertising the websites above. At first I thought he was suggesting that I check out the website, but when I asked him about it, he said he never sent any e-mail to me. How do I find out if it's real or scam? I mean -- there's a live help on one of those websites and I have talked with them instantly before. They told me about the shipping price and stuff. One week ago I purchased a car from an auto dealer 3 hours away from me. I drove to the dealership to drive the car and have it inspected. The dealership and I agreed on a price. I am paying in cash and needed to move some money around, so they took $500 from me to hold the car and asked me to write a check for the remainder of what I owe on it, and then as soon as I receive the money that's getting moved around I will call them to drop the check and the deal will be done and I will then pick up the car. Here's the thing that's bugging me.....I found the car on the internet. I found it on a popular car website and it was also on the dealership's website. Even though I have supposedly purchased this car and signed all the paperwork, why are they still advertising it? I had a friend of mine email the dealership under her name and ask if the car was still available, and they told her it was. They even offered to let her test drive it. And this is all after I have supposedly bought it. Now I understand that they do not actually have the money in their hands yet; they only have $500 down from me. But the sales guy told me that would take it off the market. I actually understand their point of view if they want to wait to have all the money in their hands; what I DO NOT like is being bulls***ed and told that the car is off the market when they are still marketing it. Is this shady,or is this something all auto dealers do? I did extensive research on this dealership, and they are pretty reputable. This is not some bad neighborhood, buy here-pay here type of place.LOL! Just read first response. Didn't know that; this is the reason I posted on Yahoo Answers. Okay, good. Sounds reassuring. P.S. Haven't smoked weed in 15 years. It's age and bad experiences that make me paranoid, not drugs! LOL :) moreResolved Question: Why can't Medicare control it's own costs?
According to Medicare's own auditors, it overpays for almost everything it buys. And it does so knowingly. -- $7,215 to rent an oxygen concentrator, when the purchase price is $600. -- $4,018 for a standard wheelchair, while the private sector pays $1,048. -- $1,825 for a hospital bed, compared to an Internet price of $1,071. -- $3,335 for a respiratory pump, versus an advertised price of $1,987. -- $82 for a diabetic supply kit, instead of a $47 price on the Web. So last year (under the Bush administration) the Health and Human Services Department determined that Medicare could save $1 billion in a single year nationwide, if it replaced its fixed-price fee schedule with a competitive bidding program. But here's where Congress comes in. Congressmen Fortney "Pete" Stark and Dave Camp introduced legislation that essentially killed any chances of these changes coming to pass. So the competitive bidding programs were deferred. End of story. And you don't think these kinds of shenanigans and politics won't happen every day when the government gets a hold of your healthcare? moreResolved Question: Is this why government run healthcare will never be less expensive?
From wheelchairs and walkers to orthopedic shoes and needles, Medicare buys tens of thousands of products every day for elderly Americans. And as the single largest buyer of medical products, you'd think it would at leastget a volume discount. But it doesn't. In fact, Medicare doesn't even get the best price. According to their own auditors, Medicare knowingly overpays for almost everything it buys. Examples include: -- $7,215 to rent an oxygen concentrator, when the purchase price is $600. Last year, the Health and Human Services Department tried to replace its archaic fixed-price fee schedule for 10 commonly purchased products with a competitive bidding program in 10 cities. The department said the program could save Medicare $125 million in a single year, or $1 billion if adopted nationwide. But Congress stepped in to stop it. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/10/05/tracking-taxes-medicare-waste/"There were products that we had as much as 75 percent savings. The average was 29 percent," said Mike Leavitt, the former HHS secretary who oversaw the program. "It would have saved billions if we could've actually implemented it, but Congress deferred it. In Washington speak, that means we put it off forever," he said. Leavitt blames Congressmen Pete Stark (D-Calif.) and Dave Camp (R-Mich.) for introducing legislation that terminated the contracts and postponed the program for 18 months. Leavitt says the congressional intervention helps explain why many are suspicious of claims that Washington can cut enough waste to actually pay for health care reform, as President Obama told a joint session of Congress last month. "Reducing the waste and inefficiency in Medicare and Medicaid will pay for most of this plan," Leavitt said. "The problem here is one man's waste is another man's living, and whenever there is an effort put forward to actually make an efficiency, someone goes moreVoting Question: Why is my internet so slow when I have cable broadband?
I've been noticing lately that my internet isn't as fast as it used to be. Videos, especially, have been taking a while to load. I thought that the servers have just been overloaded or something. However, I just watched this video on CNET; apparently, a recent study shows that actual internet speeds are typically 50-80% *less* than what Internet Service Providers advertise. That's a lot. So, I used the speed test on www.whatismyip.com and found out that my download speeds are a measly 976 KB/s. That's like DSL speeds, when I'm paying for 5 MB/s Cable Broadband from Comcast. Seriously? Can I request to pay one fifth of the price if I'm only going to get one fifth of the speed? This doesn't seem right. Scanned for viruses, and there are none. Nothing is downloading, either. I don't know what's wrong. moreResolved Question: Do you think this is a Scamming Buyer?

We put $100 down to buy a used Prius from a Toyota dealer. They told us the price was about $23,000, but we recalled seeing a different price. We went home and printed the Internet special we had seen, for about $16,800, and asked for that price. They said they would honor the Internet price. They also said there is a problem with the title of the car, and have not made the car available. It has been almost three weeks, as we put the money down on Aug. 15. Today, Sept. 3, 2009, we looked at the site and saw the car is advertised at about $21,000. The salesperson keeps returning our calls and promising the car would be ours at the Internet price, but he never keeps his promises to get back to us with an estimated time frame. Last week when we spoke he said something about a lien. We suspect they are stalling us to try to get us to pull out of the deal. What to do? moreResolved Question: Please can someone proofread this paper for me?
In this country we have been born and raised in, we understand that we need to wear clothing, it is how we’ve evolved, and we know that we are not allowed to walk into stores or on sidewalks bluntly nude. According to the internet there are over 100,000 clothing stores and diverse styles to choose from. The largest companies are TJX Companies, Gap, Ross and Abercrombie and Fitch. The 50 largest companies soak up sixty-five percent of the clothing strength. Competition for clothing stores include department stores, discount stores, online stores and catalog vendors. Our options are limited at intervals by society, where we are at in this world and how much money we have in our wallets. Who would have thought that race determined the type of clothes you wear? Why does it matter? What insights can the three theoretical approaches explain to us about our clothing industries and how they flow in our ever-changing society? A Structural-functional approach, based on the text “is a system of interrelated parts that is relatively stable,” each part works to keep society working in an orderly manner. At the macro level, clothing as a manifest is a drastically popular topic. You can without a doubt over-hear a conversation of someone asking, where they got a certain pair of jeans at or basic top. We simply have to have clothes, no arguing about it. Ninety-five percent of stores at shopping malls are made up of clothing floor plans. These particular clothing stores don’t always follow many religions, you won’t find just anyone in stores at the mall but you get a mass variety of people. Some of the clothes advertised in the windows at the entries of stores will draw your eye in and you might also catch a glimpse of a price tag and keep on walking. Clothing creates a social solidarity among people; it also forms groups and stereotypes. Not all humans are respectful and sometimes notice themselves gawking or criticizing what people are wearing on a daily basis. Sometimes it’s not always intended that way but most know when the right time and the wrong time is to wear a certain outfit. Age plays a big part in our society when it comes to clothing. The older a person is you’ll realize the higher their pants sit on their hips and the more supportive their shoes may seem rather than stylish. Previously down the age timeline you’ll find younger people wearing clothing that is maybe more stylish, that rest below the waist line, and shoes that may be uncomfortable but they look mainstream or up-to-date. On a more latent view of clothing there is a hidden similarity between people. If you wear this you may present to do this or that, it’s all a concept of stereotypes. A social conflict system of social inequalities “is based on class, gender and race.” A conflict of how much a pair of distressed jeans cost in one store from another can vary to a thick amount. You’ll find families with more money will have classier clothing and more mediocre families with basic, casual clothing. Clothing also varies from race to race, you’ll find for some male African Americans their clothes might be a lot baggier for both their jeans and shirt. Races bleed into others though, the color of someone’s skin doesn’t matter to the clothes on their back. It’s all about your attitude, what your tastes are or even what you’re exposed to. Women’s clothing dominates most retail stores, covering over thirty-five percent of clothing stores. You’ll find more women shopping for clothing then men without a doubt. Race shouldn’t interfere with the clothes that people choose to wear, although many were taught the opposite of this. The symbolic interactions analysis at a micro-level explains that, society is ever-changing; people interact in infinite environments using multiple symbolic connections. People experience the clothing industry as ever-changing. One year something will be in style and then it’ll expire for possibly several years and then you’ll see it become popular again. Let’s use “converse” shoes as an example. How many teenagers parents used to wear this Brand of shoes back during their high school years? Or the fanny-pack, the convenient pouch that was buckled or strapped to your hip for easy access to your belongings, Most of society accepts this repetition; there is a shared reality in society. In conclusion, Clothing plays a big part in our society on how we see what other people wear daily. Clothing industries are shooting through the ozone and they will keep producing for years to come, with fresher ideas or old ones reconstructed. People will never change and stereotypes will never change. No matter what race a person is it won’t matter what clothes they purchase or choose to personally wear.I had to distribute the 3 theoretical approaches in sociology with analyzing clothing stores and clothing in general. Bases on race, gender and age etc. If you know anything about these 3 approaches that would be marvelous! moreVoting Question: Event planning business?
A friend in I are looking at starting a small business on the side and then working our way up. We both enjoy planning events, big or small. We both also love to cook. We were thinking about starting something like an event planning business. Something where we line everything up for someone (from booking venues, getting and mailing invitations, catering small parties, and booking caterers for big parties ect...) we figured that if it was local then we could provide food, if not then we can line up someone to do it. We would fit everything into people's budgets, they would just pay us to do all the work for them, and pay the people and places we book for them. We figured that the internet has come such a long way that we could even help people that live far away by communicating through e-mail and phone, and we would do all the research and contacting people for them. I already have some vendors that I communicate with personally and through e-mail that would help out. Do you think this would be something that people would be interested in? How much do you feel would be a fair price to charge? How would you go about advertising something like this? moreResolved Question: double check my essay?:)?
plz:) i need you to correct my essay (grammatically mostly) subject=> Do You Think Advertising Is Important?if Yes,In What Ways? Advertising is believed to be utterly pointless,as well as annoying.Nevertheless, many people advocate that advertising is so extremely important an industry, providing jobs for a great amount of people all around the world. It is difficult to establish which side is right, however,I would say it is vital advertising exist. First of all, countless industries are depended on advertising, such as TV.In the wake of 70s,advertising was not considered to be essential,by television spectators. However, there's no doubt that under no circumstances are programs on TV to exist without ads. Thus, the greatest portion of television's cost is taken care of by numerous multinational sponsors. Were advertising not to exist,TV programs could not be broad casted. It is imperative that sponsors keep supporting TV,otherwise its quality will be quickly deteriorated. Other than television, advertising is a way to maintain other services ,such as Print Media.Newspapers and magazines is a real need for some people since they give us the opportunity to reflect on facts.Had advertisements not to exist, the cover price of a magazine would have been substially higher. In other words,it's thanks to revenues having been collected from advertising ,that we can enjoy so many things that would have been otherwise impossible, like Public transportation and the Internet. On the whole, seeing that only if sponsors keep supporting industries, can we enjoy a variety of services, we should all agree that it is vital that ads offset most of the production costs.Notwithstanding many people's disagreement we all know that commercials do us a world of good.
