Open Question: What's the truth about subliminal videos?
I'm aware of positive experiences resulting from making changes to how one feels at a subconscious level. It looked like subliminal videos could be great for people - just sit back and watch and enjoy the benefits.
I thought I'd investigate what's offered. I'm pretty disgusted at the results, which include:
* Very dodgy claims, e.g. they can make anyone wealthy
* The most obvious cheap sales tricks, like buy now to save x% - today only!
* Misleading offers, like claim your absolutely free video (only if you buy a bunch of other stuff)
* Try the free sample - none of which work (unrecognised file formats)
* Watch this online short video (that doesn't work)
* Harvesting email addresses to hit you with loads of their adverts
* Excessive sales talk like dodgy car salesmen trying too hard
* Countless efforts to grab your money
My experience is that honest suppliers of honest products don't use all these tricks - they simply advertise, provide the means to order and pay, and supply.
I looked for a long while and found nothing that seemed trustworthy.
Anyone out there had experience with these videos?
Are there any genuine, trustworthy providers of these videos or what?God is a man-made delusion to comfort and control in equal measure, and has nothing to do with the question!
moreOpen Question: How can I find more customers/Advertise better?
I own a fursuit buisness and its been set up for a while now. Is there a cheap way i can advertise so more people would come to me instead of the over-priced people? I already have a website and i have no room to set up an ad online for so much a month. Ive checked alot of websites, I cant seem to find anything. Help..?
moreResolved Question: I know this question has been asked many times, but how would I make money from home?
I've read many Yahoo Answers Questions about this, and all I see is mow lawns, surveys, babysitting, or fast food. But what about an answer that's actually unique, that works, and you can do from home?
I know so many ways, but I don't know how to get started or where to go.
There's the wonderful world of advertising, which means you can help someone, sell more things. Sounds easy right? Well, first you either need something that attracts many people, and you need to do the hardest part... Find the people! Nobody seems to want to do that, because they can do it themselves. So Advertising isn't it.
You can buy things from websites & sell them for more on Ebay, Amazon, or any other site! Except, there's so many people doing that, that the things on Ebay end up being cheaper than on the sites since they rather get rid of the items than to keep it & try to make profit.
You can do amazing services online for people! Like video editing, picture editing, doing things for people on video games, selling virtual money for real money. & so much more! But in this world, nobody trusts eachother to do that, and they think they can do it themselves. So this is once again.. another fail.
Now, I can go on and on about what to do to make money. But none of it works. Surveys are all scams, and it's all a mess to do the most amazing thing ever. 'Make money from home'
All I want from this question, is simply. Any of the things listed above, do you think you can point anyone, or me that's reading this, into the right direction? To those people that need advertising, or services, or things on Ebay. To help those ideas actually work? That would be the best ever, and this would be the most popular "How to make money from home" question in all of Yahoo Answers History.
So if anyone has help, to anything unique that you can do, not mentioned in other Answers. & not an answer that makes you sound like a complete jerk, feel free to mention it, and you will get a best answer, and the thanks from thousands of people.
Note: Anything that spams survey sites will be flagged. Those never work, don't try it.
moreResolved Question: Cheap Simple Website with Shopping cart?
Hi,
I own a clothing boutique, and I would like to build a website, nothing complicated, just a page with info about my shop, my merchandise, and a shopping cart. I am not the most computer literate person, so the simpler the better. I do not want to pay more then $10 a month.
I have been looking at several online, and it seems that they often advertise themselves as being cheap, (like intuit which says its 4.99 but when I called them they said it would actually end up being more like $35) but then it turns out they are not!
Has anyone used fatcow?
Thanks for the help! :-)

moreVoting Question: Seen UK top 5 broadband rip-offs? & how best to deal with 'em? What do you think is the best deal? How 2 beat?
I put this in Politics as Govt promise to roll out superfast broadband
Is there a corrupt angle?
UK's top broadband rip-offs, together with a few ideas on how you can combat them.
1) Super-fast broadband
You might think super-fast broadband sounds amazing. Lightning-fast deals via next-generation fibre technology allow you to surf the net at more than 5 times the usual speed (50Mb). Unfortunately, however, super-fast broadband generally comes with a much higher price tag than packages with standard connection speeds. And I think, at £40 a month, providers are ripping us off - especially when you take into account a 8Mb package with a 10GB usage limit can cost less than £6 a month.
The fact is, unless you need faster speeds for things like watching internet TV or downloading HD movies regularly, these packages probably have far greater capability than you really need. If you're not a heavy user, paying the higher monthly cost is a waste of money, frankly.
2) Restrictions on download limits
Many broadband providers boast of unlimited download limits, only to accompany these bold statements with a little asterisk which, on closer inspection directs you to a fair use policy that restricts the amount you can actually download.
Fair use policies are often a get out of jail free card for providers which advertise unlimited download limits, only to impose penalties or other restrictions if you exceed a certain threshold.
And, to make things even more complicated, finding out about your own download habits can sometimes feel like trying to break into Fort Knox.
For example, when I called my own provider to ask them about my usage, I was only told that I ‘need not worry'. This ambiguous phrasing may make little difference in my case, but in some circumstances you'll only realise you've exceeded your fair usage limit when you get a warning from your provider – or worse, when a hefty bill lands on your doormat.
If you want to gauge your surfing habits, this data usage calculator from Virgin is a nifty tool which will give you an idea of your own monthly usage, which you can then use to get the best plan for you. Alternatively, providers Be and O2 offer super-fast broadband with truly unlimited download limits.
3) Broadband without a landline.
If you move into a property without a BT landline in place, it will cost you £124.99 to connect yourself to the outside world, plus £10.50 a month in line rental, unless you commit to an 18-month contract.
If you don't fancy forking out all this just to get connected, one alternative is Virgin media which, providing you live in a cabled area, will connect you without the need for a BT line (£30 connection fee applies).
In addition, some providers such as Tiscali make use of local loop unbundling (LLU) to bypass BT and offer inclusive line rental. LLU enables ‘local loops' (or put simply, the cable through which you receive your broadband) to be freed up so other providers can design their own broadband packages to provide alternative, and often cheaper services.
The third way you can get connected to the internet without the need for a BT landline is via a dongle . Dongles provide a convenient way of getting online, though from experience provide much slower download speeds than conventional broadband. Check out my latest article on dongles .
4) Tag on the line
This is one of the sneakiest ways broadband providers can stop you from switching easily. They put what's known as a 'tag' on your line, which is difficult to remove. When you run into trouble, they often point the finger at your landline provider, who then points the finger back at the broadband provider, and so on.
What many people don't realise is that you have to talk to the provider you want to switch to and ask them to remove it. Luckily, Broadband Choices offers a handy list of numbers on its website to contact with regards to having a tag on your line.
5) Long contract terms
Last but not least, contract lengths for broadband, and indeed your mobile phone are slowly creeping up, and these days you'll often have to sign an 18 and sometimes a 24 month contract in order to secure the best deals.
However, there is light at the end of the broadband tunnel, and if you don't want to be tied into a lengthy contract, you could always opt for a provider which doesn't impose one.
For example, you can now get one-month only contracts from providers like Plusnet and Zen, which enable you to switch at any time.
Obviously, your broadband service is unlikely to be 100% perfect, 100% of the time, but hopefully these small tips will help you on your way to a smoother surfing experience.
Happy surfing!DJ

moreResolved Question: Do big rental property owners really run credit and criminal background checks on everybody?
I have one piece of rental property. it's a duplex, but I find it difficult to find one good tenant. I advertise online and in the local paper. I don't believe a big rental property owner could check everybody's credit & criminal background. Do you just checkup on references, ask for recent check stubs, and give a thorough interview? I think maybe things could be conflicting with each other. $550 is the rent which is relatively cheap for here. ($500-$550) The deposit is $350. How is it confilcting? Well, I am on the cheaper end for rental prices but it would be silly to ask for more with it only being 800 sq ft in TN. Someone with experience please advise. Thanks.

I'm planning to start an online clothing store. I know what sort of style I want, what I want on the website, how to design it, how to advertise it however I don't know where to get the clothes from!
I've been looking through wholesale websites that claim they are 100% authentic but they all seem fake to me and I'm not sure if I should buy, 'no brand' products. I'm going oversea soon and was wondering if it's a good idea to buy bulk of cheap clothes and send it back here?
Any information is much appreciated!
moreResolved Question: I am going to be a DAD! I need to make $10,000 in 2 months from my new business. Help me with ideas! (Please)?
This post is not some sort of cheap attempt to get a measly few more views on my site from this community. I genuinely want your ideas on my situation.
My situation (A new beginning):
I just started an IT business a few months ago on the Gold Coast (IT Support, Web design, Computer repair, Computer sales etc). I went all out and QUIT MY JOB to make this happen. Most of my available funds and time have gone in to equipment, general setup (server, web site, some starter clients). I have a couple of refered clients (from friends and family) but not nearly enough to cover my old wage as an Network Administrator.
Dilemma (The news):
Soon after Quitting my job to start this business I found out I AM GOING TO BE A DAD! Great news...! I am ecstatic! but fearful at the same time because of my situation. My wife will soon be unable to work and I will need to support the family myself. Doing the sums, I figure that unless my business makes an extra 10k in the next 2 months (to cover some financing etc) I will have to give up on the Business and look for work. That would not be a good option as it is hard to find a good salary in IT on the Gold Coast to cover living expenses for Me, My wife, My Mother in-law (living with us) and a new born due in in a few months.
So you see, my business MUST WORK! I have no other option. About 5 - 10 new steady clients would do it, but how?!
Done so far:
Here are some of the things I have done so far (Please be honest with your criticism on these, I need to know what to change):
*Registered a business name "DO IT Solutions" (Direct & Online IT Solutions)
*Purchased a 1300 number 1300 DO IT 4U / 1300 36 48 48 (cheesy I know)
*Created a dot com dot au website (I hope I am allowed to put this:) doitsolutions.com.au
*Created a "DOITSolutions" facebook page with a custom welcome page using FBML facebook.com/doitsolutions
*Created a twitter account twitter.com/doitsolutions
*Linked the special offers on my web site to an RSS feed which updates Facebook and Twitter
*Offered a discount for facebook fans (to help raise the amount of fans that will in tern receive my specials via facebook as listed, there are 47 at the moment I think, just friends of mine)
*Added links from the front page of my web site to become a facebook fan or follow on twitter
*Listed with online advertising on Truelocal (com au site) for $300 / month, considering cancelling it as only getting about 1 view per day and no calls :(
*Listed with many other free online advertising sites and some cheaper paid ones (Clickfind, dlook etc)
So far I just haven't managed to penetrate the market enough.
Please help me think of ideas:
Example idea:
1) Brochure, local handout:
I am thinking of creating a brochure. One side with an IT Support special and the other side with a Web design special. Maybe a cheap monthly payment plan for a new website (eg. $70 - 80 / month, maybe including domain registration and web hosting or similar) instead of reducing my upfront amount web site amount. And then delivering it to my local businesses. I would hate being one of those annoying people that drop and to give you a brochure unannounced, but I am that determined to make this work.
Please, any ideas will help. Share a story about a a similar experience, or a possible idea for a plan. Any input would be much appreciated! :)

moreResolved Question: Photography and schooling, want professional photographers opinions.?
I have been doing lots of photography work for about 3 years now. Just now have I taken it to a professional level and started doing portrait photography for families, children, couples and more. Although I like to do nature photography, I feel like I specialize more in portrait photography. To me, I am rather good with what I do with what little schooling I have had with photography. College is not an option right now, and most likely won't be for a few years due to lack of money. I do, however, take a lot of free online 'classes' and read alot about it. I don't take the classes to learn how to take pictures, I can do that wonderfully with just my talent, I like to learn more about exposure, camera settings, lighting, and other tips and suggestions. My problem is that a lot of people think to be a photographer you have to have schooling and lots of it. I am also fairly young, almost 19. I have the professional equipment that my husband and I bought prior to advertising my work, and I have a lot of experience. I think the pictures and your professionalism should prove it self when I do a person or families shots, but the thing is, I get a lot of people who look past me because of my lack of schooling and age. My prices are extremely cheap, below $100, mostly below $75, and I am confident in my work. What tips would you give me to bring in more customers? I am in the process of learning GIMP and continue reading all about new things with photography. Is there any PROFESSIONAL photographers on here that have made it where they want with out schooling?
I am not going to post any of my work, because I believe every one will have their own opinions and I am already confident with what I do.
Thanks so much to you all!Alright, I will post some of my work if it is that important.
I charge so cheap because I feel like with my age and lack of schooling I probably can not get what I think my work is worth quite yet. Here is a post to my blog with most of my work.

So you can enlarge the pictures.
These are just a few of the pictures I have done. I mostly post the ones I get paid for for my clients to see.
moreResolved Question: Cheap motels near Anaheim/Orange area?
I'm going to be staying at least from April 22nd to April 26th, possibly longer, although there is a vague possibility of checking out a day or two early if I am offered a place to stay by a relative.
I DO NOT CARE if there is a layer of filth on the floor, I'm cuddling rats, and playing whack-a-mole with cockroaches. I do not care if the staff is rude. I do not care if I have to do an Olympic-worthy run through a bevy of hookers and drug dealers to get to my room. I want a bathroom (preferably with a tub), electricity, and a bed. Don't even need a tv, though I'd imagine its pretty standard. I've had pretty dark times in my past, so rest assured that such an environment wouldn't ruin my vacation at all; I'm trying to avoid sleeping in my car, because I think that would.
In the past, when I've gone places, I've done internet research on motels and hotels, and always found something cheaper advertised on a sign when I got there . . . I remember once stopping in Illinois and a front desk staff member assuring me I'd find nothing cheaper than his $55 a night. At the next interstate exit, I found one for $24. In my experience the cheapest rooms are unknown motels that don't show up online, so I'm sort of interested in those.
It's just me staying and I am a smoker so a smoking room is ok, but I don't smoke inside at home so a nonsmoking room is fine as well. No pets. No need for amenities. Anything within about 15 miles is good; further is also ok if its cheap enough to make up for gas. I plan to go to Disneyland or other touristy places, but the primary function of the trip is meeting long-lost family.
I've found a room that is listed as $35 for weekdays and $40 for the weekends; after taxes the four-night stay comes to about $168. I know that's not bad, but I've already taken too many "little luxuries" regarding this trip. I didn't do comparative rates on my rental car at all, so I'm trying to trim the fat.
Thanks.
moreResolved Question: Why in the world are all these "online degree programs" so very very expensive?
I have checked into the pricing of most every advertised "get you degree online here" programs that are advertised on tv and on webpages...WTF????
What is wrong with these people?
There prices per credit hour are outrageous and highly unjustified and downright greedy and hec.
WTF is the deal?
They are in fact...so very greedy and ill priced.that most of them after spending 30 minutes navigating all over their site..you still will not have found ANY info on their cost for tuition...which makes it seem like it is a F***ing SECRET or somthing!!!
i have had to write to most of them or fill out their little crap and let them bombard me with freakin' phone calls...just to find out or get any idea at all of their cost...that is how embearassed these people are of their greed...the go out of their way to absolutley avoid the issue on their FAQ pages and all the rest of their website areas....
Why is it so stupidly expensive at the "Online Only" colleges...you all know the names of them.
University of Phoe***, Wald** University., etc...
How in the world do they justify this staggering sticker shock of tuition fees when they should automatically be so much cheaper because they have no brick and mortar campus to maintain..which should in my mind greatly affect cost...
My God man! I could goto HARVARD for the same money....these people..
WTF????
Please adivse.
Why are they so expensive...??? Other than greed...and why all of them?
How do THEY justify this greed/redicuous absurd tuition and fees...when everything is online.
I feel sorry for the folks that do not realize their local communty college. or most any college anywhere nowadays offers most of their classes online, hence the same degree mostly from home....done online...or a substanial portion of it...but also with the benifit of a b&m place to goto when you have a problem or need help...a much better value of course by any way you look at it... all for much much cheaper. Without all the burden of massive student loans that these schools I am complaining about are so quick to push you into...they act like it's free money..you know you cannot even claim bankrupcy for student loans...you are stuck with them babies for life man..
These places are in my opinion...a ripoff...and they prey on the non prudent.
How do these places justify their super expensive tuition and fees is my question..play devil's advocate and come to their defense...I cannot imagine?
Thank you in advance for your time,
Perry in FLIs answerer correct? I though these expensive online colleges are accredited and different than simply those "online degrees" that you buy.

I'm graduating from grade 9 this year (yeah I know, usually you graduate from grade 8, but the city I live in, high school starts in grade 10). And the whole happening is in either may or june, but lots of girls already have their dresses so I've just started looking online for fun to see if I find some I like. I want to keep it super casual, I am NOT a fancy person.
I've found a dress, and wanted your opinion on what to wear with it and such.
So I really adore this dress: (In the blue floral, and I'd get a similar belt).

and I was wondering if it would look good in a lightwash denim jacket like this:
I definetly just noticed that the jacket is advertised over the dress I want haha! But it looks good, right? I probably would get a jacket similar to that, probably a cheaper one from somewhere else though.

And then for footwear I'd wear some type of moccasin ankle boot! (I don't like flats/sandals etc.) Maybe like this?

So what do you think?
I'm 5'5 110lbs.We go out and stuff, and we can't just wear jeans and a t-shirt.
And uh what do you mean I cant wear that for grade 9 grad?
I've seen previous grade 9's wear slightly similar stuff.
moreResolved Question: B&F Top Contributors: Is this solicitation?
Someone in business and finance asked "how do I make money online". I gave him an answer on how I do it, and I was reported. I tried to appeal it and they rejected my appeal (twice) and took 20 points from my account. I feel that it was top contributors who reported me because everytime I post anything in Business and Finance, it gets reported. I think that some of the Top Contributors automatically assume that it's impossible to make money online. They think everything is a scam. I think people should be more careful when reporting answers in this section.
You tell me, was this answer solicitation, and HOW?
my answer:
"Start an online community, a mini myspace in other words or forum. I have a few dating sites and I use adwords to get members. The site is free and I only have about 800 members so far on my main site, but once I have more (about 5,000 or more), I will place ads on there and make money from the ads just like myspace does. There's free software out there for social sites so after you install it, you just work on getting members to sign up. I use Google adwords to advertise mainly. My main site is an asian site so its cheaper for me to advertise since I only only show ads to people out of Asian countries. This is cheaper for advertising, but it also means I'll make less once I place ads on there, because clicks from people in Asia don't pay as well since they don't buy as much online as Americans, Canadians etc. As far as selling domains, that's not easy. I used to do it but it's just getting harder now with the economy the way it is. But most of the people I sold domains to were other domain investors. Advertising is recession proof though. There is always people who are looking to advertise their businesses, even when the economy is bad. Another thing you can do is buy misspelled domains or domains you think you can park. I park domains and some have been pretty successful. There's this one celebrity that just became real famous (realized I can't say his name for certain reasons), and right around the time this was happening, I bought about 4 domain names that are misspellings of his name. Now people searching for his name on the internet who misspell it, end up at my parked page, where I have ads that some of them click on."notice how I said "There's free software out there". moreVoting Question: How do I sell my adult toys/costumes/dvds online?
I have a whole heap of stock that I have recieved through a trade/barter thing, I'm trying to get started, but don't know where. This is a starting step, and I'm hoping someone can give me help in the way of what sites I can use, that are idealy free to advertise adult items, or relatively cheap as I am only just starting out(will look at going more professionally later). Or just sites where it is ok and encouraged to sell adult products! Ebay and gumtree are out, as they don't allow this. I live in Australia.
Due to asking this question before and not getting any helpful answer at all, I have devised criteria for how I will chose best answer, If I don't get proper answers, the question will just be deleted.
*Best answer will be chosen if they meet this criteria:
1. At least one website that allows me to advertise adult products, that doesn't have massive sign up fees or where you have to have an affiliate
2. Have had experience(or know of someone) who has used this site, or has been selling adult products
3. Is genuinly trying to help me out, and gives helpful advise.
Anyone with at least one of these will be chosen, but preferably all 3 must be met.
*Best answer will not go to anyone who:
1. Just has a website as their answer(unless it is awesome and let's me sign up today and start selling straight away)
2. Says ''I don't know, but you could try this site'' followed by alot of spam and useless websites that just say ''Advertise here for free*'' that have limitations as to what I can sell
3. Gives me a website that has nothing to do with adult products and selling them
4. International websites whereby postage is going to be high and expensive, and has nothing to do with selling in Australia
These answers will be ignored, and I encourage anyone else reading them or answering the question to TD them :- )
*Point scammers WILL be reported(i.e ''thanks for the easy 2 points'' or ''I don't know but good luck'' ect).
Thanks to anyone who can be of any help! I am asking for help with advertising adult products online, not to be mucked around.

moreResolved Question: Online Clothing Business?
As many others have also felt, I rarely find clothes that I really want to wear in regular stores. The clothes are either not unique enough or just does seem that desirable. Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to design my clothes ( t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, hoodies, etc.) This may be an empty dream but I was wondering how and where I can send my designs of clothings and have them made. I'm a pretty artistic guy and have many designs in my head that I want to produce. I'm not asking for my business to be as big as Urbanoutfitters, bape, johnny cupcakes, etc... i just want to sell people unique cool clothes. I'm fine with starting with ebay. this won't be my main job since i'm already attending dental school to be a dentist. can anyone provide any useful informations on this? i have about 20-40k to invest.
what i'm most curious about is where can i get legit supplier to make my clothes? i'm not talking about those cheap looking online custom t shirt designs but like a legit clothes maker that can actually produce nice clothes...
other informations such as advertising, license, websites, etc are also appreciated!p.s.
like i've stated above, i'm not trying to sell simple hoodies and t shirts with logos and such. i'm talking about legit clothes that people would actually wear. I'd really appreciate if any company produces the clothes, manages the finance and website itself and send me part of the profit...
sounds too good to be true, huh?

I have two simple questions.
Say I sell baskets and have a basket selling website.
Say there is brand XYZ baskets.
I am not affiliated with XYZ in any way.
But I got a great deal on a bunch XYZ baskets and I want to sell them on my site.
Now XYZ sells these baskets for 10.00 a piece on XYZ's website
Question 1: I now I can't sell them cheaper then that, because of MAP (advertising price or whatever) right?
Question 2: I am able to sell these baskets even though I did not get them directly from XYZ right? I don't need no contracts, or there permission or anything do I?

moreResolved Question: A Letter From Barbie To Santa?
I found this online and liked it so I'm posting it here for others to enjoy as well. :)
A Letter From Barbie To Santa
Listen you fat little troll, I've been helping you out every year, playing at being the perfect Christmas present, wearing skimpy bathing suits in frigid weather, and drowning in fake tea from one too many tea parties, and I hate to break it to ya Santa, but IT'S DEFINITELY PAYBACK TIME! There had better be some changes around here this Christmas, or I'm gonna call for a nationwide meltdown (and trust me, you won't wanna be around to smell it). So, here's my holiday wish list, Santa:
1. A nice, comfy pair of sweat pants and a frumpy, oversized sweatshirt. I'm sick of looking like a hooker. How much smaller are these bathing suits gonna get? Do you have any idea what it feels like to have nylon and velcro crawling up your butt?
2. Real underwear that can be pulled on and off. Preferably white. What bonehead at Mattel decided to cheap out and MOLD imitation underwear to my skin?!? It looks like cellulite!
3. A REAL man...maybe GI Joe. I'd take Tickle-Me Elmo over that wimped-out excuse for a boyfriend Ken. And what's with that earring anyway? If I'm gonna have to suffer with him, at least make him (and me) anatomically correct.
4. Arms that actually bend so I can push the aforementioned Ken-wimp away once he is anatomically correct.
5. Breast reduction surgery. I don't care whose arm you have to twist, just get it done.
6. A jog bra. To wear until I get the surgery.
7. A new career. Pet doctor and school teacher just don't cut it. How about a systems analyst? Or better yet, an advertising account exec!
8. A new, more 90's persona. Maybe "PMS Barbie", complete with a miniature container of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and a bag of chips; "Animal Rights Barbie", with my very own pain gun, outfitted with a fake fur coat and handcuffs; or "Stop Smoking Barbie," sporting a removable Nicotrol patch and equipped with several packs of gum.
9. No more McDonald's endorsements. The grease is wrecking my vinyl.
10. Mattel stock options. It's been 37 years- I think I deserve it.
OK, Santa, that's it. Considering my valuable contribution to society, I don't think these requests are out of line. If you disagree, then you can find yourself a new bimbo doll for next Christmas. It's that simple.

moreResolved Question: Anybody worked as a pawn broker buying people's gold? Do you like this job?
I got interviewed yesterday for a job as one. The thing is the manager never said it was a pawn broker job. She said it's purchasing, buying people's gold. After the interview I then realized this. She said she's going to call me tomorrow to let me know if I got the job.
I would like to know how is this type of job, as I never went to one before. Online they advertised it as a jewelry sales associate. It made me think it was Tiffany's or Zales. However I'm still interested because the pay is around $10 to $13 dollars an hour plus bonus based on experience. This pays more than many other retail stores that I applied at.
She said some of the duties are to make sure the gold is real, use some computer (Microsoft excel spreadsheets) Someone please tell me the nature of this job? What do you do. Do you have to lie to buy the gold cheaper? Do you like this job?
moreResolved Question: How can I rent a dirt cheap house in Mexico?
I know there are many many houses in Mexico that rent for under $500/month but I can't seem to find many on the internet. I'm guessing it's because the local owners don't advertise online or much at all. all i need is a house with a roof, running water and electricity. internet/phone is a bonus but not required. and the house needs to be within walking distance of a beach and about 1/2 hour or less drive from the local market or city center, such as cancun.
i'm planning on moving to mexico for a year, but i just need to find a cheap house. should i maybe take a trip down to cancun and just taxi around looking for houses to rent? I have no idea. let me know if you know what i should do. thanks a lot!
moreResolved Question: Should you avoid buying electronics from a company called Ceejay limited?
HELL YEAH! Let me tell you why. They advertise on free online classified ads with really cheap prices on electronics such as cellphones, game consoles, etc. They only accept Western Union payments and once they have your money, they say that in order to ship your item you'll have to pay duty taxes. And if your stupid enough like I was to send them more money, they reassure you that your item is now on its way. You would think that if it was a scam, they would stop there ..take the money and run but no, they come up with another way to milk you for more. They tell you that there is a problem with your order and instead of sending you what you think you paid for, they tell you that they shipped extra phones (because of new company policy) and ask that you pay for the phones to ''insure" that your items are delivered safely to you. And when you refuse, they ask to pay for at least one of them and they'll make sure that your order is delivered. BTW they give you a tracking number and a link to a website where you can track your order, however the courier "Envio Courier Delivery" does not have a contact number...I wonder why? Because it's Bogus too...SO PLEASE! DON'T GET SUCKERED LIKE I DID!not trying to make a point, trying to warn people not to make the same mistake I did. It's the right thing to do.to add, they use yahoo IM and also Messenger as a means to communicate with their victims.
moreVoting Question: How should I advertise my product?
I am starting a small business. I have opened a shop/store online on etsy.com. I geared my audience toward teens and young adults. Sadly, it has been open for about 2 months now and no one has bought anything. My prices are cheap, and all my products are handmade by myself.
I have come to realize that a lot people don't know the store exists. I have made a facebook fan page, twitter and posted my work on deviantart.com to try and get myself out there. It still seems that only my friends and family know about it.
How could i get my name out there with a cost effective way to attract customers?
I have considered making business cards and attaching them to my product, making pencils or pens and giving these supplies to small cafes around town that support local artist.
Any and all advise is greatly appreciated. Please help out a struggling artist.

moreResolved Question: Company hiding actual prices?
Ok..I recently got scammed into a membership with this club...and I will be requesting a rescission of my contract for many, many reasons..one of them being this:
__________(need you to help fill in the blank)__________
Ok, here's the deal....what the company does is advertise their prices to be 40-50% cheaper than retail, but I've come to realize that they 'hide' additional costs and charges from plain view, and you don't know them until you're about to check out.(both in store and online purchase..and before taxes are calculated). These extra charges eliminate any potential for savings.
I WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS A 'TITLE' OR 'NAME' FOR THIS UNFAIR PRACTICE.
For example...
They will advertise the same EXACT television make and model that best buy or any random retailer has and...
Hypothetically speaking..
That particular television would be regularly priced at $500 through 'best buy'
and in turn.....this scum of a membership club advertises it at $350ish for that same televsion...
You would like to think that it is a great deal..but after you check out..you are hit with $125ish in 'freight fees'..and $10ish in handling fees..flat shipping fee of $25ish dollars..and lots of other miscellaneous charges.
In the end, the item that should be discounted is wwwaayy more the the original retailer's price.
What is this scenario called? Shouldn't this be against the law?...kinda like price misrepresentation and false advertising?Animal Lover...you're attitude is quite ridiculous and you would have been better off not responding. You contributed ZERO to this question. Don't you have better things to do instead of being of NO USE?!
Either way...of course I have to option not to buy the products..but it's the membership itself that i am contesting. On their website and in their ads they advertise at one particular price..but then when you decide on it..and continue to check out..THEN they hit you with the hidden fees. And of course, at that time...I'd refuse to pay up.
The issue here is that they obtained my membership(fees/contract) by way of misleading information.
I just want to obtain my membership fees back by way of explaining to them that they have LIED about what they have to offer..and have NO ties with them whatsoever.
moreResolved Question: Where can I find a advertising website?
I'm the leader of a restaurant and game park and I need advertisements. I need business cards, brochures, gift cards, signs, posters, and online advertising. I want them either cheap or free. I already got business cards ready. Please try to make it online, like a link instead of a place to go.
moreVoting Question: I want to start my own online business. Can anyone with knowledge/ experience in this area please respond.?
I'm really unsure what to sell. I've thought of loads of ideas from home brewery kits to insect repellents. What puts me off is when I google my idea and see just how many other companies are already selling these products.
Ideally I need products which are cheap & affordable, quite small/ light so there's small P+P charges, has very few returns to deal with, and something that people are always in need of.
I think once I find a good category I'll be okay setting up a website, finding a wholesaler, advertising and selling. It's just so hard to find the right sort of products.
Anyone got any ideas or advice please?

moreResolved Question: DID YOU KNOW THAT GLAMOROUS LIGHT "MODELING AGENCY" IS A SCAM!?
www.glamorouslight.com
They claim they don't have any upfront charges and hidden fees, but I am suspicious because they don't have an address and phone number. Also, when I emailed them, they said I'd be perfect for their "JUST TIE IT" men's necktie accessories project and that I will be doing "implied" nude for billboards, etc. First of all, a GIRL shouldn't be advertising men's accessories.
Also, they might distribute my nude photos to everywhere and make me a cheap porn star and even have hidden cameras and post that online...also, they might sexually harrass and rape me. TOTALLY POSSIBLE!
What do you think?
I might have been sold into prostitution or porn!! I might have DIED! Let's all work together to shut that company down. REPORT THEM! The more the better. Stop female exploitation! Stop modeling scams!
