Look: 1. I'm using Internet Explorer. I'm not changing to Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome, so you can stop regurgitating your "Explorer suckz, go Chrome" nonsense all over me. It's not happening. You advertisers can get past my popup blocker, but not my finger and its ability to thumb you down. 2. When I'm running with full add-ons (Flashplayer, Java, HP View, etc, etc) I can open no more than TWO tabs or TWO windows. If I dare try to open a third tab or window, my internet refreshes itself. Then the smartass bug has the audacity to throw this message my way: "Windows has recovered this tab", with a speach box coming from said tab. 3. Everything runs fine when I'm running with add-ons disabled. However, that means that I can't watch anything that's current and uses Flashplayer, or Java, or whatever (so, no Youtube, OneMoreLevel, or RedTube, and that's unnacceptable). 4. It's not a virus, so don't go there. more

Voting Question: WoW Account Closure question?

I tried logging into WoW yesterday and found out I was banned for advertising/spamming. I am SURE I did not do this because I hardly ever use the chat system and advertisers annoy the hell outta me. I was only off my account for 12 hours, so that leaves a small amount of time to be hacked. I sent an appeal to Blizzard about it, awaiting a reply. I just find it odd that my account was closed, without warnings or temporary bans, for advertising/spamming I guess my question is would it be possible to be hacked/banned in that small amount of time? Also, how lenient has Blizzard been in situations like this? Have they been known to return accounts, or just tell people that they're out of luck? more

Resolved Question: Anyone suspect Yahoo is trying to increase Yahoo Answers usage by immediately suspending accounts?

I have watched the number of people answering questions dwindle since Yahoo Answers started, but recently something seems to be changing and it doesn't look right to me. Yahoo has always been met with the dilemma of how to control abuse and violations of community guidelines. Many people do use Yahoo Answers primarily to abuse people. But, at the same time, Yahoo no doubt seeks to increase usage of its Answers community, and there is a way they can quickly do this--even with the help of trolls. Yahoo gains nothing from sending violation email warnings. (And as every troll knows, reports of abuse and violations are very easy to fake.) However, if Yahoo started suspending accounts immediately, whether users deserve it or not, it would force members to spend more time with Yahoo to set up a new account. Additionally, the marketing geniuses at Yahoo probably hope the silly points system will motivate and reinforce members forced to create new accounts to use Answers more frequently. So the trend now is as soon as you get reported for a violation, you no longer get a warning. Your account is immediately suspended whether you deserve it or not. Don't even tell me about the "appeals" procedure (especially if you're a Yahoo employee). Let's face it. Someone with an account that's many years old and a respectable % of best answers won't use Yahoo Answers in the same way as a new account that has no % of best answers. The marketeers at Yahoo who know advertisers care the most about how many people are using Yahoo Answers would be more satisfied with a higher and higher number of users. I have read about many people's accounts getting suspended for no justifiable reason according to community guidelines. On top of this, Yahoo customer care is mostly a completely automated service so that once your account is suspended a) there's little likelihood you can discuss the issue with a real person, and b) you'll have to create a new account if you want to keep contributing to Yahoo Answers. Both of these only benefit Yahoo in the end (i.e., they don't have to pay real people for "customer care," and the number of users on Yahoo Answers increases more than what might happen if people's accounts were not quickly suspended). Voting Question: Good Weight Loss Websites (Like Peer groups, not diet stuff)?

What is a good website that is about weight loss. This is NOT for diet plans or drinks or diet pills or any of that. Advertisers' comments will NOT be considered. I exercise and eat well, but I just heard on the news that people who often visit web sites about weight loss are more often to keep the weight off because it acts as a support group since you are able to communicate and share your experiences with others as well. Is there any FREE way to start such a website? I would be writing different essays or articles on controversial theological topics that people could read for free.
