Open Question: My mother is forcing me to hate her without her even knowing!! please someone give me some advice?

I am 18 years old and still a student... I have other two sibling: my sister (she married about 2 years ago and has her own place) and my brother which is 29 years old and still lives with us and he has a steady job and no girlfriend but loves to go out with friends and so on.... my big problem is that my mother is really being unfair to me.... she tells me to help her with chores and I always do but I argue with her because she only tells me to do them... she never tells my brother to help NEVER NEVER.... and when I do the chores she tells me and then I have some free time for myself she starts telling me that I am lazy and never do anything for her and then she makes me feels so guilty that I hate the time that I have for myself..... I don't see this as fair.... why am I always the one who has to do the chores??? I wouldn't complain if maybe me and my brother did these chores together and halved the work but I see it as unfair that I am the only one to do them.... my father helps her sometimes with the plates and so on.... I talked to her many times and we argue a LOOTT about this situation but she never seems to get how unfair this is....not so long ago I was talking to my sister and she agreed too that our mother never tells him to do chores... it's not like I have something against my Brother or like that but it's just unfair... he lives in the same house as I live so why shouldn't he do the chores too? my mum somehow doesn't get this.... she sometimes even bribes me like example I would need a lift at my Friend's house and she would be like if you do the plates or something else I would take you.. right now I am with my summer holidays... and she really is ruining them always shouting at me andtellinge to do that and this.... even my boyfriend agreed that this isn't fair but whenever I try to talk to her about it she avoids the subject and stuff like that.... I'm reallylosingt now... I almost can't stand her =s it's like she likes my brother sooooooo much more.... she always tries to wake me up early so to help her and really gets angry when I like wake up at 10 o'clock.... but then she lets my brother sleep till like 12 (when he isn't working or on weekends) and never says anything... no, this isn't against a landlord - but against a parent of a college student. Here is the Case: Two girls (A & B) live together, in a 2 person apartment, one school year. The year has gone well, and they enjoy each other enough to cause them to choose to live together a second year. But girl B becomes pregnant and chooses to leave college. An ad is listed to fill the second place in the the apartment - a sublease- and is answered and accepted (in February of the first year for the second year) by girl Y. She and her single parent sign the sublease agreement. They are told that the security deposit ($300 - divided in half between girl A & B) was already placed down by the family of girl B, and that when the second year is completed - girl B's family will be returned their portion of the money from that which is returned to the girls by the management company. Sometime in the summer before the second year, girl A's sister is rejected from a different college, and it is decided by girl A's family that the sister (from here on out referred to as K) will go to the same college as girl A, and will furthermore LIVE in the same apartment/same bedroom as girl A. Girl Y and her family are not consulted as to IF this is acceptable to them (considering that if found OUT they would be in violation of the lease), or that there is any other option before girl K moves in. The three girls get along...but girl Y's family is angry that they are to pay 50% of the rent while the family of girls A & K are getting 2 rents for the price of one. Girl Y's family wants to pull from the apartment - but girl Y insists that nothing should be said to ruffle feathers or ruin the situation (she has had trouble with room-mates in the past and wants to live the year drama-free). The food bills are split in three, but girl Y and her family are again upset that instead of her plans to live economically, the two girls (living together in reduced rent) insist on splitting the bills for higher quality fare. Again, girl Y doesn't want to make waves and all the money she has to spend for the month is going to pay for groceries. Short of cash, she has to find a job while in school to pay any other expenses she has (this results in a dip in her GPA). As the year ends, the apartment is cleaned, an inspection is done, and girl A turns over both the keys in an envelope that bears her name. Later the management company sends the inspection report, copies of the repair and further cleaning/painting bills (college town apt management companies rip their residents off - common knowledge), and a check for $79.00 is sent to girl A's address - the check is written to both girl A & B. Months later, a parent of girl A calls the new employer of girl Y and leaves incomplete messages for her (twice) that she owes money and that it has something to do with the college (Leaving girl Y's manager with a sense that she is a deadbeat). Girl Y tries calling the phone number left by the parent, and a number that she had for girl A, but they were either left incorrectly or disconnected. Girl Y contacts girl A through an old college e-mail account saying that she doesn't understand the situation, and could her mom call after work that night (no return call). Though the mother (of girl A) is told that she should not handle this in this forum (a place of business), she returns in person with a note declaring that Girl Y is in debt to this mom for $165 - the cost of the security deposit and $10 cleaning. The open note goes further to accuse Girl Y and her parent of KNOWING this money was owed and avoiding paying their bills, as well as a break down of the costs which are written in pencil- leaning heavily towards the fault and the responsibility of Girl Y. The management company is called (by family Y) to get a full run-down of the information. They send Family Y the paperwork that was only sent to the family of girls A & K, but also mention that girl Y should legally have had to sign that check for it to be cashed. BTW... it ends up that the returned security deposit due to girls A & B was given back to family A at the end of the first year. The 1/2 deposit put down for the second year by family B was returned to them (unknowingly to Girl Y) by family A -thus family A paid the entire $300 for year 2. Yet, through the entire year 2, never mentioned the $150 should have been given by family Y. Now to the issues: Considering that there were three girls living in this two bedroom...(and that girl Y paid 50% of the rent for 12 months instead of the 33.3% that she should have -amongst 3 room-mates)...does girl Y legally owe for $100 or $150 of the deposit? Furthermore...considering that the way the apartment was left needed repairs, cleaning, and painting ...should these repairs legally be deducted 3 ways or in half. Concerning the check that was issued to girls A & Y, should that amount be Sorry... the check is sent to girl A's address and is written in the names of girls A & Y!!!! (not A & B)One more thing... the cell phone number of Girl Y was clearly written on the note (break-down of cleaning etc expenses) that the mom delivered to Girl Y's boss - showing that she COULD have just called Girl Y (no message was left) - but instead took the route of going to girl Y's place of business in order to embarrass her...... Girl Y was up for a serious promotion at this point. Whether due to this (the mom calling and showing up) or not - Girl Y was passed up for the promotion notWow... the final issue did not print. Here was the final arguement: Considering that the $79 check that was issued to Girls A & Y was signed by girl A alone (or forged with girl Y's signature) - should THIS amount be split in 3 or 2 when considering the final money owed? ***and if you are good at math, how much does Girl Y now owe the mother of Girl A &K? more

Open Question: I need to sell my car ASAP!?

I'm moving out of state at the end of September and I need to sell my car. It's a 99 Nissan Altima with 100,000 miles on it. I think it need some work done on it though. I'm not exactly sure how to go about getting the most money for it. I don't really have money to do any major repairs on it though. Okay. So there is this product out now . . . LYSOL® No-Touch Hand Soap System. How ridiculous is this product. I mean think about it. This product is meant to protect you from the germs on the squirt pump of a regular bottle of liquid hand soap. Most of the liquid hand soaps that are readily available and most widely used are antibacterial. This means that the liquid soap should kill those germs . . . RIGHT? So . . . my mind tells me this . . . (step-for-step actions of washing your hands using a squirt pump bottle of liquid hand soap): 1. Turn on the facet. 2. place the palm of one hand on the top of the bottle and the other under the pump. 3. push down on the squirt pump to dispense the ANTIBACTERIAL liquid hand soap. 4. (Now pay close attention to this step) Place both hands together and rub them together coating both hands with the ANTIBACTERIAL liquid hand soap. 5. Place them under the running water to lather the ANTIBACTERIAL hand soap. In my mind I ask myself everytime I see this ad or pass it in the store or see some uppity homemaker paying the outrageous price . . . $4.50 for only 8.5 oz . . . for the refills, 'Doesn't the act of putting your hands together after squirting the soap out of a regular dispenser cancel out any need to have a hands free dispenser?' Open Question: Best way to earn pocket change on a small website?

I am building a server and I am about to host a small website that has to do with uploading and downloading game mods and patches (plus a few video tutorials for modding). I expect to have traffic of about a few hundred, but I don't expect it to become a huge website. I didn't initially think about putting on ads in the first place since I am not making this specifically to make money, but it would be nice to be able to cover some costs for the site and maybe get more down the road. I heard about adsense, but are there other ads that have that pay-per-view thing that pay for every video played and can play before your youtube videos. Any suggestions on which way I should go and any idea how much I might make a month? Feel free to shred the idea if it really isn't worth the time to add ads, but even 20$ a month is better than nothing at first. Maybe if I am lucky my website will expand within the next years. I have an older male boxer who is desperately in need of a good home. His previous owner was extremely neglectful and abusive. He was near death when I rescued him...He had no hair, and was extremely emaciated. He was so badly emaciated he was found eating rocks to survive, so he barely has any teeth! I am a 20 year old female in a small Kentuckian town where everyone knows everyone and everyone is cliquey. I only moved here during high school because my father was essentially forced to move here. In part because my ancestors are not natives to this dump, I am ignored by the town. The city where I lived before is too great a distance away. My friends from said city have all moved from it and are essentially controlled by their parents who are much richer than my parents. I have been trying to move out for years. The town was hit by a storm that left it with nothing. The library is gone. There isn't a single coffee shop hiring. One was shut down and the other is run by a guy who isn't allowed to hire anyone. I put in applications to K-Mart, Target, Wal-Mart, and grocery stores. Nothing! I worked at a shop without pay when my ex invited me to, but after he moved, I was told to go home because there was no way I was getting paid. I worked harder than the paid employees did, too. The shop was soon closed for good. I go to a community college and hate it. I make good grades and am in the honor's society. Doesn't matter. The only reasons I go are to meet people who can get me out of this hell hole (and that's not working) and because it is free for me because my mother is a professor. There I meet boys who just leave me. I am one semester from graduating, not that I feel it will do me any good here. Experience has shown that I never get job offers. I never got job offers in high school, either. In high school, I volunteered for many things and was "fired" from every single project. I did work as a tutor, but the pay was not nearly enough to support myself nor could I find roommates. I have tried moving out several times. The people I moved in with wound up ditching me, in a nutshell. I even put an ad in Craigslist for a roommate. Horny old men responded. My parents and I have never gotten along. I am ashamed beyond measure to still be living with them. My sister will be joining the army at 18. I would do the same if it were not for my health. Feels like I'm sick every day. An ex boyfriend told me that my body is trying to kill itself and that this is a sign that I should kill myself because I'll never get anywhere. When I bring up university, the issue of money always comes up. I can't get financial support because my parents make too-much-but-not-enough. I'm looking for something that won't get me killed or locked up. If "just getting a job" were that easy, I would have by now. He is a neutered 3 yr old indoor-outdoor cat. The longest period of time that he has been gone before is 48 hours. We have tried everything, posters, asked around, listened near garages, placed an ad in the newspaper and online....Tried leaving food out, but if he was in the immediate area/free to move around, he would've made an appearance by now. He always used to come when we called, but there has so far been no response to our calls. He normally stays fairly close to home but will follow people/kids occasionally. My landlord does not know my mother lives here with me in the other room.. because he would have charged me 150.00 more he said a month.. for another person. Although couples would be okay. Anyway.. I chose not to tell him.. because of that reason.. and he never comes here. I have been a good tenant for 3.5 years. I am not sure.. what to do now. My lease comes up for renewal in Feb. The lease ends either March or April 30th. The woman who use to live upstairs from me.. told me that the landlord one of the two.. told her they would take 1/2 your 1.5 months security deposit .. for a rental fee if you want to leave before the contract is up.. towards them renting it out. Not sure about the remainder of the lease months.. But.. that is what she told me they would do. I find it unusually they would not want the rest of the months rent until the end.. but.. this is what I was told. I don't want to mess myself up.. But.. I don't want to just up and leave.. because it can damage me later.. or .. I can be found. I don't need at 45 those head aches. I was going to go into to see the landlord.. when he is in the office.. and sit and tell him I would like to leave.. in Sept. However.. I am not sure.. if he will try to come in that month to rent it or.. wait until I am gone if he takes half of the security. I want to get out of the lease. I am going to tell him the truth my mom has cancer. I hope he understands. But.. I don't want him to see my mother or her room is occupied prior to leaving. I am classified as 100% poverty. I have only Social Security, am 63, on Survivors. I have no Food Stamps. I have less than $16,000 a year income. The cost of living here is very high. SS payments are a little higher here and in CA than in other places due to the high cost of living. I did not know that when I moved here. The high cost of living eats this up. I hate taking charity from food banks and hate food stamps. I did not move here due the pfd or the ss increase. The PFD was a perk but not a motive..Mine was taken from me when I could not pay my bills and could not get work. It was taken when I visited a church near the lawyer who took my PFD. I donated fifty dollars to the church. I will never give another cent to that denomination and it did not imply anything. Although I explained to the court that I could not get work when I was told I would be able to do so, , then I got down sick, and not able to work, have not enough to live on to meet my expenses for a healthy life style (I borrow money often to buy groceries and pay my medical bills, etc. Forget seeing a doctor.) they took myPFD any way. It would amount to about $100 a month. I have nothing but Social Security. I get a small amt of the pfd, very small, very. There is a reduced fee clinic; however after I pay the initial fee, the labs and the meds, xrays, etc., are extra. It saves nothing. They will only address one health issue at a time and I have many: Spastic colon, probably ulcers,stress, gall bladder, gerd, eye injury, need glasses, numb toes, cannot perspire, severe pain all below my waist , ad nauseum. I could not afford the meds I was prescribed lst time I went. I cannot get out of the apartment without someone stealing from me, comes in and steals, has a key. It makes me crazy. I must rush and rush to get back here, drives me insane. Steal food, steal sentimental things, have been concentrating on things my daughter gave me. My things have sentimental value to me, all of them. What I have left , what they did not steal from me outside of this state, rip off, get for nothing....much of which was expensive and which I paid hard earned cash from my paycheck and savings....the rest I had paid at least part of...they stole from me for little of nothing...criminals ran me out of my home competing for jobs.I have no intention of returning. I am not making out a will. Why? I have nothing. If I had something, I would get it now. I like money, things, I am the one with the cause for lawsuits. I also will not marry due to this. I have been denied legal assistance my entire life when others would be filthy rich. I have no , absolutely no, intention of marrying. None. I visited a place in the new york on 7/20 to sublet. On 7/24, i gave the tenant $500 check and wrote "deposit for sublease" on the check. We did not sign anything, we just discussed details, about how I will be collecting cash from the roommate living there and paying monthly check directly to the landlord and not her. She also said that she will be telling the landlord about the sublet, but it will still be her name on the lease, no signing with the landlord, just a contract between me and her. So we agreed to meet again on 7/27 to sign. Due to financial difficulties that arose, I could not take the apt. I called her on 7/26 (2 days later after the deposit) and told her I could not take the apt. I stopped the check. I saw online that she posted ads up(free) and they were taken down by 7/28. Does she have the right to my security deposit? She found another tenant to move in so there is no cost to her and the ads to post were on a free website. I volunteer right now at one place where they really appreciate the help. I've been looking for other opportunities as well, but no one ever responds. My replies to Craigslist and VolunteerMatch ads never get replied back to (the first few I tried were at least two months ago). VMs left for the volunteer coordinators at Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity went unanswered. I tried to volunteer at free medical clinics that claimed they were SO behind on office tasks, and I was rejected for not having enough experience (I worked in an office setting for two years). I didn't realize you needed more than two years' experience to do filing and callbacks. For free. And one hospital expected a $125 yearly "membership fee" to be one of their volunteers! I'm volunteering because I don't have a job yet and want to use my time productively; why would I pay them to work? I see all these pleas for help, but I'm starting to get cynical and wondering if they're actually hoping people will feel bad and say, "I don't have time, but here's a big check for you!" Like how some people ask for work but are really hoping for simple handouts instead? Is there really such a flood of volunteer applicants that they can go weeks or months without getting back to you? I'm a dressmaker/designer/pattern cutter, and used to advertise on gumtree, but they have recently begun to charge for this. Yesterday, Monday July 26th, we went to the State Fair. We had a wonderful time and were planning on going that day anyway. Especially when the header and footer are both advertising this years fair. When we get to the fair the parking attendant tells us that the free parking promo was from a few years ago and that a lot of people have complained about it. The $5 admission also wasn't a current promo. Having said that we were already planning to go yesterday anyway, this promo was just an added bonus. But it still bothers me that they wouldn't honor the promo. Especially since so many people have complained about it. They really have no excuse since they've had more than enough time to take down those pages. They must have had the same complaints last year. So my question is: is there some kind of class action lawsuit that can take place? I don't know how class action lawsuits work, btw. I apoligise as this is all over the place. But please help. me and my ex were going out for 15 months, and two months ago he dumped me, and immediately got with another girl. Resolved Question: Can I demand that my landlord pay for trash if the place was advertised to include all utilities?

I saw an ad on craigslist for a house, and it said that all utilities were included. When I signed the lease, I saw that water, gas, electricity, gardening, etc. were paid by the landlord, and that all other utilities (in my mind: phone, cable, internet) were to be paid by the tenant. But what I didn't notice until too late was that "trash" wasn't on there, and so I had to get the service put into my name. The landlord refused to pay for it, saying that it wasn't on the lease, which is what I signed, and I realize that. But given other things he's done, I know now that he did this on purpose to trick me into paying that utility, which is about $30 a month where I live and that's as low as it gets. I've since moved out of the house and have to sue him for my security deposit, which he never refunded. I'm doing this through small claims so there will be no attorney involved. I've been getting some free legal advice, but so far been mislead many times to the point I think I could get a better answer on here than through them. So my question is this: Can I also sue him for basically tricking me into paying for the trash service? I mean, I don't think it was that stupid of me to miss that the lease said "trash" when other things like water and electricity were on there. Do you think a judge would agree that the landlord was being misleading? I don't have the original ad that said that utilities were included, because it was on craigslist, and the ad has long since been taken down. I know $30 a month isn't too much money, but over the course of a year long lease it really adds up. Still, I don't want to sound like a (litigious) idiot in front of a judge. But I still don't think I'm a moron for missing "trash" when every other basic service was on there. o_0Oh, and I realize it was a long post, but if you read it you'll also see that I said that I'm suing him for not refunding my security deposit, which I'm certainly entitled to. He has my forwarding address, phone number, email, and anyway my mail from that address is forwarding to my new one, so it's not as though he couldn't get it to me. He won't return any of my calls or respond to any of my letters. I'm at the very least entitled to an explanation of why I haven't seen a cent of my security deposit, when I left the house in better condition than when I moved in. The reason the trash thing is annoying is that I was already paying more than the place was worth, for the convenience of having all my utilities included in the rent. I already have a script for my site, and if I charge smaller fee, create a user interactive friendly version, and implement my marketing plans, I could easily beat flippa. Flippa is making some good money (4-5k a day). Pros: make money from selling ad space and charging small fee. Not much competition. Cons: not really any. 2. I would buy golf bags, clubs, shoes, etc. Wholesale, and dropship them to customers on my website. The problem is, I'm competeting with huge names like golf galaxy, golfers union, and thousands of sites. 3. It would be like image shack. I placed this question here a week ago but I realize now I gave way too many details for anyone to want to read it. Executive summary and I am looking for the odds you place on the chances this marriage will last or succeed AND your best guess on the length of the marriage. Yes, this is really about my good friend's son! To keep it easy I will name the people with fake names: Ken is my friend's son, Patty is his ex-wife, and Don is her soon to be new husband. Ken and Patty were married for 8 years, had 3 kids together. I am very good friends with Ken's parents, especially the father in law. The father in law is close to Ken and as far as he knows there were no big problems. At least the kind of problems that would typically break up a marriage. After 8 years of marriage Patty starts placing ads on dating websites, she doesn't get any real responses and then she goes to craigslist (of all places.....) and apparently they have dating ads on craigslist. A man had placed an ad on craigslist that caught her eye, Patty made up a new email address and started communicating with him secretly. Over about 3 weeks things heated up quickly via email, all the while Ken had no idea anything weird is going on. It wasn't unusual for Patty to answer emails at night after the children were asleep. Yes, this is the shorter version! OK, Ken found the emails because Patty left the account open one day. Ken was crushed but confronted Patty. Patty wasn't the least bit interested in going to counseling with her husband. She told Ken she was going to pursue the relationship with Don. Ken, having still some pride left, told Patty that it had to be one way or the other but she couldn't have it both ways. Either they go to counseling and she stops seeing Don OR Ken would move out. Patty said she wouldn't stop seeing Don! (After just 2 dates at that point.) Ken had a business trip overseas he had to go on about a week after finding out about Don. He hoped that he would be gone for this 3 week trip and things would die down and then... well, maybe something could be salvaged. But no. Ken's flight left at 7 AM on his departure day for Europe and by noon that day she was on her third date with Don and this time she brought their three children along and had Don meet them at Chuckie Cheese!!! The next night after the kiddos were asleep, she had Don over to the house and slept with him in Ken and Patty's bed... and I don't mean they just slept. Don was not divorced from his second wife yet when he met Patty. Don was separated from his SECOND wife. Patty was lying to Don telling him she was separated from Ken, but she wasn't. Over the summer, I would like to start an online business. My goal is to eventually make six or more figures a year. I have a few ideas, but I'm not sure which idea sounds the most profitable. 1. A website where users can list, buy, sell, trade, and auction off websites and or domain names. A place whee people can buy and sell websites. I would allow people to create an account for free, and a seller could list his website or domain name for sale by paying a small fee. A other user could buy the site he/she wants with the buy now price, or be entered into the auction for the site where they compete with other people. Right now, there is only one site that does this called flippa.com. The problem is, everyone hates the high fee they charge to list a site (19 bucks). I already have a script for my site, and if I charge smaller fee, create a user interactive friendly version, and implement my marketing plans, I could easily beat flippa. Flippa is making some good money (4-5k a day). Pros: make money from selling ad space and charging small fee. Not much competition. Cons: not really any. 2. I would buy golf bags, clubs, shoes, etc. Wholesale, and dropship them to customers on my website. It would be a website where users pay a fee, and then they can store, host and share images on my secure server. 4. Sell hosting plans. Start a web hosting company. There is tons of competition. Over the summer, I plan on starting my own online company. I have made my decision on what I will do. It is a website where users can sign up for free, and sellers can list their website and or domain name for sale or auction. A buyer who is interested can purchase the website. The seller can post a snapshot of the website and post other info regarding his/her website. They can place the starting bid and or buy now price. I would make money by selling ad space, and by charging a very small fee for the seller to post his site for sale (this can also help by eliminating scammers trying to sell scam sites since scammers dont want to pay fees to post up a scam). The reason why i think this is a good idea is because people are now starting to "flip" websites (buy a website, fix it up, and sell it for profit. There is no real industry leading website available to buy and sell websites except for sitepoint.com, which does not have their main focus on the marketplace. If I market this site enough bringing targeted customers and visitors, this site could become a success. Since i have very good coding and design knowledge, I can easily create the site. I also have a marketing plan in place. My uncle, who markets sites for a living, thinks this site could have potential and says my marketing plan is perfect.
