Open Question: Subtitles: is it a choice of a nation's network, the nation, or the televison show, itself?

The other week, I was on youtube searching for a few random clips of one of my favorite shows, Heroes, when I happened to find some commercials of the show for other nations then the US. I only really found the commercials that would be shown in Japan and Germany, and both used subtitles for the clips they used to advertise with. However, this made me think of how some ( Spanish/Latin American ) channels I have dub over the American English speaking actors to Spanish for Spanish-speaking audiences. So it made me curious to *why they wouldn't dub the show Heroes for the audiences of those other nations it is broadcasted in? *Would the dubbing of the show come at the cost of the NBC network that produces the show or would this be the responsibility and be funded by the network in the other nation that the show is being broadcasted in? Open Question: Is what my apartment complex doing legal?

I have lived in this apartment complex for the past year in Florida. When I was looking around I found that this place was the best price and in the ads I saw they offered a lot of great amenities. They told me when I moved in that the fitness center and pools would be open in the next month (they were going through some renovations). Every few months I would ask and they would tell me the same thing. I finally talked to them a few months ago and asked that they lower my rent because the pool and fitness center were not completed. They told me that because they are amenities and are essentially free that they don't actually have to have them there. Is this legal? Isn't this false advertising? Is there something that I can do about it other than wait until my contract is up? more

Here is a copy of my email to Nintendo and their response about the Wii Fit plus being sold as a game and not a free upgrade to exsisting Wii Fit owners! Raging Wii Fitters unite! Please tell me that the reports I'm reading out of e3 are wrong regarding the wii fit plus. I have read that present owners of the wii fit are going to have to purchase the new wii fit plus. Is the correct? If so what a slap in the face to the consumers that you have ridden to surge ahead of your competitors. I personally have raved to all my firends what a great product the wii is and the wii fit has I my strengthened my belief. With the wii fit you deffinately get what you put into it. While it is good I was looking forward to an upgrade in regards to more exercises and setting up work outs. My feeling is that nintendo has an obligation to it's loyal customers to provide great customer service just as we have supported you in this horrible economic climate. The wii fit plus is not a new game but an upgrade of the exsisting game and thus should be treated as such. Computer companies provide service updates to their software as should nintendo. Learn a bit from Apple in this area as well as customer service and how to maintain brand loyalty. While the quality of the product has much to do with it the customer service and support are as equally as important! We put up with the subpar graphics for the fun that the nintendo brand stands for. My feeling is that if the report is true I will rage against nintendo as much as I was a cheerleader I will be an advocate against; you already shook me down for a game. Bundling the controller with the wii play; that was a ripoff but I swallowed it. I will not swallow this! Do right by those that have been and are doing right by you. I advertised that people can come and dig it for free if they want it. One man came and told me he is putting it in a field to feed his cows. I asked him if it was safe for them to eat? He told me of farmer that had a cow that was nearing it's milk producing age. They let this cow eat a large amount of this plant. And as a result the cow produced more milk and thicker cream. I did reopen a closed thread three days ago, because one of the moderators says that I had opened it in the wrong section. I opened it again in it's proper place and it stayed open for two days. A moderator and charter members even joined in. It was closed again due to wrong category, I complained and they asked if I would like it moved instead of closed. I said yes, it was moved and reopened by the moderator. It raises tons of money for companies selling adspace, which they make off of impressions(micro pennies on the dollar)while providing an inexpensive solution for their corporate(giant ants) clientele(5 million dollars for 5 billion impressions is a great deal for these money masters.). Meanwhile, millions of visited sites created by common citizens are being exploited. They pour their hearts and souls into these sites so that the masses(they hope)will enjoy their works. Then these diligent, hardworking little ants try to find a way to eat. Uh oh, here comes corporate America(giant ants)with some good news, "You can put our names and images on the face of every page in your entire web body and if somebody clicks on us we'll pay you a quarter." The little ant(common citizen)replied, "Wow, big brother, a Quarter, if I get three of those I can get a candy bar, thanks!" The little ants put their(big bother ant's)ads up and are immediately deemed sellouts by the crowd. Whether it be a nascar racer with too many stickers on his helmet, or a boxer, with Larry's Hardware on his a$$, that has no heart. The real sellouts are the manipulated masses that allow inexpensive to nearly free brainwashing through and by big brother ant(Corporate America) impressions. Here's the solution, exploit Corporate America back. Click on at least two ads or more that you see on every site you visit that allows you to absorb the little ants(common citizens)juices for free. Who cares if you're interested in what the ad that you're clicking on has to offer(these ads are still impressing into your brain, make them pay for those impressions)? This is about Eclipse promotions in Lincoln. They are a branch of Endeva Advertising in Nottingham and the Cobra group. I went for an interview and they completely treated me like **** and lied. They said I would be on a wage but when I was successful they didnt tell me it was a commision based job the other candidates told me. They tried made us start at 8am in the morning and didnt let us leave until midnight they were always trying to make me ferry people around in my car. The worst thing is we only had 3 hours to try selling and the rest of the time we had to fanny around in the office for free or travel aro8nd train to bus to train and not paying for travel. They completely lie to the donators! The job was door to door sales and to make people donate £1.50 by direct debit. We were told to say that 100% of the £1.50 the person donates will go straight to the charity whereas in fact, every penny goes to the hands of Endeva and they split the amount raised. Reps and these marketing companies are paid out of the money people pay and they choose how much goes to the charity. The reps travel throughout the UK but as far as I know eclipse and endeva travel across east midlands to leicester, sleaford, nottingham, chesterfield etc. Dont pay donate through these people, donate online so then youre getting the most out of your money to the charity. The charities they represent include NDCS, British Red cross, WWF, RSPB and more charities. And do NOT work for these people they will disrespect you, make you give up relationship's unless he/she also works for the company, make you cancel hospital appointments pre arranged, and if you wont let them use your own car, they will say "your car is knackered anyway" and will try to bully you into using it to ferry around the people who dont have cars. Someone on the web who also used to work for endeva said he was stripped of every sale he made just because he quit! These companies save so much money by not paying staff travel expenses, and not paying for labour. Unless you want all the disadvantages of being self employed with all the disadvantages of employment (stupid hours made by the company MONDAY - SATURDAY 80+ HOURS PER WEEK and commission only based pay during what little time you spend selling) STAY AWAY! more
