I am a stay at home mom to 2 small children. I do most of the cooking and desperately need a diet plan. I need to loose at least 40 pounds and my husband needs to loose a little more. I am a complete idiot when it comes to dieting. What are to best plans when cooking for a family. My children are not picky but when it comes to dieting my husband is. I like working in FEMM, and others on a website and I have been working on a special generator that is 3-phase AC. I know all about conservation of energy, but imagine a ring magnet, magnetized diametrically. There is a laminated silicon steel toroid core with a very small airgap between it and the magnet (which spins at 3,600 RPM). The toroid has a 'U shaped' rod wich has a coil wrapped on it. As the magnet spins, the flux through the U-shape will alternate, and doesn't affect the rotor. Lenz's law will still occur when the counter field is created by inducing a current, but it doesn't seem like it'd affect the rotor either... I lost the animation that shows the same thing relative to the rotor, and there is no change in position from the magnet to the toroid. Any help? Resolved Question: is symantec antivirus good enough or will i need more?

i went to a website called "Ziddu.com" and the internet froze and all applications stopped working, then a virus protection that i did not even have installed came up and said i had some viruses and they will remove them for $50. thing is i already had a virus protection installed called symantec anti-virus and i scanned the whole computer and 2 viruses came up called "trojan.fakeav" then it multiplied and became 4. symantec said if i restart it will clean out the viruses. and when i did a full scan again it said there was no viruses. then after that i played counter-strike 1.6 and there were a lot of duplicate servers, and when i clicked one of them symantec said it found a "backdoor.trojan" so i cleaned it and then it removed the risks after cleaned. 2 days later my computer was working fine and then when i turned the screen off and came back to the computer 2 hours later it said it found another virus called "backdoor.trojan". and now today i did another full scan and left the computer alone and it said it found another "backdoor.trojan". someone lead me to a virus protection software that will protect me from viruses and spyware. if you guys know one that is free and works good, let me know. and if none of the free virus protections are any good someone lead me to a good virus/spyware protection that costs money. but let me know of the free one first. more

I'm using a hit counter from an external website called free-website-hit-counters.com, but I can always switch to a code based hit counter. Anyway, I check up on my website a lot, to make sure updates worked and such, and it counts those as hits, which is causing it to give me an unrealistically high hit count. Is there any way to make it so it won't count hits from my IP address or something? Just so you know, I do not know how to code a counter from scratch yet, and the code I'm using right now does not have a field for the IP address. Such premature labeling can lead some adolescents to engage in homosexual behaviors that carry serious physical and mental health risks. In June I'm flying for the first time with my daughter, she'll be 1 at the time. On Delta's website, they said you can check car seats and strollers for free at the baggage counter or at the gate. I was just gonna check her car seat at the baggage counter, then bring her stroller from gate to gate so I don't have to cart her around since I'm a pretty small person and already have trouble carrying her. They don't specify a size that the stroller's checked at the gate have to be, so is there a size that is too large that they won't accept? Okay, so I just found out from researching the fine print in the obama Healthcare Bill that was posted on the obama Website, that if we dont buy Health Insurance, we will be fined, taxed, or Jailed?? Firstly, how is this not a tax? Essentially it seems like the goverment is (((FORCING))) us to spend money, then taxing us or penalizng or even jailing us if we dont? Secondly, this is a$$ backwards.. Okay, so if you dont pay X amount of money for Healthcare, and you dont want to pay the penalty fees that you will likely be forced to pay for not spending what you are instructed/ forced to spend, the goverment is going to jail you, thus forcing the taxpayers to house you, feed you, and provide you with free medical that comes with being jailed all at about 76k per year?????? WHAT?? So if you dont pay a few thousand dollars, were just going to spend nearly 80 grand to jail you PER YEAR!!! Thats more than 80% of americans make in a year??!! Does anyone else see "Jail-Time" counter-productive to enforcing financial laws/ things of that nature. Not to ramble, but is it not a little excessive? If you dont pay 2k in taxes that you owe, they would be perfectly willing to send you to jail, where taxpayers pay a grand total of nearly 80 thousand per year to house (((ONE SINGLE INMATE))), I really dont understand goverment, and the way some of these laws work. Is anyone as confused as me, or dose anyone else see this as retarded? I will be going to Puerto Rico in a little over a week and am trying to decide about a car rental. Not whether or not to do it because we will be renting a car (we have hotels in a few different places), but about what options to get with the rental. I currently have three reservations. One is for Thrifty, one is Budget, one is Enterprise. I am trying to decide which to cancel and what insurance/options I need. My insurance- I have full coverage- covers me in Puerto Rico. My husband's insurance company- though he also has full coverage- does not cover Puerto Rico. He will be doing most of the driving (because of what I have read about the driving there I am afraid to drive there, esp. in San Juan). So... THRIFTY Rental is at airport and we would have it from when we land until we leave. Total Base Rate for a compact car is $136.45 (5 days @ $27.29/day with Unlimited Miles)...this does not include their extra options of the Loss Damage Waiver ($15/day), Personal Protection Plan ($6/day), Supplemental Liability Ins ($8/day). I believe they also charge extra for additional drivers even if the additional driver is a spouse. Thrifty requires the purchase of Loss Damage Waiver if you don't show proof that your insurance will cover a rental car in PR. From their website: LDW is Optional If customer is paying with a credit card that extends coverage options to PUERTO RICO or renter presents verification of personal insurance coverages at rental counter. Personal insurance must be accompanied by a letter stating that the customers insurance policy will cover the rental car in Puerto Rico. All credit cards and insurances are subject to verification and acceptance at rental counter. If neither stipulation is met - customer will be required to purchase LDW cost USD 14.95 - 16.95/day. Optional Third Party Liability cost USD 7.95/day If LDW is declined is MANDATORY for customer to purchase the Third Party Liability and would be responsible for the full value of the vehicle. BUDGET Same car class, same rental period is $234. Spouse is free as additional driver. I think enterprise is the best option but my husband doesn't want to deal with going back to the airport to get the car/cabs/etc. My real question- is the LDW really worth the cost? I wanna hear what you guys think the cowboys should be doing this off-season after their all-around incredible performance yesterday. Personally, the first thing that needs to be done is fire jason garrett. I mean when you have a website dedicated to firing an OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR then it should probably be done (firejasongarrett.com). I found it hard to find one good call on offense yesterday starting from helping doug free on jered allen (which didn't happen). They couldn't dial up a quick play to counter the pressure and they couldn't keep Tony Romo off the ground. Even I know when you're down, you can't call long pass plays, I mean the defense is expecting that and the Vikings didn't even allow a play to develop!! As far as offseason player moves, I think the cowboys need a true player at either SS or FS, because I think Sensabaugh and Hamlin combined for 1 int this entire season. Neither player is a factor in any game I've seen, if anything, Sensabaugh should stay for his performance this season although I'm not entirely sure after that pathetic effort on the 40 yd TD pass to Rice yesterday. It's unfortunate what's happened at that position considering the cowboys had Roy Williams and Darren Woodson at safety in 2003 when they had the #1 D. Aside from that, their CB play was a lot better than expected with Jenkins who probably deserved a pro bowl spot. Newman wasn't awful, although the TD to Brandon Marshall that won the game for the Broncos sticks in my head. The defensive front 7 was incredible this season, however brooking who's shown himself to be the leader of the defense will probably retire or leave. I don't know if he requires a replacement though, I think bradie james and bobby carpenter could start. Offensively, maybe a switch away from Marion barber could occur, considering they really didn't implement him at all due to his injuries and problems towards the end of the season. Roy Williams definitely needs to go, maybe in a trade for a better WR that can catch like Anquan Boldin. Although Crayton had a decent season and maybe they could improve a different position by trading him away and giving Crayton and Hurd and Ogeltree a chance to show us what they got. Something needs to happen with the O-Line especially if Adams is truly done at LT. I would instantly proclaim a super bowl berth if the cowboys could trade picks and players to get Nnamdi Asomugha at CB alongside Mike Jenkins!!!!!! But, knowing Jerry Jones, a player like that is too good and not high-profile enough to be on the cowboys. LaMountain In 1982, in its Plyler v. Doe ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court obligated America's public elementary and secondary schools to educate children who are illegal immigrants. Since then, Americans have doled out untold billions to this end. With a new school year recently begun, let's look at what Plyler costs taxpayers in one Portland-area school district: No. 48 in Beaverton. As children from Latin America comprise the great majority of students here illegally, we'll start by examining some national statistics regarding Hispanics and work our way down to the local level. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, some 34 percent of the more than 45 million Hispanics residing in America are under 18. The Pew Hispanic Center estimates that Mexico and its southern neighbors contribute four-fifths of our illegal immigrants (commonly believed to number 12 million to 20 million); the Federation for American Immigration Reform, that some 15 percent of illegal immigrants are school-aged children. However sensitive the fact may be, what all this means is that between 9.4 percent and 15.6 percent of Hispanic children in America are here illegally. From these figures, how many Hispanic illegal-immigrant students can we estimate are enrolled in the Beaverton School District? In the most-recently completed (2008-09) school year, according to the district's Website, student enrollment was 37,552; 7,702 of the students were Hispanic. Between 724 and 1,202 of those Hispanic students -- 9.4 percent to 15.6 percent of their total number -- likely were here illegally. What did they cost taxpayers? According to the district, in 2008-09 Beaverton schools' base per-student expenditure was some $8,400 (the general-fund operating budget of $315.6 million divided by student enrollment of 37,552). Each English-language learner -- which, by very conservative estimate, likely included half, or between 362 and 601, of the district's Hispanic illegal-immigrant students -- cost taxpayers another $3,000. More, each child participating in the free- and reduced-lunch program got a federal subsidy of some $260. Washington County's Hispanic children, according to the county's Commission on Children and Families, are four times more likely to live in poverty than its white children; possibly three-quarters of the district's Hispanic illegal-immigrant students, then, received taxpayer-subsidized lunches. So the total estimated cost of Beaverton School District's Hispanic illegal-immigrant students in the 2008-09 school year: between $7.3 million and $12.1 million. Add the estimated one-fifth of illegal-immigrant students who are other than Hispanic, and taxpayers likely spent between $9.1 million and $15.2 million educating and feeding all the district's illegal-immigrant students -- an amount equal to 2.8 percent to 4.8 percent of the general-fund operating budget. Now, to counter recession-induced budget shortfalls, in the past year Portland-area schools have reduced teaching staffs, increased classroom sizes, and slashed extracurricular activities. It must be asked: If not for illegal-immigrant students, how many new teachers could have been hired and existing ones retained? How much more attention could teachers devote to their other students? How many arts and athletic programs could be saved or expanded? The bottom line is this: Americans do not owe educations to illegal immigrants. Our first, foremost, and most sacred responsibility is to our own children. And we beggar our children's education -- and future -- when we spend scarce tax dollars on those who are in our nation illegally. Portland-area school boards should lobby Oregon's Congressional delegation to introduce legislation to overturn Plyler, and to allow America's school districts to require proof of U.S. citizenship or legal U.S. residence from their students. hello: On the Ambien CR website, it mentions something about trying the medicine for 7-days for free; however to do that you have to take some signed certificate to your pharmacy and have them fill it (I think is how it works, correct me if I'm wrong of course!!) That is just a coupon/voucher and kinda hassle. I ask because normally when I see my doctor and she has a medicine that she wants me to start taking or whatever, she almost always has at least a few samples of it to send me home with. This is much easier for me & makes more sense, and I can start taking it immediately. But when I last asked my Dr. about trying Ambien CR instead of just the plain Ambien (I wake up a lot during the night so I thought I would try a few nights & see how it goes), she didn't have any samples of the CR at all. The only advice she had was to go online and print out a coupon from the Ambien website. I just find this strange kind of? Now to part 2 of my question 8-} Just by chance, I went to a friends house that day after the doctor, and she had some sample packets of Ambien CR laying on the kitchen counter....just 1 of those weird timing things I guess lol?! So I asked her if she had to pick them up from a pharmacy & she said no. Her doctor gave them to her?? She had about 5 or 6 little packets that each had 2 Ambien CR pills in them. Weird I thought........ Ok so I'll end this on up LOL The next day I called my doctor (the same one that did not have any samples for me the day before) & quickly told her the story. She was baffled also & said that she gets samples of ALL kinds of new medications in her office almost daily. But the company that makes Ambien, um I forgot the name, has never sent or given her office any type of actual samples that they could offer patients. NOW. I'M TOTALLY CONFUSED? Where did my friend get those? Or why does my Dr. not have them? So now I guess the thing I'd like to ask you all is, have YOU ever gotten a few sample pills from your Dr. directly & if so did it come in smaller packs of 2 pills per each sample? I just don't know what the truth is here or why it is so confusing. and so anyone's help would be a huge help for me in figuring this out.1 more thing to add here is that I went to like google images and yahoo images & typed in like "ambien cr sample pack" and a ton of other things like that in hopes that maybe I could find a photo of what their samples even look like OR I guess even more importantly, just IF the maker of Ambien CR even makes samples or such things? I got my friend all scared, yes the friend that DID get the samples (those few with 2-pills in a pack). Now she is scared to take any of them & thinks for some reason that maybe they are fakes or something or gosh I don't have a clue!
