Open Question: Best Way to Publish Website?

Here's the deal. I just want a freakin website. I'm trying to make a website for my cystic fibrosis organization. I guess I jumped in without enough research, but I already bought a $70/yr. hosting plan (HostMonster.com) and a domain name. After thinking about it more, I didn't like the domain that I bought, so I bought another one (not through HostMonster). I bought the second name that I am going to use through NetFirms.com, but only bought the domain name, not a hosting plan or anything. I am trying to find the best way to make my website. I know only the VERY basics of HTML, if even that. I know like 2 symbols (or whatever they're called) and that's it. So no, I can't make a website from "scratch". I need a site builder. I downloaded (for free) the "Yahoo! Site Builder" and it was just about perfect. It worked great and it's pretty much just what I need. Customizable enough and easy for the most part. Although since I'm not on a Yahoo hosting plan, it's wayyy more difficult to publish the site. I have to save all the files, etc. Then I go to my hosting website (hostmonster.com) and log in. They have an "Unlimited FTP" option. I contacted their support via email and got a LITTLE BIT of instruction as to how to go about publishing my site to my 2nd domain that I transferred to HostMonster. They weren't super helpful, though. I even made a screencast video showing them my problem and they didn't seem to understand. Anyways, I transferred what I thought was all my files from my Yahoo! Site Builder website that I had made (through the Unlimited FTP) to my website on HostMonster. But the images weren't showing up and it was all very confusing! I think the most logical, easiest solution would be to just pay an extra $90 a year or whatever (on top of the $75 from my HostMonster plan) and get a Yahoo! Web Hosting account/service thing. But that's just too much. I know it would make publishing the website so much easier but I can't do it. I'm only 14 years old, no job, and don't get allowance. So I don't have the money for that. But I don't know what to do. So if anyone has any CHEAP suggestions of what to do, that'd be wonderful. I don't care if it's a super cheap hosting plan that I could easily upload my site files onto to publish or if it's another idea. I just need a cheap solution since I'm now broke. Thanks! more

Open Question: Best dog breed for me? - narrowed down to three?

I've been reading up on training, health care, breeds, showing, agility & breeding dogs since the start of 2009. Not that long, but I think I've just about got the basics under control with Health, Breeding, Showing and Choosing The Right Puppy - the ones I see as important. :) When I went to the Library a few months ago (he he) I accidentally picked up a German Shepherd book. I read it, and started doing some google-ing and asking on other sites. I then went in search of Labrador Books, Golden Retriever books, Jack Russell, Doberman, Rottweiler, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier books. These are the main dogs that I find appealing. I dug around in each of these breeds, and narrowed down the three that would be best suited for me. 1. Golden Retriever 2. Labrador Retriever 3. German Shepherd I love the look of Golden Retrievers, though all three of these would be greatly suited into my home. It was really hard to narrow it down to three, as I've always liked the look of Goldens and all I wanted to do was add Golden Retrievers to my list, he he. I'd like some opinions from people who do own/have owned these three breeds. A few main questions I'd like answered, I'm not really sure how to phrase them without sounding...Picky? GOLDEN RETRIEVER 1. Did you have any problems teaching your Golden certain behaviors? 2. Was it hard to keep your Golden at heel and/or close by on walks? 3. Did your Golden get along with other dogs? 4. Was your Golden picky when it came to food? 5. Was your Golden obsessive over balls/frisbees/games? These sound very...Odd, seeing as the books & such actually tell you that every Golden is different, that aggression can be caused by all sorts of things, etc, but I'd like to know how many of you (if any) have had these problems with your Golden Retrievers. LABRADOR RETRIEVER 1. Was your Lab 'piggy' like they're said to be? Did you have to have timed feeding, or were you able to free feed and keep him in good shape? 2. Was your Lab hard, easy, or average to teach? How quickly did he learn, roughly? 3. Was he sociable? 5. Did he play well with other dogs, or did YOU need to step in at some point? Again, these are normally answered in each book I've read, but I'd like an owners view, too. GERMAN SHEPHERD 1. Was your GSD hard to teach? 2. Did you ever have aggression issues? If so, was it 'easy' to overcome them? 3. Do you have problems with food and your GSD, or doesn't he mind you taking it away, petting him while he's eating, etc? 4. (My main worry) Was your GSD obsessive? Toys, clothes, chews, food, cars, kids, etc. 5. Was he easy to live with? Did he chew when left alone, etc. AGAIN, these are answered in MOST books about the breed, but I want an owners view. Any additional information would be great, because, although books and web searches are a great source of information, I'd really like to know what owners of these breeds think. :) ADDITIONAL INFO (Me) I live in a two story council house (2 pets is the limit, pets count as only cats and dogs) with one cat & two other people. I don't have a dog at this time. The back garden is fenced in with a 6ft. paneled fence. It's broken up into three sections; the patio where the dog would be allowed out unsupervised, a 'nature' spot where there are two ponds and is quite a bit of grass where the dog would be allowed when somebody is out to keep an eye on him, and then another grassy part which leads into a large, unused meadow surrounded by trees. This is where I would let him run as a puppy before he has all his vaccinations as I know for a fact nobody and nothing goes up there and there is less chance of him catching a virus. He would only be allowed in this part with a person, preferably me. My cat, who is 7 y/o, is an indoor & outdoor cat. My floors are linoleum & tile. I'm home all day every day. I have plenty of spare time throughout the day to; walk, train, groom and play with a puppy. As this will be my second ever dog, I would be obtaining a puppy from a reputable breeder. He would be male. I would want the opportunity to show and breed him, IF I ever decide to, though I want him as a family companion, so I very much doubt I'd breed or Show him. I'd love to rescue a dog, though I'd like to know all that I can about the puppy. In the future I plan to, either: foster or rescue. I don't plan on rushing into buying a puppy. I want to find a good breeder, have an emergency fund, enough for insurance, and I'd like to know everything I can about training, health and the breed BEFORE I look for breeders. Well, atm, that all I can think of. I added as much info. as I thought was needed. All answers will be appreciated, and I'll be open minded. :)I thought I must add, that I live in the UK and some of the Bully breeds are banned. I'm really not sure all of the banned breeds, so I haven't been looking in to getting such dogs, as I wouldn't be able to! :) more

My parents divorced a long time ago. My father had another woman for years, helped to raise her children and had a daughter with her (all while he was married to my mom). He never spent quality time with me, never took me for a walk or to the beach, never asked me how things were at school. He spent all his free time with other family and slept in our house at night. He was telling us that his business takes all his free time and we believed and supported him. I personally had to bring his dinner to bed, because he was to "tired" to have it with us at the table. So, long story short... After my mom found out about the whole thing, she filed for divorce. My father got very mad, telling her that she broke the family and became very abusive towards her, and, for some reason, me. We filed a lot of police reports, but we lived in a different country, where laws were to weak to keep us safe. He almost got me and my mom into a car accident, by chasing us on the highway, he ripped clothes from my mom in the middle of the night and pushed her outside the apartment standing in the public hallway, he would call my grandmother (my mom's mother) and would tell her the way he would cut our stomachs and hang us on the tree, he wrote a car on my name (faking my signature) as a "gift", parked it somewhere and never payed taxes, so now I own a lot of money in another country and have no idea how to stop that debt from getting higher each year. I found out about the car when a friend of mine that works for the government emailed me and asked me what would l like to do with that?! After all that, one winter day, me, my mom and my grandmother run away from that nightmare. At least we thought so. 5 years later my father found me on one of the social web sites. He sent me an email saying how much he misses me and that he wants to keep in touch. It was a week ago. My sleepless nights started. I thought he would never have a nerve to search for us, think of us or contact us. I'm an adult now, happily married and having a baby soon. My home is closed for my father, I'll never let him into my personal life. The only thing that bothers me, if he would die tomorrow, would I regret that I didn't answer to his email today? I probably would. If he is a bad person, that doesn't make me a bad person, but... If he will live for 30 years, trying to hurt me again... maybe it's better to cry after his death rather than suffer from his actions now and for 30 years? Maybe he already had his chance and made his choices? People might say that he's still my father, but he was never one for me, I never felt that he cared. I think that person is an evil.
