Resolved Question: I bought a domain name and am kind of lost on hosting. I would really like to find free redirection?

I have a domain name registered with Google (gdomains through godaddy). I really love having everything handled through Google. I love the email, I'm used to the platform for my DNS settings, I like their file hosting, I have advertising credit, the registration price is perfect and includes 50 usernames and 90 CNAMES. The only thing is I really really don't like the Google Sites hosting platform. I know this isn't ideal but I'm really not ready to do a full transfer to a new host. Basically I just want something that will allow me to redirect my already registered domain name to a basic webpage that I can create through the host site. I have my own layout coded and everything and had my site up on Blogger, which was pretty close to how I want it in terms of features but it wasn't giving me the freedom I wanted to add extra pages and things like that. To water it down my site is basically a "blog" but I need 5 separately archived pages so you can see how that would be a problem with something like Blogger. Especially with my CNAMES because blog sites don't allow naked URLs. I use Webs for free hosting on smaller projects but I'm not sure if I trust them with my domain, plus I can't afford a premium package right now. I don't need the extra storage space or any of the other perks of a package deal right away, I know if I start getting traffic I will need to upgrade but I already have more than enough assets through Google to get started. Just lately there have been a lot of private sellers and several business sellers advertising a so called slimming product I thought I should warn you what I have found out from personal research about this so called "amazing" product. A lot of private sellers are selling this because they have been stung by a website on the interenet ,I know this for a fact because I was also silly enough to buy into it.Being desperate to loose weight after having my son and having tried almost every method you can name I stumbeled accross an advert on the internet for a free trial of this amazing product cho yung tea ,it looked ligit sounded great so I signed up agreeing to pay only £1.99 in postage to get a months "FREE" trial, in due course my tea came and I started it eagerley . Now firstly you need to know this is NOT a free trial as I later found out way too late, just over a month after I had my tea. The people at cho yung tea then took my bank details and used them to do there flamin' shopping in Israel via my debit card money, I did not authorise them to take any money apart from the P+P for my "FREE TRIAL" to be sent to me. I was lucky enough for my bank to notice it so they contacted me straight away and gave me my money back and got there Fraud Squad on to it. On doing further research I discovered a whole heap of people on the web who too had been conned by these people some loosing as much AS £48 - £72.50 "a packet of tea" .There is a link on Martins money saving tips website about this (the guy off the tv who exposes people like this). Now I don't begrudge these people who have,like me,been ripped off ,selling this tea to try and get their money back but what I do object to and wanted to warn others about is what Ive since discovered about the tea. It contains powerful laxatives which give you dirrohea and mess with your stomach and bowels ,yes you will loose weight at first but this is due to it literally dehydrating your body of neccessary water!!I Have this on the advise of my GP. It claims to reduce bloating but after a month of being on it you WILL bloat ,you very well may,like me,get incredible stomach pain, you may feel sick and tierd all the time, your breath may begin to smell foul and your tounge may grow a coating as the stomach lining is actually broken down by this foul stuff. All of this happened to me when I drank the stuff ,it also has stuff in it to get you addicted to drinking it. None of these things are mentioned on the packet or on the website or in sellers listings . I lost quite a bit of weight but then it stopped and I started getting ill, blood in the motions, incredible pain in the abdomen etc etc .People, it simply isn't worth it .please please please if you are thinking of getting this stuff ask your Gp about the stuff in its ingredients and be careful. Trading standards are looking into loads of complaints about people not only being ripped off moneywise by this thieving company but also people being ill because of the stuff in this tea something I've not seen any seller yet admit to. Hi, I am a recent college graduate who after a year of post graduate internet enteprenuerhip am having to look elsewhere to for income due to a lack of sales and advertising revenue. I have hit snag in adding some technical names referring to specific development tools. This is because some of these names when spelled correctly (ex: "OpenSocial") can appear to the untrained eye as a typographical error (ex: they think "OpenSocial" should by "Open Social"). This is not huge concern of mine if the reader is qualified to evaluate these technical aspects, but I fear it could be a disaster if sent to the human resources department of a large company. Voting Question: Is it possible to standardize advertising in global markets?

If a company wanted to go global with their product, would they first look for similarities in their own and the foreign market and try to standardize the advertising as much as possible in order to save money or would they try to adapt to the foreign market first? Which makes more sense, looking for similarities first or just realizing straight away that the cultures are so different that you would get better results if you tailored the advertising message to the market? Is there such a thing as a completely culture free product? Sorry I'm so confused. We'll write an exam in our marketing class on the topic in march and I found different information on the web. My husband and I are looking to make a website for our small business. We know the domain name isn't taken and we just want something simple like 1 page with info about the company, so people will see it when they search on google etc... I don't have any experience building websites, so I need some help. We're looking for something that looks decent, but we don't have a lot of $$ to spend. When looking at sites like Go Daddy, iPage, etc... these all advertise things like free domain for life or 3.95/month. I know these would be easier to build a website on, but is "renting" my domain name the best option? Is it possible to just buy the domain name forever? If I do one of these and they go under, do I still have my domain name to switch to another service? Do these services produce decent pages? I just don't want to get scammed since I don't know much about it. Or would I be better off to just go to a local web hosting company? I have been out of the loop for a while and am looking for good resources to use for SEO research for PPC advertising. I used to use Overture's keyword tool to not only find good keywords but get a good idea of the number of searches on the keywords. This tool is no longer available. Google's interface doesn't seem to have an easy way to estimate search traffic before adding keywords (unless I'm just missing where to do that) The free version Wordtracker is ok (http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com) Does anyone have a compiled list of good resources of SEO tools (both paid and free are fine, but I prefer free of course) that you use? I've been putting up with ZoneAlarm's nonsense for far too long. Upon starting my computer I am greeted with a large advertisement with two buttons, one of which opens up Firefox (to further lag my loading time) and the other of which usually doesn't respond for a minute or so. Furthermore, ZoneAlarm has this bad habit of blocking port 80 (HTTP, i.e. the internet as through web browsers) when web traffic gets too high or certain sites are visited (thorough searches from every adware, spyware, virus, etc. program I can get my hands on show nothing's wrong). This makes it so that when attempting to visit a website, the browser will continue "waiting" for it to respond until the cows come home. I have to restart to fix the problem. Even worse, if I do not restart immediately or I attempt to close and reopen Firefox (it says that firefox.exe is still running and I can't end the process) it freezes my computer and any attempt at a reboot fails - I have to hard reset using the power button. Fortunately, other ports are not blocked - IM clients, games, and whatnot continue to function. My IM buddies can attest to the fact that I constantly have to reboot my computer. This occurs at least on a daily basis and, frankly, I am tired of it. However, in other aspects, ZoneAlarm has served me well. For example, I have caught a few programs trying to sneak internet access at random times. Internet Explorer is one of them - even though I have never run IE on this computer, it regularly requests access about once every 5 seconds, which can cause problems when doing anything full screen. I ended up permanently blocking it for this reason and have pledged to myself never to use IE again. (I use Portable Firefox on other computers.) Adobe products of all sorts have the same problem - upon starting, they all demand access to the internet, even though none of them have any reason for doing so. Now, the program filtering is a necessary evil for me, but the advertising and the random port 80 blocking is too much. So, are there any (preferably free, but I won't be too hopeful) alternatives to this feature? I have searched all sorts of places but cannot seem to find anything. more

I am thinking of starting an ISP business, reselling broadband internet. My Unique Selling Point would be to have access to known advertising sites blocked at the nameserver level. With no need to download any software, it would be automatically compatible with Mac, Linux, Windows and any Operating System to be invented in future. You just get the Internet ..... with gaps where the adverts aren't. Nobody else seems to be offering such a thing, yet to me it seems so blindingly obvious. I can get wholesale broadband to resell; and even running a couple of servers in co-lo for my specially-munged DNS and customers' e-mail and web sites, I could turn a profit.
