They have a superstar(s) who were once with the competition, they could say that Kaval was once in TNA or Bryan Danielson was in ROH, or Christian was once in TNA. Do you think WWE should start doing this? I do, because, WWE not doing this, they think they are the best, and they are the # 1 wrestling promotion, or the most popular, but, TNA features better wrestling than WWE at times. If WWE feels so surely that they are # 1, they would risk that and give the competition, whether that be ROH or TNA, some type of free publicity, getting that show watched, and then the fans could really decide whether WWE are actually # 1. Hello there, Just today an idea crossed my mind for a sort of spoof on The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. The real reason why I want to write this was because I really enjoyed the novel and it is my favourite in the world. However, I can't write a book like it or about it because it would be downright stupid not to mention plagiarism. Therefore, I came up with my own idea...sort of! It is here, in this world of magic, elves, and dwarves that he discovers something has gone terribly wrong. Tyler wasn't so much a fan of fantasy and only read The Lord of the Rings at his best friend's behest. However, now he is smack in the middle of it since he put on what is none other than the One Ring that dissapeared from Frodo Baggins not long before while the Fellowship of the RIng are making their way through the Mines of Moria, before Gandalf the Grey gets taken by the Balrong. Natrually, the Fellowship takes him captive in an attempt to get the Ring and find out what happened. The only problem is that he can't take it off! =========================> So what do you think? Could I pull a stunt like that? Or would it be a total waste of time? The debate about gay rights and the issue of gay marriage has raged in the United States for quite some time now, and I have been a strong believer in the right to marry and adopt for several years. My reasoning is probably the same as many other pro-rights people. I know that while the decision to acknowledge one's homosexuality is a choice, it is not a choice to be homosexual. So one could live their life with someone of the opposite sex, sure. But I believe that the point of life is to live it happily, and if that involves being with the same sex, then there is no reason not to. I want all couples to have the right to marry for both emotional and financial reasons. Married couples can share insurance, while unmarried couples cannot. And since gay couples cannot marry, they cannot have that benefit. That is unfair. People preach about abused, unwanted children. But do they realize how many of them would have a home if gays could marry, and therefore adopt? The inability to bear children will lead to adoption, and give so many children a loving family. And before anyone says anything about the "psychological trauma" they would face; I know many people who grew up with a mother and father, and the home situation was atrocious. But no one complains then. The sanctity of marriage is no longer a factor. Every day people marry on a whim. It is fully possible to get married in a matter of minutes in Las Vegas, at the Hooters hotel. How sacred is that? Even better, some guy dressed as Elvis can lead the ceremony. Couples marry for the money, to make family happy. Celebrities marry for the fame and publicity then promptly divorce for the fame and publicity. I believe that while it should not be legal to force a church to house the ceremony, it should be legal to have the ceremony. And once the law is passed, it should not be revoked. Stupid California. NOW: The hang ups most people have regarding gay marriage is their religion. I ask, then; If they were to be persecuted for being Christian, Catholic, or whatever they are, they would argue that this is a free country and they can practice what they want. By that way of thinking this is a free country and people can practice homosexuality if they want. They claim that God does not approve or condone it, that they are sinning and will go to hell. Their religion, by the same token, preaches tolerance and not to judge. They are as a result sinning. They think "it is morally wrong." How so? By their religion's standards? No one is forced to practice their religion or share their morals and therefore their religion should not be the standard of everyone's life. I could go on, but this is getting lengthy. My point is that I want to hear both sides of the story in well organized fashions. I like to approach every debate with an understanding of why each side feels the way they do. If you are against it, why? Provide reasons, please, besides "it's just wrong." If you are for it, why?I'm rather impressed with the answers I've had so far, besides the ones saying "It's just wrong" and "It's just right." I must add some things that I tried to stay my tongue about. How do you know if people are born gay if you were not born gay? You don't see from everyone's eyes. And the Catholic churches; priests and altar boys. 'Nuff said. The buying of pardons. At one point you could buy your innocence back from the Church. Resolved Question: A question for someone who has ever owned a German Shepherd?

My dog of 8 years died last week, and so I'm trying to figure out what type of dog to adopt from the shelter. The breed that seems to fit my needs the most is a German Shepherd, but they have some bad publicity. I just want to make sure I know what I'm getting myself into. The dog would be outdoors all of the time- with access to shelter and my dad's machine shed office with air conditioning/heating when it's too hot or cold. We have 40 acres that he would have free roam of, and I would take him to town with me 3 times a week or so to go for a long run in the park. We have a multitude of other pets (horses, cats, etc.) but no other dogs. As I had with my other dog- he would be shown in obediance trials and agility trials, so he would have to get along with other dogs. (I can arrange socialization if needed..) Also, my little sister had down-syndrome- a form of mental retardation, so I want a dog that will be good with her and other children as well. Lastly- we want a dog capable of protection. We've had burglaries in the area before.. So basically, what I'd like is conformation that this is the right breed to look for. And maybe some tips on how to care for it, and how to train it properly so I don't end up unable to control my dog. Thanks! more

Describe how the Public Enemies of the 1930's have affected popular culture and society The term 'Public Enemies' was originally coined by Frank J. Loesch in the Chicago Tribune. At first, the term was used to describe bootleggers and 'nuesances of the public'. But later, in the 1930's, the term was appropriated by the FBI to describe their most wanted and dangerous criminals. Although these 'Public Enemies' were outlaws, many saw them as heroes and idols. Many people today still recognise names such as Jogn Dillinger and 'Bonnie and Clyde', with movies, books and plays still being made about these infamous criminals.1 After the stock market crash of 1929, the world plunged into the Great Depression, one of the most severely effected countries included the United States of America. Unemployment went through the roof, hitting 25% in 1933. Many were left jobless, destitute, homeless and struggling to get by. The Great Depression seems to have been the cause of a sky-rocketing crime rate in North America. Criminals such as Bonnie and Clyde, Baby face Nelson, John Dillinger and Alvin Karpis were among the most famous 'Public Enemies' of the time.2 The law of prohibition could also have been a cause for the Public Enemy Era, with alcohol in such demand, gangsters and criminals were sought out to supply people with alcohol. These early gangsters may have paved the way for other criminals in the mid 1930's. Even when prohibition was repealed, criminals, gangsters and bootleggers still operated, bootlegging narcotics instead. These gangsters, bootleggers and thugs were the early Public Enemies. However, the Public Enemies of the 1930's were not bootleggers, but robbers and murderers.3 Among the most famous of these 1930's Public enemies were he likes of Bonnie and Clyde, John Dillinger, Ma Barker and 'Baby Faced Nelson'. Many of these names have become extremely well known over the decades, possibly due to the publicity which surrounds them. In the media, Public Enemies are often portrayed to have 'tragic' backgrounds, which lets the viewer sympathize with them. The viewer is often 'rooting' for the 'Enemy', possibly because they see the 'Enemy' as living out a 'dream' or 'fantasy', doing what they want, when they want.9 Books about the life and times of these enemies have been made by the thousands. Many document the 'Public Enemy' period in the 1930's, and tell the story of the most famous Public Enemies (Bonnie and Clyde ect). These books discuss why these 'criminals' did what they did, and why the public viewed them positively, rather than negatively. I have been thinking lately of starting work on some cool websites/web applications on my own (or colleagues) which can be profitable and won't involve lot of marketing/publicity immediately. There are a lot of job portals and similar things out there and I just dont want to create another, because I know well that creating just another one without some cool features wont make it successful. I am just not able to decide what else to do. Any innovative ideas are welcome. I am 2 yrs experienced in Web development/design using LAMP domain in Bangalore, India and confident enough to say I can do anything that is possible in this field. Some random thoughts :- - A flash games collection site targetting Indians. But I didn't find any Bollywood rock tracks in any such similar games. Won't such a site appeal to the Indians? I am not experienced in flash however. So I just got screwed over by Qwest Internet Service for the second time. Basically due to overbilling, I signed up at a promotional rate and they refused to honor it, charging full price, and in the beginning even double billing. There customer service is horrible, after many phone calls employees and supervisors have a no care attitude. They basically all have an attitude of "It doesn't matter if there is a mistake or not, my computer can't change it". It took me filing a Better Business Bureau complaint, Attourney General Compalint, and FTC complaint, before they resolved it. (and even though they had fixed it, they offered no sort of apology at all for the mistake, or any compensation for my time) However once again I am all of a sudden being overcharged once more, and customer service is the worst I've dealt with. They have no record at all of their previous screw up, and after multiple phone calls refused to resolve it. They have the same "no way to change it, even if it is a mistake" attitude. So right now I have once again filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, Attourney General Compalint, and FTC complaint. However I do not like big companies screwing over consumers. I want to be prepared to give this company as much bad publicity as possible if I find it necessary. Now I have considered writing online reviews, but there are so many thousands of reviews (including many other bad ones), all over the web, that I feel like mine wouldn't have much impact. I've also considered contacting the TV news, and Newspapers, but I just don't think they would consider one customer being overbilled as newsworthy. Here are some other ideas I've had, that I'm wondering if they would be good, and also legal, to do. I don't want to risk getting in any legal trouble for slander or something similar, but its not slander if its 100% true right? 1. Printing my story on a piece of paper, with a nice big headline as an eyegrabber about Qwest screwing over customers with poor customer service. Although it could be anonymous, I do not want it to be, I want to include my name so that qwest realizes who did this, so they can see that screwing over just one customer can have a big impact. 2. Making a big, easy to read sign or bumper sticker for my car that says something like "Honk, if you've been screwed by Qwest also". 3. Similar to #2, Making a big sign that says something like "I've been screwed by Qwest multiple times, have you?", or "Don't use Qwest, unless you like getting screwed like I did". And standing at a busy intersection (Maybe even somewhere near their office), whenever I have a bit of spare time. This is free speech right, and not slander, since I actually have been screwed over right? 4. This is my last choice, due to the time and money, and studying involved, I really probably don't want to do it, but still something I'd consider. Making a dedicated qwest sucks website where I could try to pool as many bad reviews as possible onto it, and make it open for people to post their own bad experiences. I'd do some studying on serach engine optimization to try to get the qwest sucks site as high as possible on the google results. 5. Perhaps there are other even better ideas out there? I don't have a huge amount of time to invest, but I do want to dedicate some. Honestly my time is worth even more that what I've been overcharged, however this isn't just about the money for me, its about principals, and I'm willing to fight for that. It is a question worth debating because with each choice, there are advantages and disadvantages. So with that said, we must take the matter and decision very seriously because both determine the future of these powerless animals. After researching, facts have proven that if an endangered animal is saved, it would most likely be put into a zoo, maybe even an amusement park for entertainment. The facts have persuaded me to believe that endangered animals should stay in their usual habitat. Moving would be difficult for the average animal to adapt to because of the new surroundings, such as the publicity and the consistent flash from a camera. For instance, you may be used to living with your parents in your home you have claimed for years. Then, you may be forced to move into a new city and a new house. Also, that would be hard for the average human to accustom to because you are used to that specific to the same household or town. The house, zoo, or amusement park could be different in many ways from the original habitat. This is just one of the concerns about saving an endangered animal. Facts have also stated other concerns about saving an endangered animal. An animal can become restless in a smaller place and it can also become lonely. When an animal does not have the space to roam nor have other animals to play or feel secured and comfortable with, it can become upset and start to become sane. While, it can stay in the wild jungles and countries of the world and continue to live it’s average and daily life. Although I think that saving an endangered animal can be an intense and dramatic change, it can also be a helpful adjustment. Saving an endangered animal can also save it from extinction. Hunting is also a colossal deal, and it leads to extinction. If an animal is saved, these problems are no longer a worry or important. Further, if an animal is struck with a disease, a vet may be able to cure the sickness. Food is also available without killing another animal, letting the prey survive, that even may be close to elimination itself. I am in the sixth grade. Resolved Question: If a potential client hires away one of my best employees, is it unethical to refuse to work with/for them?

A concert producing company that has tried to acquire free advertising in our company (local newspaper, they wanted advertising in exchange of concert tickets) just hired away one of our top employees. That company pressured him to accept the job immediately or it would be given to someone else, so I did not even get a week's notice. They offered him 60% of what I paid him, but he would have lighter hours (leave 2 hours earlier) and work more closely with music. I understand he didn't love the job he had and absolutely loves music, and I wish him well, but I suspect he's been hired to get leverage in our newsroom and get his new employer free publicity (free press releases, interviews, and such), since he is not really qualified to do the job he accepted and has no experience in the field. They just met him at a concert two weeks ago and he tells me he didn't even send a resume, he believes they just had great chemistry with him. We are good friends, but I want to let him know I don't want to accept any business from his new employer, neither press releases nor paid or free advertising. I also think the way they approached him and took him away is disrespecful and rude towards the former employer (us).
