Resolved Question: McGregor Assault A Police Matter?

If indeed Mc Gregor was assaulted then surely some public spirited and law abiding individual should be contacting the police and reporting it. Should it be that justice is left undone, if he was assaulted on the field of play or not its a police matter.. And if he wasn't then action should be taken against this habitual liar.Jamie: No I didn't notice I was to busy laughing..Krissy: Thanks for clearing that up. more

Open Question: Am I breaking the UK law?

I often have to travel miles to get to the shops. Sometimes I get diaoreah, where I have to just empty the stool in a public place. Although I mostly have to walk through the woods with my dogs, I am worried that one day someone may spot me. I have already had one close encounter. If I pull my trousers down in a public place to avoid them getting stained would I be breaking the law? more

Resolved Question: Ramadan: How can you help this Saudi Judge?

A Saudi judge has asked several hospitals if they are willing to damage a man's spinal cord as punishment for a cleaver attack that left a 22-year-old paralysed. (Source: Yahoo news 20/12/10) Judge Asks Doctors To Damage Criminal's Spine The victim, Abdul-Aziz al Mutairi, became paralysed and subsequently lost a foot after a fight more than two years ago. An unnamed man was sentenced to 14 months in prison for the assault, but released after serving only half that time. The shortened jail time has reportedly enraged Mr Mutairi's family. His 27-year-old brother Khaled said they want an equivalent punishment for the attacker and have appealed to a judge in northwestern Tabuk province. "We are asking for our legal right under Islamic law," the brother said. "There is no better word than God's word - an eye for an eye." The judge has since asked several hospitals if medical paralysis was possible and would they perform the operation. Local newspapers reported a facility in the capital Riyadh had declined, saying it could not inflict such harm. Saudi Arabia enforces strict Islamic law and occasionally hands out punishments based on the ancient legal code. Amnesty International has expressed concerns over the reports and said it was contacting Saudi authorities for details. "We are very concerned and we will appeal to the authorities not to carry out such a punishment," said Lamri Chirouf, the group's researcher on Saudi Arabia. He added this was the first time Amnesty had heard of a punishment involving the damaging of a spinal cord. "It's hard to follow details of the Saudi justice system. People are sentenced in closed trials with no access to the public and no lawyers." more

Resolved Question: Desribed on News as Law- breaker ? Do you agree about this labour MP?

A new MP who went from law-maker to law-breaker days after getting elected has been banned from driving for six months. Skip related content Related photos / videos New MP gets 6-month driving ban Enlarge photo Yasmin Qureshi, the Labour MP for Bolton South East, was spotted using a mobile phone while driving and when stopped by police was also found to have no car insurance, Bolton Magistrates' Court heard. The former barrister and human rights lawyer had been elected as the town's new MP on May 6 but four days later was caught by police while driving through the town. Howard Sloane, prosecuting, told the court that around 2.45pm on May 10 a police officer spotted her silver Vauxhall Astra driving along Wigan Road in Bolton. "He could clearly see the driver had a mobile telephone in her right hand and was speaking into it," he told JPs. Ms Qureshi, 47, was stopped and questioned if she had any reason to be using her phone, to which she replied: "No." Her details were then checked and she was found to have no insurance, Mr Sloane added, as her policy had elapsed on April 9. The insurance policy was then renewed at 4.05pm the day she had been stopped, the court heard. Mr Sloane said the MP already had nine points on her licence when she was caught. She had a previous offence of using her mobile phone while driving dating from May 25 2008 and two speeding offences, one in 2007 and another last year. Ajmal Hussain, defending, said the MP had not deliberately avoided paying for insurance. "The position is, that Ms Qureshi has been insured with this firm since 2003," he said. "It was a roll-on policy that at times was paid in full and other times in instalments. For whatever reason, matters are being looked into by Ms Qureshi, on this occasion the insurance was not renewed, therefore she did not have insurance. Clearly something has gone wrong. As a result of administrative error or whatever it is, she is not insured." He said Ms Qureshi, who was not in court, could have argued for "exceptional hardship" to try to avoid the ban, because of her job, but wanted to accept the ban and have matters dealt with. "She is going to be inconvenienced a great deal, visiting her constituents at unsociable times, she is going to have to now take taxis and public transport," he said. "It will affect her personal and professional life. She apologises to the court, she clearly regrets what's happened." Qureshi, of Morton Moss Court in Bolton, was banned from driving for six months, fined £950 for driving with no insurance, £300 for the mobile phone offence and ordered to pay £35 costs and a £15 victim surcharge. more

I know it's illegal in Germany but I'm not talking about law I'm talking about socially acceptable. I have lots of memorabilia items belonging to (the real) Eva Braun including a swastika hairpin that I really like. If I just put it in my hair and go about my day will anyone take notice and bother me about it?I don't care what people think I just don't want them approaching me about it.I'm not racist I'm just a collector and I'd like to wear some of the things I own instead of just keeping them in a display case. more

Voting Question: Please give me advice....?

Well, I have a really disfunctional family. They don't understand me. My mother is abusive, my dad forces me to do things I don't want to do, my LITTLE brother molests me, my older sister is in college, my grandparents hate me, my uncle's getting married, my other uncle is in a fight with most of the family members and I can't talk to him, and I've only met like 1/8 of my family. Now, my mom isn't the worst, of course not the best either. She yells, abuses, etc. I don't know how to deal with her. We're always in a fight and with my dad too. And she and my dad always tries to kick me out of the house. And I'm only a teen(13) I don't have anywhere else to go and I don't have that much money. My dad... He's just so forceful. He practices Buddhism, but I don't want to. I practice Wicca. I know I know. "No wonder why you need help. Wicca is so bad. Go Christianity/Muslim/Catholic/Judaism". I truly respect every religion including my dad's, but he tells me to do it. Even though I don't want to. Isn't that against the law? You can't force someone into a religion, right? And then at the dinner table my brother was like "so you're not gonna do buddhism anymore?" To me and then my dad says "you should keep your promises". WHAT WAS THE F ING PROMISE?! I never promised to do that reigion. I'm so pised about it. And also, he makes me do extra math and science work. From textbooks or workbooks. That's in another language that I'm supposed to be able to read. Well I can't! And so I always look at the answers and he finds out and always gets pissed at me. And he tells me to ask him, but when I do, it turns into a big argument or a 5 hour lecture. And I play violin, guitar, sing, and write songs so I'm really musically talented. I want to become a musician when I grow up. And I want to go to a music high school. But my dads making me go to a differnt high school. That only focuses on math and science. I'm not even good at it! And he just makes me feel lik there's no point in life because I can't follow my dream. So yeah, I'm suicidal, call me whatever you want, emo, weirdo, etc. My 9 year old brother molests me lik he touches my private parts even though I tell him to stop. But he never does. And its so embarassing cuz he pulls down my shirt in public and stuff so everone, pedophile old men, little boys, middle aged guys, are all looking at me. I hate it. And also, he always says "I'll tell Mom" or "I'll tell dad!" And I don't want them to know so I always have to obey him. I feel like I'm locked inside a cage of somesort. My older sister is in another country in college. She's coming to visit in like a few weeks, but she never calls, never emails or messages me. And I really miss her. But I don't know what to do because shw was like my only best friend. Throughout elementary school. My family's not that rich so I can't buy anything and all that stuff. Its really hard. I don't have much friends either. "Friends" yeah but not real friends. I know I'm never gonna find a best friend, but I always wanted one. And it makes me so depressed and all when I go on facebook and see all those statuses and posts saying "going out with my bffl ashleyyy" or whatever. I hate being ugly. I hate being forced to do something. I hate being me. I hate being told what I can do and what I can't. I hate me. I hate my life. Can someone give me advice? Or share your stories? Resolved Question: Can you check the meaning of my translation in English please?

I'm trying to improve my English writing. But as I have a mid-level and a complex logic, it is very difficult ... I take random items news on msn.com to translate. Can you tell me if there are big mistakes? Thank you so much. Islam : Second religion in France If it's difficult to have precise estimates on this sujet, specialists agree to say there is in France around 5 million muslims, making islam the second religion in France after Catholicism, but before Protestantism. If in France, most muslims are from the Maghreb countries (35% come from Algeria, 25% of Morocco and 10% of Tunisia), many also come from other countries. Confusion is often made between "Arabs" and "Muslims". Thus some cases of Islamphobia can express anti-arab racism, which runs at the same time to their religion. Islam has risen sharply as a repository of identity: It is becoming more and more a means of personal construction. If the indivudual practices (daily prayer) remain stable, there is a marked increase in social practice (prayer at the mosque, Ramadan, the veil). They would be about 3600 per year in France (10 per day!) to be converted to Islam. Recently, there has been conversions in the world of sport including (Franck Ribery, Nicolas Anelka, Eric Abidal ...) Today the conversion to Islam is growing in the immediate vicinity of the suburbs, in the context of rejection of Occidental society, and is often accompagnied by social beliefs or political. Some new converts tend to turn to a radical Islam, particulary through Salafism The Muslim fundamentalist movement is becoming more and more about it in France. It's actually thank to the activisme of their militants and their strong presence on the Net that the Salafists are able to take center stage. Radical movement, Salafism is sent to the "Islamic roots", free from all harmful influences, including Occident, who pervert religion. It denies the diversity, rejects the religious and sexual minorities and encourages commununalism. France has a little more than 2,000 Muslim places of worship. Ranging from simple garage or local mosques are called "Cathedrals", which include a minaret, such as those of Paris (Great Mosque), Lyon, Evry, Nantes, Créteil and Marseille, currently under construction. Thus the establishment of Muslim places of worship is on the increase. But this number remains low compared with 45,000 churches that include France. The 1905 law on separation of church and state prohibits public funding to build a place of worship, funding must come from private funds. The question has been debated for several months and divided the whole of France. Should we, by law, prohibit the wearing of veil (burqa and nikab) in public places? Those who want the ban put forward the defense of secularism and the rights of women. Those who reject it, insist on the free choice of women and the fact that thus prohibited, they should stay home. more

Resolved Question: Why is ripping DVD and CD's in UK illegal?

Well it's an old link but here :http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7176538.stm says that ripping CD's is illegal, while I know in other countries it is legal. What would be the purpose of this, as the majority of the uk public don't know this and will at some point rip a cd atleast, even to place on their mp3 player. So this leaves me with the question why is it illegal to do this, as I know that many people do not know this, and if it is for their own personal use then it should not affect the copyright laws. Also if people are planning to share it / p2p it then surely they would just go out and do it anyway, while the majority of users will continue to use them just for their own personal use. So why would the UK government make the majority of the UK lawbreakers, for no purpose. Why not have a law such as the UK/Canada where you can create a backup for your own personal use. Here is another article saying it is illegal to do it, and you cna reasearch it/wiki it, for the UK it definetly is illegal. http://conversation.which.co.uk/technology/why-is-ripping-music-still-illegal/ P.S. also how many of you have ripped a dvd and how many of your friends - its totally stupid."Dr Ian Kearns, ippr Deputy Director, said: "Millions of Britons copy CDs onto their home computers breaking copyright laws everyday. British copyright law is out of date with consumer practices and technological progress. Giving people a legal ‘private right to copy’ would allow them to copy their own CDs and DVDs onto their home computers, laptops or phones without breaking the law." I know p2p is illegal and understand that - and maybe the reason for it........ However As I have bought it I think I should be able to listen to it as I want to. But which: http://conversation.which.co.uk/technology/why-is-ripping-music-still-illegal/ Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ripping and several other sources: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8000876.stm http://www.consumerfocus.org.uk/news/uk-has-worst-copyright-laws-by-far another one: http://www.ippr.org.uk/pressreleases/?id=2404 I thought it was like you say it is , however it seems like it is not :S more

Resolved Question: "False reporting has reached an epidemic level" Orlando FL Police issue appeal to public in the local media?

""We want victims to continue to report crime, we do not want to spend needless resources chasing ghosts," Sgt. Art Eld said in a press conference. Police said false reporting has reached an epidemic level. They said they will arrest anyone who makes a false report about a crime because doing so is against the law." He goes on to describe various problems that false reporting causes.. "False reports cause unnecessary fear in the community," Eld said.." "False reports take personnel away from other calls for service, increasing response time for real victims," Eld said. "It also taints the jury pool in Orange County for true legitimate rape cases." Cops said they don't want to arrest the women, but feel they must. They have the public's support". See how the police are white knighting? They dont want want to arrest these women, they mention the genuine problem that they cant do their jobs properly if they are "chasing ghosts" and that affects genuine victims of rape but there is no mention of the real victims of the crime, the men that are being falsely accused! Resolved Question: Is the knife crime epidemic about to explode after this?

At a car boot sale near my home there was a man selling knives, not kitchen knives but "combat" knives off cheap, bragging he sold hundreds of them at each car boot sale. They were cheap and horrible Chinese garbage but VERY nasty and not the kind of thing you buy to open letters with. In a documentary on TV it showed a London Hospital treating up to fourteen stabbings a day in the A&E department each costing £9000. Already stab resistant hoodies are on sale, is this the future of law & order in the UK, we all wear stab vests? He was quite open about it and people were flocking to his estate car which was FULL of them. Are the British public arming themselves against knife crime, do they believe in fighting fire with fire, do they think the authorities are toothless against the criminals on the street who look upon human life with contempt? more

Resolved Question: How lucky do you think it is that I didn't get arrested for sexual assault on scale of 1 to 10?

Just before I tell the whole story I will just say that it only just did not get classified as a sexual assault and I only just avoided breaking the law. It all started in a swimming pool on a holiday park on Thursday 29th July when this gang came into the pool with a leader who was a pretty girl in a pink bikini. Several little lads were jumping on her having a ride on here. I thought that they were members of the public. I then asked if I could join in. At first I thought it was a yes. Then though I went up a that girl and tried to do what those little lads did but she pushed me away and said, "NO!" At first I thought it wasn't all that serious until I got out of the pool and the lifeguard saw me as they had reported it to her. It turned out that she was only 12 and still a little girl. I thought she would be about 16. At that time I thought I was still aloud in. On Wednesday 4th August I saw the physiologist who was so cornered as I could have been arrested for sexual assault that he has decided to put me in a group talking about relationships. But yesterday which was Saturday 7th August I went back to that swimming pool but after i'd gone on that Thursday the parents had made further complaints to the boss on the holiday park site and that now I'm not aloud in without support. Last night I was so frightened about what could of happened if I had of been arrested that I got ill and could not sleep half the night. So how lucky do you thing I was on the scale of 1 to 10 that I did not get arrested for a sexual assault. Also some people say that those people over reacted. more

Voting Question: Legal (Squatters Rights) Need definitive answers! Not straight forward.?

Hi! First off, I am not a squatter. Recently some group of entrepreneur wannabes decided they were going to try to gain ownership of a derelict building by means of adverse possession. They claim to be unable to trace the paper owners of the land and buildings on said land. They intend to restore the buildings (there are 5 in total) for community use. They physically removed a mound of earth that was placed there by a local workforce under the instruction of the paper owners of the land/property, by this I mean that a local company was instructed by the paper owner to place the mound of soil/rock in front of the main gates to prevent access. They also cut the lock from the gates. They then proceeded to erect a poor excuse for a fence around the perimiter and placed signs saying "keep out" etc. They continue to carry out works every saturday (grounds clearance etc). My issue here is that I fail to see how they can be in adverse possession, they are not living in the buildings, nor on the land, they "work" there every saturday, thats it. I also fail to see how they can use these buildings for public events, surely this requires public liability insurance etc? I should also point out that they are generally a bunch of clowns with no building qualifications between them. My question is are they allowed to do this? Am I right in thinking they are not even in a period of adverse possession due to the fact they are NOT "squatting" there? I also happen to know that the paper owner has been informed, has written to them stating that they have no business on his land and are not welcome there, they have ignored this. I know all this because I happen to KNOW (without doubt) who the paper owners are. Any detailed information pertaining to the laws here and anything else you feel relevant would be much appreciated, basically, they need to be stopped before someone gets hurt. Thanks for the reply there, I forgot to mention I am in the UK. I'm 99% sure I'm right about them not actually being in a period of adverse possession like they think they are, due to them not actually living there at all, but would like clarification. I'm also highly curious about their intention to use these buildings for community purposes, ie, the insurance implications etc (being as they do NOT own the buildings) surely they couldn't get insurance even if they tried??? Also, they are not qualified builders or the like, they are known locally as the village idiots. more

Resolved Question: What is the government going to do about this costly legislation that was entered into by Labour?

I realise that some of you will respond by saying that this legislation comes from Brussels but if as we are led to believe this government are out to cut the deficit would this not be a good place to start? The top 4 costliest EU regulations are 1. The Working Time Regulations Cost by 2020: £32.8 bn Prescriptive working time rules, which have caused massive problems for the UK’s public sector, including compromising NHS patients’ safety, according to a recent Government report. 2. The Climate Change Act 2008 Cost by 2020: £28.2 bn A slew of new energy targets and rules which will add £130 to £200 a year to the annual domestic energy bill for a family of four in Britain. The package does not represent the most cost effective way to cut carbon emissions. 3. Energy Performance Certificates for buildings Cost by 2020: £20.2 bn This Directive gave rise to the Home Information Packs, which have been widely criticised by estate agents, chartered surveyors and consumer groups for creating extra costs for home owners while providing little benefit. 4. Temporary Agency Workers Directive Cost by 2020: £15.6 bn New rules for temporary agency workers, which, according to former Business Secretary John Hutton, could consign “literally thousands of people to benefit dependency“ in the UK. So basically the government have taken OUR money to pay for this legislation that is in no way beneficial to the average taxpayer, implemented the legislation and WE end up paying more in taxes to not only cover the initial cost of this legislation, but to keep the faceless pen pushers in Brussels in the lap of luxury. WE are paying for these parasites, the incompetent bankers, the crooked MP's who fiddle their expences and to go back to the first item in the list we are now restricted to how much we earn due to a limit in working hours and an increase in rules and legislation that actually impede and restrict our ability to earn a decent wage. Don’t these "educated people" realise, you can only get a pint out of a pint glass, All taxes are rising, new taxes are being introduced and our government still panders to the EU and pay them Billions a year to slowly but surely drive this country and our industry into the ground while all the time consigning thousands of people to a dependency on the benefit system that those of us still working will have to pay more tax to bolster the over stretched social security system. It appears to me that the vast majority of our tax payments are swallowed up in red tape and wages for people who are making laws, and drawing up legislation in order to justify their own being with no regard for the cost to millions of us. Resolved Question: With the invention of the internet, institutions such as cubs and guides and David Cameron talking up his 'big?

society' we were the first institution to point out to the coalition 'democratic' government that if it wanted to change the culture of Britian to prevent it from decending into civil war then the cuts it 'reluctantly' embraced were going to have to happen intelligently. Step 1 Affirm that the British culture is moderate and multicultural, public sector cuts should not have been planned without the fears of the workforce being somewhat addressed by, for example, not cutting benefits as peace and freedom should be part of the social security package, be a decent citizen (learn some local history and road names), don't resort to crime and, due to automation, workers enjoy lower insurance premiums and can be free. Not a bad deal but as democracy only represents a training issue on those who voted for the right wing... Step 2 Once it's been established we live in a multicultural tourist town (see above) issue a code book on how to bring up and/or educate children to the degree that they 'do as they are told' by business (you can leave the best practice and rewards structure for compliant with human rights businesses to us, we do exist for a reason don't you know) at whichever level they enter the workplace and put in place theory and practical exams for the retired, capable disabled (decided using common sense), law abiding and risk assessed 'volunteers'. For too long professionals within the public sector have been put under pressure to prove that the right wing does not cause attrocity and are unfairly targetted for the ills of the worl while the fanatical social worker ('I LOVE children; and money') fail to spot lies pre prepared by abusers, these people are mostly female for heavens sake. Step 3 Close the secondary schools and flog off the land. Anyway to our question, semantics aside, how much money do you think that will save: a) Year one b) Year five c) Year one hundred We have found this link on the net and until the coalitian takes the site down (it's apt at censorship (removing freedom) already!) http://towson.edu/heartfield/images/Don%27t_Worry_Vegetarian.jpg more

Resolved Question: Is vengeance a human right?

Vengeance - Infliction of punishment in return for a wrong committed; retribution. (source - thefreedirictionary.com) I tend to hear alot about how the force of the law should reflect the nature of the crime, a particular sentiment that I hear in the case for child murderers ("Bring back the death penalty" - "Some should go out and kill them" etc) The more I debate this issue - the more the I get the impression that the public advocate such an idea as vengeance.. I suppose what I am asking is the following: 1) Is revenge ethical? 2) What is the difference between punishment in law and vengeance? Look forward to your thoughts. To add to my question. Why is personal vengeance illegal, if the purpose of law is a punishment fit for a crime? more

Resolved Question: Now the 9-11 Commission says their own 9-11 Commission Report was based on "false testimony and documents"?

What are we supposed to believe? (story never made the mainstream media surprisingly) John Farmer, Dean of Rutger Universities' School of Law and former Attorney General of New Jersey, was responsible for drafting the original flawed 9/11 report. Does Farmer have cooperation and agreement from other members of the Commission? Yes. Did they say Bush ordered 9/11? No. Do they say that the 9/11 Commission was lied to by the FBI, CIA, Whitehouse and NORAD? Yes. Is there full documentary proof of this? Yes. Farmer states...“at some level of the government, at some point in time…there was an agreement not to tell the truth about what happened... I was shocked at how different the truth was from the way it was described …. The [Norad air defense] tapes told a radically different story from what had been told to us and the public for two years. Resolved Question: US - Police: False Criminal Reports Must Stop?

Good news here, false reporting seems to be getting more attention these days. ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando police warned the public Tuesday morning that making a false claim is a crime after they said the 18-year-old woman who claimed she was raped Monday was lying. "We want victims to continue to report crime, we do not want to spend needless resources chasing ghosts," Sgt. Art Eld said in a press conference. Police said false reporting has reached an epidemic level. They said they will arrest anyone who makes a false report about a crime because doing so is against the law. "False reports cause unnecessary fear in the community," Eld said. Samaria Renford called police after she wrecked her boyfriend's BMW on Rosamond Drive near North Orange Blossom Trail. Local police are planning to discuss Tuesday morning the recent spike in false rape being reported. The 18-year-old has been arrested after confessing when she was questioned about the details of the case. The arrest report states that Renford told detectives she found her boyfriend cheating on her. So, she took his car and intentionally crashed it. The report states Renford hoped if her boyfriend found out she was raped, he'd take her back and be nicer to her. A report of a rape near Lake Eola in May was deemed fake after possible suspects were questions. Police are looking to arrest the woman who made that claim. Police said another woman, Luisa Martinez, also made a false claim she was raped on East Pine Street in downtown Orlando. "False reports take personnel away from other calls for service, increasing response time for real victims," Eld said. "It also taints the jury pool in Orange County for true legitimate rape cases." Cops said they don't want to arrest the women, but feel they must. They have the public's support. "There's a lot better ways to get attention than making false police reports about something so serious," resident Karen Hansen said. http://www.wesh.com/news/23991233/detail.html What are some ways to discourage women from making false reports?Oh yes you are right, I was going to mention something about that, there are differences though, the main one being that false reports are not recognised or dealt with. Also false rape claims are much more common than wife beating, see deirdre o's statsfor an example of false rape reporting , there is also another difference, domestic abuse has gender symmetry in perpertration, false reporting does not.The FBI say that 25% of the accused are exonerated by DNA and most false reports collapse at the police station so the fbi dont have a record of that.DO here is some information on false reporting, there is alse detail on the feminist efforts to conceal the false reporting. Its better to get research than it is to repeat feminist ideology as if it were fact here. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_go1613/is_1_18/ai_n31607869/ http://www.ipt-forensics.com/journal/volume6/j6_2_4.htm And covering up for false accusers as you are doing actually hurts genuine victims. more

SEC Says New FinReg Law Exempts It From Public Disclosure. Resolved Question: is it wise for anyone to undermine rehabilitation processes for offenders?

DOES - the idea of reoffending spring to your mind when you consider an ex-offender riled up full of resentment? Please read and let me have your views: Should Workinglinks personnel undermine rehabilitation processes? I have had a man telling me that I'm a lowlife- insinuating I am worthless just because I was given a 12mth probation order. He clearly bathes in the fact that I've been prosecuted for having a bladed article which in fact was a 2.5 inch lock knife bought with the intention of using to protect the public from any danger my consignment might give them- i.e. I delivered gas bottles, explosives and a host of other dangerous goods- I really didn't need a blade folding back on my fingers when I needed it not to. The knife was never produced in a public place until I had to surrender it to the desk sergeant at my local police station- where I was arrested for having a knife that locked. I was given 12mths probation (harshly dealt with throughout). Working links run a scheme callsed 'OLAS' which helps those that have suffered probation to become part of society again- they can help finance various things and have already funded my Hazardous goods licence again and sent me on a two day first aid course- I'm grateful to an extent but completely resent them lording it over me and telling me I'm worthless. The police can ask BT to give them recordings of phone conversations that happened on the 19/07/2020 between myself and working links nottingham but why should they try and help a worthless piece of **** like me? I think the answer is that should anyone create resentment in another- they will be making a problem- if people are to be rehabilitated they should be on equal terms and not discriminated against. HELLO ANDY at Queens rd. Do you think that whilst NACRO did an excellent job in this sphere- that working links have the ability to perform the same duties? When the manageress working with probation for 12yrs uses lies to get her personnel off the hook (temporarily I hope) - this shows how corrupt they are willing to be. I ask of you- do I have the right to become a normal working man again that puts £200 a week into the taxmans coffers and refuses to break the law at every opportunity? I was such a man until November 2008. I now have H&S level 2 under my belt, am nearing the end of my first year on a foundation degree in criminal justice and have done other courses and diploma's but it seems I'm just a worthless peice of **** and need to rethink my allegiances - ACCORDING TO ANDY! What do you make of all this and do you think that my indescretion of being in posession of a knife (that never saw the light of day for 6yrs) will ever be over? Do you think NACRO ought to get the contracts back and working links ought to be disciplined for their obvious discriminatory ways? WHY????? 2 days ago - 6 days left to answer. Additional Details Yes I feel the Police dealt me a too harsh judgement and feel now that there ought to have been some discretion shown but also accepted my fate- UNTIL 'Andy' at workinglinks started to create resentment again. I now feel that other people will not fulfill their rehabilitation promises to themselves should they get the same treatment and hope this man is educated better but from the manageresses response I doubt it. NACRO were a very good organisation and dealt with people professionally. more

Resolved Question: Can anyone investigate 'workinglinks and the work they are 'meant' to be doing? Can 'NACRO' investigate them?

Did 'NACRO' do better than workinglinks are doing? I have catagoric proof that 'NACRO' could change a man that hated authority for over 20yrs of his life and now I have an insight as to why reoffending is made so easy by people like working links- please read on and let me know what you think:Can rehabilitation be undermined? Resolved Question: Is there a uk law that stops people interfering with the emergency services in execution of?

Their duties? I just watched on tv a gang of idiots set a fire, then pelt the fire engine responding with planks of wood. I've heard of this sort of thing before with fire and ambulance services, and i feel this surely deserves greater punishment than a "public order offence". more

Resolved Question: Why does the British Government want to prevent private individuals from....?

Why does the British Government want to prevent members of the private individuals from filing lawsuits against foreign leaders. The British government on Thursday submitted a proposal calling to amend its universal jurisdiction law, which will effectively prevent private individuals from filing lawsuits against foreign leaders. If a foreign leader has committed a crime, and a Judge issues a warrant to a private individual for the arrest of said foreign leader, then surely this is right,..and just. What would be the motive behind anyone wishing to prevent such lawful and moral behavour by members of the public? http://www.mysun.co.uk/go/thread/view/88618/25438565/?pg=last Your thoughts,...O.K. Will,..again, you make a valid point. BUT,....if as many believe, and not without reason, we live in a World where Politicians are corrupted beyond redemption, how can the People ever hope to bring War Criminals and other such evil doers to justice. Lets say,..Blair = War Criminal, Bush = War criminal, Livni = War criminal. If all of the above are directly involved in crimes against the Human population, and they all "protect" each other from arrest, then what can the People do? Yes,..we cannot have loonies bringing charges against all and everyone for purely mischievous reasons....BUT,... if there is EVIDENCE which says they are CRIMINALS,..why should they not be arrested? I ask you,...WHY should they not be arrested? If we leave this decision up to Blair, Bush or whoever and not the people with the approval of a Judge who has looked at the complaint, these criminals and murderers will simply laugh in our faces, as many of them are. I think you are wrong here.I think I might let this one go to the voters... more

Resolved Question: Isn't Caroline Spelman, Environment Secretary, UK, out of order?

Wearing a burka can be 'empowering ' and 'dignified' for Mulsim women, one of the UK Government’s most senior female ministers, Caroline Spelman, Environment Secretary, has said. UK opinion polls showed that two-thirds of the British public would like to see a law similar to that which is likely to be introduced in France. A Conservative MP, Philip Hollobone, says he will refuse to hold meetings with Muslim women wearing full Islamic dress at his constituency surgery unless they lift their face veil. Could someone please let Caroline Spelman know that Syria has banned the country's students and teachers from wearing the niqab - the full Islamic veil that reveals only a woman's eyes.Syria may have its differences with Israel but is more sensible on this matter. No niqab in Universities in Syria. The UK could say 'No Niqab in a public place'. Let's be clear that we are talking about full face veil (also called burkha or niqab) ---- Not the hijab or the head scarf. There would be no ban on them, even in public. You have to live and let live. Yes, two thirds of UK public are against the full veil. For 'Veng' and other, It's better to be a Hindu than a Muslim terrorist, killing the innocent. India is justified in refusing Muslims the use of bank accounts as they might be used to launder money for terrorism activities. SIMI, or whatever they call themselves have declared war in the Indian government. What can be expected now, as a consequence? It's not like in the UK where men wearing niqabs can rob shops and banks and get away with it. more

Resolved Question: Article - "The depths of Male Disposability"?

"Male disposability is so deeply ingrained into the very fabric of our culture, that we rarely even think about it. And yet, it is one of the defining features of what it means to be a man. Throughout history, men have filled the roles and performed the tasks that demanded that you risk your life. The only risk that couldn’t be removed from women was that of child-bearing, but apart from that women have more or less always been kept out of harms way. Now let’s not make the mistake that many contemporary feminists do and start talking about women’s evil oppression of men or something along those lines. Men being defined as the disposable sex was not a personal thing nor was it some kind of gender war (there wasn’t any room for a gender war in historical times). Women simply needed to be kept safe to ensure that the next generation was large enough to sustain or increase the influence of the community in question. Nevertheless, it is important to analyze and raise awareness around male disposability, because it is truly the missing link of the gender discourse. As the early feminists put forward the very just demand that men and women be given equal rights and equal access to the labor market, the whole issue of male disposability was forgotten. Or perhaps it is more accurate to say that it hadn’t even been conceptualized, since it takes a higher intellectual development to deconstruct a gender role than it does to notice that men and women aren’t equal in the eyes of the law. Early feminism was an honorable struggle, and while it may not have been the perfect way to kick off the whole gender liberation movement, focusing on women’s rights was certainly a pressing concern at the time. However, what was forgotten was that men’s rights in the public sphere, had always been accompanied by pretty harsh responsibilities (go to war, perform the dangerous jobs, work all day so you hardly ever see your family). So in one sense women were handed the rights of men, without being expected to share in the responsibilities. Another example of this way of thinking is that feminists demand that half of all board members be women, without demanding that half the soldiers or half of the garbage collectors be women. So what are some of the ways that men remain disposable? * War. In every country where people can be drafted or be forced to do military service, it is only the men who are forced to fight for their country. And even when people sign up voluntarily, it is mostly men who do it (eg. US forces in Iraq). * As a (straight) man you are expected to protect your girlfriend/spouse/wife at all times. * Dangerous jobs are predominantly done by men: police officer, fire fighter, construction worker, etc. * Outdoor jobs are predominantly done by men: lumberjack, oil platform worker, garbage collector, etc. * Men still perform most of the jobs where you are expected to work insane hours, and only see your family at weekends (at best). What’s interesting to note is that feminism often depicts male disposability as a form of male power. The men who work long hours are the men with power. The military is a sign of male power. Being a heroic fire fighter is a sign of male power, and so on. However, as Warren Farrell says, true power is about having the freedom to shape your own life, and as long as many men automatically choose dangerous professions in order to be eligible for marriage and a family–then men cannot be said to be free. The argument could be made that women are freer than men nowadays, since every young woman knows that there are many acceptable options for a woman (work fulltime, part-time or be a housewife), and there is no expectation of choosing a “disposable career”. This is not to say that men need to stop performing the jobs that men currently do. As you may have noticed from reading this blog, I do not believe that men and women are identical on the inside; as far as I’m concerned there is ample proof that innate sex difference exist in the brain and in behavior. This means that men may be more likely to continue choosing the dangerous jobs as well as the outdoor jobs. But the choice needs to be made consciously, rather than automatically. Also, society as a whole needs to become more conscious of what male disposability means. The people who perform dangerous jobs should be adequately paid, and safety measures should improve continually. I also believe that a sense of appreciation for what men do for society, and for what each man does when he’s a 24 hr lifeguard to his spouse, needs to be reinstated. At this point, especially in Western societies where feminism is strong, the appreciation for male sacrifice has dwindled, and there is more focus on the negative aspects of masculinity than on the positive ones. The reason that society has been able to evolve so rapidly the past few hundred years, is that male sacrifice and male disposablity has been faar greater than male violence or male brutality, something that we would all do well to remember".. Article by Swedish MRA Pelle Billing What are you thoughts on male disposability? http://www.pellebilling.com/2009/08/the-depths-of-male-disposability/No bloody brilliant, macho culture doesnt define or create male disposability, you are putting the horse before the cart, the culture doesnt create the cause, the cause creates the culture. Male disposibility exists independently of macho culture, there is nothing macho about spending your time in a sewer, so Id be reluctant to reduce male disposibility to macho culture. If the idea that all men held power at anystage in history is being put forward, please provide a source or some reasonable argument forward as opposed to stating it as if it were fact.Aiden According to Mind CEO Paul Farmer, "Statistics tell us that women are more likely to have depression than men. In reality men are just as likely to experience depression, but are far less likely to seek help, be diagnosed or receive treatment." Why do fewer men get the help they need? According to Farmer, it's because doctors are trained to look for signs of depression that are more common in women, such as turning on themselves. Depressed men, however, are more likely to become aggressive and angry, says Farmer. In addition, they are less likely to ask for help because of stereotypes such as "real men don't cry." "We are encouraging GPs to look out for some of the more male symptoms of depression - such as anger or agression," said Farmer, "and calling for the increased provision of mental health services tailored for men." Farmer believes that these stepped up efforts can keep men from slipping through the cracks and save many lives. http://depression.about.com/b/2010/05/0 more

Resolved Question: Will the UK Lib/Con 'pact' 'get away with it' this time?

Since coming to 'power' (in reality responsibility and with common sense caveats) the Lib/Con 'alliance' has taken measures curtailing online freedom, the areas affected are: None constitutional removal of web pages. The curtailment of intellectual debate that engages in holding 'democracy' (lawyers (or those embracing the distress causing and 'enjoyment' 'culture' of law) running the country and, without checks, balances or a public mandate, regulating law) to account. Monitoring (at the expense of the multicultural, moderate and law abiding taxpayer) the activities of the moderates while turning a blind eye (or encouraging) abuses. Engaging in none mandated activities without any public benefit or reasonable excuse. Preventing lawful activity (for example pointing out the above information) ensuring the 'meat on the bones' on the truth about how UK democracy is an overly expensive and unfit for purpose (public interest) system (given the understanding we now have on how technology can be used to stop abuses and why the fears of the, to be polite, offensive, are given a priority over and above the genuine concerns of the taxpayer due to party donoring (and other planned at best, suspect practise but at worse, criminal) arm bending and lobbying. The best example we have found is the commitment to reduce training for (and the number of) CCTV crime recording devices. The motivation of those elected is the key issue and protecting opaque practises with taxpayer money is an affront to democracy, anti progress, anti truth and anti civilisation. The text, 'Monitoring (at the expense of the multicultural, moderate and law abiding taxpayer) the activities of the moderates while turning a blind eye (or encouraging) abuses.' Should have had added to it the statement that it is Party members, friends, behind the scenes gangmasters and other such unsavoury influencial ilk (eg the unconvicted murderer 'Lord' Archer) that are allowed to enjoy their foolish, treasonous, thieving and/or + immorality/criminality with impunity while preaching the values of integrity and honour, if it didn't send such a bad example to the public... WHAT'S more IF 'the system' had any merit then it'd be free of abuses in office and in extra areas of ambasordom. Instead we have the ludricous situation whereby the above depth is known so taxpayer money is spent covering up the abuses rather then the training issues that rise addressed. IF the public trust IS a swimming pool then BRITISH DEMOCRACY is a floating TURD and we, the people, detect planning. more

Resolved Question: Am I justifed in not wanting to buy an unregistered SBT in future?

So as you're probably all aware, my foster dog Hooch was taken from me last month by the police as he is a "pit bull" which are illegal in Britain. "Pit bull" in Britain does not refer to the APBT which is not recognised here. It just refers to a certain look - larger-than-average head, powerful jaws, short fur, stocky/muscle-y body. If your badly-bred Boxer/Mastiff/Labrador fits this vague set of criteria and you do not have legit papers to prove it is a recognised breed (ie. if it is a shelter dog), you're screwed if someone reports you. I have always loved Staffordshire Bull Terriers and there are many shelter Staffords I could give a home to in the coming years. But, considering any unregistered Stafford is liable to be hit with the "pit bull" label, I do not trust the general public to not report me and the police to not enfroce the law. The heartache I have experience in the past month is not something I want to repeat. So I told myself I'd only every buy an SBT from a reputable breeder. But now I feel so darn selfish. Am I really justified in not wanting to adopt/rescue/whatever in future? So many people do (though not everyone has had a dog taken from them), so why am I so different? SBTs are so common in shelters in Britain I don't feel as though I have a valid excuse. Would you refuse to adopt in future if you were in mu situation? The only breed I like enough to want AND have the lifestyle for is the SBT... so it's that or nothing. No news on Hooch.Si, I hink the bill you're talking about allows police officers to euthanize any dog in their care that suffers from kennel stress... what dog doesn't suffer from it? It's a step in the right direction, but not quite right yet. more

Resolved Question: What is the law (UK) to set fire to something in a public place - say a book or a flag?

Pressed Rat - I would be committing a crime if I burnt a book or a flag in my local high street? It's not to set fire to anything else - so not arson - I like book shops.Foxy I have no plans to do so, I just want to understand a little more about UK law & the consequences of ones actions. As in one item be it a book or a flag etc - with no intention for the fire to spread. Could I burn a copy of the Telegraph in my high street - obviously that would be just an accident as I'm a smoker - cough cough etc.... more

Resolved Question: What would you say in this argument about free speech on Yahoo! Answers? (V. LONG)?

Some of you may have noticed the Crumpet troll, and how myself and other members of the [Troll Patrol] have been actively trying to stop him. I then notice another user had changed her name to add [No Troll Patrol] and added this little statement to her profile. "I've added [No Troll Patrol] because I believe in freedom of speech and the freedom to be offensive if only childishly. It is not for us to decide when we support a right and when we don't, the right exists without support or it doesn't." So, I ended up thinking about how I actually she may be right and how I may be in the wrong. So I did some reading and decided to write down a full argument for my case. This is what I wrote, and I would like peoples feedback. Please be a critical and as damning as you like. If it's a good argument it should stand up to criticism, and if its not then its flaws will be on show. **************************************** Let me first start off by saying I do not oppose free speech. I am actively in support of enabling people to use their rights. And as such I appreciate that some people will want to say things that are offensive to others and that other people do not have the right to prevent them from saying so. So you may be wondering why I report people for trolling on Yahoo! Answers, when they are using their right to free speech. To begin with, let’s outline what actually is free speech. Here is the link for the universal declaration of human rights: http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/index.shtml Article 19 of the 1948 universal declaration of human rights states: "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers." So does this means anyone can say what they like about who or what they like. Yes, and you know why that is? Because you have the right to ignore things too. But only to a point. Article 29(2) states: "In the exercise of his rights and freedoms, everyone shall be subject only to such limitations as are determined by law solely for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others and of meeting the just requirements of morality, public order and the general welfare in a democratic society." What this basically means is, I have the right to criticise anyone about anything. What I can't do though is stop them doing it. The racists actually have a right to be racist, but only in thought and speech. Should they start attacking people, then it is a crime. But still doesn't defend me, or anyone else who reports another user on Yahoo! Answers. So on what grounds does anyone have to report? Well the community guidelines are the best source, so here's the link ( http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines ) but I have picked out the crucial bits. At the very top of the 'bad' list is this - "Venting, ranting or using hate speech: Yahoo! Answers isn't a soapbox to vent personal frustrations or rant about issues. We are a community of people with diverse beliefs, opinions, and backgrounds, so please be respectful and keep hateful and incendiary comments off Yahoo! Answers." The section on 'Being mean or obscene' states "Because kids as young as 13 may participate in Yahoo! Answers, sexually explicit and vulgar language and images are not welcome on the site. Also not welcome are belligerence, insults, slurs and generally objectionable speech. If you wouldn't say it in public, don't post it on Answers." The section on 'misusing answers' also adds "Don't create multiple accounts to troll or otherwise violate these guidelines or the Yahoo! Terms of Service. Don't post things that are incomprehensible or in the wrong language, and don't post the same question over and over again." So it seems pretty clear that under the community guidelines, which everyone has to agree to abide by when using Yahoo! Answers, does not allow total free speech. In effect they are actually limiting our free speech. If you have a problem with that then I suggest you take it up with Yahoo themselves. I will say in Yahoo!'s defence though, is that the limitations it places on us are very similar to the same limitations we voluntarily place on ourselves. We are careful of what we say because we don't want to offend someone else. It’s only when we do want to offend someone that the PC brigade steps in and decides that we are in the wrong. For example, swearing in front of children. We might have the right to, but not everyone feels right doing so. I touched on the terms of service earlier, so now let’s expand on that. What does it say in the terms of service about member conduct? Again, here is tI touched on the terms of service earlier, so now let’s expand on that. What does it say in the terms of service about member conduct? Again, here is the link so you can read it all yourself - http://uk.docs.yahoo.com/info/terms.html - It says this: SECTION 6 "You agree to not use the Services to: 1. upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;"Sorry this has not posted all of the details I wanted to, so here is a link to the document in my dropbox. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8368863/Arguement.docx more

Resolved Question: Ten Armoured Cars, 650 Armed Police, experimental, unapproved Taser weapons,?

and a Tornado Fighter Jet all deployed to find one man, with a shotgun? Isn't this a little bit of a disproportionate response from the Police? Or can we expect this kind of commitment from them every time someone gets killed? The day after Moat was killed, there was a 5 person shoot-up in London, and the response? A van turned up half an hour later, with three Coppers in it. Seems like it's one Law for the Public, and another set of rules entirely for the Police. BQ, If someone killed you, how many Police would there be assigned to solving your murder?Aww, . . Mo, you only have to look at that picture to see how much he loves that puppy! more

Voting Question: DS: Best arguments AGAINST B.S.L... can you think of any more?

I just need a thorough and clear list of arguments against BSL. This is what I can think of. Have I missed anything? - B.S.L. makes the dog suffer and only minimally punishes the people behind aggressive dogs. Dogs, whatever they do, are just animals, are innocent and cannot take responsibility for their actions. Whether it was badly-bred or badly-trained, there will always be a human being behind it. It is time to punish who is ultimately to blame and not allow dogs to suffer unnecessarily. If owners and breeders were all responsible, dangerous dog would be a very small problem. The only way to make somebody responsible is to enforce penalties for NOT being responsible. - B.S.L. targets ALL owners of breeds affected. They could be the most responsible, cautious owner in the world. That is not fair. Not all owners of dogs affected by BSL participate in dog-fighting or use their animals as weapons. A lot are sweet family dogs that have never put a paw out of line. - B.S.L. will discourage the owners of dogs affected from seeking vet care or professional training leaving any potentially problematic dog without help, which will increase aggression. People shouldn't break the law but they do and it is not fair to make a dog suffer because its owner is too scared to get it help. Too many people are afraid to take their dog to the vet because they are scared of being reported. -B.S.L. is too ambiguous. In many places "pit bull types" are targeted which means that any dog with a big head, powerful jaws, short fur and a muscley/stocky body is targeted unless its owner can prove it is a recognosed breed (so if you have a shelter dog you're screwed). Labrador crosses, mastiff crosses, boxer crosses are all at risk. Temperament counts for nothing. - B.S.L. actually encourages people to own these breeds, so it is completely counter-productive. The moment you illegalise something is the minute it becomes dangerous and exciting. Put a piece of chocolate in front of someone, tell them they cannot have it under any circumstances and leave the room. They will want it 100X more than if you never said anything. Same principle. - B.S.L in many areas is cruel. Some of the restrictions on dogs that are deemed safe are horrific and only encourage people to break the law. In the UK, a dog on the exempt list has to be muzzled at all time in a public area. The muzzle cannot even be removed if the dog is choking or vomiting. Nobody in their right mind will just let their dogs die so the law is indeed encouraging people to fail. - B.S.L. is expensive to enforce. The money used siezing and kennelling perfectly nice dogs could be put to better use somewhere else... catching real criminals perhaps. What have I missed?Breed specific legislation, the law that kills dogs because of how they look.- Kennel Club breed standards dictate that dogs (unregistered or not) of most of the breeds affected should NOT show human-aggressive traits. This proves that it is down to people and their irresponsibly breeding/training, not the dogs themselves. - If a breed is banned, people will just move onto another. more

Resolved Question: Shariah Law, should we allow it in the UK?

This is not hearsay, and it will scare the life out of you. Joys of Muslim Women By Nonie Darwish In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child. Consummating the marriage by 9. The dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the woman, to use her as a toy. Even though a woman is abused she can not obtain a divorce. To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses. Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry. The family has the right to execute her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family. Husbands can beat their wives 'at will' and he does not have to say why he has beaten her. The husband is permitted to have (4 wives) and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion. The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman. In the West World ( America and Britain ) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife can not obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her. It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities and British Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law. By passing this on, enlightened American and British women may avoid becoming a slave under Shariah Law. Ripping the West in Two. Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two. She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law. Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old. Her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel . He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza . When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society. But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing.. She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television. In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping sharia law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries. For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed. Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world. Peace and prosperity for one's children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world. While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics - one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims. Building on tribal practices of the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants to take from and subjugate others. While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be interpreted as criticism. It's hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should be executed. Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East are silenced through intimidation. While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt and elsewhere. (In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. and Britain To elect the President by themselves! Rest assured they will do so... You can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA .. Dearborn Mich. Is one... And there are others...) ( Britain has several cities now totally controlled by Muslims) I think everyone in the U.S. and Great Britain Should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on! It is too bad that so many are disillusioned with life and Christianity to accept Muslims as peaceful.. Some may be but they have an army that is willing to more

Resolved Question: How can we all avoid what this may bring?

This was written by a woman born in Egypt as a Muslim. This is not hearsay, and it will scare the life out of you. Make sure you read the paragraph (in red) towards the end. Resolved Question: Police tell media not to lie anymore- is this true?

Can we ask the media to tell the truth under law? We've all heard one rule for the authorities and a different one for the public- OR one for the rich and another for the poor?? Have we? Well if you'll please take note that when officers are the targets of gunmen and not just citizens- all sorts of strings get pulled- AND RIGHTLY SO- these people are there to protect us and so should be afforded every protection themselves. I feel that the media has caused untold harm by their avaricious ways and their need to sensationalise events (I agree they've done a lot of good too) and after what 'SKY NEWS reported :"Police asked the media to stop reporting aspects of Moat's private life that he may find offensive after he made contact to say that every time there was an inaccurate report he would kill a member of the public." (Yahoo home page, Sky news report accessed 2010 - 16:45 on 10th July) I feel that we ought to remember why this was done and ask for the media to calm it down for normal citizens too- can we bring in a law that says that should the media cause unnecessary suffering with their reports- that the media mogul loses the paper completely and all assets associated with it? Everyone is a scapegoat in that game and nobady guilty would be taken to task so in all honesty I believe this has set pressident to ask for a law that is far more restrictive with massive consequences should they break it- and for anyone thinking I want to take freedoms away- YOU ARE RIGHT- the freedom of the press to report someones address whilst they are under threat of death, the freedom for the press to tell barefaced lies and manipulate people to their detriment- I do applaud the media for the little good they do but think they are predominately avariscious 'scum' that prey on the vulnerable. Can we restrict them after the Police themselves have just set pressident- OR DID SKY NEWS TELL US LIES? WAS THE MEDIA GIVEN THE DIRECTION? Category News & Events > Media & Journalism more
