Meaning do you think the Obama that was marketed to the American public in 2008 is the same Obama pursuing all his current policies. Here's a short list of flip flops: 1. Obama promised to have healthcare negotiations on C-SPAN......(obviously these negotiations are taking place behind closed doors.........hence the vote buying etc.) To be fair: cameras were allowed to film for a whopping ONE HOUR. http://www.breitbart.tv/c-span-ceo-white-house-has-allowed-only-one-hour-of-health-care-coverage/ 2. Obama campaigned AGAINST a federal mandate for individuals to buy private insurance.........(he now supports it........hmmmm) "I mean, if a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house. The reason they don’t buy a house is they don’t have the money. " -Candidate Barack Obama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoSnqofelsQ 3. Obama campaigned AGAINST taxing "cadillac plans"...........(he now supports it) "John McCain calls these plans “Cadillac plans.” Now in some cases, it may be that a corporate CEO is getting too good a deal. But what if you’re a line worker making a good American car like the Cadillac? What if you’re one of the steelworkers who are working right here in Newport News, and you’ve given up wage increases in exchange for a better health care" -Candidate Barack Obama http://firedoglake.com/2010/01/07/cadillac-flip-flop-obama-was-against-health-plan-tax-before-he-was-for-it/ moreResolved Question: Question for Libertarians - How do you regulate the free-market?
I respect many libertarian ideals, but there's one issue that stops me from joining the ranks - regulation of industry. History has shown that an unregulated free-market creates dangerous products. It also promotes false and misleading advertising. Many unregulated industries create dangerous levels of pollution. How does libertarianism address these problems?@ schnizzle - I'm not sure what you're talking about, but if you have some insight into my question I'd appreciate an answer.@ planters - You have a point. But have you ever considered the possibility that the number of dangerous products on the market would be far greater without regulation? Just because some dangerous products exits, doesn't mean regulation is ineffective - it means regulation is not perfect.@ The pollution argument - If a company over-pollutes and causes everything west of the factory to be covered in soot & ash, I could boycott their product. But everybody to the north, south and east of the factory would be unaffected by the pollution and would not have the same motivation to boycott. I would be stuck living in a polluted area because the company was satisfying enough consumers to remain profitable. moreVoting Question: Please help me with this these business law questions.?

So I've come to the conclusion that most shampoo's and conditioner's out there should be marked for false advertisement. Most products that garentee smooth straight & silky hair usually give me the exact opposite and make my hair bigger and frizzer. Other products that are targeted for dry & damaged hair doesn't really help with dryness and I still have split ends. It also makes my hair seem dryer after i straighten it. I had to use my moms volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner when we traveled and my hair came out better then it normally did. So here's my question. Do you think that people market this under false advertising to kind of trick people into buying more and more of the product? Like " Omg my hair isn't very moisturized! I need to use more of this conditioner to see a difference." or " My hair still seems flat. Maybe I should rinse and repeat with my volumizing shampoo to see a difference." I'm starting to buy products that do the exact opposite for what i want for my hair and it seems a lot more manageable. What do you guys think? Guys & Girls are included in this. I want Opinions. moreResolved Question: how can i clear Validation problem with multiple submit buttons?

A top White House economic adviser said Sunday "you'll get no argument from" her on the need to improve the miserable jobs picture. The jobless rate remained at 10 percent in December as 660,000 people said they had left the workforce. But Romer couched the news by saying the siphoning of jobs from the market has slowed. "In the first quarter of 2009, when we first came in, we were losing on average 691,000 jobs per month. With these new numbers in the fourth quarter, we were losing 69,000 jobs," she said. "It's the making of our story a passing dead and gone Fairy tales wait in mystery And monsters sing in song Even though these lives have ended Their memory will carry on A beautiful nightmare will begin And our hero's will stand strong There is a place only the dead know Real corpses dance and are true to heart It's the making of our story Where in death we do not part... " ~We Dance With Monsters - I am Ghost. Prologue You get three chances when you play my game. Three strikes, and your out, of life. Lives had been taken, and I had been cast from Heaven, to live for eternity on earth. But there is one thing they forgot to check, one thing they tried to look over; I was tainted while I was in Heaven, and I had infected the Angels. So as I got to relax on the warm beaches of the Jamaican islands, I listened above as pure chaos erupted, and laughed lightly at how ignorant angels really were. How they thought nothing bad could happen to them, nothing bad at all, and then I had to get infected, and I ruined the façade. I ruined the false sense of security, and completely obliterated the dystopia that stood above all else. If there is one thing that had been feared, above and below, it was the one thing that couldn't be stopped. And that thing was me. I was the one that haunted children's nightmares, and the one that started wars. I was the one who played out the Stock Markets, and created the depression, and I was the one who spread the disease. I was the first to have it, it was mystery to everyone but me. I infected myself, because I was born with a power to go to a place only the dead knew, a ghoulish playground full of horror, and sickness. Spirits lie there, unable to get out. It wasn't hell, it was lower, a place even the Devil himself feared to go, and it was my hideout from the world. My hideout from the Death Camp above, and there, I became the most feared creature in all the lands. There, I became Baidījās, The Feared One. Chapter 1 - A Nightmare in the Park It was dark that night, I can remember that much, and I was watching my prey intently. Watching his every movement as he kissed his girlfriend on the cheek, and lifted her up over his shoulder. I was covered by the trees, their dark limbs keeping my pale white skin from being seen in the pitch blackness. I shuffled around, getting ready to attack, the boy and his girl turned around. Their heads peering around the jungle gym, their eyes filled with the fear of knowing something was near. They sensed the danger I had omitted from where they were sitting, which was a good hundred yards away. I took the liberty to step out of my cover, my deadly smile causing the girl to shriek in terror. I could smell her blood from here, the boy trying to cover it with his body. He knew what I was, I had shown myself to him before, tried to kill him even. But I felt something there, something deeper than I had ever felt, and I let him go. It was my worst decision, but my best idea. "Get away." He yelled, but I was already gone, standing behind the oblivious couple know, slowly biting down on the girls neck. Before I knew it, the blood was drained and I heard slowing sirens in the distance, and I knew I had to get out. But I was stuck, surrounded by the stark nothingness of nature. "You're dead." The boy repeated, smiling at me, just as I had smiled at him, but it took no affect on me This boy hadn't known how powerful I was. This boy, even though I had met him before, hadn't known how much I hated him for messing up my heart. "Nothing can kill me." I said and let my eyes turn red, not just the irises, but the whole eye. Blood overflowed, and my mouth opened up, reviling my set of shark teeth, two lines of razor sharp teeth. He backed up a little, as I heard the firemen break down the iron gate to the children's park, and I stepped back into the police officers hand cuffs, because quite honestly, I wanted to let them think they won. I wanted to create utter disappointment. just a little sneak peak into the rough draft of my story. I mean like rough rough. It kinda sucks, just tell me if you like the idea. SHE"S NOT A VAMPIRE. SHE'S INFECTED WITH SOMETHING, NOT SAYING YET, SHE JUST INS'T A VAMPIRE! moreResolved Question: Why did Paul and Jesus agree to lie to the masses?
I asked a question and got a response and realized that I've been believing a lie for the past seven years. Perhaps 'die' in the Bible actually means 'transform.' It would make sense that a seed falls to the ground and 'transforms' into a new plant. Also, Paul insinuated that Jesus has been both in the grave and in Heaven for the past 2000 years: Romans 10:7-8 (New International Version) 7"or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: He can't be in both places if He's a human being. Is Christ dead in the grave of alive in Heaven? Paul says in the grave. Before this verse, Paul says He's in outer space (third heaven). So, is Jesus in both places? Then if He is, which is humanly impossible, then He didn't ascend in the flesh as the Bible states. This means that Jesus ascended in spirit only and He left His body behind. So, Jesus, who is presently in the 'deep,' said: John 12:24 (New International Version) 24I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. And does 1 Cor 15:36 and John 12:24-25 expose Paul and Jesus as co-conspirators? Perhaps they just wanted to do society a favor and wipe out religion? So they created a lie and told everyone to follow a lie instead of putting false trust into idols? 1 Corinthians 15:36 (New International Version) 36How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. Seeds aren't dead when they fall off a plant. They have nutrients inside of them to keep them alive and a hard outer covering to protect them from anything that would destroy it. A dead seed (which would be destroyed) could not grow into a plant. If an embryo dies, it's called a miscarriage, not a continuation of life. I know what Jesus was trying to get across, the we're transformed when we leave our bodies, but the example He used was false. God didn't put an example on Earth for His Son to use to describe that we're simply transformed when we leave our bodies. One guy said this and it made perfect sense: Paul was a marketing genius, he was not religious, wise, or truthful. His goal was to sell a new religion to the uneducated masses and avoid actual work on his own part. He leeched off the most wealthy people around during his time and never produced anything of value. moreResolved Question: Where are "slaves" in the UAE?

In reality, every part of Krugman's world view is false. This also happens with Republicans as well. Why are Christmas trees ALWAYS satanic, but wind chimes could swing both ways? My Japanese mother-in-law is Buddhist. However, she enjoys celebrating the Christmas holiday by decorating tree with various Christmas ornaments. She is not worshipping the tree; she just thinks it’s a “fun custom.” She is not celebrating the birth of Jesus – since she does not believe in Christianity. She also has some wind chimes that purchased about 15 years ago in Pike Place Market (Seattle). I’m not sure what she thinks about the wind chimes, but some Buddhists think they are useful in chasing away bad spirits. On this subject, the Watchtower writes: "If one’s motive in putting up a wind chime has nothing to do with false religion, superstition or demonism, and there is little possibility of others’ getting the wrong impression regarding its use in the home, it is a simple matter for personal decision." Why doesn’t the WTS come to the same conclusion about Christmas trees? It seems to me that the key difference is simple: the Watchtower (JW leadership) allows Witnesses to put up wind chimes, but has decided not to allow Witnesses to put up a Christmas tree. Similarly, piñatas, the exchange of wedding rings, and baby showers, all have "pagan" origins, but the Watchtower has decided to allow Witnesses to have them if they so desire. It’s all based on the whims of a few elderly men in New York. So why not rewrite the policy on Christmas trees to read: "If one’s motive in putting up a Christmas tree has nothing to do with false religion, superstition or demonism, and there is little possibility of others’ getting the wrong impression regarding its use in the home, it is a simple matter for personal decision." Would that be fair and logical? Thanks Uncle Thesis: We did put up a Christmas tree (a fake one) several weeks ago. And as far as I know, no one in my family prostrated him/herself before it in worship. So I conclude that there's nothing wrong with the tree and that it's just a fun custom. moreResolved Question: help with arguing with in laws about husband staying in military.?
so my husband is in the marine corps he is due to get out in a year. he is over in Afghanistan for his 2nd tour right now and when he gets back he will only have a few months left. He is in an infantry unit so he works really hard and they deal with A LOT of crap. a lot of training and false deployment dates going in the field etc. the cutting score for him to pick up cpl is also insanely high so he has not yet been able to do that. we got married a year ago (tomorrow will be our one year) I have not gone to college down there because since october they have been told they would be deploying every month...so i didn't want to start something and not finish. we talked about him staying in and he would move to a different unit something like admin something easy so his chances of deploying are slim, he doesn't have to leave home for months at a time for training or go to the field often- also he would be able to pick up cpl immediately and a few months after that sgt- so we would be getting more money. and if he re-enlists for 4 years i will go to school- and there is a program where military spouses can get about 6 grand to go to school and since we would be in NC for a while i would be able to do that. i also figured that if he re enlisted into another MOS he could learn a trade to take into the real world. He doesn't have any college education he only has one year exp in being an IT tech...now everyone knows the job market is horrible. we would be totally screwed- i don't have college he doesn't have college and we just wouldn't make it especially with trying to pay for health insurance and things like that...we get so many benefits in the military it would be so dumb not to continue with it. Now his mother flipped out when i told he he was thinking about re enlisting...i need some arguing points on things like the job market, heath insurance costs, job availability in IT tech..cost of colleges.. and things like that so i can make her understand that it is the best idea. please tell me where you got the info or link it or something so i can have some sources...my mother and i are having lunch with them tomorrow so i want to be prepared. thanks so much.yea everyone is right by saying that we don't need her permission to do what we need to do..it's just annoying because she thinks she knows everything. it just pisses me off to the extreme. do you think it would be rude for me to say that we don't need to justify our decisions to her, that we dont need her permission and that he has no say in what goes on? how should i say it, because she really does need to be put in her place. moreResolved Question: TRUE or FALSE: The western image of Santa Claus was created by Coke to take the place of milk and cookies ...?

Missing or misplaced serial numbers and unbelievably low prices, statistical info that the pecentage of good deals are to good to be true, etc. etc. etc. I believed that I could get a good deal at the flea market for a number of reasons. Bass that could shake you in your boots, treble that could shatter glass, lifelike voice quality. So what do I do? I am in a neutral position on this but is there something I overlooked? Do real bose have even better sound quality than what I am getting right now. Are nockoffs equal or even better than the real thing? Did I get ripped off? Other parts of the false advertising campaign consist of statements that only Enfamil LIPIL has been proven to confer visual and mental benefits on infants, and store-brand formulas are a “cut-back in nutrition” compared to Enfamil. FOX, CNN, ABC, BBC?
This question from someone else was deleted by the socialists running Answers, so I'll repost it again until Yahoo stops restricting free speech in our case. As this was someone else's question, this was my answer: Posted by Confederate Soldier: Step 1: Shun all cable news. Cable News is entertainment, not journalism. FOX, ABC, CNN, NBC, CBS, CSPAN, BBC, PBS, and the rest are all owned by a minority of multinational corporations who regulate the media's output through funding and dictations of agenda from the top. Step 2: Shun what cable news has taught you. The enemy of cable news is the On-line free press. Libertypost.org, WorldNetDaily, and Politico are just three of these reliable news sources. Cable news derides Internet news because it cuts into their ratings and does not support the agendas of the sponsors of cable news. Step 3: Just have some common sense! The Internet is the most powerful tool free humanity has. It is an open, unregulated forum, yet we are taught to fear it's unpredictability. It's hypocrisy! We're taught to accept that free market capitalism is the best way to go, but a true free market would theoretically be chaos! People setting their own prices, it's madness! People will start charging whatever they want and you'll have no choice but to pay excessive prices. That is completely false, yet we're supposed to believe that, given an open forum, people will invent all kinds of lies and spread them...with no agenda? This coming from those whose agenda is that of their sugar-daddies like Murdoch. Have common sense. When you read something that is a baseless opinion, reject it as a baseless opinion. When you read something that is reinforced with trustworthy testimony and fact, then consider it. Turn the tube off and keep it off. That's the best thing you can do to keep yourself informed. Get information from those who have reputations for loyalty to their readers and NOT profiteering corporate ownership. That last answer, the one about hiding in a cave, is really pathetic. With your first sentence you agree with me, and with your second you chastise me, and yourself. If I'm hiding in a "cave" because I don't trust cable news, then so are you. more
