Hi,
I found a dog and I can't find his owners and I don't want to take care of him anymore because it's becoming too much with my other 2 dogs. I dont' want to take him to a shelter because he'll probably end up being put to sleep and I can't advertise him on any animal surrender websites because he hasn't been fixed and all of them have a rule about not adopting out dogs who haven't been fixed. Okay, so, now what do I do? I'm stuck with him. He's a good dog. Housebroken and very sweet but I don't want another dog right to take care of and I cannot afford to get him fixed or to have his shots. On top of that, I think he may have fleas and is going to end up infesting my house and I cannot afford flea medicine for him because it costs about $50.
I'm starting to regret trying to help this poor little guy. I'm thinking of just dumping him back into the closed off park I found him in but I'm afraid he'll starve to death or someone will pick him up as bait for Pitbull fighting. :( I can't do that to him.
What should I do?I said I couldn't dump him back off at the park because he would starve to death or be taken in as bait for pitbulls.
I found him a new home and he's very happy there and he's going to be taken care of. And NO I cannot afford $50 for flea medicine because I've already spent $150 for MY dogs' flea medicine and heartworm meds on top of it came to $200. Then I have other living expenses to pay for-like my ER visit that's going to cost me over $700.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help me in a nice way.

Went to a local BK and ordered 2 double cheeseburgers from the value menu. These weren't what I normally get. They were like 2 white castle burgers stacked or more like the Wendys jr burgers that have gotten a lot smaller. The bk website still is showing the regular doublecheese as being $1 but when you goto the restaurant you get something much smaller than a qtr lb as they use to advertise.

Talk about false advertising, President Obama promised last Saturday, "Starting this year, insurance companies will be banned forever from denying coverage to children with pre-existing conditions." www.whitehouse.gov and everything else I could find also said the law will prohibit insurance companies from denying kids with pre-existing conditions in 6 months from enactment of health care.
Now that we've passed the bill so that we can see what's in it, the law actually says nothing about 6 months for kids with pre-existing conditions. They can be denied until 2014, same as everyone else, As the law stands, insurance companies can deny coverage to any child for four years. Classic bait and switch, but I wonder if anything changed this week?

In all seriousness... I want Al Gore charged with several counts of Fraud. Who can I call to petition that charges be brought against him for his SWINDLE of "global warming" and the sale of "carbon credits" that go to a company that HE OWNS?
Al Gore left the VP office with a net worth of $2 million dollars. Today, he is worth over $7 Million as a result of INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING people, corporations, and government bodies into buying "carbon credits" and "carbon offsets" when there was NO REAL SCIENTIFIC DATA that supported his WILDLY exaggerated claims of "global crisis" and "planetary emergency".
Farther more, there is NO PROOF that buying "offsets" or "credits" have IN ANY WAY helped to reverse climate change.
For each & every person who bought an "offset" or "credit", he should be charged with a count of the following legally recognized types of fraud:
false advertising
false billing
investment fraud
mail fraud

moreResolved Question: Is Premiere Productions Inc. a bait and switch scam operation?
I had an interview with Premiere Productions Inc. for an Event and Wedding Planner position that they had advertised on Craigslist. I was interviewed by one person and she told me that I was perfect fit for the position and company which was odd to me because she hardly asked me any questions about my background and qualifications. The day after the interview I received an email and call from a man named Joshua Komer who told me that the position would require me to pay Premiere Productions Inc. $3500 to $11,000 for their training which they did not mention in their job listing or during the in person interview. Since when do you have to pay a company thousands and thousands of dollars for 12 weeks of training as a prerequisite for a job? I told him that I was looking for a legitimate job and career opportunity.
I expressed my reservations and concerns about the costs associated with their training program. Joshua told me that they could assist me in taking out a loan and line of credit in my name to finance the training. He also made it a point to assure me that I wouldn't have a problem paying the loans off quickly because I would be making lots of money through various internships during the training program. If that's the case then why do I need to pay them so much money in advance and why can't they take it out of the earnings I'm going to make while I'm being trained.
This fellow Joshua sounded like a used car salesman. I consulted a friend of mine who happens to be an attorney and he told me that this sounds very hokey and thinks that they're trying to convince me to take out a loan so that they get all the money up front and will be in the free and clear once I realize that Premiere Productions Inc. is a fraudulent scheme at which time the only recourse I will have is to deal with both Premiere Productions Inc. and the bank to seek financial restitution.
Then Joshua proceeded to tell me that he is currently an Event Producer at Premiere Productions Inc. and was in my shoes just a few shorts months ago, but took a leap of faith and paid for their training program. If Joshua is really an Event Producer, then why is he spending all this time trying to sell honest job seekers on the hopes and false promises of their paid training program when he
should be planning events and weddings as he was allegedly trained to do. I asked to speak to his supervisor and I was told that I would be contacted by a lady named Maria Cook. When Maria contacted me over the phone, I pressed her for more details regarding the training and job. I could not get a straight answer out of her regarding how I was going to get paid while enrolled in the training program. Although that didn't prevent her from trying to coax me into trying to sign a contract to pay them $11,000.
When I told Joshua and Maria that I would not be signing up for their training program they got very hostile and angry. In addition I kept receiving hostile and harassing emails from them for several days.
Is it me or is their job posting for Event and Wedding Planners a good ole bait and switch tactic to get people to pay money to get training for placement into a non-existent job? Am I being scammed, ripped off, and bamboozled by this tag team of Joshua Komer and Maria Cook? There website is www.premiere-productionsinc.com

Would a consumer have a legal gripe against Store X that advertised "We will not be undersold." However, a shopper brings in a flier from a competitor showing an item of merchandise that in on sale for, let's say $799. The sales responds that the customer cannot expect the same deal since Store X does not carry that brand. Is Store X obligated to sell what is virtually the same thing, just another brand, because of their advertised claim?
moreResolved Question: When is Far Left going to figure out that in economics if a show is well watched advertisers will follow?
They fail to realize that Beck's ratings are through the roof in terms of viewership. Any advertiser who is driven to stay in business would be stupid not to advertise on his show.
But then again they are socialists so why would they understand that :D
If you’re not aware, Glenn Beck’s show airs in the United Kingdom. Accordingly, we have been targeting his sponsors in the United States as well as in the U.K. (with the assistance from the StopBeck – UK Effort).
During the last week and a half, Glenn Beck lost his 100th, 101st and 102nd sponsors. A full list of all 102 sponsors that dropped Mr. Beck (or Fox News as a whole) can be found here. Please note that this total includes sponsors that have dropped him both United States and/or in the United Kingdom.
It seems like our efforts are having an effect…
Glenn Beck’s show in the United Kingdom has not run any commercials during the past three days (Tues-Thurs). Glenn Beck’s show in the UK used to run commercials. The shows that come on before and after Glenn Beck still run commercials. But, for the past three days, Mr. Beck hasn’t had any sponsors in the U.K. During the commercial break, instead of running ads, they cut away to Sky News updates or the weather. Perhaps they’re having trouble finding sponsors willing to subsidize Glenn Beck’s misinformation, vitriol, sexism and race-baiting?

I have been planning my Super Bowl party for months. I was expecting about 60 people, that was before the politics of anti choice came into play. My RSVP list has now dwindled to about 16 people and I'm not sure how many of them will actually show. Some say they are boycotting the Super Bowl this year in protest others say they don't want to be baited into a political discussion during the game. Either way the result is the same for me, I don't get back the $3500 I paid the caterer or the $1500 for the valet service or the $300 for the extra parking lot. Anyone want some ribs and potato salad looks like I'm going to have a lot of left overs.

The saints D are is better than advertised and if you want to say they play dirty look at the steelers, ravens, and jets are they dirty and also manning was not that great they threw too much by the goal line to catch up to brees's stats and those sportwriter fags gave manning mvp and did you not see how reed baited Peyton, sharper will do the same. I have a store on ebay and am extremely frustrated from being bombarded with ads and phone calls from company reps trying to get me to pay them to advertise my ebay store. I cannot work on my store without having to look at these ads. Yes, I also receive phone calls at my home.
I pay $15.95/mo to have an ebay store. I pay .03 or .05 for every item I list every month. Ebay takes 12% of my sales. Ebay is advertising my store's items less and less. I used to sell several items a day. Now, sometimes I go for up to 14 days with no sales. It is getting worse and worse. Why would anyone pay to advertise their ebay store? You would basically be paying for ebay to take your money, along with all the money they get for advertising, when compeitiors' add pop up around yours. These ads are usually big business with better deals than I can afford to offer. This often makes me feel like I am there to be used as bait for drawing the buyers to the big guys!
I think this is prime time for people who design websites and are knowledgeable about internet advertising to get in there and help out the Small Store Owner on Ebay who is fighting a losing battle. I could see a win-win situation if storeowners' had a place to go & for site designers who needed work.
Any comments would be appreciated.
moreResolved Question: Mouse Problems in the house?
I have a major mouse problem and the little buggers are impervious to snap traps. I also have a live trap but they've even gotten out of it (bait replaced by mouse crap but no mouse). I'm getting desperate! I would love to use poison but I've already lost one dog because of that. Not that it ate the poison but it ate poisoned mice. Her job was to keep mice out of the barn and we think one of the neighbors put poison in their house and as the poison advertised the mice went outside to search for water were they met my dog. Any suggestions on how to get rid of these pests?
Already tried:
1. Snap traps (baited correctly) when they cleaned them off I even put bait on the actual trigger pin and they still cleaned it without setting it off although I barely touch the thing and it went off.
2. Live traps: minor success caught 4 but now they seem to have figured it out too and are escaping.
3. Would like to use a snake but they've already started hibernating here.
The traps were checked every day even multiple times a day.Mice are in the house and I'm allergic to cat dander (I can have a cat outside but it can't come in the house) Besides the last cat I had was mouse retarded he didn't scare the mice away and he only caught one his entire life and didn't know what to do with it. It was under a rug and he just sat there squashing the "bump" in the rug till I took pitty on the mouse and let him go.

moreResolved Question: When you hear the term "dessert reception" what comes to mind?
Is it just sweets and fruit platters? Or is it also carving stations, egg rolls, finger sandwiches, etc? I've always understood it to mean the former because obviously the latter are not desserts at all. I'm curious because I was reading on several other wedding sites where carving stations, mini beef sliders, and the like are to be served at a dessert reception and you are inform your guests that it will be desserts only while serving non-dessert items. That doesn't make any sense to me since those two food categories couldn't be more different if they tried. When did blatantly lying like that become acceptable? Theoretically, you would put "dessert reception" on your reception cards to inform guests that they need to eat before they arrive at the ceremony as the reception will be at a non-meal time, so feeding them the equivalent of a full meal with non-sweet filling foods after telling them you have other plans entirely defeats the purpose and falls into the category of false advertising or fraud or whatever you want to call it. Especially if someone is doing the desserts only to save money, because the others are definitely not cheap, why go out of your way to be deceptive?
I'm simply curious as to the logic behind the bait and switch simply for the fact that it doesn't make any sense. Or does it actually to some people?

My husband and I bought a used car from the original owner, he was not allowed to test drive it but was taken on a ride in the passenger seat and everything seemed fine. We signed the bill of sale and gave him the cash. As we were driving away, he called my husband saying it sounds like there's something wrong with the motor. We pulled over, and the previous owner met us to look at it. We couldn't figure out what the problem was, and they refuse to take the car back and return our money. Everyone knows if you saw a car dealership advertising :"Cars starting at $2999" and you went in to ask and you learned there was a "$3000 mandatory processing fee" for every transaction, that could be considered bait and switch. How is this apartment complex I'm looking at any different - they advertise apartments "starting at $399". You go inside and you find out on every apartment there is a utility cost (for "free" utilities) of $40, making every single studio apartment $439. So is this bait and switch (because there is NO apartment there that costs what they advertise no matter what)?
moreResolved Question: What is the best way to address deceptive advertising for a consumer product?
I recently purchased a new Gateway laptop. On their website, they advertised (with both text and images) that their NV series had Bluetooth. Photos of their keyboards showed a Bluetooth key, and there is also a LED for Bluetooth. However, there were NO models showing Bluetooth in the specs. I ordered one anyway, wondering if it was an omission. But after receiving it, even with the keys and indicators, had technical support confirm that it was not installed on this model. The website mentions NOTHING regarding Bluetooth being on select models in the NV series. Tech support can't help, and sales is a dead end (all sales are now with retailers.) It's not a deal-breaker, but I want to address it with someone. Any ideas? This seems like such a bait-and-switch tactic.
moreVoting Question: Bait and Switch Advertising on the web?
I purchased a samsung refrigerator from Number 1 Appliance for $893.10 this morning from their clearance area on their site . It said free shipping ,but when I tried to order it kept saying $69 shipping . I then called to order , salesgirl said yes it is $893.10 and I said order it ,also bought a 5 year warranty also and got a coupon for $100 off. Total sale was $978.00 . My credit card was charged and I received an email confirmation of sale
So I thought everything was done and I would be getting my product . Then about 4 hours after I ordered ,I got a phone call from Number 1 Appliance saying that refrigerator is not $893.10 but $1799.10 . He (chip) says something about the website being corrupt .He said he could not sell me that refrigerator for anything else than $1799.10 Do I have any recourse ?
moreVoting Question: Problem, buying a Used Car in California.?
I've been in the market for the past few days looking for a used car (2005-2007 year models). And I do most of my research online first, before I go to the dealers (not private parties). I came across a very good deal at an Authorized Auto Dealer, also selling used vehicles, for a 2007 model with very low miles and only one previous owner, for approx $10,300. While the same specs car has been valued at over $14000 at Kelly Blue Book, and other dealers also have a similar car for over $12000. So I immediately took a printout of this offer to the dealer.
But when I went there, they said the car was at their 'Detailing Center' and that I can check it after it comes back. But since it was such a good deal, I was willing to buy it even without looking at it. So the dealer asked me to give them a check of $1000 as a 'holding amount', meaning that they would not sell the car to anyone else and would contact me as soon as it gets back from their detailing. They in fact gave me a letter, with a copy of my check and a handwritten statement by the manager that the car would not be sold to anyone else.
Now it has been over a week since that, and when ever I call them, they still say it hasn't returned from 'Detailing' (my check also hasn't been cashed yet).
What I need to know is, why is the detailing process taking so long? Or have they realized, how low their price was and are somehow trying to sell it at a higher price to others? Was it a 'hook & bait' scheme where they advertise a low price and then sell it for a higher price? Is it illegal, what ever they are doing?
And what can I do to make sure I get the car at the online advertised price?
Thanks.

Has anyone else had a problem with this company? I booked a cruise for my parents and they were supposed to get a $100 shipboard credit. Well, my parents got back from their trip and said that they never got the credit. I contacted Cruise411.com and they claim that they "mysteriously" booked my parents under a different "rate", without telling me, so they aren't going to honor the shipboard credit. I get the impression banks are doing something illegal when they send people balance transfer checks with an interest rate of 0.99% and a hidden fee in the fine print with vague and confusing terminology that makes it unclear when the fee is applicable.
For example, if the fee is 4%, and the 0.99% rate is good for six months, the real rate for those six months is 8.99%, when the fee is considered part of the interest.
Isn't that illegal bait and switch? Or is it some other crime than bait and switch? Such as misleading advertising and what else? How do banks avoid getting prosecuted for it?

The management really has the bully mentally at their online facility, I only spent 2.00 at Starbucks but they know how to treat a customer. Costco can learn something from them. Also the fact that I had called when I seen the receipt Was on their computer, they knew who I talked with and I have the employees name and extention when I bought the tire, they kept saying you'll see the discount later and it NEVER happened. The fact that it was on their computer means the manager knew it, tell me they aren't trying to make some extra money off innocent people.

moreResolved Question: Why are so many government officials lacking in common sense?
The American Civil Liberties Union of Florida and its Pinellas County chapter filed a federal lawsuit Feb. 24 against Clearwater on behalf of a Clearwater business, The Complete Angler.
“The ACLU of Florida seeks to prevent the city from further proceeding against (owners Heriberto, “Herb,” and Lorraine Quintero) for exercising their constitutionally protected right to free speech and political protest,” read an ACLU press release regarding the lawsuit.
The Quinteros opened the bait shop at 705 N. Fort Harrison Ave. on Feb. 1, 2008, said Herb Quintero, and shortly afterwards commissioned an artist to paint a mural of local game fish on one of the shop’s outdoor walls. The shop began getting notices of code violations in March 2008, claiming that the mural was in fact an additional sign, or advertising, although there are no words or a logo on the image.
“We made numerous attempts to talk to the city, but they insisted that the mural, because it’s a depiction of fish, would constitute as additional signage because we are a tackle store,” Quintero said. “Our argument has always been that it was never made or painted to convey any information to the public. There is no logo or text. It just depicts local game fish in the area. It’s artwork and is covered under the First Amendment. It’s freedom of expression.”
The Quinteros paid $690 in fines to the city and were ordered to cover up the mural.http://www.tbnweekly.com/pubs/clearwater_citizen/content_articles/030409_cit-01.txt

I know this is an unusual question, let me start by saying I do not condone murder in any way. I simply make them up and write about them.
Now, I need a highly creative scene. Here are the details. A man walks into a bait shop. I'm sure you've seen these shops before, especially if you fish: faded, tin roof, letters missing from the marquee advertising cold beer and live bait. The man isn't from this place, he has no conscious but he also has no weapons. There is a fully stocked fishing aisle, though. He walks down the aisle and sees all of the things that go along with fishing -- I'm really more of a cast net gal -- which item could he use to kill the store's proprietor? I am looking for creative answers with decent explanations. If you say "He could use the THINGAMABOB" and leave it at that, I will have no idea what a thingamabob is or how he could use it.
This bait shop is located along the Atlantic Coast, south of Virginia, north of Florida, if that info is nec. to determine what kind of fishing gear would most likely be in this shop.
Thank for the morbid help.
