Open Question: What is this song? I can't find artist or title with lyric search?

I can't find any info on this song, the title, artist... My interpretation of the lyrics: No baby I can't tell, when it all went to hell. You came and went so fast, and I knew this couldn't last. So I made up my mind today, cause I can't stop it anyway. Now that I've got my memories, you can't take that from me. You don't know it but you saved my life. Ready, willing and you took the knife. You remember the day back then, when we went off to Mexican. I can pretend that you were mine, even just for a little while. Man I thought they would throw us out, when they told us to move the bed. Never heard so much noise they said, I guess we were in love back then. You don't know it but you saved my life. Ready, willing and you took the knife. Hey, now sunshine, dry those eyes. Cause I'd give anything for one more night. Now I can't even, I can't even fall asleep. You've taken the best of me, shattered and made me bleed. But I take it all in stride, please let me keep my pride. And I bury it deep inside, so now maybe I'll survive. You don't know it but you saved my life. Ready, willing and you took the knife. Hey now sunshine, dry those eyes. Cause I'd give anything for one more night. No baby I can't tell, when it all went to hell. But I think it's plain to see, your not in love with me. Thanks for your help! more

Open Question: Any suggestions for a good CD of children's songs?

I have tried buying many children's CDs, and I can't find a decent one. I want the classic kid's songs, like twinkle little star, there was a bear, old macdonald, etc... BUT I don't want them to be modified. It seems like all the kids songs have either versus deleted OR the lyrics are changed because they are too "scary". I feel a nursery rhyme and song should be read/sung they way it was originally written. I don't really have a preference on artist, just some nice classic songs. So, does anyone have any ideas for me? more

Open Question: I'm looking for the name/artist of a song?

I heard a rock song come on the radio (Station: The X) and can't get it out of my head. I tried to record some of the song, but the sound quality was very bad. Open Question: What's this song title...?

Alright, so, I doubt anyone can really help me, but I'm searching for a song. Thing is, I don't know the artist, song title or even if the lyrics are correct. I just know a female is singing and it seems to be soft rock. I always use to hear it when I was younger and the it literally songs like ... "Ladadalada". A really soft, sweet melody. So it's either: "They don't know that things can change, but it's the voices that..." OR "They don't know about it, but it's the..." OR "They don't know about us, but it's his voice that..." I really have no clue. I think the high pitch was like "but it's his voice..." or something another. I'm aware of how imprecise this is, but any help would be really appreciated! Thanks! ~*~PeachySweetS more

Open Question: Why do you guys (not all) stereotype rap so much?

"Rap is all about sex, violence, and drugs" "rap takes no talent" "Rap is unoriginal" "Rappers all dropped out of high school, that's why their rappers" "Rap is just a new fad, it'll all go away soon" "Rappers can't play instruments, thats why thy rap" 1. Rap is NOT all about sex, violence, and drugs. I KNOW the rock thats on the radio is all sex, drugs, violence, suicide. But, i also know, there's stuff that doen't get radioplay that is very good. WAY better than nickelback and sh*t. 2. Rap DOES take talent. You get a mic, create a good beat, write lyrics, and rap them. 90% of you cant do it. 3. You say this because rap takes samples of older rock music. How is this bad? Their supporting the rock bands/artists. It's not like we use that beat the whole song. And, I happen to know many rock bands that have done covers of rap songs. 3. Rock bands do samples on rap music also. now this is not nearly as popular in rock as it is in rap, but they do it. What IS popular in rock is they do covers of rap songs. Meaning, they do a rap song, but rock-ify it. 4. BIG stereotype. J-Live is one of my favorite rappers, and He has had his master's degree, and he was even a teacher for a few years. they don't just let some stupid-ass be a teacher. 5. As well as rap, rock was invented by blacks. AND, as well as rap, rock is very, very old. Some trace rap to the slaves. Some trace it back even further. It's not as old as rock, but it's still very old. 6. MANY rappers play instruments. B.o.B. can play every instrument rock bands do. Their are rap bands also. The roots are my favorite group of all time, and they have Bass, Sousaphone, Keyboard, Percussion, guitars, Drums, and a lead rapper.@slipknot im not saying that rocks a cover of rap, i'm saying Korn, NeverShot!Never, the Script, have all done covers of rap songs@Eiru exactly, I bet none of the rock fans that hate rap music have ever listened to underground, non-mainstream rap. Same with rap fans who hate rock. Which, annoy me just as much as rap-haters more

Open Question: HELP! What is this song? Title and or artist.?

I was driving in Michigan on my way back to school late the other night when a song came on. I had never heard it before and now I can't find anything through google. It was a top 40 radio station but they DJ made it sound like he was just coming out with his first stuff. He might have even been local? I have no clue. The lyrics I remember are "I know you got a man, I can hold the other hand." There was also a line about secrets or something. It sounded a little like something Kid Cudi might come out with. But when I google those lyrics all I get is results for I Know You Got A Man by Ludacris. THAT ISNT IT! I LOVED the song though so any help is appreciated. Thanks! :) more

Open Question: Is it possible to fall in love with someone you have met once?

I was pissed at my parents and just pissed at life, so I did what I normally did when that kinda thing happens. I go for a walk. I was feeling expecially bad so I ran about a mile from my house to a park. I slowed to a walk because I heard music, not just any music, music by my favorite artist NeverShoutNever. (He plays hippie kinda-ish muisic on his guitar and uke. He has a sweet soft voice and sings from the heart, I am constantly listeing to him. Any way, on with the story...) The song was Mailbox, so I stopped to listen to it. I found the musician to find that it was a boy, strumming away on his guitar and singing along. I walked up to him and said "I love that song" (ME) "So do I, it's one of his best pieces" (HIM) "Do you know anymore?" (ME) "Yeah." then he started playing Trouble and we started to belt out the lyrics.I took a seat next to him under a tree and we sang all after noon, and gave a concert to a lizard we named Jerry. (I know were weird, but whatever) After about 3 hours, my mom freaked out and came to find me. She pulled me away from him and made me go home. I didn't get a phone number or a last name. But I think I'm in love. I can't stop thinking about him and the time we spent. Is it possible to love someone after only an afternoon? more

Open Question: Can you tell me which of these verses is better? And rate them both?

Here are two Dead Presidents verses I wrote, I'm using the second verse on my homeboys mixtape. One is about greed and one is about politics and I wanted to know which one y'all think is better. Here's the greed verse original verse: Welcome to the country of the brave and the free But if you wanna be free it'll cost ya a fee They say the root of all evil is this money If that's true we got no problems growin' a tree Everybody out here's tryna make 'em a G That's why a hustla's on the block just pushin' a ki Soulja Boy even wnet and sold his dignity The American Dream is spelled G-R-Double E-D For a lil doe we'd betray each other A good son would even go and sell his mother Green is stronger than the bond between brothers You can marry a woman but cash ya true lover The rap game's about to gp R.I.P. Cuz rappers from LA up to NYC Don't wanna work hard like P-A-C They just want clothes, hoes, and I-C-E These greedy rappers are musics enemy This musics been corrupted by the industry Ya see good lyrics is so cost-i-ly And labels don't wanna buy a simile Hip hop might not be survivn' G Cuz artists are actin' so miserly But everyone wants to see their dollars stacked Ain't you heard the story of David Mack? He wasn't a dealer or a mobster But greed turned him from a cop to a robber Cash is all we want and I'm not lyin' Like Fif, he got rich then he stopped tryin' The Church wants tithes and si-mony Magic Johnsin paid the AIDS to leave his body See if you ain't got buck the world ain't nice Hookers is honest about it, but everybody got a price And here's the more political rewrite. Our political situation been lookin' a lil bit funky Cuz most these politicians don't give a damn about this country The campaignin' for ambition On a self servin' mission Standin' on a slimy slope and I can tell that they been slippin' When they only care about the power in they position And they couldn't give a damn if a lil kid got a pot to piss in I may sound like a cynic with these rhymes I been spittin' But you gon' here the truth if you give it a listen See thinkin' like them is gon lead to our destruction Cuz power minus integrity equals our corruption It's like ya priniciples ya wife and that makes power lustin' Ya sexy secretary who's awful good at suckin' Temptation may seem nice but ya gotta fight that seduction Now matter how bad you wanna give up and start f*ckin Cuz givin' in is why they got warlords in Africa Do you wanna see them in Northern America? I've watched politicians and seen how they do They like gangbangers the way they trip over reds and blues But they don't jack cars or do drive bys with K's They just bomb ya land and take ya rights away Some just want rights and protection For white Anglo-Saxon Christians I thought the law didn't care about race or religion What about the followers of Islam, Buddha, 'n atheism? Tell me do you care for us? Or do we not fit into your America? Unless we kill the corruption and hypocrisy We gon' see the death of our democracy? Please tell me what you think, I'm open to constructive criticism. more

Resolved Question: If you could ask any band/artist one question who would you ask, what would you ask and why?

I would either ask Lady GaGa how she has the confidence to feel good in her skin and wear what ever she wants regardless of what others think. Open Question: Do you personally believe music is haram?

I love singing and love performing. It's the only talent that I've had ever since childhood and I get very frustrated when I see people with other talents who are able to pursue them. LeBron can do basketball, Michael Phelps can swim, but I cannot sing? I'm not singing with the intention of seducing anyone, just expressing myself. Music myself has helped me very much in the past -- just listening to lyrics that make you feel like your not the only one going through crap in your life. So how can this be haram? Maybe it's because of my lack of knowledge or my refusal to believe music is haram since it is my passion...I do not know. But it is very, very upsetting and frustrating. And how do you refute proof that Music is halal: 1) ‘Aishah narrated that during the days of Mina, on the day of ‘Eid al-Adha, two girls were with her, singing and playing on a hand drum. The Prophet Mohammad, peace be on him, was present, listening to them with his head under a shawl. Abu Bakr then entered and scolded the girls. The Prophet, uncovering his face, told him, “Let them be, Abu Bakr. These are the days of ‘Eid.” (Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim.) 2) Narrated Abu Musa: “That the Prophet said to him ‘O Abu Musa! You have been given one of the musical wind-instruments of the family of David.’ (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Virtues of the Qur’an, Volume 6, Book 61, Number 568)” 3) Let us look at Noble Verse 4:163 “We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms.” 4) Let us look at Noble Verse 17:55 “And it is your Lord that knoweth best all beings that are in the heavens and on earth: We did bestow on some prophets more (and other) gifts than on others: and We gave to David (the gift of) the Psalms.” 5) In the above Saying (Hadith) and Noble Verses, we clearly see that Allah Almighty did send the Book of Psalm to Prophet David peace be upon him. We also see that Allah Almighty called that Book a gift. If Allah Almighty allowed David peace be upon him and his followers to sing and play music, then how could we then claim that music is sinful and prohibited? It's just hard knowing that your talented in an area. I mean I love Islam but I do not, for example, want to become a recording artist, and then feel as if I'm going to burn in hell everytime I go on stage. *Sigh* more

Open Question: Help! What's the name/artist of this song?

It's a hit song from last year I think. It was played on the radio like all the time. I don't remember anything else about it than that during the second or third time the main verse was played an (annoying!) cell phone beeping sound was also added (which "beeped" the melody along with the other instruments and vocals). It's kinda indie rock/pop, with male vocals. Pretty sure it's a band, and a popular one at that. I can't for the life of me remember a single word of the lyrics, and this really bugs me! Thanks in advance, hope someone knows what song I'm talking about :DNo, not Fireflies. It's a bit more rockish than that, and the cell phone beeps are sharper and more "old school" (=monophonic), not polyphonic/soft bleeps like in Fireflies, hehe.Nope, not Good Girls Go Bad either. The beeping sound is more distinct than that. And I remember that it doesn't come along until after the second half of the song, and it plays the main melody once, very clearly. No, not House of Jealous Lovers or Papillon. But thanks for trying! more
