I need help to find out what I need in order for my husband's website to be up and running. He has gotten quotes of around 5K but we do not have that much to invest upfront. I have designed websites before, but never to the degree of what he needs for his site. He coaches high school sports and wants to have a site for students to be seen by college recruiters and we have come up with the following requirements. He is afraid that if we do not go through a professional, that we may not have covered everything if the site begins to have high traffic. Ok I know this sounds quite stupid but a couple of days ago I was in the John Lewis on Oxford Street, and someone sprayed a really nice perfume on me but I didn't see what it was. He was standing near the Chanel counter and there were some big banners advertising it, which I think had a large rectangular bottle with slightly curved sides and definitely had a golden coloured perfume in. I've been on the Chanel website and I think it's either No.5 or Coco, but I'm not sure why they would be advertising those when they're not new, I guess No.5 is more likely because it's like the classic... Most advertising agents I've found require publisher content to receive a steady flow of traffic which is out of my current demand. Are there any pay per click or pay per banner impression agencies who accept very low traffic (less than 100 unique hits per day) content? Any other ideas altogether? My content meets a dedicated niche so I doubt it will ever be on the same level as say Facebook or Google. The title basically describes it. I wish to create a website which users can upload drivers and download drivers for their computer. (Because we all know how hard some drivers are to find!) And our area of the company has grown enormously in the last year so there has been more focus and money thrown at us (since online businesses are growing at a rapid pace nowadays). So things have been restructured a bit and I just acquired a new boss. She told me flat out that what I get paid ($45,600) is way below industry standards….so she is going to work on getting me more money. Especially since new people below me will be brought in (since we are much larger part of the business now) at/around my current salary. But she wants me to do research to see what other people in my role are getting paid. I did plenty of research…looked on monster, salary.com, simply hired.com, but didn’t come up with anything informative. When I did searches for my title…it gave me a general salary…which was inbetween $65-80,000 a year. But none of them really came with descriptions. So when I presented this to my boss, she said that because they don’t have descriptions, this information isn’t exactly credible (since those positions might not be exactly what I do). So just reaching out -- asking if anyone can give me any information on what is accurate pay for an Ecommerce Operations Manager? If you are one, or know someone who is in this role…if you could give me any type of credible information that I could give to my supervisor, would be an enormous help! A little background, I’ve been working for this company for almost 5 years. I came fresh out of college starting out as product setup person (set up and pushed all new product to the site)…also did a lot of photoshop touch up work. But since then I’ve been promoted 4 times. But here is some of what I do: Responsible for on time execution and accuracy of all online content, art and site promotional programs. Manages the operations team to ensure all new site updates are implemented on schedule. (2 people report directly to me) Responsible for managing the process to push all products to the site, as well as all landing pages and banners. Creates, controls and updates all navigational changes. Creates collections of product for each trend or promotion being advertised on web or through email,. Build an online catalog for each mail piece The in-house expert for all ecom operations systems/tools. Trains all operations team members in tools, and production practices including QA processes. Works with merchant team to assure satisfactory representation of all products online. Proofs and approves all emails prior to scheduling. Review daily online analytics for visitor behavior online using Omniture and other reporting Responsible as the team lead in new feature or site development on an ongoing basis. Usually the different Christian cults will advertise only their specific version of Christianity but it seems as though all Christian cults are getting behind this. Do you think this indicates that Christian cults are responding to a threat? The threat being the fact that people just aren’t interested in Christian rubbish anymore and no one cares about threats of hell or a vengeful invisible god, so the Christian response to this is to put aside their differences, join forces and pool their efforts to prolong the life of the Jesus delusion in their society? more
