moreResolved Question: Who Agrees In These 10 Reasons Peyton Manning Is Overrated?
1.- He's accumulated his great passing stats playing in a dome for half his games, and playing mainly southern teams in good-weather cities the rest of the time, both of which are conducive to better stats that manly outdoor coldweather cities like Boston, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, etc.
2.- He's 9-9 in postseason play...regardless of his regular season stats, when it matters most, he's
a .500 quarterback.
3.- His defense doesn't hold him back as much as advertised. He's had players to help on defense like Dwight Freeney, Bob Sanders, Bethea, Harper, etc, but he can't get it done.
4.- He's had a sensational offense around him: Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Edgerrin James, Joseph Addai, Dallas Clark, etc, give him a lot of opportunities but he still can't get it done.
5.- His only ring, came against a team led by Rex Grossman...I mean, does it get any easier than that?
6.- He's not classy at all...he was too much of a self-absorbed crybaby to stay and shake Drew Brees' hand and Sean Payton's hand after the game, he's constantly chewing out his own players on the field anytime there's a miscommunication, etc.
7.- He crumbles in key moments...his horrible interception against New Orleans is just part of it. Does anyone remember the field-day Ty Law had on him against New England in the playoffs a few years ago? Does anybody remember the Steelers going into Indy in 2005 and Roethlisberger making Manning look like his back-up? Or the Chargers stealing their candy over and over again?
8.- His franchise has done some cheating too. Everyone talks about the Patriot's videotape-gate. But does anybody else remember the Colts getting caught playing high-decibel audio of amplified home-crowd noise when the opponent had the ball to try to artificially induce opponent false starts?
9.- He's one dimensional...with guys like Steve Young, Fran Tarkenton, Ben Roethlisberger, and Brett Farve, you never knew when the play was over...they'd sometimes make insane plays 8 seconds after the snap...if Peyton doesn't have his read early, he throws it away or curls up in a ball.
10.- He's so damn ugly. There's gotta be a deduction just for ugliness alone. That horrendous receding hairline and towering forehead? That dumb inbred country look? That perfectly vertical trot walk onto the field? I mean, if there's style points thrown in for best ever, Peyton gets zero.
All joking aside, I look at his career, and he seems to have mastered the art of playing flawless in unimportant games, and making horrendous mistakes in critical ones.

Hi everyone,
I've been working for almost seven years as an international finance controller in two major multinational French companies in Paris, one in outdoor advertising and one in pharmaceutical softwares and today I want to operate a major professional change with a double objective in mind: enter the entertainment industry and ideally come work in the US.
I've looked around on the internet and I found some very good MBA specialized in entertainment ( more specifically UCLA, USC, NYU and Columbia).
As every student applying for these kind of schools, I'm wondering what my chances are to be accepted in these programs ? One of my main concerns is the fact that I have NO experience at all in the entertainment industry so I was wondering if this was an obstacle to enter these types of MBA programs ?
Thanks in advance for your answer, I really appreciate your help.

moreResolved Question: What type of ammo is this?
I was watching the Outdoor Channel last night and there was a commercial that came on showing a rodent exploding into a ball of fire. The next scene showed a coyote howling and then also exploding into a ball of fire. The commercial was actually advertising ammo that explodes into a ball of fire when it hits the target. The last little scene showed a shooting target getting hit by this ammo and catching fire as well. Unfortunately, I don't have any more details than this. Any idea what type of ammo this might be and who makes it? Thanks! Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I thought it was rather strange to be shooting small critters with ammunition that would result in a flaming furry fireball.I should also mention that I just really enjoyed the commercial, so was hoping to find it on YouTube or something. It was super funny to see these critters go KABOOM advertising their ammo. Couldn't really find anything on the web unfortunately.

moreResolved Question: Any tips for a photographic portfolio?
I know this is a bit long.. I don't expect anyone to answer everything, but if you could answer even one or two questions for me, that'd be great!
I'm a student photographer and am planning on putting together my portfolio over my xmas break and next summer!
I want to work as a childrens portrait photographer both in a studio and outdoors, and I have a fair few shots already that I can use in the portfolio. Should I stick to just pics of kids in the portfolio considering this is the area I want to work in? Or should I have other pictures in it too? If I should, should i mostly have kids, and a just few other pictures, or half kids and half other stuff, etc.?
I've got plenty of pictures of friends and family's kids that I have permission to use and will be doing some more shoots of the same kids over my break, but i don't want all the pictures to be of all the same kids. How could I get more parents willing to let me photograph their kids? I've asked friends and family to mention what i'm doing to people they know with children. I have also advertised online, but obviously people are a little reluctant to let strangers photograph their children. Maybe I worded the advertisment badly.. What exactly should I say?
I have access to a studio, and will also be doing some outdoor shots (but the outdoor ones will mainly be during the summer, cause the weather is pretty bad this time of year where I live). Any ideas of places I could bring them for shoots? I've already taken them to places like the playground and zoo.. Also, any good ideas for studio set ups?
How should it present the portfolio? Are A4 prints a good size? Would you suggest a matte or glossy finish? About how many prints should I have? I def won't have too little, but i'm a little afraid i'll over do it and have way too many pictures. What should I put them in? Is there some sort of universal holder that people use for portfolios, or do they vary?
I'll obv have to do up contracts to have the parents of each child sign.. I'll be putting in it that I have permission to use the pictures in my portfolio.. Anything else I need to outline in it?
Any other tips?
Thank you,
Aisling

moreResolved Question: Are the two sheds on the property included in the sale of the house - mentioned on MLS listing?
We're in the process of purchasing a short sale in Rhode Island and we've been involved since April. We finally have the approval from the seller’s lender and have completed our inspections and appraisal. The house was occupied up until last month when the seller moved out. This past weekend she held an indoor moving sale (we know because the house was setup for it on inspection day).
I came across an ad on Craigslist advertising the moving sale and she listed the items she wanted to sell. None of it mattered to us except that she listed the two outdoor sheds for sale as well. The sheds have been on the property for years and were specifically listed on the MLS listing. We didn’t specifically mention the sheds in the offer or contract but they were implied with the “house and property to remain AS-IS”. We always assumed they had to stay since they are structures on the property and were specifically mentioned in the listing. The exact line in the MLS listing was, “2 sheds in fenced yard.”
Is she required to leave the sheds given this information or is she allowed to sell them whenever she wants? We have contacted our agent and are waiting for his call back, I’m just curious in the mean time.
Thanks!

moreResolved Question: Rescued a Chocolate Lab from Shelter to rehome (how??)?
Hi,
I know I was a tad bit impulsive and so I'm springing a Chocolate Lab out of an animal shelter to rehome him. My motive was that I personally would love to keep this one for myself (he would get along with my Lab), however my other dogs are too aggressive to allow me to do this. I'd like to NOT bring a newbie into a situation that would offer poor socialization. Nevertheless, the shelter that he is at is in a sleepy county town, how on earth can one advertise a dog there, I thought! I feel that he just needs advertising! Anyways, I'm now thinking Oh boy! What have I done! I do have to rehome him thanks to my miserable dogs (LOL) bad attitudes. My dogs are not aggressive as long as I am present but if I'm not around, they'll pick fights. I have zero problems controlling all 4 anywhere (but I'm not a pro trainer, yet I've had full success training my own dogs in an informal manner for agility, and so forth...yet its been a long time since I've started from scratch!). I do have an outdoor kennel but that's as bad as letting a dog live in the shelter. I'd prefer to have the dog in a home environment to evaluate him. They did not (and do not) do temperament tests at this shelter (I wish they did!). I wish they would neuter dogs (oh, and heartworm test!) **before** placing them for adoption, in my opinion. I have plenty of dog experience and have witnessed the fabulous transformation that decreased testosterone can have on a dog, reducing its interest in roaming, and so forth. Ok, I may go onto a rant here! Also, it was way too easy to adopt at this shelter. They didn't ask for much info from me except my drivers license # (no home check, no interest in my financial situation, or pet experience, nothing!...I thought that was a little bit unusual, imo).
I've never done rescue before, but now that I am involved I want to do at least this one successful rehome. I'm wondering, what did I get myself into!!! Maybe this is a lost cause? I have no clue what the success rate is for dog adoptions.
Actually, I'll let you know that I already (in under 5 hours from coming back from the shelter from paying for his adoption fee) do have a potential adopter lined up. It's a couple (working nurses) who want a Chocolate Lab. I'm still hesitant though! because they have a dog that may be a problem because he's sensitive and likely a jealous nipper. They told me that he is rather submissive around other dogs. However, they've only had him around female dogs that were smaller than him and well socialized. I know their dog. But I only barely know the Chocolate Lab that I want to rehome. It's terribly hard to test him at the shelter! From my initial impression of him, I think he'll be fine with other dogs that are his size. But, in my experience, even Labs will pick fights with other dogs that bite first...which means this one may not work out.
Anyways,
if anyone can feed me ideas about how to do a proper rehome, send me information!Just to let everyone know, I worked with the shelter and River has been officially adopted!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) These dogs in my opinion just need ADVERTISING!!! Thanks for all the advice, and yes, I understand that I jumped in too fast, mostly it was on gut instinct because I saw this dog and thought I could get him adopted quickly. It worked!! But, yes, I'll be doing things differently next time (temperament testing first and so forth....getting statements in writing - contracts and what not!!! I wasn't unaware of this, I just made the silly mistake of thinking that the shelter had done it before placing dogs up for adoption). Thanks for the information, rescue is a daunting task!!!

Guys, as you are aware we have a global economic crisis that had a major effect on the casual dining business. I had set targets for 2009 but until I did not achieve those targets due to the economic-recession crisis. I am witnessing loss rather than generating profit (sales increase). The casual dining industry is gaining from Ex-Fine-dining guests who have become more value conscious, yet have lost other guests, who have down-traded to Quick service restaurants concepts for the same economic reason. We play in the fine dining area to a large extent.
I am asking your help to come up with a regional consumer promotion that would boost sales and most important generate traffic to the restaurant. I am looking for something that could have a strong impact and could be advertised using not only in-store support but also outdoor.
At this stage I am looking for concept ideas with proposed prizes.
Objective of this promotion:
1.Boost sales
2.Create impact and word of mouth
3.Generate traffic to the restaurant

Timing:
Could be executed anytime. The promotion will be considered during the coming months

moreResolved Question: Any advice for opening a cat shelter?
I'm planning on opening a cat sanctuary/adoption center. I've been planning it for years and now that I'm buying my own house, it can finally happen. I'm buying a small outdoor building, with a/c and heat of course. I'm planning on having about sixteen cages. Some may end up holding several cats each if they are in a litter. My plan is to rescue strays from streets and "kill shelters" and put them up for adoption through internet, newspaper, tv, etc. People will also be able to drop cats off for adoption for a small fee. I have a lot of ideas. I've raised cats my whole life, including several foster cats that needed rehabilitation. I've raised kittens and sickly cats that needed attention around the clock. I know all the signs of different feline diseases and know the importance of keeping the cats separated and keeping their environment clean. Here are my main questions:
How many cats can I have without being recognized as an actually organization and needing a permit? (I live in Calera, OK) Or where can I go to figure that out?
Where is a good place/site to get cat food, litter, vitamins, flea and tick drops, and vaccines in bulk?
How can I give the cats "outside time" in a large caged area outside the building without spreading diseases?
Any good advertising ideas?
I appreciate any help :)One last thing that weighs heavily on my mind.. I want to have a no-kill shelter, but what about the cats that don't get adopted? No matter how cozy I make their cages, I wonder if that is that a good enough life for them.

Recently, CBS Outdoor refused to sell billboard space to a conservative group (and has instructed sales reps to reject any future ads) asking a simple questions: "Where's the birth certificate?"
Personally, I don't have a problem with this, because it is a business and business should be allowed to do what they want. However, i can think of many cases where people will be up in arms say if a pro-gay marriage billboard was turned-down.

I seen a best buy commercial that was advertising a radio that is built into a fake rock. It's an all weather radio meant to be used for outdoor purposes. I can't find it on their site and I can't find a single one online. Anyone know of a site that has this?
moreResolved Question: Diagnosis: What is this condition? A cold? A disease? Some kind of poisoning?
I went to a school car wash with all of my friends. Of course there was soap splashing, water spraying, and the like, but I was one of the few people who didn't really go into the assembly line until the very last car, because I spent my hours jumping up and down frantically, "advertising" for the car wash by screaming out: "SCHOOL CAR WASH!!! ONLY $5!!!!". But during the last car wash, I was, of course, soaked in soap and water by my friends! It was soooo much funnn...
After wards, my friends and I walked over to someones house, took off our clothes, and relaxed in an outdoor hot tub (IN THE BATHING SUITS WE HAD UNDER :D). I accidentally swallowed some of the chlorine water, which was filled with leaves, twigs, and other... junk... eww... Anyways I was running around in my bathing suit, until my dad picked me up... before everyone else... ugh... The rest of that day, I was extremely COLD... and when my mom and I were supposed to go to Target to pick up some things, I stayed in the car, with the heater on, and the windows barely open. I had fallen asleep, and when my mom came back into the car, she saw me drenched with sweat, but I felt like I only needed to be warmer...
Before that day my friend was coughing near me, without covering her mouth... I will DESPISE her if she's the one that gave me this...
And now I'm experiencing these symptoms:
-Coldness, shivers
-A small red blotch above my lips under my nose (It doesn't itch... It feels like normal skin)
-Sensitive hands (This makes playing the piano very difficult and irritating...)
-A... full... stomach... I can tell when I'm hungry, but after I eat, I feel like my stomach is being stretched... and I fell pain on the sides...
-Nausea, but not enough to actually make me throw up...
-Fatigue... even though I got 13 hours of sleep last night... :'(
-Pain in my right arm... I can't lift it beyond a certain point (Though I DOUBT it's part of this.... condition I have...)
-I had a small headache yesterday... But it went away after I drank water... I suppose it was merely dehydration...
WHAT IS THIS??? I'M SO F***ING WORRIED!!! GAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

moreResolved Question: Loaning out my horse....[advert help!]?
I am (rather reluctantly) having to put one of my horses out on loan due to lack of time. Where abouts could I advertise him? (websites - uk). Also, how does this advert sound:
Stevie is a 16.2hh TB x ID, 13 years old. He is coming back into work after some time off (due to owner's lack of time) and is currently being schooled by BHSII. He requires an experienced, confident rider as he has great potential but can be sharp. Forward going, big bold jump. 100% in and out of the stable, to catch, shoe etc. Requires sedation for clipping but owner will handle this when winter comes. He is available for part loan or full loan and a contribution is required (£25per week for part loan - 3 days, or £50 a week for full loan). He is stabled at a beautiful yard near Durham with excellent facilities include large indoor and outdoor arenas, jumps, all year turnout and BHSII on site who teaches. A four week trial with weekly lessons from on site instructor is compulsory to ensure both you and my horse get on well, thereafter a contract must be signed to protect both parties. Possible opportunity to compete in the future. No novices, children or timewasters please. Also on the end
"Sorry but no hacking."
moreResolved Question: I need opinions from you based on personal facts...any help?
I have been torn for many yrs trying to decide what to do with myself. When I was much younger I wanted to be a lawyer but after thoroughly thinking it through I decided I couldn't & wouldn't be able to defend a criminal. I also wanted badly to become a farrier (a person who trims & shoes horses hooves) but a back problem kept me from fulfilling that desire. Anyway...I have recently been seriously considering different options for a career. I have taken many career aptitude tests & have asked every person who knows me what they feel are my strengths, talents or skills. I have been given a huge surprise by doing this. All the people and tests tell me I'm destined to be a Psychologist, the strange & shocking part is this is what I've always felt I should be doing but never seriously thought I could do not to mention well. I have spent many hrs over the yrs in person & on the phone with multiple people asking for a listening ear or advice. Everybody told me I obviously enjoy cleaning & am good at it, I'm a good listener & have a great way about me to tell someone in a direct & honest way what I think when asked, I am patient but not afraid to stop people from enabling themselves or others. I am a passionate person & do well in all I do.
Here's my problem though, I am 27yrs old, just got my GED this last Feb & have no funds for college. If I were to pursue this career it would take about 8-10yrs to complete entirely which puts me at quite an old age for the profession doesn't it? Here's a general look at my status currently, I work doing housekeeping at two hotels, I have done construction work physically, the accounting, advertising, & other paperwork. I was also a security officer. I worked at a variety store as an opener/closer, accounting & customer service/cashier. I am married & have been for 4yrs, we have no children & may never be able to have our own. We bought our house on ten acres about 6yrs ago & our vehicles are paid for but our credit isn't great because of my hubby's construction business going under a couple yrs ago. Please help if you can, I need your honest opinion as to what I should try to do.
Here is a list of my top skills, talents & strengths: I like to clean, organize, work independantly & with other competent people with simular interests, give advice, listen to problems, take care of animals, learn new things & to know everything I possibly can about something, I have a soft spot in my heart for abused children & animals among others, I would like to do fundraising for helpful organizations, I would like to be a foster parent or adoptive parent, I have great spelling & grammar, I excel educationally in Science with 99% & with Reading, Language Arts & Social Studies very close behind within the 90%s range, I enjoy research & analysing things (especially people) I enjoy any outdoor sports, fishing, hunting, hiking, etc, oh & I would love to be able to save the world both emotionally & physically! LOL seriously though I'd appreciate any comment(s) you may have for me, I've honestly never been so scared to take such a huge leap before. With my age & uneasiness about my own success I am scared. I usually put myself on the back burner so I can help everyone else & I've learned how to say "no" sometimes but still so unsure because I feel like I'm being pulled many different directions!!!
Thanks for taking the time to read my rambling!I'm so very sorry this got so long! Thanks again for your time.

I heard that a company in South Beach, Miami, was advertising companies using their smart cars. It seems to be such a great idea! Finally we can expose our business outdoor even if the smallest areas and their hostesses also distribute samples and flyers at different stop locations! Check their website at www.smartinthecityusa.com.

moreResolved Question: Business Law Question?
I have an assignment in which I need to figure out whom would win a particular case and why. The general idea is that an advertising company owns several billboards in a city. The city passes an ordinance that prohibits outdoor advertising to prevent distracted drivers. The company sues the city. Who wins, and why?
I'm not looking for the answer, but I'm pretty lost as to where I should be looking. I'm not sure if I should be looking into civil torts, violation of an Amendment (free speech), or an intellectual property violation. Just a hint of where I should be looking would be great. Thanks!
moreResolved Question: Need some logic about possible boarding decision.?
I am slowly working up to deciding to buy a horse. I am 43--not getting any younger. My older daughter is almost 12, so a good age to have one for her, too. I also have a 4 yo daugher.
We ride at a medium sized hunter/jumper barn. We have an open lease, so we ride whatever is available. Sometimes my daughter doesn't have much choice if all the beginner horses have already gone out. So, I wish she had her own. And, I've always wanted a horse. It's time.
Anyway, the barn we ride at charges $475/mo for full board. Field board is not an option there (she's full). She has an indoor ring, an outdoor ring, and trails. She will also trailer your horse to shows (for a fee). This is also where my daughter takes lessons. (Me too, when I can find time/money).
I'm stuck because I keep thinking I need to afford the $475 monthly to get a horse. My daughter loves her trainer and her friends and is very sure she does not want to change barns.
I am trying to look at this logically, looking for options. Today I saw a farm less than a mile away advertising field board. We could hack over to our barn fairly easily (just one medium sized road to cross). But I don't think we'd do it every week, so she wouldn't always have a lesson on her own horse.
There is also a barn 1.5 miles away that is small, offering full board for $375. We could hack to our current barn from there, but it would be challenging. We could do it for horse shows only, probably (our barn has training shows almost every week in summer).
At first I thought I should just find a way to pay (or wait until I can afford) the fee at our barn. I can imagine a lot of headaches with hacking over, and we probably wouldn't do it much.
Now I'm wondering if I should seriously check into the other two barns, with the idea that my daughter would just have to deal with not having our own horse for the lessons.
Our current barn is not perfect--but it is very family oriented. The owner was even going to loan me her farm use vehicle one day when our car broke down. Then she called someone's dad, who is a mechanic, and he came and fixed our car! Obviously, we feel at home at this place.
Can anyone help me look at all this information logically and come up with a next step? Thanks bunches!!!
Oh, and do you find the horse first, or the boarding situation? I am assuming the boarding situation!Yes, Yes, I know about all the other expenses. That is why I'm 43 and don't have a horse yet. I am stuck because emotionally I'd like to have it all and stay at our current barn, but logically to make this work, the board fee will have to be less. I don't have time to work off the board, but maybe my daughter does. That's a good first question. Thanks for all the great cost saving ideas and things to think about!

moreResolved Question: What would make you choose a doctor?
Specifically an orthopedic surgeon?
I'm working on a campaign for one of my classes. Basically, its an entire advertisng/pr campaign for a local group of orthopedic surgeons. There are an extremely high number of orthopedic surgeons in Austin, so many have been forced to start advertising their services in order to keep up with competitors.
Personally, I would probably choose one based on referals from other doctors, and research of this group's current patients shows that 95% of them have indeed chosen them because of primary care physician referals. Honestly, if you had to find an orthopedic, would you ever pay attention to advertisements or would you find them to rank up there with the cheesy attorney television commercials?
If you would take ads for doctors seriously, what types would make you most want to go to those doctors? i.e. internet, magazine, newspaper, outdoor ads(billboards, banners, etc), or any other types of ads.I agree with you. I don't think that I would personally ever choose a doctor on an ad, haha. Which is kind of the problem I'm having with this project.
I agree that you should feel comfortable talking to your doctor, but my concern is how you would choose that doctor to being with, before you have had a chance to talk with him.Haha, funny you should mention the sports medicine doctor that OU uses. One of the doctors in the group I'm dealing with is the main orthopedic for the University of Texas football and basketball teams. I'm sure they'd love to be compared to OU doctors, haha.
