Three of the largest media companies in the United States have all banned the simple billboard message "Where’s The Birth Certificate?" Resolved Question: Need consumer promotions ideas for casual dining restaurant?

Guys, as you are aware we have a global economic crisis that had a major effect on the casual dining business. I had set targets for 2009 but until I did not achieve those targets due to the economic-recession crisis. I am witnessing loss rather than generating profit (sales increase). The casual dining industry is gaining from Ex-Fine-dining guests who have become more value conscious, yet have lost other guests, who have down-traded to Quick service restaurants concepts for the same economic reason. We play in the fine dining area to a large extent. I am asking your help to come up with a regional consumer promotion that would boost sales and most important generate traffic to the restaurant. I am looking for something that could have a strong impact and could be advertised using not only in-store support but also outdoor. At this stage I am looking for concept ideas with proposed prizes. Objective of this promotion: 1.Boost sales 2.Create impact and word of mouth 3.Generate traffic to the restaurant 4.Increase guest check Requirement: To come up with a regional promotion covering KSA, UAE, KWT, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar markets. Some restrictions in KSA 1.You can’t offer travel trip outside the Kingdom Timing: Could be executed anytime. The promotion will be considered during the coming months Target Group: -20-40 years -Friends and Families -Both Males and Females Guys, I highly appreciate yoru support and help on that. more

Resolved Question: Any advice for opening a cat shelter?

I'm planning on opening a cat sanctuary/adoption center. I've been planning it for years and now that I'm buying my own house, it can finally happen. I'm buying a small outdoor building, with a/c and heat of course. I'm planning on having about sixteen cages. Some may end up holding several cats each if they are in a litter. My plan is to rescue strays from streets and "kill shelters" and put them up for adoption through internet, newspaper, tv, etc. People will also be able to drop cats off for adoption for a small fee. I have a lot of ideas. I've raised cats my whole life, including several foster cats that needed rehabilitation. I've raised kittens and sickly cats that needed attention around the clock. I know all the signs of different feline diseases and know the importance of keeping the cats separated and keeping their environment clean. Here are my main questions: How many cats can I have without being recognized as an actually organization and needing a permit? (I live in Calera, OK) Or where can I go to figure that out? Where is a good place/site to get cat food, litter, vitamins, flea and tick drops, and vaccines in bulk? How can I give the cats "outside time" in a large caged area outside the building without spreading diseases? Any good advertising ideas? I appreciate any help :)One last thing that weighs heavily on my mind.. I want to have a no-kill shelter, but what about the cats that don't get adopted? No matter how cozy I make their cages, I wonder if that is that a good enough life for them. more

Voting Question: How can I advertise locally that's cheap and effective to find vendors for a new flea market?

I've tried freecycle to offer free coupons, and I've also tried on craigslist. I'm in a couple papers and plan on giving out flyers at a local farmer's market that's on a different day than ours(so I'm not stepping on anyones toes). Does anyone have any other ideas, especially online that might be effective? It's in Richmond Illinois if that helps(5911 Route 173). There is an indoor flea market a couple properties down the street, but ours is an outdoor one. Thanks more

Resolved Question: What do you think of CBS Outdoor banning "Where's the Birth Certificate" billboards?

Recently, CBS Outdoor refused to sell billboard space to a conservative group (and has instructed sales reps to reject any future ads) asking a simple questions: "Where's the birth certificate?" Personally, I don't have a problem with this, because it is a business and business should be allowed to do what they want. However, i can think of many cases where people will be up in arms say if a pro-gay marriage billboard was turned-down. What is everyone's else opinion on this issue? Please do not give me your opinion on whether you think Obama is eligible to be President, just give me your opinion on whether you agree with CBS Outdoor decision to ban the billboard. Any stock holders of CBS? How do you feel? Advertising is usually one of the first things to go when businesses are cutting back, so billboard space is not exactly in high demand.wendy c, WOW. Had a little to much KOOL-AID, have we?Sweet Caroline said "Most of us saw a copy of the birth certificate on the internet before the election" I see a lot of things on the internet. Resolved Question: Diagnosis: What is this condition? A cold? A disease? Some kind of poisoning?

I went to a school car wash with all of my friends. Of course there was soap splashing, water spraying, and the like, but I was one of the few people who didn't really go into the assembly line until the very last car, because I spent my hours jumping up and down frantically, "advertising" for the car wash by screaming out: "SCHOOL CAR WASH!!! ONLY $5!!!!". But during the last car wash, I was, of course, soaked in soap and water by my friends! It was soooo much funnn... After wards, my friends and I walked over to someones house, took off our clothes, and relaxed in an outdoor hot tub (IN THE BATHING SUITS WE HAD UNDER :D). I accidentally swallowed some of the chlorine water, which was filled with leaves, twigs, and other... junk... eww... Anyways I was running around in my bathing suit, until my dad picked me up... before everyone else... ugh... The rest of that day, I was extremely COLD... and when my mom and I were supposed to go to Target to pick up some things, I stayed in the car, with the heater on, and the windows barely open. I had fallen asleep, and when my mom came back into the car, she saw me drenched with sweat, but I felt like I only needed to be warmer... Before that day my friend was coughing near me, without covering her mouth... I will DESPISE her if she's the one that gave me this... And now I'm experiencing these symptoms: -Coldness, shivers -A small red blotch above my lips under my nose (It doesn't itch... It feels like normal skin) -Sensitive hands (This makes playing the piano very difficult and irritating...) -A... full... stomach... I can tell when I'm hungry, but after I eat, I feel like my stomach is being stretched... and I fell pain on the sides... -Nausea, but not enough to actually make me throw up... -Fatigue... even though I got 13 hours of sleep last night... :'( -Pain in my right arm... I can't lift it beyond a certain point (Though I DOUBT it's part of this.... condition I have...) -I had a small headache yesterday... But it went away after I drank water... I suppose it was merely dehydration... WHAT IS THIS??? I'M SO F***ING WORRIED!!! GAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! more

Resolved Question: Loaning out my horse....[advert help!]?

I am (rather reluctantly) having to put one of my horses out on loan due to lack of time. Where abouts could I advertise him? (websites - uk). Also, how does this advert sound: Stevie is a 16.2hh TB x ID, 13 years old. He is coming back into work after some time off (due to owner's lack of time) and is currently being schooled by BHSII. He requires an experienced, confident rider as he has great potential but can be sharp. Forward going, big bold jump. 100% in and out of the stable, to catch, shoe etc. Requires sedation for clipping but owner will handle this when winter comes. He is available for part loan or full loan and a contribution is required (£25per week for part loan - 3 days, or £50 a week for full loan). He is stabled at a beautiful yard near Durham with excellent facilities include large indoor and outdoor arenas, jumps, all year turnout and BHSII on site who teaches. A four week trial with weekly lessons from on site instructor is compulsory to ensure both you and my horse get on well, thereafter a contract must be signed to protect both parties. Possible opportunity to compete in the future. No novices, children or timewasters please. Also on the end "Sorry but no hacking." more

Resolved Question: I need opinions from you based on personal facts...any help?

I have been torn for many yrs trying to decide what to do with myself. When I was much younger I wanted to be a lawyer but after thoroughly thinking it through I decided I couldn't & wouldn't be able to defend a criminal. I also wanted badly to become a farrier (a person who trims & shoes horses hooves) but a back problem kept me from fulfilling that desire. Anyway...I have recently been seriously considering different options for a career. I have taken many career aptitude tests & have asked every person who knows me what they feel are my strengths, talents or skills. I have been given a huge surprise by doing this. All the people and tests tell me I'm destined to be a Psychologist, the strange & shocking part is this is what I've always felt I should be doing but never seriously thought I could do not to mention well. I have spent many hrs over the yrs in person & on the phone with multiple people asking for a listening ear or advice. Everybody told me I obviously enjoy cleaning & am good at it, I'm a good listener & have a great way about me to tell someone in a direct & honest way what I think when asked, I am patient but not afraid to stop people from enabling themselves or others. I am a passionate person & do well in all I do. Here's my problem though, I am 27yrs old, just got my GED this last Feb & have no funds for college. If I were to pursue this career it would take about 8-10yrs to complete entirely which puts me at quite an old age for the profession doesn't it? Here's a general look at my status currently, I work doing housekeeping at two hotels, I have done construction work physically, the accounting, advertising, & other paperwork. I was also a security officer. I worked at a variety store as an opener/closer, accounting & customer service/cashier. I am married & have been for 4yrs, we have no children & may never be able to have our own. We bought our house on ten acres about 6yrs ago & our vehicles are paid for but our credit isn't great because of my hubby's construction business going under a couple yrs ago. Please help if you can, I need your honest opinion as to what I should try to do. Here is a list of my top skills, talents & strengths: I like to clean, organize, work independantly & with other competent people with simular interests, give advice, listen to problems, take care of animals, learn new things & to know everything I possibly can about something, I have a soft spot in my heart for abused children & animals among others, I would like to do fundraising for helpful organizations, I would like to be a foster parent or adoptive parent, I have great spelling & grammar, I excel educationally in Science with 99% & with Reading, Language Arts & Social Studies very close behind within the 90%s range, I enjoy research & analysing things (especially people) I enjoy any outdoor sports, fishing, hunting, hiking, etc, oh & I would love to be able to save the world both emotionally & physically! LOL seriously though I'd appreciate any comment(s) you may have for me, I've honestly never been so scared to take such a huge leap before. With my age & uneasiness about my own success I am scared. I usually put myself on the back burner so I can help everyone else & I've learned how to say "no" sometimes but still so unsure because I feel like I'm being pulled many different directions!!! Thanks for taking the time to read my rambling!I'm so very sorry this got so long! Thanks again for your time. more

Resolved Question: Business Law Question?

I have an assignment in which I need to figure out whom would win a particular case and why. The general idea is that an advertising company owns several billboards in a city. The city passes an ordinance that prohibits outdoor advertising to prevent distracted drivers. The company sues the city. Who wins, and why? I'm not looking for the answer, but I'm pretty lost as to where I should be looking. I'm not sure if I should be looking into civil torts, violation of an Amendment (free speech), or an intellectual property violation. Just a hint of where I should be looking would be great. Thanks! more

Resolved Question: Need some logic about possible boarding decision.?

I am slowly working up to deciding to buy a horse. I am 43--not getting any younger. My older daughter is almost 12, so a good age to have one for her, too. I also have a 4 yo daugher. We ride at a medium sized hunter/jumper barn. We have an open lease, so we ride whatever is available. Sometimes my daughter doesn't have much choice if all the beginner horses have already gone out. So, I wish she had her own. And, I've always wanted a horse. It's time. Anyway, the barn we ride at charges $475/mo for full board. Field board is not an option there (she's full). She has an indoor ring, an outdoor ring, and trails. She will also trailer your horse to shows (for a fee). This is also where my daughter takes lessons. (Me too, when I can find time/money). I'm stuck because I keep thinking I need to afford the $475 monthly to get a horse. My daughter loves her trainer and her friends and is very sure she does not want to change barns. I am trying to look at this logically, looking for options. Today I saw a farm less than a mile away advertising field board. We could hack over to our barn fairly easily (just one medium sized road to cross). But I don't think we'd do it every week, so she wouldn't always have a lesson on her own horse. There is also a barn 1.5 miles away that is small, offering full board for $375. We could hack to our current barn from there, but it would be challenging. We could do it for horse shows only, probably (our barn has training shows almost every week in summer). At first I thought I should just find a way to pay (or wait until I can afford) the fee at our barn. I can imagine a lot of headaches with hacking over, and we probably wouldn't do it much. Now I'm wondering if I should seriously check into the other two barns, with the idea that my daughter would just have to deal with not having our own horse for the lessons. Our current barn is not perfect--but it is very family oriented. The owner was even going to loan me her farm use vehicle one day when our car broke down. Then she called someone's dad, who is a mechanic, and he came and fixed our car! Obviously, we feel at home at this place. Can anyone help me look at all this information logically and come up with a next step? Thanks bunches!!! Oh, and do you find the horse first, or the boarding situation? I am assuming the boarding situation!Yes, Yes, I know about all the other expenses. That is why I'm 43 and don't have a horse yet. I am stuck because emotionally I'd like to have it all and stay at our current barn, but logically to make this work, the board fee will have to be less. I don't have time to work off the board, but maybe my daughter does. That's a good first question. Thanks for all the great cost saving ideas and things to think about! more

Resolved Question: What would make you choose a doctor?

Specifically an orthopedic surgeon? I'm working on a campaign for one of my classes. Basically, its an entire advertisng/pr campaign for a local group of orthopedic surgeons. There are an extremely high number of orthopedic surgeons in Austin, so many have been forced to start advertising their services in order to keep up with competitors. Personally, I would probably choose one based on referals from other doctors, and research of this group's current patients shows that 95% of them have indeed chosen them because of primary care physician referals. Honestly, if you had to find an orthopedic, would you ever pay attention to advertisements or would you find them to rank up there with the cheesy attorney television commercials? If you would take ads for doctors seriously, what types would make you most want to go to those doctors? i.e. internet, magazine, newspaper, outdoor ads(billboards, banners, etc), or any other types of ads.I agree with you. I don't think that I would personally ever choose a doctor on an ad, haha. Which is kind of the problem I'm having with this project. I agree that you should feel comfortable talking to your doctor, but my concern is how you would choose that doctor to being with, before you have had a chance to talk with him.Haha, funny you should mention the sports medicine doctor that OU uses. One of the doctors in the group I'm dealing with is the main orthopedic for the University of Texas football and basketball teams. I'm sure they'd love to be compared to OU doctors, haha. more

Resolved Question: Why are so many government officials lacking in common sense?

The American Civil Liberties Union of Florida and its Pinellas County chapter filed a federal lawsuit Feb. 24 against Clearwater on behalf of a Clearwater business, The Complete Angler. “The ACLU of Florida seeks to prevent the city from further proceeding against (owners Heriberto, “Herb,” and Lorraine Quintero) for exercising their constitutionally protected right to free speech and political protest,” read an ACLU press release regarding the lawsuit. The Quinteros opened the bait shop at 705 N. Fort Harrison Ave. on Feb. 1, 2008, said Herb Quintero, and shortly afterwards commissioned an artist to paint a mural of local game fish on one of the shop’s outdoor walls. The shop began getting notices of code violations in March 2008, claiming that the mural was in fact an additional sign, or advertising, although there are no words or a logo on the image. “We made numerous attempts to talk to the city, but they insisted that the mural, because it’s a depiction of fish, would constitute as additional signage because we are a tackle store,” Quintero said. “Our argument has always been that it was never made or painted to convey any information to the public. There is no logo or text. It just depicts local game fish in the area. It’s artwork and is covered under the First Amendment. It’s freedom of expression.” The Quinteros paid $690 in fines to the city and were ordered to cover up the mural.http://www.tbnweekly.com/pubs/clearwater_citizen/content_articles/030409_cit-01.txt more

Voting Question: Why is this article a TOS violation? ?

Around the world, atheists hit road to knock down God by Prashant Rao Prashant Rao – Mon Jan 19, 1:07 am ET AFP/File – An artists impression of a London bus with the slogan 'There's probably no God. Stop worrying … LONDON (AFP) – An atheist drive to persuade people that God doesn't exist is catching on in a surprising fashion -- on the sides of buses in a growing number of countries around the world. With the concise message "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life," the campaign took to the road in Britain this month, while similar drives are underway or planned in Spain, Italy, Canada and Australia. The British campaign was originally floated by comedy writer Ariane Sherine in a newspaper column in June, and is hoping to reach the majority of the country's population in some fashion or another over the next three weeks. "We could never have imagined it would have gotten this big, and we would have raised quite this amount of cash," campaign co-founder Jon Worth, a political blogger and website designer, told AFP. "It's astounding." Sherine wrote her column after advertisements began appearing on central London buses directing passers-by to a website that told those who did not accept Christianity that they would suffer for eternity in hell. Soon after it was published, Worth contacted her asking if he could set up a pledgebank based on her idea, and shortly thereafter, the Atheist Bus Campaign began taking donations, initially hoping to raise 5,500 pounds (6,200 euros, 8,200 dollars). To date, it has raised upwards of 140,000 pounds, enough to pay for advertisements on 800 buses across Britain -- 200 in central London alone -- along with 1,000 posters in London's Underground trains and two video screens in a popular Tube station, all for a full month ending in early February. Unsurprisingly, the campaign has struck a nerve among God-fearing commuters, prompting around 200 complaints to Britain's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), which regulates commercials here. By way of comparison, the most complaints the ASA has ever received over an advert was 1,600. The watchdog needs just one complaint to investigate an advertisement, which are judged on a variety of factors including harm, offence, taste and deceny as well as factual accuracy, but will wait until next week to decide whether or not to probe the Atheist Bus Campaign's ads. "A few religious people have complained to the ASA, which seems rather odd, as if they (the ASA) will be able to make a judgment about the evidence on that sort of issue," said Peter Cave, chair of the Humanist Philosopher's Group, which advises the British Humanist Association. Along with opposition in Britain, attempts to engineer a similar campaign in Australia have run into obstacles, with the country's biggest outdoor advertising agency APN Outdoor deciding to reject a bid by the Atheist Foundation of Australia for ad space. "Any company really has the right to refuse a service to a customer, but in this instance, you have to wonder," foundation president David Nicholls told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Atheists in Italy and Spain, however, have had more success with their attempts. Buses with a similar slogan to the Atheist Bus Campaign's message, translated into Catalan, began appearing on two routes in Barcelona on Monday, with plans to extend the campaign to the rest of the country. In Italy, meanwhile, buses with the slogan "The bad news is that God does not exist. The good news is that we do not need him" will begin traversing the northern Italian city of Genoa on February 4. Here in Britain, apart from opposition from religious groups, some atheists are unhappy with the inclusion of the word "probably", principally added so that it would adhere to British advertising rules. Cave, though not in agreeance with the word's inclusion, noted that the campaign is trying to make a broader point. "I can see no evidence for God just as I can see no evidence for pineapples floating around the moon," he said. "I don't say there probably aren't any pineapples floating around the moon, I just say I know there aren't any pineapples floating around the moon. But, it's a piece of marketing, and I think it's good because it makes people think." http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090119/lf_afp/lifestylebritainreligiontransportatheism;_ylt=Aks_7U2DZt1hoo9IABQYcSU7Xs8F more

Resolved Question: What camera should I get for photo class?

For 1st photography class. It would be for b&w basicly, but was wanting to do nature & outdoor scene stuff, & also some fashion advertising with girls from class & online. I was deciding on a Canon 40D, lower $ than 50D, but also on an Alpha 200. Which is better for my assignments and/or photo taking?I want to use Nikons, but I never have felt a comfortable Nikon Dslr. Only Canon, Olympus, or Sony make me comfy. I'm confused. more

Resolved Question: What was this 1950's monster flick? My first one. Darn! I can't remember the name.?

It must have been awful and and/or obscure because in all these years I have never seen it on the video shelves. This is one of those movies I would love to see again as an adult. Rodan was another one. All I remember about the movie is that it was after a nuclear war, (I guess) and this monster was stalking a group of people out in the wilderness or a jungle. There were smoking craters all around. From what I can remember, the monster looked like a pile of walking spaghetti or tangle of vines and had three eyes, (I think). Apparently, water was lethal to it and in scene after scene, people were narrowly escaping with their lives as this monster would sneak up on them and be frightened away by water. (Like the carefree lady stepping into an outdoor shower at the last moment before being whatevered by the creature.) The final scene was some kind of showdown where it looked like the monster was going to kill them all, and suddenly it started raining. The monster died on the edge of a smoking crater. I'm interested in seeing this movie for two reasons. First, to see how stupid it would seem to me as an adult and 2, to see how accurate or erroneous my memory of it is. Without reinforcement, our memories of some things can drift very far away from the reality. Other things, we seem able to remember in exacting detail. I saw this in a theater. I've never seen it advertised on television. So can any of you "B"-flick aficionadoes help me identify this movie?Hey Tick Tock, leave me alone! I might have seen it in a drive-in, y'know. I mean, it could've been as late as 1959, so just shut up, man!Julius, none of the story line sounds familiar except for the things that I mentioned above. Kids don't tend to remember the "people things" in monster movies. That synopsis seemed to be a good fit, though. The monster does look different from what I remember, but in those movies the posters didn't always match very well. I'll have to check it out some more. I think you might be right. more

Resolved Question: Outdoor Advertising Prices?

I am trying to see what a ballpark for outdoor advertising should cost and on what basis. I know higher density areas such as LA, Chicago and NY are probably more expensive. But what can a company like this (who doesn't answer their email or phone for days-I don't recommend them) charge for a poster: www.cartelesonesheets.com. I assume it's similar to a phone kiosk or trash barrel advertisement. Are there any ad gurus out there? Thanks more

Resolved Question: If you own your own photography business, please help?

Right now I work for CPI Corp in a photography studio. My last day is December 13th because I wanted to start focusing on starting my own small business for Photography! The only problem is that I have NO idea what I'm doing. I've worked with the general public for 4 years, so I know that I'm good with customers. I took 4 years of photography in High School but I'm going to take some college courses. Should I take a college course in small businesses too? I don't need a studio because I prefer to do outdoor shoots at a park or in someones backyard or shoots at the client's home, because that is where kids feel most comfortable and from what I've seen, that's where you get the best pictures. I already know the basic pricing that I'd like to offer and the different packages. What is a good quality place online to order prints from? I don't think that there is any sort of nice place to order prints around where I live so I'd have to order online. What types of business licenses will I need? What is a good way to advertise my business? I want to be able to use my client's photographs on my website/portfolio/advertisements. What would they need to sign so that I don't get sued? Should I have clients sign anything else before a shoot? How do I get a copyright for my work? Can I get one copyright to cover all of my work or do I have to copyright individual pictures? Are there any specific books or websites that would help me become a better photographer and start my own photography business? All the websites I looked at portray mostly to places like grocery stores and such. I'd like to find a website that is specifically for starting your own photography business. Any other advice for me? I know that most people won't be able to answer ALL of these questions, but any advice at all (no matter how small) would be greatly appreciated! Andy W, I said that I want to START the learning process. Also, I never said that I worked in a studio for 4 years, I said I have worked with the general public for 4 years and that currently I am working at a studio. I don't mean to be rude but, read the question THOROUGHLY before answering.Okay, I'm not an idiot. My husband's job can more than support me staying at home. The only reason I work at the studio is because I like the work. Please give me some credit, I'm really not that stupid. more

Resolved Question: Some jokes for ya'll ?

A battle weary American soldier boarded a crowded train in in London during the early days of post-WWII, only to discover he was unable to find a place to sit. As he walked the length of the train, he noticed a small white dog curled up on one of the seats. A large, well dressed woman sat in the seat next to the dog. The man hovered near the seat, hoping the woman would take the hint, but she pointedly ignored him. "Excuse me, Ma'am," the soldier finally spoke, "Is this your dog? Would you mind holding it on your lap so that I may sit down?" The woman raised her icy gaze to the young man and said in a haughty British accent, "oh! You Americans. You are so rude. Fluffy is in that seat, and i see no reason why she should give up her comfort for you." The exhausted soldier nodded, picked up the small dog ... leaned over ... opened the window of the moving train and tossed the dog out. The woman gaped and spluttered in horrified indignation, and the man sitting across from her lowered his newspaper. "You Americans", he said, "You drive on the wrong side of the road ... you eat with the wrong fork ... and you just threw the wrong bitch out the window." ......................................... A well-stacked young advertising secretary wore tight knit dresses that showed off her figure, especially when she walked. Her young, aggressive boss motioned her into his office one afternoon and closed the door. Pointing to her tightly covered derriere, he asked, "Is that for sale?" "Of course not!" she snapped angrily, blushing furiously. Unchanged, he replied quietly, "Then, I suggest you quit advertising it." ................................ read this one out loud: Learn chinese in 5 minutes Dildo - Fun Toi Ex-wife - Fa Kin Sau Where´s the restroom? - Ai Pe Nau I absolutely agree! - No Daut Jesus Child - Ho Li Boi Dogshit under my shoe - Stin Kin Puh Stop teasing me! - Tat Nut Fun Annoying kid - Hit Tat Boi Cough up some dough! - Pei Nau Go for a ride for free - Hit Hai King I think our friend is homo - He Gai Your price is too high - Ai No Bai Dam Ting That was an unauthorized execution - Lin Ching You are not very bright - Yu So Dum I am not guilty - Wai Hang Mi Please, stay a while longer - Wai Go Nao They have arrived - Hia Dei Kum Hey, I think we have a serious problem here! - Sum Ting Wong Having an early orgasm - Kum Tu Suun Saying the same thing several times - Ri Pi Ting Are You horny? - Yu Har Dik You´re just so stupid - Fak Ju I just get drunk so easy - On Li Tu Oh, You´ve been smoking as well? - Ju Tu Hai I´ve got something in my eye - Aut Mai Ai You explained that before, but finally I understand - Ai See Nau Listen baby, isn´t that a pretty and romantic sky tonight? - Mun So Brait Let´s get outta here and that fast as hell! - Fa Kin Run Oh, just look at that Ferrari! - Big Boi Toi I´m just so horny - Ma Dik Big As I said before, Microsoft sucks! - Fa Kin Kom Pu Da I told You that´s he´s extremely ticklish! - Jum Pin Hai Hey buddy, I know it´s winter, but not THAT cold to pee outdoor - Wai Ju Ding So Tai Nee Ok listen, this got to look like an accident - Hit Mai Ai He’s cleaning his automobile - He Wa Shing Ka This is a tow away zone - No Pah King Small Horse - Tai Ni Po Ni Did you go to the beach? - Wai Yu So Tan It’s very dark in here - Wai So Dim Has your flight been delayed? - Hao Long Wei Ting I thought you were on a diet? - Wai Yu Mun Ching Your body odor is so offensive - Yu Stin Ki Pu I didn´t know that You knew the lyrics to The Macarena - Wai Yu Sing Dum Song I got this for free - Ai No Pei Phew, this bathroom stink! - Hu Flung Dung Are you harboring a fugitive? - Hu Yu Hai Ding See me as soon as possible - Kum Hia Nao Stupid Man - Dum Fuk I bumped into a coffee table - Ai Bang Mai Fa Kin Ni I think you need a face lift - Chin Tu Fat Our meeting is scheduled for next week! - Wai Yu Kum Nao Staying out of sight - Lei Ying Lo Great - Fa Kin Su Pahstar if funny? more

Resolved Question: This is my essay which I've just completed. Please correct my faults if you can. Thank so much !?

This is my essay which I've just completed. Please correct my faults if you can and give me your opinion. Thank so much ! TOPIC: HOW MANY TYPES OF ADVERTISING ARE THERE? PRESENT THE FEATURES AND EXAMPLES OF EACH TYPE. ANALYZE THE APPROPRIATENESS OF THEM. Nowadays, almost companies can’t lack advertising to introduce their products or services to market. There are many types of advertising. Each type has different role and appropriateness. So, this essay will focus on three types in three paragraphs. Introducing about print advertising in the first paragraph; and then, introducing mass media advertising in the second paragraph; and finally, introducing outdoor advertising in the third paragraph. Today, advertising products via print media is a common practice. The print media include all newspapers, newsletters, magazines, booklets, pamphlets, and other printed publications. The role of print advertising is to offers basic information about the company, their products or services to the selected audiences. Most print media are local. Magazines, on the other hand, have always been national, although there is a trend today toward localization and specialization. There are a huge amount newspapers and magazines are published everyday. But only some types tend to a particular group people. For examples, sporty newspapers are written for men, teenage magazines for teenagers, etc. Therefore, select the right type of newspapers or magazines is important decision of the company, which may reach larger selected audiences. According to a statistic, in Vietnam, at present, there are about 600 newspapers and magazines. Almost companies, which are operating in Vietnam, are advertising via print media; for examples, Vinamilk, FPT, Honda, etc. Mass media advertising is popular most and impact in people’s awareness of the companies and their products. This type includes TV, radio and internet. Mass media advertising is more than simply persuasive messages. Through text and through images, the ad conveys values and beliefs, and these have meanings for those who read, listen or watch them. In this type, cost is the main obstacle for companies which want to advertise on TV. Moreover, just as print ad, mass media ad also has many channels tend to many different objects. Consequently, if the company advertises with reasonable duration and right channel, the company will not waste more money and their advertising still effective. Due to the great role of mass media in the life, nowadays, there are many companies use mass media for their main publicity. For instance, Unilever present their products as OMO and Comfort, P&G with Tide and Downy, etc. Outdoor advertising, one of the oldest and most enduring forms of advertising, is advertising on signs that are located outdoors in public places. This form includes billboards, trade fairs, sporting evens, etc. Outdoor advertising captures the viewer's attention 24 hours a day. True, it has limited coverage. But a well-planned outdoor campaign can effectively cover most major markets. The main features of this type are brevity of the message and cannot target customer. So, the message usually is slogan of the company, such as Canon Corporation with the slogan is “Delighting you always” or Toyota with sentence “Moving forward”, etc. In short, using which types and using on which time is important decision of the company. In my opinion, with carefully choosing, the company can get what they need from all the variable advertisements  more

Resolved Question: Does anyone else hate MTV?

A multi-billion dollar corporation which controls a huge portion of network television on the air today, including, but not limited to: MTV, BET, VH1, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central. Viacom's influence on the ideals of Americans ranging in age from 6 to mid-20s is enormous. Viacom is methodically eliminating independent media organizations in an effort to monopolize American media. Viacom is a "special interest group" to US presidents, meaning Viacom essentially bribes government officials to turn the other way as it takes hold on more and more media. Man, I wonder what would be on if Viacom weren't around. Oh well. Guess I'll go watch TRL. What MTV sold out to. Now, by doing so, all the music it shows are pure shit. Viacom is a dirty company that should be put to death. A company responsible for one of the scariest TV logos in history, the Purple V of Doom! Omigod! RUN!! It's the V of Doom!!!! The shit company that copyrights all my favorite tv shows, like Doug, and Eureka's Castle, so nobody can watch them on YouTube when they get cancelled, and have to pirate them illegally. Viacom is stupid and eats shit. an evil corporation that owns paramount comedy central and other stuff viacom owns too many media things A corporation that controls MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, CMT, VH1 and many other media sources and is the root of all evil. A church in Iowa claims that all mentionings of Satan in their Bibles and Gospils were changed to read "Viacom" instead of Satan and no, it was not with white out and it looked as is Viacom was actually what was printing in the text. Viacom, after gaining a substantial share of the pop media from other companies, is said to be brainwashing Generation Y (aka Generation MTV) into doing whatever they want them to do. TRL is a prime example of Viacom's workings. Several boycotts have been placed against the corporation and they're the slightest bit of light we have, without these boycotts we would have teenyboppers flooding UD with definitions of emo, Gerard Way and MySpace. Oh wait, we already have that. Nevermind that part. Anyways, just boycott the shit out of them and we'll be good for now. Jimmy Fallon has Yankees toilet paper in "Fever Pitch". I have Viacom toilet paper in real life. Viacom is global media company, It has... broadcast and cable channels. Also has holds in radio, outdoor advertising, and online. Viacom's well-known brands include CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, VH1, BET, Paramount Pictures, Infinity Broadcasting, Viacom Outdoor, UPN, TV Land, Comedy Central, CMT: Country Music Television, King World, Spike TV, Showtime, and Simon & Schuster. Some say they are responsible for the recent decline in music. This may or may not be true. <YOUR OPINION HERE>. I'm waiting on the bus to go to school and there's a viacom ad at the bus stop. Then another one on the bus. I say whatever and get on the bus and someone has on the raido. There's an ad for MTV's 'Ther Real World' on. At school, kids are pouring out god awfrl music and pretend to be rock stars/rapers. They all look like Britany Spears, Avril, Jay Z, or whatever Viacom channels tell them is cool. I go home and flip thru CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, BET, UPN, TV Land, Comedy Central, Spike TV, Showtime. I settle on Fuse cuz Viacom don't own them. Pretty much the complete and ultimate ruler of the cable world and entertainment business. They own: -BET -Comedy Central -CMT -ifilm -MTV -neopets -Nickelodeon -nick@night -Noggin - The N -Spike tv -TV land -Paramount pictures -DreamWorks AND A BAJILLION MORE THINGS!!! (around 120 more) the people who run viacom are bastards that ruined Mtv too. Damn, what does viacom not own!!!? I'll go watch some food network! woo A gigantic corporation that eats smaller corporations. They also turn everything that was once fun into a boring mass produced game/show. Die Viacom. Example: Nickolodian had awesome shows on it, Now the only thing they ever play is FUCKING SPONGEBOB. Ex2:Neopets was an awesome site that had plenty to do and plenty to say on the forums. Now its the dumbest site ever because they sold out to Viacom. more
