Open Question: Temporarily customize a vinyl banner?

I have access to a generic Relay for Life vinyl banner, but I'd like to customize it so it has our specific event date and location. However, I can't make any permanent changes to the banner, since I'll need to return it as is. Does anyone have an idea on what kind of lettering/tape/material could work? The banner will be hung outdoors. If anyone knows a cheap way to make a vinyl banner with grommets, I'd be open to that, too. Thanks! more

Alright I am thinking about a tattoo I want on my side, The tattoo would be a cross that would have a banner nicely around it with family written on it. The tattoo Would be between 6-8'' down and about 3-4'' across I also want to have the Portuguese flag colored into it with the center of the cross being the fortress symbol from the flag and only the cross would be the flag colors. Voting Question: What the hell is wrong with Marvel Studios?

is reporting that Marvel has officially stated that they will not be bringing back Norton for the role and instead will be casting someone else most likely mark rufflao. The article says that Norton recently met with Whedon to discuss The Avengers and while both left the meeting with enthusiasm about the project, Marvel has apparently decided to go in another direction. To put it succinctly, "it sounds like a deal could be made here, and simply wasn't." First they reboot probably the best franchise they have the spiderman series and now there rebooting it and taking it back to petter parkers high school years. which isfuckin retarted cause the first two movies are great and i know that the third was disapointing but nowhere near was bad as the fantastic four or ghost rider or even the last two installments of xmen Than they almost lose Jon Favreau for trying to rush Iron Man 2 into development without even contacting Favreau on what their doing. On top of that, they also almost lost Jon Favreau for being too cheap again. Now they drop Edward Norton because they don’t want to pay him even though Marvel is basically swimming in money. I know Norton had some problems with Marvel during The Incredible Hulk, but thats because the man actually cares about the story. He was trying to make the movie more emotional and have more character instead of just big special effects which is what Marvel wanted. The point of casting these actors such as Norton, Downey Jr., Hemsworth, Evans, etc. is so they finally meet in The Avengers and fight together. To replace an important character at the last second over money especially when your making millions of dollars off these superheros is just plain idiotic. Sure some are going to be delusional and say Hulk is going to take up more screen time than Banner so theirs no need for Norton. I still find that stupid because during the parts where hes not the Hulk, its going to look completely stupid when someone else is playing this part when we just had Norton doing the part in 2008. Captain America and Thor being made into 3D during post production is another bad idea for Marvel. Almost every studio exec says their going to make it look good and not like Clash of the Titans, but look at what happened to The Last Airbender….exactly. I’m not hating on Marvel, but their really making some big mistakes with their films. At least the DC side isn’t being so stingy about money and actually hiring good actors and directors for their films. more

Resolved Question: How can I protect a large banner?

I have a 3x9 banner that I am making, the material of the banner is comparable to high quality poster board. After I paint what I want on it (or paint or draw or etc.) I want it to last for years. It won't be going through any vigorous use or anything; and, in fact, it will probably never see the light of day after the first use. However, I still want it to be usable if needed in the future. So, what I was thinking was to have it laminated...or something similar. I'm not going to spend a great amount of money on this, but if I could get it done for ten bucks I would do it. There going to be 16 guests about. Favor bags include- Plastic baby bottles filled with candy, homemade cookies shaped like bottles, rattles, babies, etc. and samples of shampoos and conditioners, and lotion from my shop. Games- 1. Dress the baby blind folded- Where you are blind folded and between two people whoever dresses the baby the fastest and correctly, wins a prize. 2. Don't say "baby"- Pass out necklaces at the beginning of the shower and if someone hears someone else say "baby" they get their necklace. Whoever has the most necklaces at the end of the shower gets a prize. 3. Bottle races- Fill up bottles with juice and whoever finishes first wins a prize. 4. "My water broke"- Get little plastic babies and put them in the middle of an ice cube, pass them out at the beginning of the baby shower, and whoevers melts first without taking it out of the bag, or putting it under hot water has to yell "my water broke" and they get a prize. Prizes- Im getting two gift sets from my shop, and then stuff like picture frames, and other cool things at a cheap price. I use a 24" pigment inkjet printer for printing banners for my own auto repair shops. I usually print on matte polypropylene. We have several banners 24" x 60" that are alternated daily. Resolved Question: Baby Shower Decorations Ideas?

I am trying to think of more ideas for my BFF's baby shower on Saturday. It is my godson so I am going a little over the top. So far I have planned: alternating blue and white table covers with baby bottles filled with blue and white candies that hold balloons with these little rattles I got propped against it (babies that are about 3 inches tall) and table confetti that says it's a boy. I also got a banner that says Jenn & Glenn are Having a Boy, Congratulations on you Bundle of Joy. For their table I got a larger rattle (same concept) as well as a baby balloon (to add in with the other balloons) and diaper cake. Above the chairs they will sit while opening gifts I have an umbrella I use cotton balls on the inside to make it look like clouds hanging down over her head? I am also planning on putting a clothes line across a whole wall to add clothes to when she is opening gifts, that way people can see them clearly. Anybody got anymore cute, cheaper ideas? Do you think this is enough. I will have spent on decor, invites, and gifts about $400, is that enough for your god baby? I know I will spoil him rotten once he is actually here but I want her to have a really special day. No games though please, we are not game at the shower people.
