Open Question: I really need a job!?

I'm 16 and live in High Wycombe and I'm after a job as I've finished secondary school and I'm free from now, all over the holidays until I start college in September. I don't want to be working everyday so a part time job is what I'm after. I want a career in teaching so working in a school environment would be good and would give me some experience. I love performing arts so anything to do with that would be amazing. The thing is if i go into the shop personally, they will just say no they do not have any vacancies. Most shops/supermarkets have stores worldwide so trying to apply for a job via a website (which i would find the easiest thing to do as Im not very confident) is almost impossible. There doesn't appear to be any website out there that advertise jobs for students! What would you suggest I should do? more

I have a medium size wholesale business with over 5000 customers worldwide. I create weekly emails advertising my current sales and promotions and send them to about 800 customers at a time. Also, my list of emails consists only of people who have conducted business with me in the past. Voting Question: how can i reword this?

my daughter is driving while texting i have found these notes on the internet but i to make it so she understand im gonna have to reword this on i need help Texting on a cell phone is even more dangerous than talking. A study by Virginia Tech found that texting while driving on the highway increases the risk of having an accident twenty-three times. On average, a text message distracts a driver for about five seconds, which on a highway means about one-hundred yards. Off the highway, the University of Utah found that texting increases the risk eight times. 56% of teenagers admit to talking on their cell phones behind the wheel, while 13% admit to texting while driving. (Note: Because this information was given voluntarily by teens, actual cell phone use numbers may be much higher.) 48% of young Americans from 12-17 say they've been in a car while the driver was texting. 52% of 16- and 17-year-old teen drivers confess to making and answering cell phone calls on the road. 34% admit to text messaging while driving. In 2007, driver distractions, such as using a cell phone or text messaging, contributed to nearly 1,000 crashes involving 16- and 17-year-old drivers. Over 60% of American teens admit to risky driving, and nearly half of those that admit to risky driving also admit to text messaging behind the wheel. Each year, 21% of fatal car crashes involving teenagers between the ages of 16 and 19 were the result of cell phone usage. This result has been expected to grow as much as 4% every year. Almost 50% of all drivers between the ages of 18 and 24 are texting while driving. Over one-third of all young drivers, ages 24 and under, are texting on the road. Teens say that texting is their number one driver distraction. 'Texting' while driving is the act of composing, sending, or reading text messages, email, or making other similar use of the internet on a mobile device while operating a motor vehicle, such as an automobile, truck, or train. The practice has been viewed by many people and authorities as dangerous. It has also been ruled as the cause of some motor vehicle accidents, and in some places has been outlawed or restricted people have to stop. Texting while driving leads to increased distraction behind the wheel. In 2006, Liberty Mutual Insurance Group conducted a survey with more than 900 teens from over 26 high schools nationwide. The results showed that 37% of students found texting to be "very" or "extremely" distracting. A study by the AAA discovered that 46% of teens admitted to being distracted behind the wheel due to texting. One example of distraction behind the wheel is the 2008 Chatsworth train collision which killed 25 passengers. The subsequent investigation revealed that the engineer had sent 45 text messages while operating the train. A 2009 experiment with Car and Driver magazine editor Eddie Alterman that took place at a deserted air strip showed that texting while driving had a greater impact on safety than driving drunk. While legally drunk, Alterman's stopping distance from 70 mph increased by 4 feet; by contrast, reading an e-mail added 36 feet, and sending a text added 70 feet.[1] In the UK in 2009 Gwent Police worked with film maker Peter Watkins-Hughes and production company Zipline Creative to create the graphic short film "Cow", as part of a campaign to stop texting while driving.[2] The film earned honors in the Advertising Age's weekly Creativity Top 5 videos [3] and became an overnight worldwide internet hit after being shown on the American news program The Today Show.[4] On August 29, 2007, Danny Oates was killed by a young driver of a car, allegedly texting while driving. The defense had argued that driver Jeffrey Woods had possibly suffered a seizure during the time of the accident. [10] On January 3, 2008, Heather Leigh Hurd was killed by a truck driver who allegedly was texting while driving. Her father Russell Hurd has been actively supporting a law in various U.S. states called Heather's Law that would prohibit texting while driving. [11] The 2008 Chatsworth train collision, which killed 25 people, and which occurred on September 12, 2008, was blamed on the operator sending text messages while operating the train.[12] In 2009, a crash on the MBTA Green Line of the Boston area was blamed on a driver who was texting. This occurred nearly a year after the Newton, Massachusetts rail accident, which occurred on May 28, 2008, and was blamed on the operator using a cell phone while operating the train. A day after talk show queen Oprah Winfrey focused on the dangers of texting while driving, two members of the Georgia House of Representatives introduced bills that would ban the practice. “Don’t tempt fate,” said Rep. Amos Amerson (R-Dahlonega), quoting Winfrey. “That text or call can wait.” Amerson and Rep. Allen Peake (R-Bibb County) introduced similar bills that will likely me more

Resolved Question: Adding website banners to 1000+ pages at once.?

With my website www.non-stop-shop.com, it's a website shopping directory, where I advertise companies worldwide by placing there website banners under the areas that they are based at as well as the categories they request also. Though the main problem I have at the moment is with companies who want to get placed under 1000+ different pages of my 9,000 paged website, as their company is based in 1000 different locations, take The National Lottery for example, I am placing them under 8,500 pages on my website, but I only know the way on adding their website banner to one page at a time. That's why I'm looking for information as to whether its possible to add their HMTL banner to thousands of pages at once. For example Sainsburys, create a HTML page for their superstore and add all of the locations they are based at under their HTML private page, then once that is done select all of the locations I have placed under the HTML page then add their website banner to all those pages at once. If there is a way of doing this, I would be very grateful for all the help I can get, as there is currently M&S, B&Q, Asda, Sainsburys, The National Lottery, Boots, Lloyds Pharmacy and lots more big well known businesses that are wanting to get advertised under all of the areas they are located. Where with Non-Stop-Shop having near enough every village, town, city and county around England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, The Republic of Ireland, The Isle of Wight, The Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey and even all the other countries that are based around the rest of the world where people can place the website banners under. That way all the members of the public have to do when they visit Non-Stop-Shop is click on the banner of their choice and automatically transfer to that website of their choice to do a Non-Stop-Shop. I look forward to hearing from you. more

Resolved Question: The Mayweather vs Pacquiao random drug test scam?

Could GBP and Top Rank be using this fiasco to furthur add suspense and drama behind the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight. Let's be real, March is way too soon to hold the biggest fight in history. This fight will take a great deal of promotion worldwide plus a global fight tour advertise the biggest fight in history. A fight in March will not allow the necessary time to have a great promotional campaign. This entire random drug test scam is planned out to get the fans more anxious and rowdy. The fight will end up taking place in September or October and the it will be highly campaigned. These 2 promoters are doing an excellent job of keeping everyone's mind and focus on Pacquiao vs Mayweather. What's your take on all of this? more

Resolved Question: There is probably no god, now stop worrying and enjoy your life.?

http://www.nogod.org.nz/ - New Zealand Faction http://www.atheistcampaign.org/ - Worldwide Ive been reading up on these Atheist yahoo's who have been raising sponsoring to promote the Atheist message around the world. Here is the description as shown on the website. In short, it’s putting advertising messages on buses that promote in a positive and friendly way a Rationalist/Humanist view of the world. Also, to act as an alternative voice to religious advertising in New Zealand and around the world. But you all know the deal, religious zealots and uppity atheist's show us your colours and takes on all this, apparently its received a lot of contreversy.Actually Cross, you should check the last question I happened to ask. It directly contradicts your answer that Church's may put up whatever they wish without fear of persecution.Captain Spud, please think through your answers or at least read through the websites I posted before replying with arrogance such as this. The word "probably" has been very carefully phrased as most atheists realize that there is no way to prove there is a god just as conversely there is no way to prove that there is. Read : http://www.nogod.org.nz/faq/ "Why only "probably" no god.Kynarii, you are exactly the kind of religious zealot that everyone hates (including your fellow Christians) or you could be a troll having a laugh. Either way, no-one cares for your arrogance and scare-tatics.Neji, "Sometimes following the examples of the life of Christ may be challenging, because as you may be aware, he stood only for good and righteous things and some of your friends might hate you because you are trying to be different". Did you just refer to me as a bad person? I take offense! Just because I may not follow Christ in scripture doesn't mean that I don't follow his and others example in living a "right" life and helping others. Just this Christmas I donated 150 to the Cancer Foundation. Do I not stand for "good" things by our standards? By the way, what the hell are you talking about? "I hope this helps your understanding!" I asked you about bus adverts, not about Christs teachings. So, no. This does not help my understanding, whatever that means, please be more relevant in the future!Im gonna let this go to a vote and let you decide which answer is the best. more

Resolved Question: Too Much at Stake for the Corporate?

Cricket as a game, particularly in the Indian sub-continent has glamour, money, popularity and even public emotions involved in it. The national teams have the eyes and ears of millions of cricket enthusiasts upon them. Cashing in on this is a vast economy spawned by cricket, which has grown phenomenally over the years. Knowledge@Wharton on cricket in India cites statistics on the stupendous growth of the cricket world. International Cricket Council (ICC), the sport's apex governing body, had a deficit of $ 150,000 in 1992. By 1997, it was no longer in the red and had made $ 25,000. It has been on the rise ever since. With 2007 World Cup, ICC was expected to make a profit of $ 239 million (Actual figures not yet available). Its main source of income is the world cup tournaments. The attempts such as ICC Champions Trophy and ICC Super Series have not been much of a success. India's own BCCI, considered to be the richest cricket association worldwide, has increased its profits from $ 1.11 to $ 7.64 million during 2004-05 and 2005-06. The various cricket governing bodies have their income coming from ticket sales, television broad-casting and sponsorships. Given the huge following of televised cricket in India (200 million in the 2003 World Cup); companies have been willing to spend huge amounts on advertising. Thus, not surprisingly, 85% of the sponsorship for the 2003 World Cup came from Indian companies! India's dominance in the commercial space is evident in the spectator strength, the advertisements, the official global partners for specific events and the sponsorships. Forbes Magazine's valuation of the cricket boards in 2006 pegs BCCI's worth at $ 1.5 billion, while ICC was at a comparatively lesser figure of $ 200 million. While there are 10 test-playing members of ICC, India contributes more than 70% of revenue to the entire sport. The magazine reports: "Most sponsorships and broadcast rights come from India, and Indian tours make foreign boards rich." more

Resolved Question: Here is some Internet Information?

ThreatsHow does the Internet create security risks for my computer? The Internet works by allowing one computer to send information to another computer across a network of worldwide computers. Rather than going directly to the intended computer, data often passes through several intermediate computers. Each intermediate computer has the potential to see the contents of data being transmitted — creating a security risk. Other security risks can be created from files and programs downloaded to your computer or sent via e-mail. Some programs, called 'viruses' are written to intentionally damage your computer and the data stored on it. Make sure security updates for your operating system (Microsoft Windows or MAC OS X for example) are consistently installed on your computer. In addition, ensure your firewall, antivirus, and anti-spyware software are up-to-date with the latest definitions. Does your computer lack antivirus protection? The Charter Security SuiteTM provides complete protection for your compter. In addition to its award winning virus protection, The Charter Security Suite includes a firewall, anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-spyware, and parental controls. Best of all, The Charter Security Suite is included at no additional cost for all 5 Mbps and faster Charter High-Speed® Internet connections. Click here to learn more and to download The Charter Security Suite. What is 'malware'? 'Malware' is a generic term used to describe viruses, spyware, adware, Trojan horse, rootkits, worms or any other program with malicious intent. What is a 'virus'? A virus is a program or piece of code that is installed and runs on your computer without your knowledge. Viruses can also replicate themselves and are often designed so that they automatically spread to other computer users. Viruses can be transmitted as attachments to an e-mail, as downloads, or via diskettes or CDs. Some viruses are harmless, but most can be quite damaging by erasing data or causing your hard disk to reformat. What is a 'worm'? Worms are a self-replicating virus that does not alter files but resides in active memory and duplicates itself. Worms most often use parts of an operating system that are automatic and usually invisible to the user. It’s common for worms to be noticed only when their uncontrolled replication consumes system resources, slowing or halting other applications and traffic. « Back to Top What is a 'Trojan horse'? A Trojan horse is a malicious code that is contained inside seemingly harmless programs or data. The purpose of a Trojan horse is to gain control of the computer and execute whatever it had been program to do. Many Trojan horses are designed to damage data on your hard drives, send back personal information, or corrupt your hard drive. In one celebrated case, a Trojan horse was programmed to find and destroy computer viruses. A Trojan horse may be widely redistributed as part of a computer virus. What is 'adware'? Adware is any software application in which advertising banners are displayed while the program is running. The authors of these applications include additional code that delivers the ads, which can be viewed through pop-up windows or through a bar that appears on a computer screen. What is 'spyware'? Spyware is software installed on your computer without your knowledge that gathers information such as surfing habits, for later retrieval by advertisers and/or other interested parties. It can record and send through the Internet your keystrokes, history, passwords, and other confidential and private information. It is often sold as a spouse monitor, child monitor, surveillance tool, or a tool for spying on users to gain unauthorized access. It can enter a computer as a virus or through installation of a new program. What is a 'rootkit'? A rootkit is a set of processes or files that installs itself on your system without your knowledge or permission. Rootkits attempt to hide from antivirus, anti-spyware, and system management utilities. Originally, rootkits were used on UNIX® based systems for benign purposes. Today however, rootkits may be used to create a backdoor into your system for malicious purposes - such as intercepting information sent from your system, logging your keystrokes, using your system for denial of service attacks, and other deviant activities. Rootkits exist on multiple operating systems including UNIX®, Linux, Solaris®, and Microsoft Windows®. « Back to Top What is a 'zombie' computer? A 'zombie' computer is a system that has often been compromised by a virus. The virus typically installs remote access software on the compromised machine and the 'host' machine takes control of the compromised computer. Resolved Question: I'm confused on what the thesis in this paragraph?

: Europe is pushing farther and farther each day to team up with the U.S. and be a huge competitor. The European Union has its own currency (the euro), general business regulations, they strive to accomplish a better enterprise, and they want to win in intercontinental business battles. Europe takes contest very seriously and American business leaders will soon have to take action in kind, bringing their own new skills and advertising talents to the worldwide market. Possibly, Americans won’t fight back and will ignore the circumstances. That would be a benefit to Europe. Europe has gone through changes and obstacles and if they want to be The United States of Europe, then they will do everything in their power to make that happen. more

Resolved Question: Presidential Approval Rating Poll: Rasmussen vs. Gallup, is this an example of bias media?

Is Gallup in the tank for Obama and is this an example of bias media? http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx "About Us" on Rasmussen: "As a media company, we make our money by selling advertising, title sponsorships, subscriptions, and content. One thing we don’t sell is polls. Because we value our independence and credibility, Rasmussen Reports cannot be hired to conduct a poll for anyone. For our reports, we decide the questions to ask based upon the needs and interests of our audience. If it’s in the news, it’s in our polls. One thing we’re very proud of during the political season is our bi-partisan audience" "About Gallup Poll": "Gallup Poll consultants assist leaders to identify and monitor behavioral economic indicators worldwide." Rasmussen seems to be a fair, non-partisan polling medium who cannot be hired for specific polling while Gallup uses consultants, upon hire, for their polling.Teekno, If you want me to break it down for you since you cannot read: Rasmussen: 53% Approve 46% Disapprove Gallup: 57% Approve 35% Disapprove Rasmussen vs Gallup Approve: Gallup +4 Rasmussen vs Gallup Disapprove: Gallup -11 Gallup is obviously providing a bias poll, I did read the polls, try reading them yourself, nice try though. Also, Vinny, I will have to disagree with you. Gallup is obviously in the tank for Obama, if not, then why such a higher approval rating and lower disapproval rating for Obama in comparison to Rasmussen? more

Resolved Question: My dilemma: A question of my fate?

In two months I start my first semester in the university outside my home country that is located in South-Eastern Asia (although it's American). My major is advertising, but I will use it just as a tool for my future profession. To be honest, I was going to apply to university in the US and I actually got accepted there, but had to refuse because of the cost. After the completion of my bachelor's degree I am going to apply for Master's. The problem is that my goal is to break into film industry, whereas my family wants me to become a businessman. According to my plan, I get into film school in the US (like Chapman or UCLA) majoring in producing and try to find a job of an office assistant in some well-known company. Consequently, my path will be like career ladder, which is safe, but still, career in film making keeps being a risky choice (it's very easy to lose your face and money there). According to my family's plan, I either start working in some company (like my uncle's one) or get into business graduate school in any other country except the US (costs a lot, seems risky), while working as an assistant and investing in stock markets. I am very interested in both film making and business (especially investing), but becoming a film producer has always been my childhood dream, while getting into business world offers me a safer scenario. I have no idea what to choose, but I have to, as I must know what I am leading for in order to have an already established ultimate goal. So: A) film producing (pros - my childhood dream, know almost everything about it, have passion for it; cons - risk, expensive education, ability to work only in Hollywood (the center of the film industry), no connections) B) business (pros - a rational option, starting to learn the stuff, have connections, cheaper education, ability to work worldwide; cons - a vague goal, no defenite industry, will need to spen a lot of time learning, may become bored) I'll be very thankful, if you help me with making decision. Resolved Question: "Swine Flu" H1N1.... pandemic or hype?

I just don't think the numbers are there to support a "pandemic" or anything close to it.... with only 99 deaths so far, and just over 15,500 cases reported worldwide, this seems to be tempest in a teapot. Last season, there were more deaths and reported cases of other influenzas in the US alone than with this so called "swine" flu. Your thoughts? Meanwhile, metabolic syndrome, obesity, diabetes are far beyond pandemic proportions, but no mainstream media headlines. Why is that? Anyone ever feel like the press has nothing better to do than to conjure up hype... just to scare you? And increase their market share so they can sell more advertising? Like global warming, for example. Even though we've been enjoying a cooling trend for the past several years, there's no major press covering this fact. Could it be that the mainstream media's darling global warming brainchild is fizzling out? Watch this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5949034802461518010 The press has been manufacturing 'news' for as long as I can remember. Since I started investigating, it has become apparent that these people are mere mortals and are subject to oversimplification, overhyping, aggrandizing, whatever you want to call it. Do you believe everything you hear on TV news or read in the paper? Resolved Question: What is the necessity for never-ending advertisements?

Do we really have to have commercials blaring at us constantly from day to day to day? They have almost completely taken over every facet of our senses. We see billboard after billboard, commercial after commercial. The incessant repetitiveness of these campaigns are useless. Sure...it's cool to announce a new product, or even an improved version. But why are companies worldwide spending millions of dollars on the bombardment. It already costs a lot of money to make the commercials and to get the broadcasters to air the promotions. I always enjoy seeing the Super Bowl commercials and i really think that is where the line needs to be drawn. On average a half-hour television program is only 20 minutes long. the remainder of the time is spread out from beginning to end for commercials(personally, i'd rather be watching the show that is on, than to watch some stupid commercial on erectile dysfunction and the little blue pill that can make it all better or the stupid accident lawyer commercials that really make me wanna get into an accident just so i'll have the chance to be killed or what about the condescending college commercials? there's another reason to commit suicide). That's ten frikkin minutes that could be added to the program itself! Commercials on our radio waves are just as bad. I find it really amusing how radio stations will get their Top DJs to promo their segment's sponsors. That itself is just a shortcut in advertising to curb but a meager fraction of the cost. Not to mention when i listen to the radio i want to hear a nice run of music. Not stupid commercials with a music break in between. i have this weird feeling that should advertising be brought down a couple of notches, the major companies would probably to be able to lower some of their prices on the merchandise they over-pay to advertise as it were. Advertising has us chasing things we don't need with money we don't have(which is where them payday and car title loans advertisements come in). Advertising is designed to convince Consumer America that they cannot live their life sustainably, or will never be considered successful, or will never be able to satisfy their wife without that particular product. The problem is that Consumer America believes them! How is it that we as a nation can be so gullible and naive? It's a never-ending, vicious cycle of deception.Perhaps i didn't explain myself correctly. I was basically asking what is the need for all this repetition in advertising. You see all these companies boast of their long-standing tenure in business. So, if we know they are here, why do they need to constantly announce their existance? I couldn't really care less whether or not this is a competition...and i really couldn't care less whether or not our advertising protocols are "tame", as some people tend to view this monstrosity. The fact of the matter, and coincidently my point, is repetitive advertising is useless and moot. Consumer America doesn't suffer from Alzheimer's (although i do believe Consumer America suffers from Down Syndrome) with our short-term memory out of synch. We can remember things...we don't need this bombardment. "Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy [stuff] we don't need." -- Tyler Durden more

Resolved Question: I have a question. Is it possible...?

If there is a prayer in Mecca and we from another part of the earth join as makmum? You know nowadays have this live broadcast via satellite on tv. Tune in to Mecca channel live and we somewhere say in Japan join that same prayer at home. Get what i mean? Of coz we can't follow prayers that require timezone eg Zuhur, Asar, etc. Lets say Mecca advertise there be a worldwide prayer simultaneously and 1 imam in Mecca be leading that prayer. It be great if we can do that. 1 world 1 prayer. Is that possible?Bro Abu Haroon I'm not saying prayers that require timezone. Please undestand my question. I'm not innovating here. Mass prayer have already been done. But this is ultimate- 1 world 1 prayer. Oh i forget we even have internet live stream too. Salam. more

Resolved Question: Which of these two young adult female beauty contests does Jesus approve the most?

1, In Islamic Saudi Arabia, for the second year running, there is for young females ages 15-25 an "Inner Beauty Contest" of "Faith, Morals and Values". After about six weeks of training and study, the contestants take written and oral exams, conducted by women only, to select the winner and runners-up with the greatest Inner Spiritual Beauty. They never show any more skin than their eyes and their hands; everything else is covered in their black religious dress, a burka I think it is called. No men are allowed to watch this beauty contest. 2. In the secular USA, we have our two or three yearly worldwide televised beauty contests of young adult females in very revealing swim suits and provocative evening gowns. Most of the women have their breasts enlarged and other cosmetic surgeries done to enhance their physical sex appeal. These beauty contests are advertised to be the hottest, sexiest, most revealing contests ever ! Strut your stuff ! Do your own thing ! Be a sex goddess ! or diva ! etc. Now, this year, Miss CA said that "marriage should be a man and a woman only" and she is being attacked because it upsets the "gay community" ? Think and pray about this and then share here which beauty contest that Jesus Christ would approve of the most. Thank you for all sincere answers ! Peace and progress in Spirit and in Truth ! more

Resolved Question: I am doing my expository speech on iPods I need some help please?

here is what I have right now .... CAN SOMEONE please help me and give me some interesting facts and something i could include thanks : HERE IS WHAT I HAVE •iPods Notes •iPod is the brand of portable media players designed and marketed by Apple Inc. and launched on October 23, 2001. •Apple has lauched four verisons, shuffle, nano, classic, and touch •Apple's iTunes software can be used to transfer music to the iPod •As of September 2008, more than 173,000,000 iPods had been sold worldwide, making it the best-selling digital audio player in history •History •The iPods line came from Apple's "digital hub" category, when the company began creating software for the growing market of personal digital devices. Digital cameras, video cameras and organizers had been selling on mainstream markets, but the company found existing digital music players big and clunky or small and useless •The name iPod was brought to the table by Vinnie Chieco, a freelance copywriter, who was called by Apple to figure out how to get the word out about iPods. After Chieco saw a prototype, he thought of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey and the phrase "Open the pod bay door, Hal!", which refers to the white EVA Pods of the Discovery One spaceshipApple researched the trademark and found that it was already in use. Joseph N. Grasso of New Jersey had originally listed an "iPod" trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in July 2000 for Internet information The first iPod kiosks had been demonstrated to the public in New Jersey in March 1998, and commercial use began in January 2000, but had apparently been discontinued by 2001. The trademark was registered by the USPTO in November 2003, and Grasso assigned it to Apple Computer, Inc. in 2005. •iTunes •Most everyone who uses or has an ipod uses iTunes for all their music needs. You can download itunes for free off the internet. Once you have it on your desktop you open it and go into iTunes Store and you can buy all your songs there. The advertised battery life on most models is different from the real-world. Most iPods were advertised with a 14-hour battery. A MP3.com put out and article saying that it was vitually impossible. In 2003, lawsuits were charged against Apple, complaining that the batteries lasted for shorter lengths of time than said and that the batteries slowy lost power over time and decreasing the battery life even more. The lawsuit was setteled and for people who were involved got $50 store credit, or battery change. iPods have been criticized for their short life-span and fragile hard drives, It concluded that some models were more durable than others. •iPods have many different size compbaliltiy ranging from 512MB to 160GB, that’s 250 songs to 40,000 songs more

Resolved Question: Yorkie Bar/Gingerbread men offence?

Why did some feminists focus all their energy in being offended by the 'Yorkie - it's not for Girls' advertising campaign, when in poorer regions of the world --- Women are not being educated (and therefore child mortality rates are higher) Rape victims in Saudi Arabia are treated just as harshly as the sexual offender, when the victims comes forth to report a rape, and women worldwide (along with children) are at risk of being exploited through human trafficking? more

Resolved Question: Can anyone explain to me how the people who run Twitter make money?

From what I can see, Twitter is entirely free to use, it isn't propped up by advertising, and there are no visible revenue generators on the site. The site has an enormous worldwide user base, with incredibly high traffic, and all that costs money, so they must be incurring fairly large running costs. So, how on earth do they do it? They must be making money from somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't see where or how. Anybody got any suggestions? more
