Open Question: 02 server down, could have been cut off early?
02 are cutting us off on 11th of this month for over usage (or so they claim) and for the past 2 days our Internet has been down. It still says the Internet has excellent connection but the server is down. Is this the work of 02 cutting us off early or will it right itself soon?

Since I upgraded my Android's firmware last night, I noticed something strange.
I've noticed that the icon that usually appears on the left of the signal icon has disappeared.
Also, I've noticed that sometimes when I go in the browser a box appears, it says "You don't have an internet connection" with the option "connect to wi-fi". I've never had this box appear before!
I'm guessing that upgrading the firmware has removed a setting or something for the internet?
Please tell me I haven't ruined my phone's internet? :(

Okay, I'm not an expert with computers at all, but hear me out. My house has it's own wifi network. There are two other people using it besides me. Lately, our internet connection has been impossible to connect to, because it says that the DNS server is unavailable. However, this only happens a couple times, and I never seem to see my cousin( he lives with me) having problems with the internet. I was wondering if somehow he was disconnecting the DSL thing. The green light above the DSL router won't light up, however when I checked the other night, he wasn't there at all. I'm wondering if it's possible for him to somehow screw with the router using his own laptop. It's his internet connection, so maybe he can do that stuff through his laptop.

my boyfriends brother got the new iphone and gave me his old one, it was jailbroken and i tried to restore it to factory settings by using itunes and it said it wasnt alloud or something like that.. i went to settings on the iphone and pressed erase iphone (not exactly sure what the option was called) and the white apple with the black backround came up and the little spinny thing that means its loading was there for about four hours.. i have the phone charging on my desktop and now all that is on the screen is the low battery icon with a lightning bolt underneath of it.

I've been connected via ethernet cord since I moved into my house about 10 months ago. Since then, I haven't had a SINGLE problem. Then today, I signed into Xbox, and it worked as always. I went to go look at a friend request, was about to accept, and then the Xbox froze for a second. Then a message appeared saying "Disconnected From Xbox Live". This has happened before to me, but only from accidentally unplugging the ethernet or the router. So anyways, I checked both the router and modem, and they were connected and working fine. I checked the ethernet port on the router, and the cord was well snug in there. I went to the Xbox, and made sure it was connected tightly. It was. So I restarted it, and it wouldn't sign me in. I tried multiple times, and then did the "Test Connection" test. It very quickly connected to the Internet and Network, but then failed when it got to the Xbox Live portion. So it's not like I'm having internet problems, I just can't sign in for some reason. Ideas?

I get my internet on my laptop from my smartphone when I use my usb to internet share. I tested the speed and it was about 150 kb a second which is as fast as it could go. Then I tested the ping and it was around 120 which I am not happy about. I live in a great connection area and I have 5 out of 6 bars which is really nice. Then why do I have such a high ping. Well for maybe the past two weeks Frontierville has like **** the bucket for me. I have dial-up internet, and frontierville used to work perfect, and load very fast and there was not one problem. Well now for the past two weeks it will load SUPER slow, and when it does, nothing will pop up. Just white (where the people are supposed to be) and the basic green grass. Nothing else. I have a laptop and a desktop, but the problem is with my laptop. It has begun randomly disconnecting me from the internet, like every 20 minutes I lose my connection and have to wait for it to come back. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? My grandparents computer got a virus recently, and of course I was the only one that could deal with it. I scanned with Malware Bytes and removed the four infections it found, and the virus is seemingly gone. No more popups telling me to buy virus stuff, no more porn popups, and no more Internet Explorer hijacks. But, my internet connection on certain browsers is still blocked. For instance, I ran access the web fine on Firefox, but I can't on Chrome or Internet Explorer. It jut gives me the message you get when your internet connections down, but obviously mine isn't since I'm on the web on Firefox right now. I've allowed Chrome and IE as exceptions on my Firewall, but still can't connect. What should I do?

I went to speedtest.net and tested my internet speed. Down stairs near the wireless router I got about 15mb/s down. Upstairs my computer still tells me that I have a 99% connection with the router. I test again for the speed and I'm only receiving 3mb/s down. I don't understand how this is affecting the internet speed if I still have a 99% connection.

I have a Vista computer and think I have a computer virus because I get pop-up windows in Internet Explorer for porn sites and never have been to a porn site. I can't open my virus protection software even in "Safe Mode." My computer is connecting to the internet but whenever I try and go to a webpage I get an error message saying that "Internet Explorer recognizes this page as a threat..." (even when I'm using Firefox.) or a proxy message. Can't access windows update, because you click it and nothing happens.

So my sister's internet on her windows vista isn't working. We found out it was because of the proxy server and we need to verify it. So I went to internet explorer > tools > internet options > connections > LAN settings > Advanced to find the server and port number to put into the command window to try to fix it but it says the numbers are invalid or something. My computer shows internet connection but no access to internet. Im NOT in offline mode, plus all 3 laptops in the vicinity are the same-showing internet connection but no access to the internet.
We thought it might be overheating, but we keep it cool and it just keeps getting worse. Maybe we arent keeping it cool enough? Or maybe there is another problem.

Help!!!! Today my laptop became infected with "Antivir". I quickly realized it was a fake anti-spyware, logged off the computer and logged back on. It messed up my internet connection, I called Comcast and come to find out it went into my proxy settings and changed it to f up my access to the internet! THEN, I come to find out it messed up my Javascript settings too! If there is anything else anyone can tell me about this crazy virus then please let me know! I do not need anymore suprises! There's 2 things I'm worried about.
1) Whenever I turn on my xbox it makes a loud noise and I have no idea why. My games are still playable and it still runs correctly so far.
2) My wireless adaptor isn't connecting to my internet like it should. Whenever I turn on my xbox the little status light flashes green for just a split second then stays red. I have it set up to the correct wifi (the one I'm using right now).

My neighbor has a PC with Vista and all she had to do was set up a new connection, a broadband connection, and type in the ID and password that OCN gave her.
The ONLY information we have is an ID (which looks like an email address, ending in @ipcom.ocn.ne.jp) and a short password. That's supposed to get us on the internet.
