He was a staunch supporter of Indian National Congress, he was termed as Frontiers Ghandi, Since his area of influence was Pushtun areas which were muslim dominant areas so he always knew that even in combined india his political stature wont get affected.Since he was a muslim and pushtun who would stand a chance infront of him even if he had nothing to offer, no hindu would stand a chance what so ever. The only alteration to his political stauture would occuer if there was a political force to emerge with whome ppl of the area can assosiate with, Indian National Congress could not be that force since it was a hindu dominated party and pushtuns had nothing to assosiate themselves with it, so which other force could win their assosiation? obviously it was Muslim Leauge. So this made him natural alliant of Indian National Congress and a natural opponent of Muslim leauge.And he was very consious of this fact. He never bycotted refrendum initially, when refrendum was announced initially to counter the growing influence of Muslim Leauge in pushtun areas he invited Jwahar Lal Nehru the leader of indian national congress to the NWFP to motivate pushtuns to vote against muslim leauge and pakistan, but when nehru started to address pushtuns and as soon as he asked them to vote against pakistan the pushtuns started throwing stones at nehru and he got injured and he had to be rushed out of the area, at this point the intentions of pushtuns were became clear to every body including ghaffar khan, so at this stage when political defeat became obviously apparent to ghaffar khan he twisted and bycotted the refrendum. But the very important point to mention here is that when ghaffar khan bycotted the refrendum the stance that he took was that since its pre-precieved in other muslim dominate areas that they would be included in pakistan why is the same rule not applied here in pushtun areas ,and that they should be automatically included in pakistan instead ofconducting the refrendum. he never opposed the question of refrendum but boycate was necessary for him since had he participated and lost in refrendum it would bring out the changed political dynamic tilting from of him to muslim leauge out in open so to avoid it he bycotted the refrendum, other wise why would u bycotte a refrendum conducted by a neutral party in this case british if u had any hope to win it.On the other hand muslim leauge wanted the refrendum so that this issue could be solved once and for all and to stop any future blackmail by him. But when he understood that refrendum was an obvious occurance now he changed his stance again and raised the slogan of pushtunistan which afgans try to use for their malicious designs. the important point here is that Ghafar khan never raised the slogan of joining with afghanistan he raised the slogan of an independent pushtun state because he knew joining afghanistan would be a political sucide for him as political elite in afghanistan will overtake him and his slogan was over whelmingly rejected by pushtuns. In his own diares he writes the turn out was 53%, now in 2008 in american elections which has a strong demcratic base the turn out was 63% ,here we r talking about 53% in 1947 in an area with no democratic base, and in which participant were mostly male voters when ratio of popultion of male to female is about 50% each. more

Ok, so I know you would all be wondering, how can a school have an election this time of year? Truth is my school is not having an election during this time. Before the election, which is all the way in October, i want to be prepared. I'm going into seventh grade next year and I'm planning to run for vice president. Here are some of my ideas so far: we can have different themes for activity nites since they are boring. The themes are heaven and hell, the 70's, the 80's, American Idol with people actually singing, Hawaiian/the beach,Winter Wonderland, Thriller/Halloween, and maybe even candy land, with sugar free CANDY and homemade sweets of course. Also we can have a karaoke night. - To actually earn money for these, we can have car washes and bake sales, which my school doesn't have. - we can have actually HEALTHY foods at school and maybe even replace some of the ice cream with frozen yogurt. We can also get actually fresh salad, we can have a healthy challenge day for ALL grades, and we can have a recycling day on earth day where all the kids wear gloves and look for items in the school to recycle, and the class with the most recycled items will win a prize or a pizza party or something. - We can have a spirit week with pajama day, our traditional pep rally, spirit song day(the kids in the grade can form groups and make a song about our school, that too can be a contest.), crazy hair day, crazy outfit day, dress like a celebrity day, and a sports day where everyone can play games and soprts. Recently, on Maddow's show, she started a smear campaign against Kentucky Republican Senate candidate Rand Paul, with the help of his Democrat opponent (I won't aid his campaign by mentioning him, as he has no chance of winning). Rand Paul is being accused of "racism" for advocating upholding the Constitution and for private property rights, which was also the position of Barry Goldwater (Paul is a Goldwater Republican). The reason why I ask if Maddow is a racist is because she presumably favors racial discrimination against people with light skin tones. This form of discrimination is known as affirmative action and is supported by virtually every ultra-liberal. Under affirmative action, people with darker skin tones are given positions instead of more qualified persons with lighter skin tones. Affirmative action is racist because it 1) discriminates against people on the basis of skin tone and 2) accepts the existence of different "races" even though the whole concept of "race" is imaginary. In fact, Maddow's beloved Civil Rights Act of 1964 is itself a racist piece of legislation, as it was the Enabling Act that allowed activist judges to create affirmative action. The Civil Rights Act both repealed forced segregation laws and implemented forced integration laws. Of course, once you accept forced integration laws, there is no way to prevent "discrimination" other than by quotas, that is by the racist policy known as affirmative action. Therefore, it is in fact racist to favor forced integration or forced segregation laws. But, of course, I doubt any politically correct leftist actually understood any of the preceding, as they are experienced at shutting their brain down ("crimestop" in George Orwell's Newspeak language) whenever logic ("thoughtcrime" in Newspeak) is used to criticize their ridiculous dogmas. Instead, repeating mindless slogans is more to their liking (while pretending that they are "more intelligent" than the "unsophisticated" common people who still resort to the use of such anachronisms as "facts" and "logic" rather than mindlessly reciting the dogmas of PC). more

[On 8 November 1948, Nathuram Godse (19 May 1910-15 November 1949) rose to make his statement in court. Reading quietly from a typed manuscript, he sought to explain why he had killed Gandhi. His thesis covered ninety-pages, and he was on his feet for five hours. Godse's statement, excerpted below, should be read by citizens and scholars in its entirely, for it provides an insight into his personality and his understanding of the concept of Indian nationhood – Editor] "Born in a devotional Brahmin family, I instinctively came to revere Hindu religion, Hindu history and Hindu culture. I had, therefore, been intensely proud of Hinduism as a whole. As I grew up I developed a tendency to free thinking unfettered by any superstitious allegiance to any isms, political or religious. That is why I worked actively for the eradication of untouchability and the caste system based on birth alone. I openly joined anti-caste movements and maintained that all Hindus are of equal status as to rights, social and religious, and should be considered high or low on merit alone and not through the accident of birth in a particular caste or profession. I used publicly to take part in organized anti-caste dinners which thousands of Hindus, Brahmins, Vaishyas, Kshatriyas, Chamars and B-----s participated. We broke the caste rules and dined in the company of each other. I have read the speeches and writings of Dadabhai Naoroji, Vivekanand, Gokhale, Tilak, along with the books of ancient and modern history of India and some prominent countries like England, France, America and Russia. Moreover I studied the tenets of socialism and Marxism. But above all I studied very closely what Veer (brave) Savarkar and Gandhiji had written and spoken, as to my mind these two ideologies have contributed more to the moulding of the thought and action of the Indian people during the last thirty years or so, than any other factor has done. All this thinking and reading led me to believe that it was my first duty to serve Hindudom and Hindus both as a patriot and as a world citizen. To secure the freedom and to safeguard the just interests of some thirty crores (three hundred million) of Hindus would automatically constitute the freedom and well-being of all India, one fifth of the human race. This conviction led me naturally to devote myself to the Hindu Sanatanist ideology and programme, which alone, I came to believe, could win and preserve the National Independence of Hindustan, my Motherland, and enable her to render true service to humanity as well. Since the year 1920, that is, after the demise of Lokmanya Tilak, Gandhi's influence in the Congress first increased and then became supreme. His activities for public awakening were phenomenal in their intensity and were reinforced by the slogan of truth and non-violence, which he paraded ostentatiously before the country. No sensible or enlightened person could object to these slogans. In fact there is nothing new or original in them. They are implicit in every constitutional public movement. But it is nothing but a dream if you imagine the bulk of mankind is, or can ever become, capable of scrupulous adherence to these lofty principles in its normal life from day to day. In fact, honour, duty and love of one's own kith and kin and country might often compel us to disregard non-violence and to use force. I could never conceive that an armed resistance to an aggression is unjust. I would consider it a religious and moral duty to resist and if possible, to overpower such an enemy by use of force. (In the Ramayana) Rama killed Ravana in a tumultuous fight and relieved Sita. (In the Mahabharata) Krishna killed Kansa to end his wickedness; and Arjuna had to fight and slay quite a number of his friends and relations, including the revered Bhishma, because the latter was on the side of the aggressor. It is my firm belief that in dubbing Rama, Krishna and Arjuna as guilty of violence, the Mahatma betrayed the total ignorance of the springs of human action. In more recent history, it was the heroic fight put up by Chhatrapati Shivaji that first checked and eventually destroyed the Muslim tyranny in India. It was absolutely essential for Shivaji to overpower and kill an aggressive Afzal Khan, failing which he would have lost his own life. In condemning history's towering warriors like Shivaji, Rana Pratap and Guru Govind Singh as misguided patriots, Gandhi has merely exposed his self-conceit. He was, paradoxical, as it may appear, a violent pacifist who brought untold calamities on the country in the name of truth and non-violence, while Rana Pratap, Shivaji and the Guru will remain enshrined in the hearts of their countrymen forever for the freedom they brought to them.
