I am a 33 years old graduate. I have done DTP (Desk Top Publishing) course which includes knowledge of CorelDraw, Photoshop, MS-Office etc. I am running my own business of Designing and Printing documents for last 10 years in Ghaziabad, situated near New Delhi, India. I design formats for various documents like Visiting cards, Letter-Heads, Invoices, Advertising Pamphlets, Wedding Invitation Cards etc. and get them printed. But I could never get as much clients as I expected. I want to know if I can do anything more with my qualification and my setup of Computer which includes a scanner, Broadband net connection and Laser printer. How can I increase my client network ? Are there any options for earning on Internet ? If there is not much scope in own business, then are there any jobs in my city for Graphic Designers like me ? more

Voting Question: Using wordpress to design a site that includes affiliate marketing?

I bought my first domain name today through godaddy.com. I then created my first site (or blog) using wordpress. After doing some research I found hostgator to be a better option than godaddy's host service so I went with them. With hostgator as my host I forwarded the traffic from the domain I bought through godaddy to the site I created with wordpress. Did a test and by typing in my domain name into the bar up top... what do ya know, I got to my site! I was happy lol. I still couldn't get to it through the search engine, even when I typed in my actual domain name, but I did that within seconds of signing up so I figured it may not be registered yet. I then signed up with commission junction to start posting affiliate links on my site. After searching around a bit I found a relevant program and decided to sign up with it. Tried to post on my wordpress blog and it didn't work saying they only allow advertising if you have a stand alone wordpress site through one of their approved hosting servers.. or something along those lines. And to my surprise... I didn't see hostgator on the list. Did I just waste the $10 dollars on hostgator or can I still somehow use my wordpress page through their host service and include aflliliate links on it? If so how do I do it? When I was surfing this forum I though I remember people saying you can use a webpage designed through wordpress with any host out there. -Side note, I'm a complete newbie to affliate marketing. I've joined a site that hides contact information like email and phone numbers unless we pay a subscription. I need to contact some of these people but I'm not about to pay for a phone number or email address. They charge about 20 $ for 10 days membership, which then allows this information to be displayed so we can contact other users. What makes it even worse is that both parties must be subscribed to access this info. And on top of that they also make revenue from advertising on the top of every page. Pretty greedy I reckon, sites littered with advertising are usually available to use free of charge. So probably what I'm after is some kind of tricky script or injection that would unmask these contact details. Resolved Question: Why has my Facebook Wall completely disappeared?

I have a group on Facebook and I was advertising it by sending links to other groups who had hundreds of members joining every second. I wasn't actually spamming the group, I was sending the links probably every 10 seconds and I only sent three. It's made me wonder whether someone has reported me for spamming? Do you think that's the cause of the problem? My Wall is still there, it's just that everything inside it has completely gone - all my statuses, the 'Name are now friends' comments... everything, all that's there is 'My Name has no recent posts (where 'My Name' is my name, I don't want to reveal it on here lol... I don't know why). If I click the 'Options' at the top of the Wall and click 'Just Friends', then everything sent from my friends are shown. If I click 'Just Me' or 'Me and Friends' it just says that I have no recent posts... I have no idea why this is happening, I didn't change my settings. I later deleted all the links I had sent to the group and it was still the same. There was one thing I did notice though, everytime I sent a link the comment saying 'You posted a link to... 's Wall' appeared at the top of the Wall and I had to click 'Older Posts' rather than it appearing at the bottom near all the comments where my friends were added - the ones saying 'Name are now friends' or whatever. I found this set of washer and dryer at hhgregg for $888, really is it $898 but they give you a mail-in rebate of $100, that is why it will cost only $898. Hi Im a 5" female. I weight 10 1/2 stone. I desperately want to get to a size 6/8 by christmas/new year. Im currently a size 10 in tops/dresses and a 10/12 in bottoms. Im starting ballet after new year so i desperately want to look good in my leotard and tights not like a frumpy hippo which i do at the moment. Last week I took my little brother (He's 10) to see Where the Wild Things are. He was perfectly happy until we went to the concession stand, where there was this enormous poster advertising the movie 2012. Saying 'We Were Warned' at the top with a huge image of a destroyed city. Ever since he saw that he has been looking up all this stuff on 2012 online, watching it on the history channel, and has been getting more and more depressed about it. I know 2012 is a hoax, and I've tried explaining it to him. The hype about the doomsday is just based on people's ignorance of the Mayan Calendar, which never said ANYTHING about the end of the world. But my brother is very depressed over this. We both believe in God and I'm tried explaining to him that we cannot know when the world will end, only God knows. But that didn't help. I am a stay at home mom that decided when my baby was born 3 months ago that going back to work was something i just couldnt do ( for personal emotional reasons) financially i just need about $600 a month in income and my husband pays everything else.and any extra is simply that , Extra. I started posting ads on craigslist for child care and before long got a 2 1/2 year old boy then a few weeks later got sibblings 2 1/2 boy and 18 mth girl but 3 weeks later their mom didnt pay so i had to let them go. well i see so many adds on there saying "stay at home mom looking to watch a couple kids" or "wanting to care for a few kids in my home so my kid has a playmate" or SAHM watches kids at home for $10 a day" I have taken as well as my husband ( he is home during the days and works at night) infant and toddler cpr class was not a certification but an educational class offered through the lamaze class. I have submited an application to have mine and my husbands backgrounds checked through the state of texas it is still pending. we have no history i know that for sure. I see so many people offering child care in their home for $75 a week to $100 a week and they are wanting to do it under the table and not pay taxes etc well i have been charging the boy i watch $100 but i supply food, milk, snacks, juice, on top of all the paper towels, hand soap, lysol etc that we go through alot of my husband is buying a larger home so i can have a room that is strictly for child care and is 13 ft by 17 feet but nwo i just have everything in my living room i work with the kids on colors shapes numbers letter, we read books play out side, play with playdough, potty train and all that. would you be willing to let me care for your child knowing that we will be moving into the bigger home in the next month or even few weeks and will start having the bigger daycare area. I would charge $150 a week, you supply 2 changes of clothes, 5 pair of undies if potty training, diapers formula wipes, baby food any special milk like soy milk. You brings childs lunch i provide snacks and drinks or you pay extra 2.50 a day for me to supply lunch meal I have a schedule where the kids take naps the same time ( give or take a few minutes) each day, reading time clean up time sensory time art time etc (actual regestered daycare homes that dont even have a seperate room with centers like i will be having set up charge in our area $130- $175 would you be willing to pay $150 for this care that i will be having rather than $75 -$100 a week for care in a small apartment with someone that is not listed through the state and they may not teach your child numbers colors etc. please give me your inputand yes i know my spelling and stuff is not all right in here. I'm looking into getting a contract phone as my phone (nokia n95) screen is slightly going. Plus i want a better offer cause currently i only get free texts to o2 numbers for a £10 top up. I've seen the Nokia 5800 advertised on the Dial-A-Phone website for £16.69 effective cost per month (half price line rental for 12 months for the 18month contract) The offer sounds great as it's not much more than what i'm paying now and i get 600 mins & unlimited texts. The phone looks decent, similar type gadgets to the Nokia N95 but i'm not entirely sure on this phone, I've gone through review after review and i get the impression the phones good but yet there still seems to be few people who state the cons. (all phones have them) But if anyone has the phone please give me your own personal review. & would it be more of a step-up from the N95 or a step down? Advertising isn't cheap. Then it said the CEO's at the top make obscene wages, that would pay all the medical bills in the country by their self. They have employees who had to be paid, huge sky scraper buildings that are not cheap. Then they still make billions in profits. Most of the people who have health insurance the company will not pay their bill because of some minor thing in the fine print. such as people on the job when they get to sick to work the policy is dropped. Resolved Question: Should I take the job......please help?

Hi, I know this is long; My friend got me an interview for a call centre job for 118. I did my trial day the other day. They let me listen in to calls for about 10 minutes and then I had to do it myself whilst a supervisor watched. She said I handled everything really well but I HATED it! I've been offered the job and am due to start in 2 weeks. I start Uni in September and was hoping I could get a student job then. I'm currently on Jobseeker's Allowance and I'm worried that I will hate the job and leave but then I'll be left with no money to live on, because the Jobcentre won't pay you if you've walked out of a job. I haven't told the Jobcentre about this job yet. The job is not people phoning up 118 and us giving out people's numbers or addresses. We have to phone up businesses that are on a database and check that the details we already have about them are correct (if not, change them) and ask them for other details e.g. email addresses, number of employees. If they ask any questions we tell them it's all free, but apparently 118 then sends them an invoice telling them they need to pay to use their services as 118 has advertised for them. It's also for yell.com. Some people are very suspicious, and perhaps rightly so. I suffer with depression and have no confidence and don't think I can handle a job like this at the moment. People were so rude to me on my trial day e.g. 2 people hung up on me, someone told me to hurry up because they were busy. Someone said "How do I know you're really 118?" And I could hardly hear what some people were saying and vice versa. I was speaking at the top of my voice (no-one in the office noticed, everyone's on phones lol). I have had perforated ear drums in the past, so maybe that's why. I've never worked in a call centre before. After just an hour I wanted a cigarette and I'm not a bad smoker! I know I should get some money together for Uni but I know I'll hate this job! I haven't studied my subject in 3 years and wanted to have a good read before I go to Uni (I took 3 years out after college). I don't want to let my friend down or my family, but I don't want to make myself miserable either. I've had a really bad past few years and feel like I'm finally coming out of it. Opinions please? Never in my life have I let a food delivery and human incompetence get me worked up. But tonight Kitchener, Ontario Papa John's really took the cake! I booked my pizza order online at 8pm...a pricey as anything, but I was sold just to try it. An hour and 25 mins later, I get a call on my cell phone. I can't understand the guy, but I think he's down stairs...so I run down to let him in...nope, not there...so i call him back...he says he's outside, I tell him i'm at the door and there i no one in sight. Honest mistake, even if my apartment was on the same street at the Papa's and 10 blocks away...so I stay on the phone with the guy, telling him every land mark in sight - Being literally 20 feet from City hall being the main one. Nope. No comprehend. Minutes pass, and he hangs up on me in the middle of his humming and hawing and mumbling. I try calling back, no answer, tried one more time...nothing again. I'm about to head back in when I realize my keys are on my table and my auto lock door is closed because I was chasing a delivery guy who got lost 10 blocks from his home base. (even if he was close, i would have saw him.he was no where in sight...not even on the right block.) after 2 hours of being stuck outside, i get in to get the papa's number, i call them and get a friendly fellow who offers me bread sticks as soon as he answers the phone... i asked him what was up with the pizza and explained what happened. (now hungry as a horse!) The guy says "he couldn't find your place, it was a bad address." - I told him i was standing in that address and on the street and didnt see him... the guy on the phone develops a bit of an attitude and says "gimme a minute, i'll talk to the driver..." 8-10 mins pass while i'm on hold. WAY more than enough time to investigate the pizza issue. so i hang up and call back. the same guy answers on the first ring and says "hold please" and puts me on hold. I hang up and call back...this goes on for 15 mins or so. (i was just working on principal after the 2nd time.) at one point i shouted "NOOO" when they said "hold, the guy stopped and said "what...?" and i said "wheres my pizza?" and he hung up. FINALLY the next time i call they actually answer the phone like nothing happened with the "pappa's" phone answering speal...as if they weren't looking at the call display this time (as they were the first 30 times) finally i ask this guy "where is the customer service papa's states they have on their site?" he says "you know what buddy, you should have called back about your pizza 2 hours ago! don't call here again." I will never call there again. I went into the pizza pizza that i live right above. I should have went there in the first place. They have whole wheat crust, gluten free crust as well as crispy crust on top of their regular dough - on top of that, they have WAY more toppings and they have WAY better prices...what was I thinking trying to switch Papa John's? never again. more

I don't know if I'm crazy or what but my husband can't understand me. Let me start of by saying that I am a stay at home mom of our 10 month old daughter. I've always worked before. My daughter is breastfed and super attached to me. She doesnt crawl, doesn't like her walker for more than 10 minutes and will not play by herself. She also cosleeps and wants to pacify on me all night. I am overwhelmed and so tired. I feel like I work 24/7! During the day i can't go to the a bathroom without her throwing a fit. Not to mention taking a shower or making breakfast or lunch. I eat something fast while holding her in my arms. I also run a small part time business (from home) and help husband with his (do all his accounting, advertising, admin, etc). I keep on asking for me time for some rest but the exuse is that she's breastfed and he can't soothe her. On top of all this hubby wants an hour per day to study for some exam. Even worse he told my uncle (who by the way looks down on women including my auntie) to tell me 'hey you should watch the baby and have your husband study once daily for an hour uninterrupted by you and the baby' Thats what made it worse. that he discussed it with someone else without asking me! Well he knew that it wasn't right to ask me since i am overwhelmed as is and can't wait sometimes for him to get home just to keep an eye on the baby so i can prepare dinner and take a shower. By the way hubby doesn't know how to cook ANYTHING, doesn't help out with household things at all. Am I at wrong for feeling upset? Its not that I don't want him to study for an hour its that I need a break too but it never about me ever.Not to even mention that I am loosing so much hair. I've never lost this much hair and know it can happen postpartum but that already happened. Its gotta be all the stress. 1. It comes with three games, one of which caught my attention. Need for Speed has controls specifically designed for this phone (possibly the Dare, too...any phone that has an accelerometer). Are there other apps like that available yet and if so, which ones? Also of interest to me are apps that can be run using just the touch screen. 2. Im also looking for games designed specifically for QWERTY keyboard phones like the Resident Evil one. 3. Is there a way to download more widgets like the clock and memo pad?
