I need to know some estimate costs for.. How much bulk paper costs, per 100 sheets of A5 or something, I think it is done in reels or something :S How much it would cost to have an advert put on a local radio station how much a small advertisement would cost in a newspaper. I started a new job 2 months ago, which was advertised as 'up to £23k per annum'. I told the recruitment consultant I wanted £23k, and was told this would be passed on to the company. However, when I was offered the job, i was told the maximum salary was only £21k. As the job market is so bad, i said i would take the job anyway. Another employee who started the same job as me at the same time also had the same problem. They have since left, and the job is being advertised again with 3 different agencies as 'up to £23k per annum'. I feel this is unfair, but don't want to cause problems with my new employer. It's only £2k but i commute 80 miles a day to this job, and the extra would really help! moreResolved Question: Ending Lease agreement before lease end date.?
I know the following falls under breach of contract but we have no other alternative. After 5 months of opening our business - it is bankrupt. The local people just didn't want to support us. We advertised like mad. But nothing. We did some marketing beforehand (obviously) and the people couldn't wait for us to open. Well,...After 5 months we can not go on with the lease. We still have 6 months left. We are already one month in arrears and can not pay anymore. We really hoped for more business, but nothing. We used up all our savings. History: We signed a contract with Mr X and he told us that all reparations that has to be done, we will be obliged to pay for but he will subtract it from our monthly rental. However, Mr X sold the premises to another company during this time without our knowledge. We just got a call one day and she said we must pay into their account. They are the new owners. We asked for some rental relief, but No. We also put in the toilets, sewerage pipes, doors, basins, etc to be able to get our business license. These new owners did not want to reimburse us. The contract is in my husband name and we are in real need for someone to help us with the wording of a letter to explain and hopefully the landlord will cancel the lease. I just need some help. I know that we are in the wrong legally, but hope they just have a heart. moreResolved Question: Can somebody pleeease help me explain this and give me ideas for easy 10 points?

Hi I am venturing into the world of marketing as an affiliate product owner (clickbank) and would like some advice please. I have considered blogging as a means to advertise my products. But, I am aware that blog.com and blogger.com etc may consider this a form of spamming. I do not have the skills to set up my own website as a blog type site. Neither can I afford, at this stage, to hire a web designer. I am considering buying a domain name, hosting space etc but need advice on what would be best for my needs? I do need the following: - A package that has some form of easy build facility so I can simply build the site myself. - A web site that has many pages for me to blog, upload pictures etc in fact has the same stuff blogger.com provides for its bloggers. - A package with no restrictions so I can blog away whilst advertising my products as and when I deem appropriate. I would appreciate any advice Thanks moreVoting Question: transfer to one uni to another?

I am housekeeper with over 20 years experience in the hotel industry. I have worked at 5 star luxury hotels and have left with glowing references. Most of my employers have commented on the high standard of my work and my references all state that i am highly recommended. After 3 years of working at a 4 star hotel I sadly was paid off as the company went into liquidation. I was unemployed for 6 weeks and applied for a job in a 3 star hotel. The hotel was of a much lower standard than i was use to and was much smaller. I was interviewed and offered the job. I didnt sign a contract, silly but at the time i didnt think as i was desperate for work. I worked there for 14 weeks and in this time i was constantly told that my work was excellent. I was asked to cover other peoples shifts and also given a second job covering breakfast shifts which i gladly accepted. After 14 weeks, i turned up to work and was informed that I was being let go as the hotel wasnt busy and there was no work. I was devestated but didnt see what I could do. I was assured that it had nothing to do with my work and my boss stated that he would give me a glowing reference. This happened on 29th january this year. I have since been searching for work and came across an posting on a well known website advertising for a housekeeping position in my area. I applied right away and sent my c.v via email as the ad requested. When i looked at the advert again I was shocked to discover that the position i applied for was in fact MY job! Im horrified as i know my work was of a high standard and i was paid off due to there being no work. While i was working there i was a little taken aback with the number of staff who were employed and sacked within a matter of weeks. Also, when i got my first wage slip I noticed that national insurance contributions had been taken from my wages but tax hadnt. After enquiring about this I had to contact the tax office and found out that I had been declared as self employed. I arranged to pay my tax and thought nothing more of it. I dont want to confront my ex-employer as i am still owed wages and I want paid before I rock the boat. Is there anything I can do about this situation after i get what im owed? There are so many charities now which seem to support a lot of admin staff on fairly large salaries. The charities spend a lot of money on mail shots and advertising, and when money is slim (as during the recession), there is no slimming down of admin, just a slimming down of the help to the people who need it. There are no share holders to answer to, so the people in charge just keep drawing their huge salaries. I want to donate some money to Haiti. Can anyone advise me of the best charity to donate to so that the help gets to the people in Haiti and is not spent on keeping people in cushy jobs.Thank you for all of your answers. My head and my heart are in a battle. I have run a successful mortgage brokerage in the UK since 2001. Unfortunately since the market turned 2 years ago I have really struggled to keep going. I have business debts of around £18,000 - this includes my business overdraft, accountants & corporation tax bill. I want to keep going (my heart) but every month I am going deeper into debt as the new business just isn't coming in - people either are not moving or cant move. My head is telling me to walk away now and take whatever the consequences might be. I have done this job all my life since I was 18 (i'm now 42) and I dont know what else I could do as job except for things like taxi driving etc. The problem I have is that I have spent quite a bit of money now on advertising, promotion and networking groups - and whilst this had bought quite a few enquiries very little has turned into business as lenders wont lend or clients dont have big enough deposits or sufficient salary. Hey, this is a ten mark question and i haven't completed it yet but so far..does my answer sound reasonable? I missed yesterday in class when he went over it so i'm not entirely sure, thanks for any help : ) Higher Business Management Homework A large firm has developed a new product. Describe the factors that should be considered when pricing this new product. The market segment in which the organisation wishes to sell it’s product or service must be considered to achieve maximum profit, or any profit at all because if the product is aimed at being sold to working class consumers then the product is unlikely to sell well in this segmentation if the product has a high cost (if it is unnecessary. E.g. Plasma televisions, video games, dishwashers). If the product being released when there are already many competitors e.g. soft drink companies such as Pepsi or Coca Cola then there would need to be a vast amount of money spent on promotion and advertising and is unlikely to sell well if it is more expensive than the commonplace recognized brands. If the product is innovative and new to the market then there are likely to be very few or no competitors so prices can be set initially high when it is introduced. moreResolved Question: A tricky campaign, can you be the genius to solve it?

Below i have my uni personal statement.. if any one could help proof read it for me and make any suggestions i would be most grateful thanks... Why do I want to go on to higher education? Well, ever since I started secondary school at the age of eleven I have always wanted to pursue towards further education at university. Originally I wanted to become a Primary school teacher but since taking part in a lot of work experience in that field, my mind was suddenly made up that that this in fact was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I since have gained a great interest in the marketing industry, and I have come to notice that there are mass opportunities in the market, which has yet to be exploited, and I in the future want to do exactly that. I believe it would challenge my more creative side as well as testing my theoretical skills. I'm particularly interested in the more creative advertising side of marketing and the psychology behind it. I'm very business minded and I have many ideas, which I can expand on in the future. But before I do so I want to be more knowledgeable about the marketing industry, because if I do go into this field of work then I want to know what type of characteristics I need to build on in order to be successful in whatever I do in the future. My auntie is also part owner of a family business, so I have experienced business throughout my life and I believe this has contributed to my passion towards this subject. I have just recently undergone two weeks work experience at my aunties business. Here I helped to create leaflets and posters in order to reach out to the local and wider community. I found this thoroughly interesting and I now want to gain a much deeper insight into the marketing sector in order to pursue a career in the industry in the future. In October I returned from a 2 ½ month voluntary project in Kenya run by a government scheme called platform2. The aim of the trip is to provide 18-25 year olds the opportunity to visit a developing country and get involved with global issues of justice and poverty. Whilst in Kenya I lived with a local family for the ten week duration and worked on an ongoing conservation project in order to help conserve the eco system by improving the livelihoods or communities adjacent to the forest through an environmentally sustainable income. This experience has undoubtedly broadened my perspective of the world. It has been portrayed to me that out in Kenya everyone was trying to help one another get by, they were all in the same boat. Here, most people are trying to just get in their own boat and sail their own course. Over there they know that if they don’t build a boat together, they sink. Volunteering in Kenya in an underprivileged community has undoubtedly developed my life skills and fostered the creativity within me. It has nurtured my ability to be flexible in changing conditions, and adapt and adjust to new environments and cultures. Platform2- ‘Some People wait for change to happen, other people volunteer’ All my experiences have made me keen to broaden my knowledge and given the chance I will do so with full dedication, determination and continuous persistence as I am a motivated, sophisticated and charismatic individual who believes you only get one chance to make a first impression and my recognition would be by accomplishing my objective which is to obtain a degree in the marketing field and make myself realise that I have worked towards my potential which thus will be the basis of my success in the future. moreResolved Question: I need help with my business coursework on my marketing campaign?

Also discuss how legal constraints can affect how it does this. Use examples to illustrate your discussion. Select the sales and advertising promotion methods which you feel are most appropriate for your business. Explain how you plan to use them and why they are the most appropriate for your business. You can also use the findings from your target market and competitor research to justify your choice of promotions. Draft a couple of examples of the promotional materials you will use. For example, design a poster, newspaper advert or a business card promoting your business. Research the possible costs of promoting your business. For example, how much will it cost to place an advert on the side of a local bus, produce 5000 flyers, 200 business cards, or a radio advert? You should include some proof that you have carried out this research eg a table of costs or promotional information from a leaflet printing business. You can use www.trade-print.com to find information on the cost of printing leaflets. Create a budget table showing the cost of each of the individual forms promotion that you have chosen to use and the total cost of your marketing campaign. Evaluate the possible effects that the cost of your marketing campaign and its success would have upon the finances of your business. moreResolved Question: the internet is harming the Movie Industry.....or is it?

Hello, I've just finished a course in Web Design/development and I want to start putting my skills into good use. I was thinking of designing web sites as a freelancer. The issue is, I don't have a portfolio to show off my skills. What can I do, to start getting contracts and to let people know about my business (marketing tips) I am on a tight budget (no capital at all) hence I am looking for free ways to market my service to the community. I live in London, and I am willing to make web sites for a really low price. I was thinking advertising on gumtree, craig's list, and freelancers.net. What else can I do ? Any form of feedback is welcome. Thanks ! moreVoting Question: OMG DID U SEE IT?!!?
