As a kid (over 2 decades!), I remember products such as "Shelltox Ministrip" being advertised with TV commercials showing you the potential damage that moths and silverfish could cause to your clothing. Asian relatives favoured the moth ball which also left a strong chemical smell in your wardrobe (ironically the informal Chinese name for moth ball was "pungent pill"). We used to use them as well until my toddler put one in her mouth, probably mistaking it for a "Kool Mint" (ball-shaped mints)! Is it because the products are ineffective or clothing material has changed and don't get damaged by these pests any more? more

My mom wants me to Take Modeling classes to help me with the way i walk & sit & she also says it can help me with my acting career.& i think it can improve my self esteem. My mom always wanted to be a model & she took some classes & she graduated but it was a scam because the certificate of whatever was fake. She also told me about things they taught her & they gave her fashion tips & stuff like that. My Pops is a professional photographer & he can help me with modeling, but my mom suggested "Barbizon" because it can help me with Acting & Modeling... Can Barbizon really help me or is it a scam? Resolved Question: Did you see the televised Hope for Haiti telethon?

It was the two-hour special with various celebrities and musicians. What was your experience in watching this? I thought it was connecting and uplifting. There was a shared sense of togetherness in reaching out to help lift up the people who've been affected by the earthquake. I'm glad there were no advertising commercials throughout the two hour special event - it just flowed well from a celebrity speaking from the heart, to a musician performing solemnly but with tones of hope. I thought it was a brilliant idea to show the celebrities answering the phone lines to help take calls from the people donating towards the Haiti relief effort - kudos to them all. These are some high attaining celebrities who were generous in putting their images out the weigh they did - seeing them in that role, it was like perceiving them as just regular people. This had a powerful effect on the psyche in that made you like believe that you could also step in shoes alongside them and reach similar heights. They showed they care for our humanity and helped bring us up. They could be the new leaders of the world - wished they were as they would start making things right again. I'm glad I watched the entire two hours and did not miss this important programming - I was a part of it. After, 'regular' programming came back on and it was like reality returned to 'normal'. But at least for those two hours, we saw the possibility that a better world can emerge from the rubble of this devastation. This is an opportunity that we can not let pass us bye. more

I recently saw a commercial payed for by the Corn Refiners Association that implied that High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) is acceptable if consumed in moderation and has the same chemical and nutritional value as table sugar. I know the tragedy over in Haiti is devastating and very sad. I feel bad for these people, but why is it that America will go far and beyond to help people over in other countries while we still suffer from our own tragedies in the U.S? I mean the last I heard people still have not fully recovered from when Hurricane Katrina hit years ago. A few years after Hurricane Katrina hit, there was a documentary on HBO where alive victims of that disaster have not received help they need. My thing is take care of our home here in America first before you go all out to help people in other countries. It's like those TV commercials that advertise those poor starving kids in those really poor countries. The ones with flies all over their faces and ribs showing like skeletons with skin. That is so sad to see. As sad as that may be, we have people who have it just as bad in this country that need help just as bad as anyone else in some foreign land. I'm 20 years old and I remember those days when I used to take those flintstone vitamins, but that was so long ago. I don't even remember the last time I took a vitamin, but I can vouch that it's been a while. I am going to be honest, I rarely eat my fruits and veggies, I'm a carnivore, I exercise regularly. I seem perfectly healthy and I feel fine, but I have been seeing these vitamin commercials and they are making me feel like I lack in nutrition! I have seen these videos online quite a bit, especially YouTube, and the more I've seen them, the more I realize they are actually torture for the man because all he's doing is watching and listening, instead of actually experiencing it. It is not fun to be visually tortured like that. I have had tried double dances at strip clubs where I give upper leg worship to 2 strippers while they're both french-kissing at the same time and since I love giing women that kind of leg worship, I enjoyed myself because I wasn't just watching and listening, I actually joined in on it. I recently saw commercials advertising gay cruises such as the Atlantis one. What do you guys think of the idea? It sounds/looks/feels a bit odd to be on a cruise with thousands of -horny- gay guys (especially from what I've seen in the videos, it looks like a big pride parade).
