Resolved Question: Why is "going green" the in thing right now?

For years people have been pushing the issue of recycling and finding alternative methods of fuel,but lately in stores,in converstation,media,and advertising it has been carried to an extreme.In just the past month it has been used in many of conversations i have walked past and heard on the streets,and on commercials.Is the term "going green" being coined as a fad for some or a relative term to attract buyers in a products campain?Kinda like when everyone wore an american flag after 9/11 and ran sells pitches around american products but was soon dropped and forgotten after the fad pasted?What do you think? more

A guy enters a store to buy a pack of cigarettes. There is a chinese salesman behind the counter. The guy put's the cigarettes on the desk and ask's the Chinese:"How much do I owe you?" The Chinese replies: "5 Cents". "What says the guy, a pack of Marlboro for 5 Cents ?" "Yes, 5 Cents, replies the Chinese".The guy in belief this is some advertising campain by Marlboro ask the Chinese: "Can I have another pack for that price ?" "Yes, says the Chinese, 5 Cents". The guy takes another pack, but then decides to ask: "Tell me, is there a limit per customer?" "No, says the Chinese, no limit". The guy takes ten packs and gives the Chinese 50 Cents. The Chinese gives him back 45 Cents. The guy in disbelieve: "What are you doing, I took 10 packs at 5 Cents each, that's 50 Cents all together". The chinese replies: "No, 5 Cents". The guy doesn't understand: "Are you telling me, that if I buy one pack it's 5 Cents, if I buy 2 packs it's 5 Cents, and if I buy 10 packs it's also five Cents. You must be out of your mind !" "No, says the Chinese, 5 Cents" The guy replies: "And what, if I buy everything in the store ?" "5 Cents", replies the Chinese. The guy almost getting angry: "You must be out of your mind, if you continue with this, you will be broke before the day is ending". "Why do you do this?" "Well, says the Chinese. Resolved Question: Advertise or not?

I couldn't add to the last question, so I made another. The website, www.metroareabiz.com says that they are new. They also said they are building clients, then they'll start a strong advertisment campain. I left out that they'll give a month free because it may take that long until we see results. They said they would give me a spot on the city page for $20. For $5 more they'll feature me on the home page with a link to my own site, or for an additional $5, they'll allow me a page on their site and link my button to that. I know it sounds too good to be true, but they are up front with it taking about a month to see results. plus I can claim the $30 on taxes for advertising. What do you think? more

Resolved Question: How true do U think this is :No one has ever been given a dream, w/o also been given the ablity to achieve it?

"No one has ever been given a dream, that has not also been given the power to achieve it." How true do you really think this is? For example If I have a dream of having the president impeached is it within my ability? That may be a very bad example BUT If I dream of making a success in a business at a business that has very limited possibilities 'velomobiles in USA ' I have my doubts on whether enough people would buy an unusual looking bike for over $4000. At 4 grand a piece I would have to sell about 6 a month to pull in 30K or less a year after expenses. (about10% profit margin after parts & labour { renting manufacturing space,electricity, excetera }) Far less margin after an aggressive advertising campain.
