But some companies and recruiters are doing just that. Employment experts say they believe companies are increasingly interested only in applicants who already have a job. "I think it is more prevalent than it used to be," said Rich Thompson, vice president of learning and performance for Adecco Group North America, the world's largest staffing firm. "I don't have hard numbers, but three out of the last four conversations I've had about openings, this requirement was brought up." Some job postings include restrictions such as "unemployed candidates will not be considered" or "must be currently employed." Those explicit limitations have occasionally been removed from listings when an employer or recruiter is questioned by the media though. That's what happened with numerous listings for grocery store managers throughout the Southeast posted by a South Carolina recruiter, Latro Consulting. After CNNMoney called seeking comments on the listings last week, the restriction against unemployed candidates being considered came down. Latro Consulting refused to comment when contacted. Sony Ericsson, a global phone manufacturer that was hiring for a new Georgia facility, also removed a similar restriction after local reporters wrote about it. According to reports, a Sony Ericsson spokesperson said that a mistake had been made. But even if companies don't spell out in a job listing that they won't consider someone who currently doesn't have a job, experts said that unemployed applicants are typically ruled out right off the bat. "Most executive recruiters won't look at a candidate unless they have a job, even if they don't like to admit to it," said Lisa Chenofsky Singer, a human resources consultant from Millburn, NJ, specializing in media and publishing jobs. She said when she proposes candidates for openings, the first question she is often asked by a recruiter is if they currently have a job. If the answer is no, she's typically told the unemployed candidate won't be interviewed. "They think you must have been laid off for performance issues," she said, adding that this is a "myth" in a time of high unemployment. It is not against the law for companies to exclude the unemployed when trying to fill positions, but Judy Conti, a lobbyist for the National Employment Law Project, said the practice is a bad one. "Making that kind of automatic cut is senseless; you could be missing out on the best person of all," she said. "There are millions of people who are unemployed through no fault of their own. If an employer feels that the best qualified are the ones already working, they have no appreciation of the crisis we're in right now." Conti added that firms that hire unemployed job seekers could also benefit from a recently-passed tax break that essentially exempts them from paying the 6.2% of the new hire's wages in Social Security taxes for the rest of this year. Thompson said he also thinks ruling out the unemployed is a bad idea. But he said that part of the problem is that recruiters and human resource departments are being overwhelmed with applications for any job opening that is posted. So they're looking for any short-cuts to get the list of applicants to consider down to a more manageable size. "It's a tough process to determine which unemployed applicants were laid off even though they brought value to their company and which ones had performance issues," he said. "I understand the notion. Indeed, during a short-period of time after passage of McCain-Feingold but before recent ruling, all such groups were prevented from running any kind of mass-media ad buys in the period of 40-days before an election. But if the Constitution's First Amendment doesn't prevent the federal government from prohibiting the underlying economic transactions associated with any citizens ability to affect elections, what good is it? Voting Question: Printing on T-Shirts Help?

So we're going on a trip up to NYC to see a broadway show with our YMCA group (roughly around 20-25 8-12 year olds). To keep track of them, me and the other counsellors have decided to make custom tshirts (hats were our first idea but the girls didnt like them and they were always falling off). The tshirts are bright blue with a sun logo on them and their respective camper numbers at the top. We were going to just use fabric paint to paint the sun and numbers on but after some debate, we found that the shirts would come in handy for other trips we took later on during the summer. So we'd like the campers to actually be able to go home, put the shirt in the washer/dryer without the design coming off of the shirt or any other clothes that might be in the washer at the same time. Hi, myself and a friend are doing a Glee summer camp and we wish to get t-shirts for the two groups there's a KIDS(7-12) and a TEENS(13-17). We want to get plain Black t-shirts with the logo (logo has yet to be designed and confirmed) we're capping the numbers at 24 for each group. We're based in Wicklow, Ireland. Would anyone be so kind as to give me advice on how to go about sizes and where to get them? I was thinking of getting the t-shirts and then printing at local shops. Would it be better to just get the whole thing done in one go online ? I was thinking mens small x12, Womens small x6 and medium x6. For the KIDS i was going to get 8x 7-8, 8x 9-10and 8x 11-12. Two weeks ago the folks who run Republican fundraising made a sloppy mistake. They left the blueprint for their party fundraising plans at a posh resort where they had hosted a GOP retreat. That document is now in the hands of the media. And now Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele is having to put a good light on that pathetically cynical document. Money is short in GOP coffers these days. The RNC has less money in the bank than it has seen in a decade. This fundraising blueprint that is circulating shows a sense of desperation. The plan separates Republican donors into two groups. Group one is the small donor that is described as a "visceral." If you fall into the RNC's classification of "visceral" donor, and the RNC sends you a stylish plaque thanking you for your "visceral" giving, here's my advice: HIDE THE PLAQUE! The term "visceral" in any dictionary describes personalities that are thoroughly "non-intellectual" and "non-analytical." It describes a person driven by fear and raw emotion. It's an odd choice of words for fundraisers to use about people who give Republicans money. According to the RNC fundraising blueprint, Steele intends to raise about 90 percent of the GOP's money from "viscerals." Steele has planned a fundraising event in Las Vegas for his "visceral" donors. They can attend a no-rules ultimate fighting championship if they fork over a little campaign dough. The Steele blueprint shows that there is another "class" of target donors who probably won't be invited to the blood-and-rage fest in Las Vegas. The memo refers to that other class of donors as the "ego-driven" big donors. This crowd is willing to give big money if they can have their picture taken with political celebrities. Also, according to the memo, it's important to give the wealthy fat cats a "Tchotchke" or two. "Tchotchke" is a Yiddish term that describes something that is "disposable," "worthless" and "tacky." If you are one of those major donors and you receive a plaque with your picture next to Michael Steele or Ann Coulter with the term "Tchotchke" printed on the bottom, DO NOT show it to any of your Jewish friends. While the national media can fill nearly every news spot with seemingly endless and mindless stories about the “Balloon Boy” and can give 24-hour coverage to the disappearance of one, young white girl, the mysterious deaths of three Arapaho teenagers goes unnoticed. Hispanics and African Americans have been complaining for years that they have been witnesses to many kidnappings and murders of their young people also, but these happening are either never reported upon by the national news media, or are printed so far on the inside pages of the major newspapers as to be virtually invisible. The same can be said of the 24/7 television news stations like CNN and MSNBC. They fill their broadcasts with so many idiotic, nonsensical stories that they have become irrelevant to the news hungry minorities just dying to see something pertinent to their very existence. But Hispanics and African Americans do get 1,000 times the coverage as Native Americans. If you have never heard of the deaths of these three young Arapaho girls I hope you now know why. Resolved Question: computer programs running in background?

By RUSH LIMBAUGH David Checketts, an investor and owner of sports teams, approached me in late May about investing in the St. Louis Rams football franchise. As a football fan, I was intrigued. I invited him to my home where we discussed it further. Even after informing him that some people might try to make an issue of my participation, Mr. Checketts said he didn't much care. I accepted his offer. It didn't take long before my name was selectively leaked to the media as part of the Checketts investment group. Shortly thereafter, the media elicited comments from the likes of Al Sharpton. In 1998 Mr. Sharpton was found guilty of defamation and ordered to pay $65,000 for falsely accusing a New York prosecutor of rape in the 1987 Tawana Brawley case. He also played a leading role in the 1991 Crown Heights riot (he called neighborhood Jews "diamond merchants") and 1995 Freddie's Fashion Mart riot. Not to be outdone, Jesse Jackson, whose history includes anti-Semitic speech (in 1984 he referred to Jews as "Hymies" and to New York City as "Hymietown" in a Washington Post interview) chimed in. He found me unfit to be associated with the NFL. I was too divisive and worse. I was accused of once supporting slavery and having praised Martin Luther King Jr.'s murderer, James Earl Ray. Next came writers in the sports world, like the Washington Post's Michael Wilbon. He wrote this gem earlier this week: "I'm not going to try and give specific examples of things Limbaugh has said over the years because I screwed up already doing that, repeating a quote attributed to Limbaugh (about slavery) which he has told me he simply did not say and does not reflect his feelings. I take him at his word. . . . " Mr. Wilbon wasn't alone. Numerous sportswriters, CNN, MSNBC, among others, falsely attributed to me statements I had never made. Their sources, as best I can tell, were Wikipedia and each other. But the Wikipedia post was based on a fabrication printed in a book that also lacked any citation to an actual source. I never said I supported slavery and I never praised James Earl Ray. How sick would that be? Just as sick as those who would use such outrageous slanders against me or anyone else who never even thought such things. Mr. Wilbon refuses to take responsibility for his poison pen, writing instead that he will take my word that I did not make these statements; others, like Rick Sanchez of CNN, essentially used the same sleight-of-hand. The sports media elicited comments from a handful of players, none of whom I can recall ever meeting. Among other things, at least one said he would never play for a team I was involved in given my racial views. My racial views? You mean, my belief in a colorblind society where every individual is treated as a precious human being without regard to his race? Where football players should earn as much as they can and keep as much as they can, regardless of race? Those controversial racial views? The NFL players union boss, DeMaurice Smith, jumped in. A Washington criminal defense lawyer, Democratic Party supporter and Barack Obama donor, he sent a much publicized email to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell saying that it was important for the league to reject discrimination and hatred. When Mr. Goodell was asked about me, he suggested that my 2003 comment criticizing the media's coverage of Donovan McNabb—in which I said the media was cheerleading Mr. McNabb because they wanted a successful black quarterback—fell short of the NFL's "high standard." High standard? Half a decade later, the media would behave the same way about the presidential candidacy of Mr. Obama. Having brought me into his group, Mr. Checketts now wanted a way out. He asked me to resign. I told him no way. I had done nothing wrong. I had not uttered the words these people were putting in my mouth. And I would not bow to their libels and pressure. He would have to drop me from the group. A few days later, he did. As I explained on my radio show, this spectacle is bigger than I am on several levels. There is a contempt in the news business, including the sportswriter community, for conservatives that reflects the blind hatred espoused by Messrs. Sharpton and Jackson. "Racism" is too often their sledgehammer. And it is being used to try to keep citizens who don't share the left's agenda from participating in the full array of opportunities this nation otherwise affords each of us. It was on display many years ago in an effort to smear Clarence Thomas with racist stereotypes and keep him off the Supreme Court. More recently, it was employed against patriotic citizens who attended town-hall meetings and tea-party protests. Starting with his disgusting criminal conduct at Chappaquiddick when he abandoned Mary Jo Kopechne to die, Kennedy was always a destructive force in America’s public life. Because Kennedy was never prosecuted, as he should have been, his crime did enormous damage to America’s sense of justice and belief that “no one is above the law.” “On signing the 1965 Civil Rights Law, Lyndon Johnson lamented, “We [Democrats] have lost the South for a generation.” This moved Kennedy to commit perhaps his most egregious acts when he sponsored two Immigration reform bills that slammed the door on Europeans who had traditionally brought industriousness and honor to America. Senator Reid, We as a country cannot tolerate the massive deficit spending you are supporting. We are practically broke as a country and printing money and getting in more debt to China or whoever else is not a responsible action. We need to let the free market level off and businesses go thur bankruptcy instead of bailing them out. No, No, No, to government health care. It takes billions to implement and the free market must be allowed to give consumers options they want not mandated insurance. The federal government has a track record of not being efficient and losing money just look at social security then the Post Office and other agencies losing money. We need to start paying as we go and reverse the deficit or else America will be crippled significantly and in jeopardy of being worse off than the recession we are experiencing. Common sense says that when you are in great debt you do not incur more of it but seek to pay off that debt with more income. We should aggressively allow oil drilling and refining and get the tax revenue from that to increase federal revenue. We need to use our own oil and the gas combustion engine is not going away any time soon despite the newer technology around. Selling that oil to other countries will also bring more revenue. Most cars on the road are older and most people cannot afford hybrid cars so face reality please. Other concerns: the border fence was approved but it is not being built: we need to stop the incursion of illegals that drain our state and federal financial resources and fill 30% of our prisons. NO to Sonja Mayor as a Supreme Court judge; she was a member of an all woman's group which is not appropriate for a judge and she thinks in racial terms as when saying a Latina is better than a white man and she was reversed by the Supreme court when she decided it was OK to discriminate against white and Latino fire fighters who scored better than black fire fighters. You are on the wrong side of history if you continue to ignore fact that Congress has not qualified President Obama as a natural born citizen. No web picture of any Certificate of Live Birth is acceptable as legal proof for citizenship and a formal congressional inquiry is in order. What will you do if the President is shown not to be a natural born citizen or even any kind of a citizen. You will be on record not caring to fulfill you constitutional duty in this national security matter. When you do something wrong and keep digging a deeper hole you will find it is harder to get out. Recently western newspapers deliberately printed an insulting cartoon against the Islam faith to provoke attention for our rights to 'Freedom of Speech'. What makes Holocaust denial, a form of Anti-Semitism against the Jews, different from the caricatures portraying Mohammad, the founder of Islam, as a terrorist? Is this not also a form of attacking one group of people because of the religion they adhere to, i.e. all Moslems? After reading the facts below, see if you agree with Obama, Ortega, Chavez and Castro that the legitimate President of Honduras was ousted by a "military coup". It took the Obama administration eight days to figure out whether Iranians being gunned down for protesting a fraudulent election and demanding basic civil liberties deserved to be acknowledged by the president of the United States. It took the O-Team less than eight hours to side with Cuba's Fidel Castro, Venezuela's Hugo Chavez and Nicaragua's Daniel Ortega over the ouster of Manuel Zelaya in Honduras. As we now have come to expect, Mr. Obama got it wrong again, but this time, nobody noticed. The U.S. news media, preoccupied with the sudden demise of Michael Jackson, ignored the event in Central America. For those who care about things more important than the passing of a "pop music legend," here's the rest of the story: Manuel Zelaya, a wealthy rancher and agribusiness executive and a self-described "poor farmer," won a four-year term as Honduran president in November 2005, with 49.8 percent of the vote. Article 374 of the Honduran Constitution bars the nation's chief executive from serving consecutive terms. Apparently, one term wasn't enough for Zelaya, a protege of Venezuela's strongman, Hugo Chavez, and Nicaragua's phobic anti-American leader, Daniel Ortega. Late last year, as the Honduran economy tanked and unemployment grew to nearly 28 percent, Zelaya forced Elvin Santos, the country's elected vice president, to resign and began holding conversations with Chavez and Ortega on how to hold on to power. In lengthy Chavez-like populist speeches, he denounced the U.S. and wealthy landowners and linked himself with leftists in the Honduran labor movement. On March 23, he issued an executive decree directing a national referendum on a Venezuela-style constituent assembly to rewrite the country's constitution in time for presidential and legislative elections in November. The Obama-Clinton State Department was mute about all of this. Unfortunately for Zelaya's aspirations, the Honduran Constitution requires that amendments be passed by a two-thirds vote of the country's unicameral Congress during two consecutive sessions. By late May, the Honduran Congress, the Honduran Supreme Court, the commissioner for human rights, and the Honduran electoral tribunal all had overwhelmingly declared the referendum unconstitutional. Zelaya replied with a two-hour broadcast harangue, in which he claimed: "Congress cannot investigate me, much less remove me or stage a technical coup against me, because I am honest. I'm a free president, and nobody scares me."
