Resolved Question: how does the media exploit women?

i have to do an english oral. and i have chosen to talk about how the media exploits women. no, i am not a feminist, but i thought this was something interesting to talk about. here is what i have so far: Today, I am going to discuss why I hate women being exploited by the media. No, this is not a 'feminist issue', it is a genuine problem that our society faces. We are bombarded with obscene images morning, noon and night. And what is the reason for this? Sex sells. It is the biggest human desire, and advertisers and the media know this, which is why it is thrown in our faces. The media sets the trends within a society, it sets the moral values within a society and most importantly it controls what a society will aspire to. The fact of the matter is, the exploitation of women in the media has become so commonplace, particularly in advertising, that most people fail to get outraged or even notice it anymore. Not only are women exploited in advertising and pornography, but even in music videos. Think about it, would you honestly sit there infront of the television, watching a music video if it weren't for some stick insect prancing about? No, you wouldn't. Advertisers use female sexuality to sell their products. It seems that men are obsessed with viewing the female body as an object of their desire, but it also seems that women are too naiive to do or say anything to prevent it, because, let's face it; they didn't ask you to unbutton your blouse to see a better view of your heart! This world is male dominated, and females are seen as nothing more than a thing to entertain you. but it has to be two minutes long, and i can't think what else to write about. ideas?i don't think people have read what i put up the top. none of what i have written bothers me in any way. i did not ask for opinions on both sides of the argument. i simply asked for some ideas as to what else i could talk about. i think some of you have taken this way too seriously. more

Resolved Question: Does anyone have tips on using Vantage Point software for trading the forex market? Have u found it useful?Ta!

I find the short term moving average more predictable to base the trends for the following day or two. What I find unnerving is that it is not as simple as "buy" when the blue line crosses the "black line" as advertised on their website! Especially if the market is quite choppy, this could lead to many whipsaws. I also do not find the neurl index very useful, as at times the market goes in the opposite direction to the neural index. What I do find useful, although this was not suggested by the marketing department, was the use of the short term predictive average crossing the medium term moving average and or the 10 day sma; these proved better as a predictive trend for day trading. I fould the predictive ranges for the next day very misleading and certainly very unreliabe for placing stop losses or take profit levels. Does anybody have any good experience with this software? Your response will be much appreciated! Thank you! more
