Open Question: Will my Australian Bachelor Degree get me a job in the UK?

I just completed a bachelor of business and marketing at RMIT university in Melbourne and I'm wondering whether this will allow me to secure employment in the UK. Australian degrees go for 3 years and do not include honours. This requires another 1 or 2 years extra to gain this accolade. Many jobs I've seen advertised ask for a 2:1 result, and obviously not have completed honours, I'm not sure if my degree is comparable. My results averaged at about 70%, which is considered a distinction by our grading system. Does anyone know if the Australian standard three year degree is regarded as being as good as a standard UK three year degree that includes honours? I'm worried this is going to affect my job seeking chances. more

I'm in the market for a new car and have visited a few dealerships. Each dealership has told me that they can *not* sell a car a two or three hundred dollars above invoice cost. Instead, the dealerships want to charge me the full MSRP, which is about $900 above invoice. The dealerships say that the $900 does not include their advertising and marketing costs. If those costs are factored in, the dealership's profit is really only $500-$600. Is what the dealerships tell me true? Well, ever since I started secondary school at the age of eleven I have always wanted to pursue towards further education at university. Originally I wanted to become a Primary school teacher but since taking part in a lot of work experience in that field, my mind was suddenly made up that that this in fact was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I since have gained a great interest in the marketing industry, and I have come to notice that there are mass opportunities in the market, which has yet to be exploited, and I in the future want to do exactly that. I believe it would challenge my more creative side as well as testing my theoretical skills. I'm particularly interested in the more creative advertising side of marketing and the psychology behind it. I'm very business minded and I have many ideas, which I can expand on in the future. But before I do so I want to be more knowledgeable about the marketing industry, because if I do go into this field of work then I want to know what type of characteristics I need to build on in order to be successful in whatever I do in the future. My auntie is also part owner of a family business, so I have experienced business throughout my life and I believe this has contributed to my passion towards this subject. I have just recently undergone two weeks work experience at my aunties business. Here I helped to create leaflets and posters in order to reach out to the local and wider community. Here, most people are trying to just get in their own boat and sail their own course. Over there they know that if they don’t build a boat together, they sink. I used to use monster.com, careerbuilder.com and Yahoo hotjobs. But Hotjobs and Careerbuilder are so full of ads and phony positions, that there isn't much really there. I have been unemployed for 6 months. I live in Michigan and it is a tough market here. I tried networking with my last position and it took a tremendous amount of time and no benefit.
