Open Question: what are the ramifications of digital media in relation to advertising?
not sure myself!
moreResolved Question: I have a degree..now what? freelance or full time work?
I graduated from ITT Tech last December with an associates degree in multimedia. I know a lot of the adobe programs and was taught a little bit in 3d modeling and animations. Now currently, I am taking classes online thru an art school to get my bachelors of fine arts in digital media production. On top of my degree I am also a single parent.
Now I have thought about going to craigslist to post as a freelance graphic artist but I really have no experience still in this area. Just my works from school and some advertising and flyer design skills that I had with my last job. Do you think I should go into freelance work before I find an actual job in this area to get the experience first?

moreResolved Question: Can you read my scholarship essay to see if I need more detail?
I'm almost done with it, but I just need to know ahead of time if I need anymore detail, etc...
A man by the name of Christopher Morley once stated, “There are three ingredients in the good life; Learning, earning, and yearning.” This statement is true to me on a variety of different levels. I apply what I learn each and every day to the future that is ahead of me, I earn what I want in my life by working as hard as I possibly can on a daily basis, and I yearn to succeed greatly in my lifetime. Growing up as an only child, I have learned to take responsibility for myself early on. I did not have that older sibling to look up to. I had to create my own path, and be successful on my own. To receive this scholarship, I believe you must be balanced, motivated to get yourself on your way to being successful in the future, and have the ability to leave room for improvement. These traits define who I currently am, and who I would like to be when I graduate from college.
Planning to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design in four years, I see myself working for a company who needs someone like me to create a logo, maintain a business website, and advertise what they are all about. To do reach my goal, my intention is to manage my time in school to fully understand what I am studying, get involved with other art students to discover even more of my talent, and possibly intern with a company to get used to working hands-on with potential clients. Earlier this year, I received a January Student of the Month award in my Whiteside Area Career Center classes for Digital Media Arts for getting a GPA of 4.0. Later on, I was put on the Dean’s List for my Whiteside classes as well during my senior year of high school for Sauk Valley Community College. Then, in May of this year, my dream of getting an art award finally came true. I was given the Principal’s Award for my art panel in our school’s art show. I could not have achieved what I was awarded without my strong perseverance towards my career. Getting a degree in Graphic Design has been my personal goal since my sophomore year in high school when I finally decided what I wanted to do with my life, and knowing that I am getting awards for something that I love to do is the best feeling I could ever experience.
Education to me is extremely important especially through the times we are all going through. It will enable so many more doors to be opened once I graduate from college. Most of our knowledge is acquired from on-the-job experience, but college is the true foundation, and without that education, my job would not be within reach. This scholarship will be able to help me have that job that I love, earn a higher salary, and obtain many comforts that others do not have with only a high school diploma. I want to share my knowledge and success with others later on that would like to do just the same.
moreResolved Question: How do I go about getting a New York internship for the summer when I currently live in England?
I've just completed an FdA in Digital Media Design in England, I'm 22 and want to further my career and to see a different part of the world at the same time. I'd quite like to get into the advertising industry as this is the area that my work is generally tailored around.
I've heard about short work placements and even studying for further qualifications such as http://www.mountbatten.org/mipweb
I'd need my placement to be paid just to cover rent etc but have already got money for the flights. I'm looking to go as soon as possible as currently in a dead end job (been there for 8 years already and just need to get going with my life!) so mountbatten.org is no good for me really as I wouldn't be able to go until march 2011!
I've been able to find a few sites in regards to internships or job placements but they are generally for people already living in America. Any help or information for people outside of America would be great, and thanks for taking the time to read my post.

moreVoting Question: what do you think about art majors and art school in general? is it lame?
There are actually very few people out there who can "draw" and devote there lives to art. Art is actually in the business of communication, and you seem to be in the mindset that "art is for art's sake"
Lets start off with drawing. Drawing is the absolute foundation of art, and your sketchbook is much more than a bunch of pretty pictures; it's a collection of thoughts, ideas, drafts, observations, moments, etc. Film is art, too btw, so have fun in your world without any videos, tv, or movies whatsoever. When you shoot a movie, a director most likely graduated from art school or hires artists to plan the movie. Here's where the sketchbook comes in. Do you think movies are born from nothing, but a script? There are storyboards and plus you don't just learn art techniques in art school, you learn how to think and grow with your own ideas. They story and script come from a concept and that concept is what you have to defend for in the art world.
Moving on to things I'm more familiar about. Animation is a hybrid between all art forms. There's drawing in hand-drawn animations and in Flash animations. Claymations, and stop-motions are pretty self-explanatory. Here you say "with the computer nowadays you know. no body really needs you to draw anything precisely". That's bull. There's no computer that draws things out for you! Did you see Avatar? That was a movie ten years in the making almost entirely by human hands at computers. Granted, there were actors, but there images were overlaid and CGed as a base. Animation is Is the crossroads between tradition art and digital media and all your cartoons, advertisements, informercials, hell even sports games have animations on them. You know hen you see the scoreboard appear out of nowhere and then when you see reviews and stats on your favorite players? That's animation.
Graphic Design is something you'd probably wouldn't be able to live without unless you decided to camp ut in the middle of nowhere. Nearly all advertising on billboards, online, on tv,on everything you own, Coke cans; that is all Graphic Design. Hell, Gaia wouldn't exist without Graphic Design. Every logo, image, everything in your room, is a product of Graphic Design. (Except for your furniture, that was from Industrial Design which is still an artform you couldn't live without.) Think about every logo you know, it from Graphic Design, and again, they know how to draw
moreResolved Question: Where can I get free music that I can edit and use for free?
I'm making a commercial for a local Restaurant for my Digital Media Class. I have done the shooting, I just need a song to play in the background. I need to edit it so it can't be copyrighted. It can't be weird it needs to be a song that could air and is just typical for commercials. It's to advertise so it can't be depressing it needs to be upbeat. Is there a site that offers this? I tried creativecommons.org but didn't have much luck. Or maybe a genre that would be good?

This is the information we were given for these two subjects:
Digital Media
This exciting course will develop your creative ICT skills using the latest computer technology. You will learn new software applications and use them to create mini projects of your choice. We will be exploring web site design, computer animations, digital imaging and movie making. You will also be able to use object based programming language skills in designing and creating a computer game. The emphasis is on the practical use of software rather than documentation. If you are interested in expressing your imagination in new, dynamic ways then this is the course for you.

You may have noticed all the awareness information for the charity KIVA around school. This is coming from the year 11 business and enterprise group. We have been doing lots of cool stuff like dancing to thriller in our lessons. However we do actually do things that are sort of important. Thrillerthon is one of the many ideas for the future that you could carry on. We have also taken cake sales to a new level with our pre-ordering and intensive advertising campaign raising a record amount of money for cake sales. As well as this we are running the Wii club every week.
This work is going to the charity KIVA. You’ve probably got the message about it by now but just incase; KIVA is a charity that works in supporting social entrepreneurship in developing countries. In English that means it raises money to be invested in people’s small scale businesses for them to bring themselves out of poverty, then pay back the money which can be re invested.
Emma says ‘At the time it didn’t feel like we were doing any serious work but looking back on it I’m proud at the amount we’ve achieved.’

This course will incur some costs and sometimes we will not be coming back straight after school. BUT we may not do the activities you normally associate with curriculum PE. In the past we have been able to offer, depending on numbers and availability, a little dance and trampolining but we also propose to try cycling, rock-climbing, (indoor and out), squash, badminton, Pilates, yoga, golf, skiing, Taekwon-do, horse riding, curling and even ten pin bowling.

moreVoting Question: Anyone want to help out a B student with college and majors?
I'm a junior in one of the very good public high schools in Chicago and although I'm not a bad student, I've never been in the same league as the "elite" or competitive kids. I'm looking for some input and ideas about colleges I should look into. Thank you.
If you want details...
I messed up badly my first semester freshman year (2 D's, 2 C's...), but from the second semester till now I've only gotten A's and B's. My unweighted GPA is a 3.5, my weighed is above a 4.0. I'm taking two AP classes and plan on taking two more my senior year. I got a 27 on my ACT. I'm actively involved in three well known clubs and have about 100 service hours through volunteering at a science museum.
I honestly have no idea what I want as a career though... I'm interesting in architecture, science (in general...) advertising/communications, computers or tech, and digital media. Any help at all would be appreciated, thanks!
moreResolved Question: Can the owner of the Sun and Fox talk credibly about freedom of press?
Rupert Murdoch: Gulf states should open up to foreign media
Guardian Unlimited, March 10, 2010
Rupert Murdoch called on Gulf states to open up their markets to global competition from companies such as his own News Corporation by cutting regulation and ending censorship. In a keynote speech expounding the value of media content for its ability to contribute to global economic growth at the inaugural Abu Dhabi Media Summit, Murdoch said light-touch regulation would help the oil-rich Arab city state build an effective creative industry. "A creative sector flourishes best in societies where governments intervene with a light hand," he told an audience of 550 delegates at the inaugural summit. Echoing a theme that is likely to be repeated at other events during the two-day summit, Murdoch promoted the idea of paying for content in a digital age in which much is expected to be free. "In many parts of the world, we are finding that the best way to finance quality content is by having a balance of advertising and subscription revenue," he said. Murdoch, the owner of the Times and the Sun in the UK as well as the Wall Street Journal, New York Post and Fox in the US, also made a call for press freedom in a country criticised by others for its censorship.

I'm a college student, and the main thing I'll be using it for is homework, the internet, watching videos, etc. I am not a gamer AT ALL. About the most intense game I might play on my laptop is solitaire. But I do a TON of multitasking. I'm the type of person that at any given time has 3 word documents open, Itunes open, 3 Firefox windows open with like 20 tabs in each.2 or 3 folders open, and a few other random things open. My laptop right now has 2 gigs of RAM and a dual core processor and it still freezes quite a bit.
I found an Asus on Costco's website for $549 after mail in rebate. It's considered a thin and light laptop which I like because I will be taking it to school. It also has great battery life (they advertise 10-12 hours, but idk if I believe that). It also has more RAM and a bigger hard drive than my current laptop. I'm just not sure about the rest of the specs:

Hey. So im at a local college currently. i work part time. i really don't know what i want to do, and i know no one can tell me the exact answer, but im just wondering if some of my ideas seem... sensible. and hopefully i dont end up to be broke on the street.
But i want to a designer, graphic arts, digital media, something along those lines. I love art, drawing traditionally, also computer art, web design, advertising and i think im good at it. I want to go to school for this, but from what ive seen there so much competition, and with the economy sucking right now, I dont know if i could get a good job with this. I dont mind working, regardless. And im not the type of person who is in for anything just for the money, but i want to be able to pay the bills you know..
So just asking for advice, are there jobs in the field of graphic design/arts, web design? With a bachelors degree? I live in a small area now, but plan to move to a bigger city in the next five years (when i get a degree)
I would also say that my work is above average. Not trying to be arrogant, but yeah do you think I have a good shot at getting a stable job, and this is the right direction for me? Or should i go for something I am POSITIVE ill get a job in because its so needed and mainstream

moreResolved Question: What should I be learning for web design?
I am currently attending the University of Alabama, majoring in Digital Media and Advertising. I have learned a lot about programs like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, but I was recently turned down for a job because I was not familiar with Flash. I would like to teach myself Flash, and some web coding, however, the last web coding class I took was in 2005, and I learned basic HTML. I've kinda been out of the loop as far as coding since then, so I need to know what type I should teach myself. I was reading on Wikipedia, and it seems that HTML 5 may be the new standard, but I figure that there is someone out there MUCH more knowledgeable on this topic than me. I just need some direction as to which types of coding I need to familiarize myself with to be able to build a more interactive, modern website than the ones I know how to make with simple HTML.I am not concerned with the difficulty of learning, so please don't exclude suggestions because I am out-of-date or a beginner. I have self-taught myself much of the Adobe Suite, and HTML. I am very dedicated to being a quality graphic designer, and being able to create stunning websites, so I am more than willing to put in lots of time to learn what I need to know.

moreResolved Question: Anyone else wake up to no TV channels this morning?
Our TV region is undergoing the digital switch over, Granada region is the largest switch over so far. Advance publicity advised that it would be simple. Since the 4th November this is the 3rd time we have had to re-tune digital equipment, and there are stories of people loosing channels or having the regional TV they watch changed. We were informed last night that another re-tune is required, so this morning switch on TV and.....nothing. Hopefully it will be sorted later, but it's not the simple process that is being advertised.

I have always wanted a job in advertising but have no idea how to get my foot in the door! My dream job would be to be the guy who comes up with ideas for advertisements and pitching the to the boardroom... is this an actual job role or just part of a larger role? Although I also study designing im not the best artistically, whilst my ideas are great my drawing skills etc are not so great.I have around 6 months left at university and am willing to take part in any work experience if you know anywhere that does this. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
moreResolved Question: my life seems depressed but doctors say I'm not depressed, whats wrong!?
for over 7 years now ive been struggling to find something that moves my heart to a point where I can wake up with the desire to do that particular thing regardless of anything else. I know that what I am expecting is not way off base because I remember feeling like that when I was young(10-13 years old). I've always been intrigued by how things work, had a great childhood in a great school. I always tend to be self taught and always searching for something more. over the last 7 years I've gone through several states of mind concerning why I feel so empty if I have a good, healthy, stable life with a loving family, believe in god(not religion) and happen to be talented in several fields. First I thought that I wasnt putting much effort in, so I tried harder..eventually nothing changed so I thought maybe I was focusing on the wrong activity...I ended up learning tons of stuff about people, me, and the world...however I still feel empty. so I turned to a doctor, perhaps I suffer depression or something similar. I was tested and nothing, i'm ok. I've always been good at arts, sports and physics. I began studying industrial design but later transfered to industrial engineering because I felt I needed more of a challenge involving math in my carrer. along side my studies I painted and show my work in art galleries, I played soccer. I designed a website just for fun and then people began calling requesting my web design skills, later my graphic design skills, then I ended up programming software. with that money I bought a camera and ended up learning photography. Later, feeling empty, I changed carrers again moving on to mechatronich engineering to spice things up a little bit more. There I learned electronics, mechanics and other stuff. with this I built an animatronic snowman to decorate my house in chirstmas. several months ago I was called by a multinational advertising company offering me a job regardless of me being in college still. This position required me to desing advertising strategies in digital media. the list goes on, the point is that I've had a wonderful and priviledged life but I feel empty. I wake up in the morning and I go on just driven by the hope that perhaps today I will find something that makes me passionate. I feel full of energy and willpower just about to explode, I want to use all that I've learned and make a change, make money but I just cant find something that makes me passioante. ]Im tired of trying out things just to see if they make me feel something...so far Ive done this and all ive got is beeing good at a lot of things, but not really good (dont care if im not really good, just happy to do it!) at anything.
any opinions, insights, comments are welcome!youre right wtfoff, I used the phrase "got tested" as a summary for this case. just to keep this short and dont make an already long story, boring. thanks for your comments ;)

I've been working in the advertising / marketing industry for a few years now (been on the client, website, and agency sides of the biz).
I really want to put together a time line or "game plan" for my career.
My father is a senior manager at a financial institution, and he recommends finding a mentor who is in a position that I aim to achieve.
Most of my work has been in the digital (online) space.
Right now the (abbreviated) plan is: to gain a strong grasp of all mediums, get an MBA from a top-30 business school, and eventually end up as a Product Manager or CMO for a fortune500 company.
I was thinking of placing an ad on CraigsList or LinkedIn, but don't know how best to word something like this, or even if those places would be good to use -- where do successful marketing / advertising professionals frequent? :)

Im looking at going to school in the fall although not for sure since im not sure how much help i can get.
My real question is i have no idea where to go or what to go for. I thought about going to Full Sail for their recording arts or music business but that is way to pricey for me. I live in ohio currently so local would be nicer, but not needed.
I have a passion for digital media. Mainly music, i love recording etc. But i also would love to pick up some photography and video editing not a ton just enough to know basic manipulation etc.
So what degree would envelop these 3 things the most. I know their are electives and such but im trying to keep it simple. i was thinking a recording arts or music with a minor in advertising for the video and image stuff?

moreResolved Question: I am doing my expository speech on iPods I need some help please?
here is what I have right now .... CAN SOMEONE please help me and give me some interesting facts and something i could include thanks :
HERE IS WHAT I HAVE
•iPods Notes
•iPod is the brand of portable media players designed and marketed by Apple Inc. and launched on October 23, 2001.
•Apple has lauched four verisons, shuffle, nano, classic, and touch
•Apple's iTunes software can be used to transfer music to the iPod
•As of September 2008, more than 173,000,000 iPods had been sold worldwide, making it the best-selling digital audio player in history
•History
•The iPods line came from Apple's "digital hub" category, when the company began creating software for the growing market of personal digital devices. Digital cameras, video cameras and organizers had been selling on mainstream markets, but the company found existing digital music players big and clunky or small and useless
•The name iPod was brought to the table by Vinnie Chieco, a freelance copywriter, who was called by Apple to figure out how to get the word out about iPods. After Chieco saw a prototype, he thought of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey and the phrase "Open the pod bay door, Hal!", which refers to the white EVA Pods of the Discovery One spaceshipApple researched the trademark and found that it was already in use. Joseph N. Grasso of New Jersey had originally listed an "iPod" trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in July 2000 for Internet information The first iPod kiosks had been demonstrated to the public in New Jersey in March 1998, and commercial use began in January 2000, but had apparently been discontinued by 2001. The trademark was registered by the USPTO in November 2003, and Grasso assigned it to Apple Computer, Inc. in 2005.
•iTunes
•Most everyone who uses or has an ipod uses iTunes for all their music needs. You can download itunes for free off the internet. Once you have it on your desktop you open it and go into iTunes Store and you can buy all your songs there. Each song is $.99 or $1.29 depending on how new the song is. The store became the market leader soon after it was launched. You can also buy movies, tv-shows, music videos, audiobooks,iPod games, podcasts, and buy or get free Apps for a iPod touch.
•Many accessories for the iPod line were made. This market is sometimes described as the iPod ecosystem. Some accessories such as sound recorders, FM radios, wired remote controls, and audio and visual cables for TV. Other accessories offer features like the Nike+iPod pedometer and the iPod Camera Connector.
•Since October 2004, iPod lines has dominated digital music player sales in the United States, with over 90% of the market and over 70% of the market for all types of players
•Some downsides to iPods are battery issues, reliability, and durability. The advertised battery life on most models is different from the real-world. Most iPods were advertised with a 14-hour battery. A MP3.com put out and article saying that it was vitually impossible. In 2003, lawsuits were charged against Apple, complaining that the batteries lasted for shorter lengths of time than said and that the batteries slowy lost power over time and decreasing the battery life even more. The lawsuit was setteled and for people who were involved got $50 store credit, or battery change. iPods have been criticized for their short life-span and fragile hard drives, It concluded that some models were more durable than others.
•iPods have many different size compbaliltiy ranging from 512MB to 160GB, that’s 250 songs to 40,000 songs

Can you do it? If you accept my challenge, please email me in a month and tell me of your accomplishment.
Not only are the messages on tv getting everyone to conform into the same way of thinking, the way they want you to think. But through modern technology there is a lot more to it. Have you even wondered for a second why the government has spent billions on giving you a better television picture through the digital switch? At least 200 million tv's needed the converter box. They gladly gave away $40 vouchers for anyone that needed it. 40X200 million, not to mention all of the media advertising about the swith. You do the math, they must really want you to watch tv. moreResolved Question: Male Bashing on TV article please if someone can summary the article!!?
Warning for our male readers: The following article contains big words and complex sentences. It might be a good idea to have a woman nearby to explain it to you.
It's been a hard day. Your assistant at work is out with the flu and there is another deadline fast approaching. Your wife is at a business conference, so you have to pick up your son at daycare, make dinner, clean the kitchen, do a load of laundry, and get Junior to bed before you can settle down on the sofa with those reports you still need to go over.
Perhaps a little comedy will make the work more bearable, you think, so you turn on CBS's Monday night comedies: King of Queens, Yes, Dear, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Still Standing. Over the next two hours, you see four male lead characters who are nothing like you. These men are selfish and lazy, inconsiderate husbands and poor parents.
And the commercials in between aren't any better. Among them: A feminine hygiene ad: Two women are traveling down a lovely country road, laughing and having a great time. But wait. One of them needs to check the freshness of her mini-pad, and, apparently, the next rest area is six states away. A woman's voice-over interjects, "It's obvious that the interstate system was designed by men."
A digital camera ad: A young husband walks through a grocery store, trying to match photos in his hand with items on the shelves. Cut to his wife in the kitchen, snapping digital pictures of all the items in the pantry so that hubby won't screw up the shopping.
A family game ad: A dorky guy and beautiful woman are playing Trivial Pursuit. He asks her, "How much does the average man's brain weigh?" Her answer: "Not much."
A wine ad: A group of women are sitting around the patio of a beach house, drinking a blush wine. Their boyfriends approach, but are denied refreshment until they have "earned" it by building a sand statue of David.
Welcome to the new comic image of men on tv: incompetence at its worst. Where television used to feature wise and wonderful fathers and husbands, today's comedies and ads often feature bumbling husbands and inept, uninvolved fathers. On Still Standing, Bill (Mark Addy) embarrasses his wife Judy (Jamie Gertz) so badly in front of her reading group, that she is dropped from the group. On Everybody Loves Raymond, Raymond (Ray Romano) must choose between bathing the twin boys or helping his daughter with her homework. He begrudgingly agrees to assist his daughter, for whom he is no help whatsoever.
CBS is not the only guilty party. ABC's My Wife and Kids and According to Jim, Fox's The Bernie Mac Show, The Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, and (the recently cancelled) Titus, and the WB's Reba also feature women who are better organized and possess better relational skills than their male counterparts. While most television dramas tend to avoid gender stereotypes, as these undermine "realism," comic portrayals of men have become increasingly negative. The trend is so noticeable that it has been criticized by men's rights groups and some television critics.
It has also been studied by academicians Dr. Katherine Young and Paul Nathanson in their book, Spreading Misandry: The Teaching of Contempt for Men in Popular Culture. Young and Nathanson argue that in addition to being portrayed as generally unintelligent, men are ridiculed, rejected, and physically abused in the media. Such behavior, they suggest, "would never be acceptable if directed at women." Evidence of this pattern is found in a 2001 survey of 1,000 adults conducted by the Advertising Standards Association in Great Britain, which found that 2/3 of respondents thought that women featured in advertisements were "intelligent, assertive, and caring," while the men were "pathetic and silly." The number of respondents who thought men were depicted as "intelligent" was a paltry 14%. (While these figures apply to the United Kingdom, comparable advertisements air in the U.S.)
Some feminists might argue that, for decades, women on tv looked mindless, and that turnabout is fair play. True, many women characters through the years have had little more to do than look after their families. From the prim housewife whose only means of control over her children was, "Wait till your father gets home!" to the dutiful housewife whose husband declares, "My wife: I think I'll keep her," women in the '50s and '60s were often subservient. (This generalization leaves out the unusual someone like Donna Reed, who produced her own show, on which she was not subservient.)
Then, during the "sexual revolution," tv began to feature independent women who could take care of themselves (Mary and Rhoda on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Julia, Alice and Flo on Alice, Louise and Florence on The Jeffersons). So now, 30 years later, you'd think that maybe we'd have come to some parity. Not even.
Granted, men still dominate television, from the newsroom to primetime. And men do plenty on theiMy question is can someone summary this article like what actually is the author trying to say what his good point and what his weak point. how can we realted taht in our life. pleaseeeeee

when they ask you to agree to their submission policy, thats probably the only terms and agreements on a website that ive actually read through. one thing concerned me: "3. License To Use Artist Materials. a) to prepare and encode Artist Materials or any part of them for digital or analog transmission, manipulation and exhibition in any format and by any means now known or not yet known or invented;
b) to display, copy, reproduce, exhibit, publicly perform, broadcast, rebroadcast, transmit, retransmit, distribute through any electronic means (including analog and digital) or other means, and electronically or otherwise publish any or all of the Artist Materials, including any part of them, and to include them in compilations for publication, by any and all means and media now known or not yet known or invented ;
c) to modify, adapt, change or otherwise alter the Artist Materials (e.g., change the size) and use the Artist Materials as described in Section 3(b); and
d) the right to sublicense to any other person or company any of the licensed rights in the Artist Materials, or any part of them, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
e) Artist acknowledges that Artist will not have any right, title, or interest in any other materials with which Artist Materials may be combined or into which all or any portion of Artist Materials may be incorporated.
f) During the Term, deviantART's licenses under this Agreement include the right to use any part of the Artist Materials in the promotion, advertising or marketing of the DeviantART Sites.
g) As used in this Agreement, the term "Artist Materials" means any content uploaded to the deviantART Site(s) which may include without limitation Artist's name(s) (including professional names), trademarks, trade names, likenesses, photographs, biographical materials, audio-visual materials, artwork, liner notes, and other graphical, textual, video, film or audio materials and any and all "skins," computer-generated images or other artwork or images that Artist submits to deviantART in any medium or format whatsoever."
the chance, i know, is slim, but i prior to that, they claim that the artist retains the rights to their work at all time. however, it appears that they claim that they can also use your work, which concerns me. enough people use the website to the point where enough people must be comfortable with these conditions.

"Market Development and costs
Many businesses use its website to appear on other markets. It is relatively cheap comparing to advertising in media and allows a business to expand into new markets without huge costs. Cost of setting up a website depends from type and size of the website. The business will need to choose between building its website itself or hiring web designers. Using a web designer can be expensive, but they have a better knowledge of what works on the web and build a more effective and more safety websites using the latest techniques. A website can break down geographical barriers and create new ways of communication. The Internet gives smaller businesses a relatively low cost strategy for competing on the same online terms as much larger competitors. Using a web appearance helps to reach into a new areas which may not normally be able to reach because of limited capital and expand markets more cost-effectively.
Often using web designer or web design agency mean that the business can use existing connections to secure payments system which is very important for businesses like English language school because most of people are concerned about payment security. A web presents will help the English language school to became available for everyone."Alphabeat No.1 fan it doesn't take long...

To give you an idea, wedding photography consists of

A week of photo editing
Three days building a per view website and albums

moreResolved Question: I need like 50 more words to this essay...can you help me?
I believe that my education here at The New York Institute of Technology teachings will give me an opportunity to promote, advertise, and to even change peoples lives for the better in the field of Communication Arts. Communication Arts is like a cancer, it spreads world wide, just like this years November 4th Election, because change will come. When I said C.A. is like cancer, I really mean it is like a cancer, because it could go from one country to the next. Communication Arts is a field with 10+ options to choose from. These 10+ options that the Communication Arts field has to offer includes: advertising, audio recording and radio, digital film, media studies, print and electronic journalism, public relations, corporate and documentary video, television production, web design and computer graphics. Communication Artist are responsible for letting the public know the new trends in fashion, whats going on behind closed doors in the government, and the latest in entertainment. A communication artist is also responsible for putting other businesses, or services out there. A Communication Artist can develop a web page or commercial for the next Civil Engineerer, or the latest rap or hip hop artist. One of my accomplishments that I am most proud of is my social skills, because that is not an easy thing to overcome. It is so hard; it’s harder then having a baby and I am a dude. In college, as I learn of the teachings that NYIT has to offer me, I plan to write up a business plan, and go from the bottom up.

moreResolved Question: Advice on moving from Melbourne, Australia to San Francisco, California?
I'm a BA graduate, mid career and planning to travel with 2 other girls from Australia. We're intending to eventually move to San Francisco to find work.
However we need to know what preparation we need to undertake. We all work within advertising/media/design sector, can anyone please advise whether it's easy or difficult to find a job in this field. In addition what type of salary to expect?
If you're working within print or digital media, can you please recommend the best companies to apply for?
We'd also be looking for long term accommodation, where would be the most suitable location for us to reside in considering the commute to work?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
