I think the majority of people that go on yahoo answers are from middle to lower class socio-economic status. Those driving a Honda type of vehicle and not an expensive luxury car like a Porsche. Everyday for the past week below my yahoo ID name there's been an advertisement of a $100,000 Porsche. The advertisement is for you to be wowed and research the car and purchase it. But since most people on Yahoo Answers can't even afford the car and will never buy a Porsche what's the point of even advertising it here? Why not advertise something realistic like a Toyota or Mazda or Ford or Honda, something that people can afford.?? Why does Yahoo do that?Colours, clearly you don't understand what i typed up. moreOpen Question: ♥poll What do you think about advertising♥?
I know this is long but please just take the time to read it, If you have time to answer tons of other pointless questions you have time to answer mine. Ya know what irks me? The way the media takes advantage of it's audience! Like ya know when you go to see a movie and your sitting in the theater and for like 20mins before the movie you have to sit through commercials, Like car commercials, soda commercials and condescending advertisements belittling you because you didn't buy your tickets online! Screw these people with a lawn gnome! I'm so sick of being stuck somewhere watching some stupid commercial for some crap I DON'T WANT! No wait! It doesn't end at the theater! Its in your computer! No matter what you watch you have to sit through some idiotic commercial beforehand! Wanna watch a short? Sorry, You need to sit through a super powerful adhesive ad! wanna watch a new clip, HOLD ON THERE! Theres a new dog crap remover you need to know about! It continues to go on on and on and on and before you know it you won't be able to walk outside your front door without an ad painted on your sidewalk!!! I don't go outside unless I have to so I'm fine with that...I'm just saying! Advertising has become unnecessary evil, to a certain extent! It helps pay for certain things and helps people maintain certain aspects of there business. However,When I go to a movie theater and i'm already paying $20.00 for a movie ticket why the hell do i have to sit through commercials!?!?!?!?!? What are they paying for?? The popcorn? Oh no sorry thats like $8.00,wait! Maybe the ads cover my soda,Wait! nooo...$4.50! maybe, just maybe ill get i special trinket from the movie I just saw oh noo! THATS GUNNA BE $35.00!!!!! So what it looks like to me is pre-rolled advertising in movie theaters doesn't pay for anything!!! I get no discount, No free candy,No cookies not even a dang taco crumb! I get nothing! All I get is bombarded with crap insulted by morons and taken advantage of by paper pushing idiots! So anyways, What do you think about advertising? Is it to much or not enough? Your input is wanted! moreOpen Question: Youtube advertising please help?

Today I recieved a random phone call of an automatic message saying ADT security employees are in my area and installing systems. It asked me to press one to get this system installed. This seems like some kind of obvious scam and it really annoys me that scumbags make money by tricking people like this. This is really a fake call correct? I would thinkADT would not send advertisements to random phones unless this is some advertising thing because I gave my phone # to some website that they sponsor. Please confirm for me that this is definately a fake call and who can I report it to. moreOpen Question: looks like i still need help with the apostrophe Rules - Any One?

Recently, this car company, advertised in this magazine the following statement: 100% Guranteed Approval No matter What. 0% down, and 179.00 dollars per month on there cars. I wwnt to the lot to purchase the car. After I test drove it, I was told that I had to fill out a credit app, to see how much money I would have to put down. I told the car salesman that I wasn't putting anything down, because the ad said, 0% down. Advertising is old: Some advertisements on paper go back farther than two thousand years. In ancient Greece, it was quiet common to see signs advertising different kinds of services, but it was not until printing was invented that modern advertising was born. In Europe, in the seventeenth century, they use to place ads in newspapers; some of these ads were personnel messages, but most were for business. When many emigrants come to the United States, they used advertisements to get jobs; we can only imagine them going thorough each newspaper very carefully. moreOpen Question: how to advertise on inquirer?
how to make an advertisement in inquirer.com.ph? i need a step-by-step procedure. please help me. :) moreVoting Question: Question about an advertisement style?
Is there a specific name for a style of advertising where you use an object that is not a food, and market it in a food-like manner. I know a lot of skateboard and shoe companies do this, and I'm pretty sure I've seen makeup/perfume marketed in this way. An example would be something like this: http://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/traktor-upgrade-offer/ Okay so maybe not as cheesy and direct as that one, but you get the idea. Is there a name for that type of advertisements, or am I being overly specific? moreVoting Question: How do you think advertising (and other media) "quotas" should be handled when it comes to race?
I recently saw photos taken in a shoot with a local clothing store. The resulting images will be used primarily in local store advertisements, most likely within a twenty mile radius. The store markets toward females, and twelve local young women were used as models. I noticed something interesting, though...three are white, three are black, three are Hispanic/Latino, and three are Asian. While this does give equal precedence to each major race sector, it doesn't represent the local race distribution at all. We don't come anywhere close to having equal numbers of those four groups. I've seen three primary methods of handling this sort of thing: 1. Based on equal numbers. 2. Based on proportional distribution of the overall area the advertisement/etc. will serve. 3. No set quota at all. What do you think of each type? Do you think that "quotas" should be determined? If so, how?Arrogant bastard -- but bad ethics can raise eyebrows and harm the business side of things. I do agree that number two is the most appropriate method, however. moreVoting Question: WoW Suspended or Banned? Please help.?
I was talking on the general chat and I got disconnected. As soon as I sign in i receive this message: "This World of Warcraft account is no longer available for use." A couple of minutes later I received an e-mail from blizzard which said: Violation - Advertisement and Spamming This account was closed because a character on the account repeatedly abused World of Warcraft's in-game chat system. This abuse includes advertising third party services/websites and repeatedly spamming in-game chat channels. Abuse of this nature pollutes chat channels shared by all players and harms the game environment as a whole. Does this mean that my account is banned for good? This is the first time that I have received any form of warning or suspension. According to Blizzard's article about Account penalties I should only be receiving a warning, or maybe at the most a 3 hour suspension: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=20221Patrick Star, Blizzard never said that, they never mentioned how long it will be. The link I mentioned shows a chart on how long and for what reasons people will be banned for. moreOpen Question: i found a site that i think may be a human trafficing site?

whenever i try to watch something online, i get these ads that dont actually show up. all i hear is the audio. its really annoying having to pause the video so i dont miss anything. there are a few ads, but they have nothing to do with whats being advertised. and its only on that page, so i would have to close the page just to get it to shut up! and that sucks, because i have to wait an hour just for the video to buffer back to where i was. Nail salon using my pictures for online advertising? A year ago, the old boss i used to work for wanted me to take pictures for her new business nail salon. I did so. Things went sour and I had quit. We agreed that she would credit the pictures when she put it on her website, now she is using those pictures to post all over the web in advertisement and all, what should I do? In what words and ways can I tell her that this is not ok?I kind of figured I'd get no where with this since there is absolutely nothing in writing. We only agreed on words that she would credit my photos when she put them on her website. But there's no crediting on her website either. I was a nail tech and I was on my lunch break when I took the photos. I just figured that if she didn't credit me on the part she agreed to, that she doesn't deserve any rights to the images. moreResolved Question: Nail salon using my pictures for online advertising?

How to advertise free of cost on Internet? I want to advertise on Internet I want to send my message or advertisement to the thousands of people in few minutes but there are some websites which ask credit card or money for the advertisement while I don’t have money nor credit card. Hello! I'm taking CPE2 classes and I've always had problems with compositions... I am trying to improve it, and that's why I'm asking for help. I must use a more appropriate and elaborated vocabulary. As I love british English I thought it would be better to ask you =D The proposal is: You have seen a commercial on your local TV station which appeard during a children's programme. You feel that an advertisement of this type is not suitable for showing on children's TV. Write a letter of complaint to the television company, explaing why you object to it and what you would like them to do about it. It must have 300-350 words. This is my rough draft: Dear Sir, I am writing to complain about the clothes advertisement currently being displayed on the children's TV channel, between one and other cartoon. The advertisement shows a girl, actually a young teenager wearing inappropriate clothes, with a high level of sexual insinuation. I feel that this claim is really irresponsible. For a start, this kind of clothing is unacceptable for a teenager. The advertisers also seem to have forgotten that it is been displayed on a children's TV channel. In my view, this type of advertising only encourages children to act like adults. Furthermore, the advert suggests that in order to be popular girls have to act in a unscrupulous way. I would argue that this can only encourage those children to maintain a kind of a sensual image. The kind of behaviour that you are encouraging is totally destructive, children might lose the best part of their childhood trying to be someone that there are not. Don't you think children's advertisement should encourage them to study, to have healthy habits? May I request that you have this advertisement taken down as soon a possible? While I have no objection to clothes being advertised, I feel strongly that this type if advertisement should not be allowed. I have already written to the company concerned, requesting that they remove this advertisement from their campaign and giving them my reasons in detail. I look forward to hear from you. Yours faithfylly, Amy moreResolved Question: Calling all Pokemon Fans!?
Okay, so this is pretty big! A cool website will be released fairly soon, which is a dream for Pokemon Fans who enjoy using their Wi-Fi abilities. This website will hold daily tournaments where up to 500 Pokemon users (of the following games: Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black*, and White*) can battle to win the tournament and be presented on the website and put into a larger tournament, where they can battle to become the Pokemon Champion! And every Pokemon Champion will have the opportunity to battle the Master 5 (will be explained on the website). The reason I am spreading the news BEFORE the advertisements are being released for the OFFICIAL opening is because a prototype website will be released very soon for one to three soft openings! If you reply to the question, leaving a comment of how it sounds, and if you want to join, I will personally email you to help you get set up onto the website. And if you are wondering how I know so much about this - I am apart of the Master 5 and am responsible for advertising the real website. At 12:45, I will open my account for chat and emailing if you have any questions! *Black and White have not yet been released to North America. The website is not build to support any Wi-Fi Battles away from North America, but will eventually support all countries. This production is not (yet) sponsored by Nintendo. moreResolved Question: IS IT OK To Use a Pornographic Images For Your Business?

This is CNN's viewpoint: http://money.cnn.com/2010/06/21/news/economy/california_budget_electronic_plates/ This is an alternate viewpoint: http://dvice.com/archives/2010/06/bad-idea-digita.php Advertisements would be on your private car. It would seem requiring you to use your private vehicle to advertise products or services you find offensive would equate to "big brother" going too far. Would there be a big brother GPS connection to your car to flash Amber alerts and advertisement changes? It would seem there would be power consumption off of the car's battery when not running, what issues could that cause? The license plate number has to be visible all the time. Would intentionally killing the power to the plate make it blank to assist criminals? Removing power could be done easily enough. Has anyone ever tried to read a plate number in a spit second, in order to assist law enforcement? Not too easy getting it right, and just how much more difficult will it be to catch that plate number when advertising is also there? It would seem that most everyone views their vehicle as a personal extension of themselves. Has California finally slipped over the edge? Today, I purchased the Blu-Ray of "Seven Pounds." It had a digital copy with it, on a separate disc. It contained a slip of paper, with a redeemable code on it. I put the digital copy disc into my Mac and opened up iTunes. It came up with the screen to enter a code. I entered my code, correctly, might I add, and it said that the time to redeem this code has expired. I was promised a digital copy with my purchase, as it was advertised on the front of the cover. The movie was sitting on the shelf in the store for months, and it expired. I'm rather disappointed that I am unable to get it, due to that fact. If it had been sitting on my own, personal shelf, neglected, and had expired, I could completely understand. But this is ridiculous. I feel this was almost a "false-advertisement." I am thinking of writing articles online related to advances in a specific type of technology. My question is, should I start my own website or begin this project by starting a blog? The reason I ask this is because I want to start out with advertising support (like Amazon.com products), but with the option to expand by selling my own products? I understand a blog is easy in regards for uploading articles, but how well does it support advertisements for SPECIFIC products, like from Amazon.com? I have a coffee shop specializing in specialty coffees, i held a blind taste test vs. starbucks and our coffee was picked 5-1 Would it be libelous to post these findings on a banner or advertisement along with the fact that our coffee is cheaper? I wouldn't want to use their name specifically (and let me know if this would be even worse) I was thinking about fashioning a green/white circular logo that obviously hints towards Starbucks next to our findings. Is this illegal in anyway? I understand it can still be libel if it is true but technically, to me, the findings do not seem malicious or defamatory but more like a statement of fact/findings.
