Open Question: Classes for those with Special Needs?
I’m looking at starting a company offering classes for those with special needs throughout the UK and was wondering if anyone knew anyone who offers such classes, no matter what subject. I am doing some market research to see if they would be willing to pay £25-£40 a month for someone to book sessions, keep track of calendars, chase payments, answer telephone calls, respond to emails and postal duties. They would also get a page on the company website, business cards and advertising and marketing. It’s a long shot but I thought it would be worth a try. Thank youI know someone who does this full time and I wasn't very clear in my question sorry, it will mainly be aimed at schools, not parents, though parents would be welcome as well. moreOpen Question: Scammed by an english website, what can I do?
Hello, I have been advertising on my websites for this english website homepagefriends, now its called supportingfriends. They are SupportingFriends Limited, a company registered in England & Wales. They are I have referred 100s of users to their site, but now they have no paid me in over a year, and they don't react to contact. Now in Germany I could order Inkasso (debt collection) agencies, or a court Mahnung (admonition), or simply press charges on the police website. All costs would be charged to them. Is there similar methods in England I could use? Anyone know a collection agency that deals with small amounts of internet funds? I could understand this happening with an overseas company, but England? There must be something that can be done. moreResolved Question: Is this an illegal form of advertising?
Okay, so I'm 14 and I've been using this site called FreebieJeebies, and to get my free item, which in this case is an iPhone 4 - 32GB SIM FREE, I have to get 29 referrals, which basically means I have to get 29 people to sign up at this link http://apple.freebiejeebies.co.uk/338359 So far, from YouTube videos and just posting around forums, I've made 1 referral, and at this rate it's going to take ages to get my iPhone. I want to use the methods that the guy in this video teaches http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUOku7gPRvY So I want to like go around and whenever I go out and I like go to public toilets, I will put like little business cards down or like flyers. I was just wondering though, is this illegal? I will be like leaving them on tables deliberately and when I go camping soon I want to use this as a chance to place more around the village we're going to. The business card will just have "Free iPhone" printed at the top, with some information underneath and then a website I will be setting up for it. So here are my questions... 1) So, what parts of this are illegal? 2) How much trouble could I get into for this? 3) Am I likely to get into trouble? P.S. It may sound stupid, but on the business card I'm going to say that I'm a woman and that the website is run by me, to bring in more people. P.S.S. I don't want any answers saying this website is fake, I know for a fact it's real.I don't care if it was illegal for the website to make me want to sell this idea, I'm not selling it. Also, could you please just answer the questions I ask? I only want to know about if it's illegal to place around the business cards. moreOpen Question: What is the most suitable thing to do?
My idea is building an online delivery company to deliver food products to people. Moreover, nobody here does that kind of service. Everything is online except having cars and some employees for delivery. Do you think that i can generate a lot of money by online advertising if my website is very popular (aside from the delivery service) or do you think that time is out for new generations to start making money on the web. Because of the freaking amounts of people that are in many online businesses. I really want to know how things really work. Because most of youngsters that made it big, were involved in online activities. So i think too much between the both. But first i want to concentrate on my delivery business, but want to learn how can i make it proper. Like how can i sell it to big organisations. And how do you find your experience with the web. Because i don't want to blog or affiliate, i want to do something i love and turn it to profits. Bottom line is how to use the internet to make it really BIG??? moreOpen Question: Making money from my website?

We have our own website www.bayernbrufc.co.uk, team sponsor and some local companies that we work with in regards to local/charity events How can I generate money from advertising on our website, obviously I can easily add company logos. links, info and just about anything else company wise to our website, but how can I attract or go about firms that would gladly pay to advertise on our site? moreOpen Question: EBAY Will not let me purchase a leatherman multi tool?
I wanted to buy a leatherman multi tool on ebay USA but EBAY wouldnt allow me to purchase it because it goes against their weapon and knives policy. This is what appeared on their website when i tried to purchase one. Dear buyer, To prevent the circumvention of the eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie Weapon and Knives policy, it is not possible for you to bid on, or buy this item. Thank you for your understanding. eBay Trust & Safety Does anyone know how i can purchase one off ebay? I cant understand why they allow people to advertise these items if they wont allow me to purchase one. Im wondering does it have anything to do with the fact that im registered with ebay UK and its against their policy to buy these items whereas ebay USA dont have restrictions on these items? Has anyone come across this before and know if thre is anything I can do to be allowed to purchase one? Thanks. moreVoting Question: where can i advertise my art website for free/advertise website for free?
Hi i have just opened a website www.exiledartandcraft.com to sell my hand made art and craft does anyone know how i can generate more traffic for free so people can see my items? moreResolved Question: I want to start a website... advice please...?
I think I have a great idea for a website. I don't want to give too much away but it's nothing too big and bold (I'm not talking amazon or eBay here!). It would be made up of a forum, where users register and chat, with some other pages being made up of readable information. I'm looking for an income stream from adverts. The subject of the website and forum is in an industry where advertisers do pay good money and there is good demand for advertising in this area. Basic membership would be free but I would also be looking for a premium membership service where members could pay say £10 a year for access to the premium forums, where I would pay an expert in the field (who's already agreed to be part of the project) to give members advice and pointers in the subject. I need advice on where to start. I have very basic HTML skills, and I've worked with CMS. But I need to know how to get this off the ground. Is it worth my while paying an internet company to design and host my website? If so how much would this usually cost? Thank you! moreResolved Question: why doesn't jobcentre plus bring in more revenue by advertising brands on their website?
or better still get companies to pay the unemployed to advertise their brands by wearing them all the time (so long as they aren't stinky chavs-because then they would lose sales.)I mean government as that is who is behind the job centre. Is there a law against advertising on the website? moreVoting Question: my job was advertised whilst on suspension?
i was suspended on allegations of misconduct, whilst on suspension with pay my job was advertised on a recruitment website! At least a week before i was sent a letter to attend a disciplinary interview. Is this against the law?In them doing that would it not mean that they had already decided to terminate my employment before having Disciplinary interviews with the rest of the staff? The whole point of these interviews was to gather more information from all parties involved. If the day after mine and others' suspension were declared, they had made there decision then the whole process was unnecessary and also unfair! Regardless of what new evidence came to light ( as it did) they had already made there decision! moreResolved Question: Dubstep track on new MTV naked advert?

Please help me! I slaved my ass off to buy my 1st car, and I could just afford the insurance, I enetered everything on the website how I should and phoned them up today to book, now they have told me that as soon as you add a second driver the price goes up, even though I did add a second driver on the quote, and that is included in the price, now they are telling me it would be over £3000! One guy even told me the quote was incorrect, but that isn't my problem is it? If I was doing my shopping online and something was £3.50 and when I got it delivered they told me it was actually £35.00, they would still have to sell it to me for £3.50! What can I say to them? Surely if I am quoted a price, than that (or roundabouts) is the price I will pay!Quote was £1500.... It was the only quote I could even begin to afford for ANY car. I took me ages to get. Can you actually bargain with insurance companies? moreResolved Question: River Island's rabbit and panda hat?

BUT I ran a cost per impression advert on Facebook which failed miserably.. Is PPC Different? I mean if i set a budget which equaled 500 clicks per day on google ads would i achieve this? Facebook advertising is really bad - Will google be better I need to expand i do not own a website any advice would be really helpful How do you make your money? Hi all, I have built a website for a new business model which I feel can be very successful, I used my savings to have the site developed and register the company. After spending money on development and corrections to the site to complete it I am almost down to zero to market and give this business the launch it really deserves. Its an extraordinary idea, I just completed a beta trial with real good results. I know the government advertise technology investment funds but how does this work, whats the likely hood of getting this and how long does it take? I have just qualified with hairdressing and I have advertised and done everything I can to get some clients and am getting knowwhere, I have advertised in thomson local, I created a website, I got business cards and leaflets even car door magnets as I am wanting to be self employed mobile hairdresser. Someone help me, got any tips?? moreVoting Question: Dynamically rename DIV container?
So here is the theoretical scenario, I have these two containers named "content" and "advertising". Obviously "content" holds the website's content, and "advertising" holds the advertising to the website. I'm aware of adblockers, they can be programmed to automatically hide the div named "advertising" to remove the adverts, so what if we could give it a random name? So that's my idea. Once the website is loaded into the browser and the advertising div created, is there any way I can use a client side scripting language to rename the div? ----------------------- When I say rename, I mean change the ID of the div. Javascript example something like "advertising.innerHTML" to "387694.innerHTML".Yes, I understand I could do this using PHP, just PHP requires me to contain the Style in the page - which I didn't really wish to do. Though if this is not possible with a client side language then I will switch this problem to server side. moreVoting Question: Where Can i premote my website online for free?

Hey! I would really like to get referrals for the site freebiejeebies! Its an advertising site where once youve signed up, completed an offer, and then referred others to do the same, you can receive a free item, and for 31 referrals I can get an iPhone! to sign up please use the following link: http://apple.freebiejeebies.co.uk/313974 Here's some information below I found: HOW IT WORKS: 1. All you need to do is sign up (you only give details of age, email, name and address - so product can be delivered to you). 2. And then you simply complete an offer from the list shown after signing in, the most popular is Lovefilm.com as you only need to do a free trial and you can cancel before it ends so you do not pay a penny. (You do not have to do an offer from the link given on freebiejeebies, you can open a new web page and it will still work.) 3. Once you have completed an offer, you then have to refer friends to do the same. Once your friends have also done the 3 same steps as you, you will be given your free gift. Support from the website: Is this real? It most certainly is. It's an advertising scheme to get more people looking at some of the offers which we are affiliated with. Basically, when a user completes one of the offers on our site (e.g. LOVEFiLM) we get paid by the advertiser. This way, we can cover the cost of your free gift and still make a small profit. A lot of TV programmes and magazines have featured this sort of advertising, including BBC and the Wired magazine - so you can feel confident that it is genuine. For more proof please visit eXceem, which is a forum dedicated to the UK's Freebie Scene - www.exceem.co.uk Proof it works: Why not visit eXceem. eXceem is an independent forum where people discuss all aspects of freebie sites, such as ours. Sometimes you might find that you are unable to complete one of the offers available through the links on our site (for instance, if you do not have a credit card or if you have already completed the offers that you would like to do). You can still get a gift from any of the freebiejeebies sites. All you need to do is obtain 3 extra referrals in addition to the number required for your chosen gift. So if you want to get a gift which is normally 6 referrals, you can get 9 referrals and we will accept 3 of them in lieu of your own offer completion. Thank you very much for agreeing to support our Centenary Golf Tournament on Saturday 28th August 2010. This will take place at St Luke’s Park. The tournament gains in popularity every year. Its success is due in no small part to the continued support and encouragement of local businesses. We are always pleased to welcome new promoters. Each sponsor has an advertisement in two local newspapers, this is in addition to being given a site where advertising can be placed on the day. Unless we hear to the contrary we shall assume that the draft we sent to you previously is acceptable. If there is any alteration, please let me have an amended copy as soon as possible. The cost to sponsors of this enjoyable occasion is £140 plus VAT and our sponsorship form and invoices are enclosed with this letter. Please make cheques payable to Progress Golf Club. I am about to start up a small business and am thinking about names. I have one in mind, but someone else is already using it. Can I still use it? We do not offer the same things, and the other one seems to be simply a website (it's a website for ettiquette and politeness) whereas I will be offering an actual service. Can we share the same name if we do not offer the same things in the same way (ie I will not be internet based, as I will work mainly with clients - just using the internet for advertising and contacting) I do not know whether this website has IP'd their name.. How would I find out? Thanks in advancePs just checked - they are a "blogspot" website. Also i put the name into google, and other people have used this name for small shops in areas that I do not live.. So could I use it then? moreResolved Question: How long/is it possible to make a website like this?
I have been offered to make a website advertising a therapist. I don't know the first thing about web design, but I am told that if you get a book, it will walk you through every step you need. Will I be able to do it? And also how long do you think it will take to make this website? It doesn't have to be top notch, just nice, presentable, creative, and colorful. moreResolved Question: How to advertise my gaming website?
http://www.theoldgametalk.com I'm looking for help on how to advertise this website to the masses. I'm ranked number one on Google for "Gametalk", but that isn't helping me at all. I think it would appeal to people looking to post there because you don't need to register or activate anything, you just choose a username and password, post, and your account is automatically registered for you to login. It's self-created, too, No phpBB or Vbulletin or anything like that, so it has a more homely touch and can easily be updated. I've tried everything, really. Paid ads, advertising to my group of friends (instant messengers and Facebook), and I'm not sure what else to do. moreResolved Question: Anybody know of a good website to look for jobs in Spain?

I am really interested in this course but worried about the grades needed to be accepted. It states on the website that I need two A levels/ foundation course and three GCSEs. This seems fine but the boundaries will go higher becuase it is a popular University. I have good GCSE results, an A in Film Studies and a B in English at A level. I also have a D in Psychology...didn't do so well in that :P I am doing a diploma in Interactive Media now because I realised I had chosen the wrong subjects at A level :/ I am worried about this diploma because I am achieving mostly passes but many of the London Univeristies ask for DMM at this level. I am good in one area; illustration in advertising where I can achieve distinctions. But there are other areas which I can't stand such as web design and animation which lower my over all grade. I am still in my first year so have chance to improve, but worst case scenario I will have PPP, an A in Film Studies, a B in English and a D in Psychology. Is this bad? Does anyone know what is needed to get onto this course? Has anyone done it already? moreResolved Question: Other methods to advertise your company online?
My job is to advertise my company's website over the internet. What else could I do or use to advertise it? Thanks in advance. moreResolved Question: How can get rid of adverts at the top of my Internet browser?
Okay, I've got this new laptop, a few months ago. Great. Internet browser works fine, fast, like all new computers do. Great. I haven't download many programs, only the necessary I need for schoolwork. Great. Until now, my internet browser is getting a bit dodgy. And it's driving me MAD. I keep getting a pop-up saying '100 px'. And whenever I press the red 'x' button at the top, a white blank space appears and pushes the whole website down. And in that blank space, are adverts. Adverts that advertise many unpleasant things, I don't want to go in to. Not so great. So, what's my point, here... 1. How do I get rid of them? 2. Is my computer causing this, or is it the website? Many thanks, I love all you computer genii. xoxo moreResolved Question: if I buy something off of a person through paypal, am I still covered if they dont send it?

I have been treated abysmally by my Marylebone solicitor. He made a minor mistake initially over the court hearing- which we later won with the respondent being told "you have no defence".He was to repay the £15,000 plus interest as agreed in writing plus costs awarded and legal expenses. . The solicitor gave me no further information until I went to see him three weeks later. He revealed that I would have to begin recovery proceedings. I gave him the instruction to go ahead immediately.. . On calling him for a progress report six weeks later he said he would deal with it when he returned from holiday! After many months he eventually registered a charge on the man's property. I then instructed the solicitor to get the Court's consent to sell. I had to give him this instruction THREE times - without result even though he asked each time for confirmation. Without my consent he granted my debtor (I was out of the country) an interview at my expense, then said there was now no option but to get an Order to Sell. I told him to go ahead without delay. Despite repeated emails he refused to respond for over FOUR MONTHS! He had done nothing! I wrote him a very sharp letter, sending him yet another £3,000. Shortly afterwards I had an email informing me he was leaving the company THE FOLLOWING DAY but giving no name or address. I telephoned the senior partner who assured me he would call me back after the Christmas break. I never heard from him again. Complain? There is nobody to complain TO with any chance of success. All documents were forwarded to the LEGAL COMPLAINTS SERVICE which took six months to complete its report. (This is the only channel for complaining) Their report upheld ALL my complaints and instructed the solicitor to refund half my fees paid. (An almost insulting amount considering the stress andd inconvenience he caused over four years!) However the solicitors refuse to pay. So? The LCS claims it has no power to enforce it findings and closed the file, Consequently one is entitled to ask what is the purpose of HAVING the LCS if it is a toothless tiger? Before brushing me off I was told to seek the funds from the firm's insurers. Even before I wrote they claimed the solicitors were not insured in those areas. As 6 of these were those advertised on the LCS website as being legitimate grounds for complaining of bad service if proven, what WAS the insurance company responsible for? Nothing? Both men are now working away earning fat fees elsewhere totally unaffected by their lack of service and professional integrity.. Another side to the story. Documentation shows clearly NOT. The Law society does NOT deal with complaints. The LCS itself has been fined thousands in the past three years or so for its own unsatisfactory work (which it affects to know nothing about.) In effect the information on solicitors' websites and notepaper that they are regulated by the authorities is palpably untrue. Clearly they can do anything and get away with it. IS THIS NOT CORRUPTION? People in other professions would find themselves in deep trouble if they were proven negligent. And what solicitor would take on one off his own kind in litigation over negligence? moreResolved Question: No Disciplining for truly BAD solicitors?

IS THIS NOT CORRUPTION? People in other professions would find themselves in deep trouble if they were proven negligent. And what solicitor would take on one off his own kind in litigation over negligence? moreResolved Question: How much do companies typically pay per click for online advertisements?
Hello, so I'm doing some research into advertising and I'm basically wondering - How much do companies pay the website owner per click on one of their advertisements? What is the minimum and the maximum? I have a potential business idea involving advertising and I'm just wondering how much they pay per click so I can see if it's viable. I've called a few companies but they seem to be reluctant to release this sort of information moreResolved Question: i am trying to get my website making money. Hi I am opening a sandwich & coffee bar & am looking for equipment that may be second hand. Other than ebay is there a site where businesses who are closing down may advertise their stuff for sale? Other than that if anyone knows of any good places to get catering equipment at cut prices then i welcome your info. Many thanks for your help. moreResolved Question: What is the best way to sell items through a popular website? Amazon or Google or what?
I've had a very nice idea for a website which opens a very good opportunity to advertise maps for sale. Would I be better off using an affiliate method via Amazon or Google? I COULD go directly to an on-line retailer as my website will utilise pay-per-click payment via PayPal anyway so should I stick with this & cut out the middleman? Does anyone know what rates Amazon or Google pay? Can you trust them to give you a real percentage of sales? (WHAT ARE THEY?) More importantly, how can you know what sales you've generated for sure? moreResolved Question: Looking for the Best UK web hosting?
Hi everyone. I'm looking for a good web hosting service preferably that is paid monthly and is at a very good price, Im trying to have a website for my small business which is service based so it doesn't need to be for eccommerce purposes more a case of a small site to advertise my services, no bigger than 10 pages in size. I keep coming to places to fasthost, 1&1, and justhost etc. but although they offer a lot of "special offers" they all seem to be misleading in that you either have to sign up to them for 24mths, but pay in full (although it usually states "just £4.99 per month") I realise that it may average out at that price per month but I cannot afford a large lump sum for hosting. So I'm either after a good host at a cheap monthly rate, or a good host which is an annual rate but doesnt need me to pay for 3yrs in advance. Any help will be appreciated. Many thanks moreResolved Question: Summer jobs in the US for overseas students?

Hi, firstly I ought to say that I have asked this question before, however, i got an answer back saying that it is illegal to babysit if one is unregistered and that i could go to prison for babysitting. I thought that this sounded a little far-fetched so I looked it up on a family information service website to check and it turns out that is totally legal. 'To date there is no specific regulations governing baby-sitters.' Unfortunately after i got the mistaken response that it was illegal, everyone stopped answering this question and deleted their answers. This is why I'm asking it again. Sorry: I'm a 19 year old, currently a first year student at university and am about to be on my holidays. I would like to have a job babysitting and am planning to advertise in the local post office, but i'm unsure how much to charge per hour/ per child. I haven't babysat before but have experience volunteering in a primary school. moreResolved Question: What are my rights, please help?
