Resolved Question: How useful is an MBA in the new media / internet world?

My background is rather unorthodox, and some have said that might actually help me get into a top b-school. I went to art school while simultaneously working in the startup/advertising/new-media world in San Francisco. I have a solid resume showing a clear 'upward path' with both start-up, mid-size agency, and huge global ad agency experience (intern to management in appx. 5 years). I also did quite well on my GMAT, scored 730 with a perfect 6/6 writing score. So...will the MBA be worth it? I killed myself working through undergrad so I'm not looking forward to that again, but at the same time if I could get into a Top 10 program that couldn't possibly hurt my career. I just wonder how useful it would be...in my industry I notice many top people don't have MBAs, and the industry is so 'new' that b-school best practices might not really apply. Thoughts? more
