Voting Question: Another close senate election, this one takes place in Illinois?

"The Democratic candidate Alexi Giannoulias is trailing Republican Mark Kirk in opinion polls ahead of November's election in which Republicans are aiming to erase Democratic majorities in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
Giannoulias's struggles come at a time when Illinois Democrats appear to be in disarray.
Scott Cohen, a pawnbroker-turned-politician who won the Democratic nomination to run for lieutenant governor, is fending off accusations that he brutalized women.
The Illinois legislature impeached and removed Democrat Rod Blagojevich as governor in January 2009, and he has been charged with racketeering, fraud, lying to investigators and other criminal activity tied to schemes that included trying to sell Obama's former U.S. Senate seat.
Prosecutors investigated, but ultimately opted not to charge Democratic Senator Roland Burris, the former Illinois attorney general who Blagojevich had appointed to serve the remainder of Obama's term, over his contacts with Blagojevich's brother before being appointed.
"Illinois politics has a life of its own. There is the symbolism of possibly losing the seat he (Obama) once held in Illinois, but he has 500 other things to think about," said political analyst Michael Mezey of DePaul University in Chicago.
BROADWAY BANK
Giannoulias, 33, serves as state treasurer. Republicans are spotlighting the soured real estate portfolio at the Giannoulias family's Broadway Bank, including loans to Michael "Jaws" Giorango, a convicted prostitution ring operator.
Broadway Bank was recently ordered by government regulators to raise additional capital -- after Giannoulias received his share of $70 million in proceeds following his father's death.
Giannoulias is trailing Kirk 46 percent to 40 percent in the latest opinion poll ahead of their November showdown.
The loss of the Illinois Senate race would represent a serious setback for Democrats. Losing control of either the Senate or House of Representatives could undermine Obama's ability to get key legislative initiatives approved.
Republican Scott Brown was sworn in as a U.S. senator on Thursday, depriving the Democrats of a 60-vote super-majority in the Senate, making it harder for Obama to pursue his agenda including healthcare reform. Brown won the Massachusetts Senate race to replace Kennedy, who died of cancer last year.
Cohen's woes have added to the Democrats' problems in the state. His former wife said he flew into steroid-fueled rages and later failed to make child support payments while he aired a campaign ad blitz touting job fairs he had organized.
Cohen said a 2005 domestic abuse accusation that he held a knife to the throat of his then-girlfriend was untrue. The charge was dropped when the woman, an accused prostitute who Cohen said was his masseuse, did not show up in court.
His would-be boss, incumbent Governor Patrick Quinn, said on Thursday that Cohen should drop off the Democratic ticket if he cannot get past those problems.
The deficit-riddled state dominated by Democrats has been downgraded by the debt ratings agencies and ranks above only California. Quinn proposed a 50 percent tax increase, but he quickly dropped the idea and the deficit has ballooned."

moreResolved Question: Should I go to grad school or pursue my dreams to work in the entertainment industry?
Hello. I am a 22-year-old male from St.Louis, MO. I am contemplating my next move in life. In December 2010 I will graduate with my Bachelors. (I obtained my Associates at a trade school.) I don’t know what my next move should be. I am trying to decide should I go to grad school or move to a big city to try to work in the entertainment industry. In the entertainment industry I would like to do the following: appear in commercials, print ads, TV shows, and obtain small roles in movies. I am not attempting to become some huge star, but I would like to see could I make a living in the entertainment industry. Long term I would like to have the proper knowledge base, and experiences to manage others careers, and potentially create my own agency full of aspiring talent. Once again short term I just want to appear in a couple of TV shows, host a show, obtain movie roles, and do some commercial modeling.
I am contemplating moving to the following places… Los Angeles, Chicago, or Atlanta. I know it’s kind of an odd combination of places to try to get into the entertainment industry. The reason for LA is because it is just a given, but the downside it’s way too expensive for me. Chicago is a little more affordable, closer to home, my best friend said I could live with him until I get on my feet, but the downside is it doesn’t have all the opportunities that LA could give me. Atlanta is an option because one of my best friends is moving there to try to get into the entertainment industry, therefore we can go through our struggles together, but I don’t see really that much opportunity there. Graduate school is a sure way to increase my job marketability, and make more money. I could go to grad school for the next two years and be done by the age of 25. I am scared of failing, and I don’t want to waste time that’s why grad school is an option because it is a safer choice.
Facts:
I am getting older, so it is important to be working on a solid career
I don’t have the extra money lying around to waste making a bad decision (I have student loans that I will have to pay back)
I have enrolled in acting classes
I plan on getting headshots done
I hate living in St.Louis
I don’t want to be too broke; financially I am doing ok, and have a lot of nice things that I enjoy
I have been working on trying to speak with anyone that knows anything about the entertainment industry so I can learn from them
People always say I should go for it, and that it seems like I would work in the entertainment industry
I am no fool, I know the odds of making it in Hollywood are not ideal, so it’s not a bad idea to have a back up plan
I am willing to put in the hard work and get a million rejections for that one yes
I was selected to be in an ad ran in a major newspaper in St.Louis, the ad ran more than 10 times
I would like to at least be wealthy by the age of 26
The point of the post is the following:
I would like any and everyone’s opinion on what I should do
Advice on how to get into the entertainment industry would be great
Best city based off the basic information provided would be for me to move to
Good people to get into contact with
Any advice, input, or commentary would be appreciated!!! (I know one can say why not do both… School and pursue the entertainment gig, but I can’t afford out of state tuition. In addition, I want to give which ever my choose as much as my attention as possible.)
Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.

Missouri Prosecuting Attorney Robert P. McCulloch, Jennifer Joyce, and several sheriffs in Missouri have over stepped the boundaries of their positions and pledged their allegiance to Obama. This plan to misuse their positions to benefit the Obama political machine and silence the truth about this anti-American, socialist, Antichrist will not succeed.
Yes, I called Obama an Antichrist. That means I am saying Obama is NOT a Christian and I’m prepared to prove it in a court of law if necessary.
His strong arm team also sent "threatening" letters to several news agencies in Pennsylvania and Ohio demanding they stop airing ads exposing Obama's gun stance.
To all you Obama lemmings out there who just blow this off without finding out the truth about your wanna-be messiah, watch the video and read the truth about your prince of darkness.

moreResolved Question: How do I find a company or agency that would be willing to advertise on my son's DOCband so we can afford it?
My son is 8 months old, and to the naked eye, his head looks fine, however, because of a condition called torticollis he has developed moderate plagiocephaly (a flat spot on his head). To correct his head shape, we are getting him fitted for a DOCband, a helmet designed to direct the growth of his head over the period of a few months. It costs $2700, hardly affordable. I am trying to contact ad agencies as well as companies to sponsor him by placing their ads on his helmet and then we would be reimbursed to pay for the helmet. He is only 8 months old but is involved in more groups than I was in high school. We go to yoga and a library reading group. We are from Chicago and live in an apartment building with lots of other babies so it would be a great opportunity for advertisers. These kinds of things also attract media attention, which would be great for the sponsor! If anyone has any information on how to get a company to sponsor my son I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
moreResolved Question: This Bud's for you???? A boycott of Miller!! We should boycott ALL businesses that hire ILLEGALS!!!!?
WorldNetDaily.com
Illegal crossing fence
American patriots first dumped tea over taxes; now it could be beer over lax immigration enforcement.
More than 100 groups are being organized to support a national boycott of Miller Brewing Co. and parent company SABMiller plc, because of what is viewed as the corporation's support for illegal immigrants and amnesty for them.
"The boycott message is simple. Miller Brewing Company supports illegal immigration by giving money to groups that support amnesty, marches, and benefits for illegal aliens," the announcement on Monday said. "Citizens are encouraged to 'Dump the beer! Dump the stock.'"
Consumers should avoid Miller Lite, ICE House, Miller Genuine Draft and Milwaukee's Best, according to organizers who have posted their documentation and petition plans at MillerBoycott.com.
"It is time for these large corporations that are using their financial influence to open America's borders to be punished!" said William Gheen, of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC. "It is time for the immigration enforcement movement to show these unscrupulous corporations what we can do when we all work together."
The coalition is pursuing the boycott under the auspices of the National Illegal Immigration Boycott Coalition, and will be headed up by Gheen and Jason Mrocheck of WeHireAliens.com and FIRE Coalition, officials said.
FIRE is the Federal Immigration Reform and Enforcement coalition.
"Miller Brewing Company is giving money to groups that support amnesty and citizenship for illegal aliens that have broken many of our laws," said Mrocheck. "The last thing we need is more illegal aliens driving drunk and killing American citizens."
The two lead organizations provide an online database of companies accused of hiring illegal aliens and encourage the securing of America's borders and enforcement of existing immigration laws.
Now their efforts are expanding, because, they said, of a report that shows 13 Americans are being killed by "uninsured drunk driving illegal aliens" each day.
The Chicago Tribune recently had reported Miller paid more than $30,000 for planning, materials and advertising for the "Immigrant Workers Justice Walk" over the holiday weekend.
Miller officials denied it.
"The money supported a recent convention on immigration issues in Chicago, which provided attendees with information on how to become legally naturalized citizens of the U.S.," said Miller spokesman Peter Marino.
Walk organizers said they wanted officials to pay attention to the "contributions of undocumented immigrants," and change laws so that all immigrants can be legalized.
Miller company officials could not be reached over the holiday weekend, but information from the ALIPAC website indicated the situation developed when a group of immigrant advocacy organizations in Chicago discovered the company contributed $2,000 to the political campaign of Sen. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis.
One of the senator's projects has been HR4437, which calls for strengthening the anti-immigration laws of the United States, including a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The company, which also hired three ad agencies to work with its reach into the Hispanic population, then took out a one-page ad in a Chicago newspaper confirming that it opposes the "Anti-Immigration Legislation."I ALREADY boycott Tyson and Pilgrim's Pride (SHAME)!!!! I have a friend who works at a prison, and there was an inmate there (an ILLEGAL from mexico), who told my friend that he worked for Tyson chicken. Well, the inmate had T.B.!!!!! I REFUSE to buy food where ILLEGALS are working!!!! I don't want some illegal hacking up T.B. or some OTHER third world DISEASE on my food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
