Resolved Question: I want to start my own little company...?

with my brother in law. Im 21, hes 23, I'm the more ideas based, business and paperwork minded one and he is the more arty / designing one. Anyway, we want to make a small t shirt / clothing company. We've got tons of designs, we know what we want to be called, we've practically already sold about 20 or so t shirts to people, and we've been advertising on the web. However, the ones we have already made are tacky. They are cheap fruit of the loom t shirts, with the fruit of the loom label inside and basic prints! What I want to know is, does anyone know of anywhere where they can do a decent print, and when they produce the tsshirt actually put in a design on the label that we've designed? And also the little tag on the sleeve, rather than it saying fruit of the loom, or squat orange etc?? Like a proper t shirt!! Thanks guysHey, I understand where your coming from, but sewn on labels will never look as good as the real thing. I understand its a busy busy market, we're doing it more for fun and something to do when we're not at work, just as a side project really. But cheers, thumbs up from me@ Cala, unfortunately I have a proper job and im not just a secratary, so dont have time to print up t shirts. when i say like a proper t shirt i mean something that isnt A fruit of the loom t shirt with our design on the front. I mean like a superdry t shirt has a superdry label and a superdry design. Its all the one thing..... like a proper t shirt. And when i say practically sold 20 or so, we have had orders, people asking to buy them but as we dont have the stock yet we cant sell them or take any money! So please please please dont try and make me look stupid. Thank you more

Open Question: Can I use my Liberal Arts degree towards my Business Administration degree?

I currently have an AA in Liberal Arts from a community college. I got this degree back in either mid 2007 or early (like January) 2008, I can't remember which one. I got good grades, 3.5 gpa and all. But, I never transferred it to a 4 year university because I simply because I was young, didn't know what I wanted, got an opportunity to live in NYC, etc. But now, I really want to go to a 4 year university and I would like to transfer my AA degree so I don't have to start as a freshman. I know this college accepts credits from my community college but, I would like to go for International Business with possibly a minor in Advertising. Will my credits transfer into that or is Liberal Arts a totally different thing? Also, can I even use my AA degree now, or is it too late? And will my community college still have it? Its been about 3 years. I just would like some advice because I don't want to be in college forever, I'll be 25 soon =/ And I really hope this will transfer well. I know I am going to contact the university and all but, I would just like to get some other peoples opinions and feedback as well. Thanks! more

Open Question: Can I use "fair use" for making business with any company to use their T.V. shows?

I was thinking if I can use the "fair use" I would upload for example I want to use OnePiece I asked 4kids for permission and when there's an advertisement on the video the money goes straight to that company, the company makes money from me and at the very bottom I will add the advertisement since people pay a lot for 1 min long video to cut off a video to advertise than to make a banner. My brother works at Youtube and he understand how to make deals with companies I'll be fine since those 2 former Ebay also created Paypal we can also do the same.Yosei... I'm thinking yes, moron! Open Question: How does a small business use FACEBOOK?

Making new business connections (friendships)? Like a lot of home service pros these days I have spent a lot of hard earned cash advertising on the internet, the newspaper, and countless lead companies that all seem to go nowhere, lead companies like Servicemagic.com charge a substantial amount for every lead even if you get the job or you do not, if the lead is a bum lead, or just a curious homeowner looking around. I fully understand that high quality service and mouth to mouth referrals are the best advertising a service pro can do and I have both however, in these hard financial times we all need more. My question is with all the technology out today and sites like Facebook how does a service pro that is not highly computer savvy locate and utilize these type of sites to make new business (friendship) connections? more

Open Question: With biases Yahoo Answers has, does Yahoo deserve to be punished financially and with court punishments as well?

For example, by what I mean by punished, I mean disciplined with punishments such as lawsuits, court fines and intentional financial boycotts that are deliberately announced to their advertising and paid services clients about the reason those clients of Yahoo's are being boycotted is because of the business they do with Yahoo.Especially with favoritism besides biases that yahoo has shown only for certain people including of political matters (such as favoritism they for the right wing [particularly in the libertarian philosophies]) besides favoritism yahoo has for religion hating crowds/bigotry against religions (especially favoritism yahoo has for the crowds that have hate/stereotypes against the protestant christians). Before I forget to mention it also - this is quite evident in what people can see in "allowances". more

Voting Question: Does business or engineering sound like a better fit for me?

Background info: I like a lot of different things, but mostly trucks and MMA excite me. In school I always loved math and science, my favorite math being statistics. I really liked American Gov. class just because I like news and just understanding what's going on in the world. I like puzzles like sudoku as well. I am trying to decide between an economics/business administration double major or mechanical engineering. I honestly could see myself enjoying both (kinda.) I looked at the classes for both and, to be honest, the classes for economics sounded most interesting to me because of the world outlook in them and just learning about how the system works. I have always admired the ability to use wits and brains to use the system for one's benefit. But I hear about careers economists have and it sounds just awful to me. 100% office job isn't exciting to me. I like the idea of designing turbos for diesel engines or something like that. But I look at the course requirements for the engineering and it looks so boring and all physics and math. I am in Calculus 2 and am finding it really challenging, but I think I should be able to scrape through, but with a questionable understanding of the subject I'm sure. It leads me to the question: Is engineering right for me? Which is more practical and could get me farthest? As for business, I'd wanna do like sports advertising or running my own business. Those are the only jobs that are business related that I think I would enjoy. I don't really like stress and I want a normal work week. I have a job now that I work crazy hours any and every day of the week and I hate it. What sounds like the better fit? I would appreciate any help. Pros and cons of either major and maybe experiences from what being a business or engineering major is like would be really helpful, too.Another part of this is that I'd apply to completely different colleges depending on which major I side with (I'm a sophomore in college-transferring to a 4 year university). So college choices starts playing into it as well. Because I like the school for business best. I like the two engineering schools I'm considering, but neither fit as well as the business school. more

I have a fish business and house started can go with it for just $3000 per acre and the woods for just $1500 per acre. That is a cheap price. Please can you think of ideas besides newspapers? Voting Question: Im trying to start my own business...?

I would like to find some small businesses to offer my services for free... This is for me to practice some internet marketing skills that I wish to offer in the future... I would be able to make them more seen on a local level and also help develop a strategy for them to get positive reviews placed where people will read them and be more encouraged to visit their business. I have already done this for a few friends and so far it seems to be going good. I would also like the opportunity to ask a few questions about their current marketing strategies. Things Like... How long have you been in business at this location? How many locations do you have? What types of advertising do you do? Do you ask your customers where they found you? What % of customers are found online. What is your monthly marketing budget? What % of marketing is online? Can anyone else help me think of some questions I might need to consider? I would really like to find volunteers in different cities. I think this service would be great for restaurants, and independent agents like Realtors, insurance agents and travel agents. I don't want to lie to get people to let me try with their company and so far everyone has said no... Any suggestions? You misunderstood. I would ask those questions to learn the industrys and how they currently ARE marketing. i think to really offer them something I need to know what they are doing already wouldnt you agree? What I would do is make them more visible online. Thats it... and I would like to help me determine a fee using that information that they provided while answering those questions as not to charge something over the top and not to sell myself short.I know there are a lot of business that can benefit from this. It is not SEO. Its using the map on the front page of google searches. There can only be 7 companies on that front page map. so its kinda prime real estate. Problem is noone gives me the time of day. Resolved Question: Women are considered sex objects. Do you want proof?

Before you spew any hate against me, just ask yourself this...why is it for thousands and thousands of years people have advertised women in a sexual manner to bring in wealth and money? It still happens to this day believe it or not. Just look at strip clubs, pornography, model advertising, escort services, prostitution, playboy, etc. All these companies and sex industries rake in billions and billions of dollars a year...BY advertising their women...But you take away the women from these companies, they all go out of business. People have used women as a sex commodity in this manner to make money and it has worked. And women know it too. That's why if a woman knows shes attractive and beautiful, most likely she'll want to capitalize on her opportunities and perhaps become a model or something. The bottom line is, I'm just trying to point to you this the world we live in. Like it or not, this what it is. Economically speaking, women are viewed as a sex commodity. I personally don't like that notion myself, but it is what it is. Don't you agree? (If you disagree then explain why)@MysticForest - No no no lol. I'm not calling you a "sex object." I'm just trying reference the fact that women have been objectified this way for thousands and thousands of years. Surely I cannot say that for all women. There are women today who've done something better with their lives like become a doctor, lawyer, engineer, etc. I'm just talking about how people have used women as "sex-objects" to make money. more

Resolved Question: What ways can I advertise to sell my farm?

I want to retire and today I am age 62. All I have left is 64 acres and want to keep 4 to fix my home and sell it later. The 60 is bare land. I ran an ad in the newpaper $110 in Indianapolis Indiana for a week got no calls. Craigslist was gettign me 3 calls a day but no buyers just lookers with no money. I need CASH not a contract and I am below market price on the land for example 1/2 is wooded and I saw 60 acres worse than mine sell for $1700 per acre at land auction 4 miles away 3 weeks ago, I would survey off 30 acres of woods for $1500 per acre. If the places I run ads are not working and my price is fair and since people were calling me then there is an interest in my land I feel all I have to do is find the proper place to advertise the land so it sells. But the newspaper i used did not work and online has not worked just alot calls no buyers with money. I have considered drive around Indiana and hang up land for sale flyers? Or do mail outs? Both i tried but very limited and got 4 calls. 2 from flyers at an Amish auction near here held each Friday and 2 from flyers to hunting stores men wanted hunting land. My price is fair and my land is below market and nice location with nice neighbors and I have a fish business that will make the payments. I just want to move far away and have no interest in credit sales I need cash. Banks are not making loans now and the people who wanted my land cannot get money MY question is Where Can I advertise to find a real buyer with money? Realtors have not worked I gave 600 realtors an open listing and no buyers.THE QUESTION IS NOT where can I get a LOAN that for for the BUYER I am the SELLER the question is WHERE CAN I advertise to FIND NEW BUYERS. What is all this about LOANS ? Banks are only loaning on 10 acres or less so I need someone wh already HAS money. What places can i Advertise to find new buyers. ??? What WAYS ?i am 62 years old I do not want to wait until the country gets better I also do not want to lower my price I am way below market now, what i want is ways to find buyers because I am VERY confident a buyer is out there ready to buy and who has the money. I need ways to locate them. more

Voting Question: Can a city regulate you having a car magnet for advertising?

I recently had a banner attached to my truck during business hours and had it parked where traffic could see it. I was given a warning and told they will not permit that type of sign, attached to my truck. Now I was thinking about getting some large magnets made and putting them on the truck. The magnets would be legal to have on the truck while driving. The parking is also on private property. Do you think there is any regulation for this? The city code does not address the issue. more
