Resolved Question: Any cheap ad-submitter on the web?
Is there a cheap service online that I submit my site and then my link gets advertised all over the web, search engines, ads, etc? I mean I know there are these service all over and for different high rates but where is the cheapest place you know of that works really well and really brings traffic to your link / site? Thanks moreResolved Question: Why aren't I getting any clients?
I run a freelance graphic design business and I have sent offers to a billion people advertising on Craigslist that they are looking for graphic designers and web designers. But I haven't gotten one single client despite my most dedicated efforts. Please read this email and tell me if I am saying something wrong or perhaps my offers aren't convincing? Maybe the emails are too long? I put all the quick info in the beginning and then all the details after in case they want to quickly read the email. Maybe they don't like my website? I need your help, guys! Thanks in advance. :) -- Hi there, (name withheld). My name is Andrew and I am SmallDot Design. I'd like to offer you my services to create you your dream site for a static price of $700 for a custom site, or $500 for a template based site. Your site will most likely take a maximum of about 2-4 days to create, launch, and set to your domain. Any time you feel like it you can see your site being designed in real time through your internet browser. When it's finished, I'll also show you how easy it is to maintain and update it yourself, if you would like. My portfolio and samples of what sites I have made can be found on my website: smalldotdesign.zxq.net or you can go to arena.wix.com/smalldotdesign to see a list of our websites that you can quickly access. Questions? Call me by my number below, or send me an instant message by clicking "Chat Now" on our website. Here is a little blurb about me and what I do: What are we about? SmallDot Design's mission is to help small companies and organizations magnify themselves on the internet. Our passion for the highest standards of design excellence coupled with friendly and dedicated service is our way of making sure you'll get what you deserve for a price you'll love. Why are we called SmallDot? We consider every one of our clients a dot on a big map. We focus on the smaller dots that want to be bigger. We cater specifically to smaller companies who are looking to take their brand identity to the next level and we offer quality service at prices significantly lower than other design firms. SmallDot. We show small companies big possibilities. Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from you. Andrew SmallDot Design smalldotdesign.zxq.net Call: ###-###-#### (don't want any of you calling me haha)@ Smiling: Whoa sorry. Yes I have been a bit over zealous about "dream website" but I do mean well even If I am overly enthusiastic. EVERYONE please note- the other sites that are in the portfolio are sites I made as demos or for friends or family. NOT legit clients. (When I say client, I mean someone who I do not know who accepted an offer for my services.) @Smiling: What do you mean my portfolio is a lie? I don't understand what that is supposed to mean. I made everything in it and all the websites ARE LIVE. Why don't you actually click the >> button on the bottom corner instead of accusing me of fraud. Now, yes. It was a bad move on my part for not using a more intuitive way to access the sites. But they exist. Promise. Are you saying that $700 is too cheap to believe that I'd make people a full website, or are you just saying that the sites I've made are really only Frontpage sites. moreResolved Question: is this really the worlds longest web page?

Hi! Id really appreciate it if anyone would help me to gain more referrals for freebiejeebies! Its an advertising site where once youve completed the three steps they send you a free item, such as an iphone or ipad! the item you choose will require you to get a certain number of referrals depending on the value of it. for example an ipod touch 8gb requires 8 referrals. to sign up please use the following link: http://gifts.freebiejeebies.co.uk/261801 ive put some more information about it below from my experience and from the actual website: HOW IT WORKS: 1. All you need to do is sign up (you only give details of age, email, name and address - so product can be delivered to you). 2. And then you simply complete an offer from the list shown after signing in, the most popular is Lovefilm.com as you only need to do a free trial and you can cancel before it ends so you do not pay a penny. (You do not have to do an offer from the link given on freebiejeebies, you can open a new web page and it will still work.) 3. Once you have completed an offer, you then have to refer friends to do the same. Once your friends have also done the 3 same steps as you, you will be given your free gift. *** I have done the offer myself and got an Ipod shuffle - It definately works! I didnt trust it at first, but after looking around and hearing from others it works i decided to give it a go. You do NOT need to give them any credit card details as the gift is FREE and you do NOT recieve any spam. Freebiejeebies recieve their products brand new in original packaging. Support from the website: Is this real? It most certainly is. It's an advertising scheme to get more people looking at some of the offers which we are affiliated with. Basically, when a user completes one of the offers on our site (e.g. LOVEFiLM) we get paid by the advertiser. This way, we can cover the cost of your free gift and still make a small profit. Has anyone else noticed how often that web-sites say "Free to Join", when the truth is the following: The only thing which is "free", about these sites, is to register. How many people have noticed that, even when a web-site has a page, which, clearly states that "Your credit card information will ONLY be used for age verification". "You will NOT be billed for this visit" Yet, when you check credit/debit card statement, you find that you HAVE been billed, from $30.00, to $100.00, by the web-site. Is it not openly deceitful, for web-sites to promote "free access", when access is not "free" at all? Shouldn't web-sites be required to change advertising to say "Visit/Tour is "free", but access will cost (how much). Shouldn't Age Verification be changed into the more truthful: "Your credit/debit card WILL be billed this amount for your visit, today"? Why do/are so many web-sites so openly in-correct, or un-truthful, about access fee's. Why do web-sites offer "free access" when, from the moment that users begin signing up, credit/debit cards ARE, immediately, billed, for this "free access"? When makes this type of mis-representation any different than a local car dealer, who promises that "This car is a gem", yet it breaks down before the new owner arrives home, and has to pay towing charges? Any suggestions? moreResolved Question: how to advertise your web site in yahoo?

So I just graduated from college... I've had several job offers that I haven't taken. The thing is I think I actually don't like the field I would be going into. Honestly, I would rather be doing just a general labor job and work outside or something, something that doesn't give me to much responsibility or mental stress on a daily basis. My degree is computer science (web developer jobs for me mostly) I've found that with all my interviews it feels like I'm given to much responsibility and the company could fall and lose a ton if I slip up on one thing (most of the places are advertising and publishing companies), I don't exactly know where to go to find a general labor job, I don't have any kind of network and the way I have been finding jobs is through the internet but I can't find those types of jobs on the job sites. Can you guys give me your views and opinions? moreResolved Question: Would you delete your Facebook Account over privacy issues?
I found the article on yahoo and found it to be very interesting over privacy issues with Facebook and Myspace users. In a seemingly never-ending string of damaging disclosures about its users' privacy concerns, Facebook has reportedly been releasing user data to ad companies that hadn't even asked for the info. Facebook isn't alone this time: rival social-media site MySpace has also been called out in Friday's Wall Street Journal report by Emily Steel and Jessica E. Vascellaro — together with the content-sharing sites Livejournal and Digg. The report says that the companies have delivered user data to major online advertising companies such as Google's DoubleClick and Yahoo!'s Right Media, despite explicit pledges to protect such information. The released material includes user names and ID numbers, together with data that could be used to accumulate a host of additional information on individual users, such as where they live, their names, occupations, incomes and places of employment. As Steel and Vascellaro write: "Across the Web, it's common for advertisers to receive the address of the page from which a user clicked on an ad. Usually, they receive nothing more about the user than an unintelligible string of letters and numbers that can't be traced back to an individual. With social networking sites, however, those addresses typically include user names that could direct advertisers back to a profile page full of personal information. In some cases, user names are people's real names." Representatives of both DoubleClick and Right Media told the Journal reporters that they were unaware they were receiving such data — and stressed that they hadn't tried to make use of any of it. After the Journal contacted Facebook, the company announced a change in software to prevent transmission of the identifying code, the Journal said. MySpace announced that it's in the process of adopting the same user protections. Digg, Livejournal and other sites named in the report are apparently holding off on enhancing privacy safegaurds because they don't require users to register with real names. Still, the report is another black eye for Facebook, which has already caused such an uproar that four U.S. senators — not exactly your typical Web activists — entered the fray over the company's user privacy standards. Meanwhile, Facebook is generating plenty of bad PR all by itself, with an executive's backlash-provoking Q&A at the New York Times and recent reports that users who posted comments critical of founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg have seen their profiles mysteriously deleted. These episodes may well explain the company's other piece of bad news this week: a poll disclosing that 60 percent of Facebook users have considered deleting their accounts because of qualms about the site's privacy policy. moreVoting Question: What are the best ways to advertise your business?

Or streamdirect tv, or satellite tv for pc software?
I did some searching around trying to find the most legit and best quality internet tv software on the web and everything pointed to one software maker: isoftwaretv.com. I just bought the isoftwaretv.com software which supposedly allows me instant access to over 3000 premium channels including ALL the premium channels you get with cable and also the ones you have to pay your cable company extra for. Well..........uh this is a scam people. Sorry. First off in the buying process they only have you put in your email address. Usually with ANY legitimate online store or service you create an account. That's the first clue. Then you'll notice in your address bar that in the buying process you're jumping around to different sites completely away from the domain name of isoftwaretv.com. So they have no way of tracking your account if they were a real company. But they aren't so this makes sense. Next, after they charge your credit card through Clicbank.com they show you get two things for your purchase: the isoftwaretv tv watching software download link, and a link that says "access sports streams". What?! I thought the player was supposed to give me all the sports channels that cable does! So I check it out first and it is all the commentary and stuff you get directly off NBA.com or any other professional sports website, but NOT the game itself. Note that the web address in your browser has changed yet again to http://members-area-tv.com at this point. I'm starting to realize this is for sure a scam. I noticed that I get a receipt from "CLICKBANK" and not isoftwaretv.com. That's funny I thought I purchased my product from isoftwaretv and not from Clickbank. Next, on my emailed receipt from "Clickbank" I see it says "Vendor's Site: http://www.streamdirect.tv" Wow, so I get a receipt from streamdirect.tv but purchased my product from a company who is supposedly called isoftwaretv. Apparently all these internet tv software companies are really just one company putting on different name and look on each of them. So I'm mad at this point and decide to check out the tv software application. It better be good. I flip through 15 channels and all but two of the channels don't even work. So I see what are these other 2985 channels....well they are in foreign languages, poor image quality, and basicaly I wouldn't watch these channels at anytime for free. No live sports, no Live NBA or any professional sports at all. I see only about 20 available english channels and...like I said only two work. Then I get these ad-ware spy programs popping up on my computer advertising for pornography and such with windows that when you try to close them they won't let you. Maybe I've made it clear that this product is only a scam and not a product at all. Funny that no one has bothered to write about this bad company that is nothing more than a scam. Don't believe any positive review on the web, apparently they worked hard enough on their scam operation to fill up the web with false positive reviews. Thing with scams is that it only takes one or two really negative reviews to expose them. So believe my review and don't trust all those other ones. At the very least, if you decided to try the software, make sure you call up your credit card company and reject the charge that was just placed on it if you don't get what you paid for or were led to believe you would receive. That's it, I'm doing that first thing Monday and making sure these guys never get a dime from me. In reading this, please do your duty and notify scam.com or even the FBI to make it less profitable for these type of people. These guys are tenacious so they can and probably will just do something simple like change the name from the current "isoftware.com" to any other random name after they've been exposed through comments like mine. I think the key take-away message here is that internet tv if not freely available on a place like hulu.com or doesn't come up first choice in a google search then it is just not available. If free tv were available then it would be freely available and easy to find, with no software purchase. TV programs are made by and produced by and paid for by their respective networks. NBC produced the shows and paid the salaries of Conan O'Brian, and Jay Leno, etc. That means their content is all theirs and no one gets it unless NBC makes it available to them. Why would they give it away when they have companies like COMCAST paying them for access to their content? I'm not sure about this but I'm thinking that " satelite TV for PC " might be this same company, but you can refuse the charge on your credit card statement if you do check it out and find it a scam as well. moreResolved Question: Need to set up business website. I need to set up a website for my disability practice, as I will be advertising on another site and want potential clients to be able to be able to contact me through my website. I want my domain name to be www.mybusinessname.com and not be a subdomain of my web host, as I also want to be able to be found through search functions also. (Please)?
This post is not some sort of cheap attempt to get a measly few more views on my site from this community. I genuinely want your ideas on my situation. My situation (A new beginning): I just started an IT business a few months ago on the Gold Coast (IT Support, Web design, Computer repair, Computer sales etc). I went all out and QUIT MY JOB to make this happen. Most of my available funds and time have gone in to equipment, general setup (server, web site, some starter clients). I have a couple of refered clients (from friends and family) but not nearly enough to cover my old wage as an Network Administrator. Dilemma (The news): Soon after Quitting my job to start this business I found out I AM GOING TO BE A DAD! Great news...! I am ecstatic! but fearful at the same time because of my situation. My wife will soon be unable to work and I will need to support the family myself. Doing the sums, I figure that unless my business makes an extra 10k in the next 2 months (to cover some financing etc) I will have to give up on the Business and look for work. That would not be a good option as it is hard to find a good salary in IT on the Gold Coast to cover living expenses for Me, My wife, My Mother in-law (living with us) and a new born due in in a few months. So you see, my business MUST WORK! I have no other option. About 5 - 10 new steady clients would do it, but how?! Done so far: Here are some of the things I have done so far (Please be honest with your criticism on these, I need to know what to change): *Registered a business name "DO IT Solutions" (Direct & Online IT Solutions) *Purchased a 1300 number 1300 DO IT 4U / 1300 36 48 48 (cheesy I know) *Created a dot com dot au website (I hope I am allowed to put this:) doitsolutions.com.au *Created a "DOITSolutions" facebook page with a custom welcome page using FBML facebook.com/doitsolutions *Created a twitter account twitter.com/doitsolutions *Linked the special offers on my web site to an RSS feed which updates Facebook and Twitter *Offered a discount for facebook fans (to help raise the amount of fans that will in tern receive my specials via facebook as listed, there are 47 at the moment I think, just friends of mine) *Added links from the front page of my web site to become a facebook fan or follow on twitter *Listed with online advertising on Truelocal (com au site) for $300 / month, considering cancelling it as only getting about 1 view per day and no calls :( *Listed with many other free online advertising sites and some cheaper paid ones (Clickfind, dlook etc) So far I just haven't managed to penetrate the market enough. Please help me think of ideas: Example idea: 1) Brochure, local handout: I am thinking of creating a brochure. One side with an IT Support special and the other side with a Web design special. Maybe a cheap monthly payment plan for a new website (eg. $70 - 80 / month, maybe including domain registration and web hosting or similar) instead of reducing my upfront amount web site amount. And then delivering it to my local businesses. I would hate being one of those annoying people that drop and to give you a brochure unannounced, but I am that determined to make this work. Please, any ideas will help. Share a story about a a similar experience, or a possible idea for a plan. Any input would be much appreciated! :) Michael A. moreResolved Question: I am thinking of starting a web site what is a easy way to do this ?

We have been doing lots of cool stuff like dancing to thriller in our lessons. However we do actually do things that are sort of important. Thrillerthon is one of the many ideas for the future that you could carry on. We have also taken cake sales to a new level with our pre-ordering and intensive advertising campaign raising a record amount of money for cake sales. As well as this we are running the Wii club every week. This work is going to the charity KIVA. You’ve probably got the message about it by now but just incase; KIVA is a charity that works in supporting social entrepreneurship in developing countries. In English that means it raises money to be invested in people’s small scale businesses for them to bring themselves out of poverty, then pay back the money which can be re invested. The tea-party is being PERSECUTED! And those really wild and weird things they do are actually infiltrators from groups who want to DESTROY them by giving them a bad reputation! LOL. As if anybody with a brain cares or knows what they stand for, except for the violence, ignorance and racism they have displayed repeatedly. I got an email, mentioning a this with a link to a site who explains a little about how terrible it is, then advertises their enemy's web site like this: "If you haven’t seen it yet, go to your browser and type in www. crashtheteaparty .org (without the spaces… I refuse to give them any traffic or clicks)." Yeah, space out the URL because this person refuses to give them traffic or clicks, but "here's the site". If that spaced-out URL isn't enough of a give-away, go to the site. It's not much, but there's a link at the bottom so you can go to a 'store' and buy 'crash the tea party' t-shirts. Is it legal to create marketing materials to beef up your resume? Lets say it was posters and videos; would I get in trouble for using copyrighted items such as logos and trademarks to create something an advertising agency might create? I have some background in web design and filming and editing videos and would like to know if the below scenarios are viable. Example: Diet Pepsi. I like drinking Diet Pepsi and would create a 30 second "TV commercial" that I think a typical advertising agency would produce (although on a much lower budget and scale) Example 2: Video games. Lets say a new highly anticipated video game will be coming out and I then go and create a typical 1 page magazine advertisement for it. Question 1: Is it okay for me to do both? Question 2: What if I decided to upload both the video and poster to media sites such as facebook, youtube, and my own personal website (like in a list of "fake ads" I've made) Question 3: I know credit should be given where credit is due, so if I clearly state that I do not own any of the copyrights and trademarked terms in both the videos/posters/websites somewhere, would that be ok? Question 4: Is there a correct term for what I want to do above? Creating fake ads to showcase my creative talents. Sorry for the lengthy question, but times are hard and jobs are scarce...companies only seem to want to hire high gpa / Ivy league students or even accomplished professionals for entry level positions. I have an exchange student company and I have the delight to place exchange students with American Host Families for one school year! These are the coolest of cool kids and they often have so much to offer! I would host all of them if I could! To advertise my dreams of placing as many students as I can it was suggested a web site would be a good idea so its out for millions to see. But I am not very creative it seems! I looked into making one for myself but in honesty I just don't know where to being? If anyone has suggestions will you please let me know? Thank you for your time! If you want more information on hosting I can also hook you up! I am building a little affiliate site for children's products. The site is called TINY TREASURES 2010. The site is still growing, but I want to start getting attention without spending a lot of money. Please take a look and offer any suggestions that you have. All ideas are welcome. Everything that I try seems to have a short burst of traffic, and no follow up. Here is a link to the site http://tinytreasures2010.web.officelive.com Honest suggestions only please. I am having trouble getting people to my web site. I want to know which is the best way to advertise. moreResolved Question: Is Nexus Superstore a scam? (Nx Cash)?
The simple answer is a resounding YES. Their website clearly advertises that you can get 10,000 NX for $15.45 - an outrageous surcharge in reality, but fair enough, if you want the convenience of buying online, then sometimes its worth it. The fly in the ointment is that you will never get the 10,000 NX, at least that is the case if you are unfortunate enough to live outside of the USA. Their system MIGHT work if you live in the USA, its REALLY hard to say. Regardless, their web site clearly advertises 10,000 NX and makes no mention of the fact that what happens next is they send you to another party, who is also not NEXON to turn the code they give you into NX. The code that Nexus Superstore gives you though is not worth enough to buy 10,000 NX, in my case is only worth CDN$10.35 which is $0.78 short of the CDN$11.13 that paybycash.com wants for 10,000 NX - at least today. There is absolutely no way of just saying, ok, I got F#!@ed but hey, I'm willing to pay my $0.78 and move on and put this mess behind me. Nope, the solution is to go pay another $15.45 and buy another card that is worth only CDN$10.35. This means that to actually get your NX you need to by a whopping SIXTEEN (16) Nexus Superstore cash cards, paying $178.08 in exchange for which you will not get 160,000 NX as promised, but 150,000 NX. Oh, and they won't refund your money either. If you paid by Paypal, well you are F@$#ed again cus they say, oh, well Nexus Superstore sent to you SOMETHING and it doesn't matter to us if its not usable or if the quantity differs from what was promised. Bottom line is this is out right fraud. As an update, Nexus Superstore seems to have now managed to actually get me the 10,000 NX that they promised, but only after I filed a fraud complaint with PayPal. Overall its been a bad experience, and is still one I recommend people avoid. Sorry if this isn't the best place to post this kind of thing, not sure what else you are supposed to do here though. Thanks. moreResolved Question: Can you please help the ASPCA,(LITERALLY ONE SECOND!!!!!)?
Hi, all you animal lovers! This is pretty simple... Please ask ten friends to each ask a further ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily so they can meet their quota of getting FREE FOOD donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute (about 15 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals for free'. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Please pass it along to people you know. http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/ Help spread the word, copy and paste this to your email, send this to your friends. Spread the word, it's so easy to do, so please help out, ok. Make sure to come to this website every day ( I think you can only do it once a day) for as often as you can. moreVoting Question: Need your advice for jobs, enlighten someone become as successful/knowledgeable as your self?
Thanks for taking the time first of all. These 2 companies found my resume online and scheduled me for the interview. They both are sales/Advertising/Marketing job. Just came out of one of them, confused and somewhat disappointed because the person who interviewed me did not give me much about the company other than being a advertising/marketing firm. I know it is a sales job and as he said they sell it directly to the clients, through events and such. I asked him straight forward about the salary type, because I was driving an hour away from their location and they want me to come back for a 2nd and 3rd interview. So he said it is both bas+commission or commission only. These are the web sites , please tell me what do you think of them. www.kineticsf.com www.eastbayconcepts.com thanks moreResolved Question: I can't get to the normal site of my space.
